i lived live so hard in 2022 it made up for so many loss years.

i met so many interesting characters but then i forget to give them contact info or we squawk every blue moon, both fur, nonfur, & the [4] converted. lot & NEVER-ENDING networking & socializing. fursuit workshop til anxiety hit hard. learning new things... like ASL. TFF was bittersweet mainly due to severe anxiety/ agoraphobia & wouldntve been possible w/o both hotel & con staff. discovered a new med from 2021 had interesting side effects & suffered horrific memory problems, kinetic memory mainly keeping me afloat. so many local events, parties, furmeets, & concerts to the point of party burnout, five times... so much clubbing that i was recognized by staff? art/craft/bard/dance/the boyo. TFF, TFS, ACFI, after xmas beach party/ adventures (i want to do a furgroup fieldtrip). freelance work taking me all over the place & tested multiple skills. new friends & friends from the past colliding. super fun local get-togethers... but at the same time sometimes bad social anxiety. mixed media Trouble partial debut at nonfur events. art comms, fashion, food experiments, community/ psych friend therapy. Beer pong with Hank Hill, hand delivering celebrities celebrity-memes, abandoned warehouse rave was fun, love the humble peeps, discovering healthy relationships are possible [but being demiaro while having a crush feels like an existential crisis sometimes, very confusing]... i cant wait to see whats in store for 2023. i wouldnt have been able to remember most of this w/o the help oh my phone gallery but my memory is slowly getting better. idky i dont post content anymore but some artwork was made.

so many things have changed in the past several years & rn i haven't felt this this good in years. rediscovering myself, living life, & figuring out home/ work balance. Still trying to start support groups & hang out with friends more but work schedules never yield. I'm finally free. | I am no longer a gambel's quail. I have slowly, secretly been turning into a Curiosity** for years now & am showing my colors publicly. Trouble the 'Curio' was inspired by the white-crested turaco, [sadly] cannabis, & Japanese bleeding heart.
side update: Some social phobia has returned since lockdown. I am hoping the con/fursuit atmosphere will not trigger it but space is needed/ do not crowd. I will most likely be hiding on sidelines, small groups, or on stage somewhere where the crowds don't exist to me. I've been getting better with & have only had a few agoraphobic episodes since 2020 but something to mention as a lk 'leaf me alone'. Maybe i should bring a dry-erase board...

I will be at TFF2022 (if precon test is negative), hosting panels, parties, & heavily debating on wearing Mama Coo fursuit one last time. idk how i feel about reselling or rehoming her since it's a personal, fully handsewn suit... but there are plans for her disposal in the future. **[Curiosity = skull + bird + plant + emotion. I like to go to events & hang out with friends. I volunteer every year just to get people through the door faster/ & if staff needs a hand. I won't be doing a panel this year be we are planning to gather all bird fursuiters together BEFORE the fursuit parade this year ! Please spread the word so we can have a full group photo of our flockfest! This'll be my first year fullsuiting so i might idle a bit (hopefully solo sometimes) but i get easily bored. & I hope to see my friend Korozjin play during Bandthro!

Someone vandalized my car today.
They busts a window, ripped out ignition, actually joyrode it, & stole several pieces of valuable art & even a family photo. i was in bed crying for the most of the day from shock/ fright but.... it feels creepy & i feel unclean/ paranoid. (Faith in Humanity: -10 pts ) :( i am just lucky i didnt pack any fursuit supplies/ any things of value in it the night before... It was towed to the shop. Police dusted for prints. I'm honestly just typing right now to share my feelings because an incident like this puts me into fear others, manic sadness/ depression, & this sounds cliche but, chatting with friends would help me a lot.

After TFF passed along with the stress/pressure of completing suits on time (didn't happen, I temp burnt out), I started really crunching down on job hunting. Just focusing on real life problems that need to be resolved & destressing from everything. I've made a few new friends along the way too!  ciaradragon & got to meet/chat with  anarchity, Ciara's hubby, &  flurrycat. They offered me a week's work helping them with small items at  dreamvisioncreations which was so much fun, not to mention very enjoyable due to learning/practicing new skills! Resin casting kinda reminded me of the patience & heart I tend to put into my baking hehe- very calming. Tldr, these women are more hospitable & kind than any other folk I've met in town.
I put in at minimum twenty applications for employeement one weekend & I got several responses; I already have two jobs secured but the one I've had my eye on is almost complete & Im fixin to start there fulltime on Monday the 24th. There were still some bank teller positions I'm crossing my fingers for (i feel like I can build a career in banking/accounting/ more room to grow) but I'll have to make final phone calls this week to see if anythin will sprout.
My fence is about to collapse & a panel has already fallen so I'm slowly savin for a whole new perimeter. I thought I caught poison ivy from cleanin up the back, however I believe it's an allergenic skin rash from something else- possibly the liquid resin but I'm not fully sure. It's been spreading to my face, neck, stomach; I'm hopin to get a roid shot for it ASAP because....
I will be in the Chicago area this week! Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning. I'm goin up there to see my Navy Bro graduate from bootcamp & several family members are coming. Hi yall. i was just curious if there were any followers/watchers that are or have been vets/ have worked with animals as a career. i have been job hunting for a place that interacts with animals & am considering doing this as a career. i really do enjoy animals & they make me happy so much & i love to care & pamper them. i love avians the most of course, but i also enjoy reptiles & dogs. (mostly experienced with these three but i love to learn more).. which field in working with animals you might ask? well im honestly not sure myself! i am hoping to sit down & talk to some some vets/ animal care specialists/ etc.. asking interview questions & whatnot & to see what their work is like. What they do, how did they get there, what is law required in their work, & what how working with animals affects them personally. so umm yeah! anyone here work with animals? is it possible for me to talk to/interview you about your career? or maybe if you /know/ someone who is a vet, to point me in their direction? i would greatly appreciate it.
