Showing how out of touch I am I don't even know if that's a term we still use. So to define. A popufur is a furry (either individual or character) who is widely known througou the fandom. You've seen them in various commissioned artworks by most noteworthy artists and its quite likely you've had a crush on one of them (I know I have but that is besides the point) so I had a moment when one of them faced something I drew.... and, having been doing this artist thing for over a decade now... damn I'm getting old. I squeed like a little girl. This is so not ok. Xp the funny thing about a popular is their weird ability to bring out the high school freshman in some of us. The odd starstruck nature. The thing is. For that moment when I squeed i felt 17 again. Excited I'd got noticed. It felt good.

I'm gonna frame this with a story from my first con experience at an artist's alley in 2009 i was drawing and selling badges and during the lull on Friday afternoon. Had a walk around. I happened to find one of my IDOLS. Soo.... I open his display book realize who's in front of me and fail to look him in the face. At some point I think I said " I'm sorry I'm not worthy of speaking to you." I eventually got over this. Had a brief and casual discussion with him browsed his displays and went back to work. But it was a pretty cool (or uncool but memorable moment)

It's weird to say that there are furry celebrities essentially. But there kind of are. Anyway I was in a sharing kind of mood. So there. You have a little of my crazy in your head now.

Random thought. I was scrolling through the fursuit section of furbuy (mostly so that I could pine at the cool stuff I cannot afford and came across 2 separate digimon and pokemon suits (one lucario the other gatomon) that's the moment it hit me, because both looked like hastily put together stuffed animals your niece made for you because they were doing so in arts and crafts today sized up to fit a person, that I have seen amazingly few pokemon/digimon suits made with the same care and attention as half the personal characters, commissions and costumes/mask suits I've come across. Why is that? Especially considering that the first generation of pokemon fans are now hitting our mid to late twenties? Hell, I can name you 10 furs right whose sona is some kind of modified pokemon, without looking for very long. It seems like I should maybe come across a handful at least? I doubt they'd be much more difficult to make than the average fursuit, so why furry fandom? WHY?

This is a thing I need to put on my bucket list I think. "Create or commission awesome digimon or pokemon fursuit

IT has been 2 years since I last posted a journal here.... time sucks. ANyway. Currently in a mood that states I should punch someone in the mouf (yes mouf not mouth the distinction is important) Anyway I'm still working on a set of furry XXX playing cards. lineart for 2 sets are done. Moved to a new apartment this month (first time I'm ever living on my own and I'm really excited (really nervous and terrified too though)

with that said I've got commissions open again with negotiable prices (as I need a little extra to pay my rent.) Feel free to message me to work something out.

SCHOOL'S IN! FOR AUTUMN!! (and other general updates)
Yep classes have once again begun and my mismatch of hastily chosen classes are in session. My day job just became my night job (fuck my boss...seriously. If anyones willing to draw myself or one of my characters eating my boss's dick I'd appreciate it) That aside, things aren't too terrible =P.

So then, in other news. For those of you maybe following it over on Inkbunny. The POUNCE project has been delayed the week due to a combination of classes starting (meaning me scrambling to make sure I have my financial aid stuff done) and the inability to find a pose that I like for it. I have four or five sketches stared then crumbled up this time around, hopefully that'll be remedied soon.

The "I Can Haz Laptop. You Can Haz Art" Commission drive is still going and still only has had a single commissioner... kinda saddens me, but hey, life's tough. Get a helmet right? starting this week I might start putting 5 bucks a week from my tips into the drive fund, if I can afford that =P

Ok things have been looking up for me lately, so I thought I'd capitalize on it. My laptop is getting to its last legs and I'm gonna need a new one (but for once in my life of being dirt poor I wanna spoil myself. ) So, since I already know I simply cannot afford it on my own, I'm looking to you all for a little help. I'll be doing commissions for $10.00 per character (payable to my paypal) around the theme of gaming. (the term gaming is very loose. We're talking from tabletop RPGs to Apples to Apples and eveything in between)

There will also be surprise prizes for commissioners at certain price levels (example if your commission pushes the ticker over say the $777 dollar mark you might win an additional free commission, or your choice of my characters to add to you commission for free (to molest and use as you see fit) or maybe your character will be drawn as a villain/being coronated or knighted etc. like I said they're surprises.

in other new. WOW a year since my last journal. don't know how I feel about that, also 7 GODDAMN YEARS on this site and even longer in the fandom.... I feel old as dirt...
