I went vegan! :o Never wanted to or believed i could.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Lol no. I don't really bother making them anymore.

Yes, my mother.

Didn't get to travel. :<
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Going to dragonfest... over all enjoying events i go to more.

3/16 my mother's passing. that's the only specific date i will recall.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Losing 30 lbs, becoming a brony, being honest with myself and my ex and just becoming friends, and hooking up with a friend i have had a crush on! Wooooohooo!
9. What was your biggest failure?
I got re-hired at Liberty tax early in the year and quit early, i feel like i let them down.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes D: I got food poisoning and later had a horrible bad tooth. (it doesn't hurt anymore, but i have yet to have it extracted...)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Hm.. I don't really know :o
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My dear friends who have shown me such tender comfort and rallying support through out this crazy year. :o

*How long have you been in the community?
Well, back in the day i had a FA account, but all i did was go into the chat rooms and watch the furs talk, as i barely understood the lingo.
But i have actually admitted my furry-ness and began buying things in 2010! W000 go me. ^^
*How did you find furry?
I really cant remember... oh wait, now i do. x.x I met a guy in rl who told me that he was a furry and into plushies. I was like 18 and i just nodded, acting like i understood what he meant. Later i looked up those things. The furry thing led me here lol.
*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
I've always been a bit unique... Ever since birth i make a purring noise when i'm amused, i used to play like i was a cat, and then as i got older i developed Tourette's Syndrome... I have a variety of physical tics but my vocal tic is commonly a cat's meow. So~ It just makes sense.
This is a community where i can do all these things and no one thinks twice about it. XD
(Plus furs are cute, and affectionate...and this cat RUNS on affection)
*What's Furry to you?
I find this to be a VERY important question. It's different to every person, so when you see someone say "I'm a furry!" saying "Me too!" may have you saying you are into the same things as them.
To me, being a furry is a way of expression. Not only do i have an outlet to this inner animal, but i'm also working on improving my art skills. It's a great way to make friends and an even better way to spend money. XD
*If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
"Not the sexy kind, not the kind you see on tv! *hides*" <- that's my typical reaction as i say furry and people picture 'costumed orgy'. -.-
*What are your favorite aspects of our community?
The dressing up! I always have loved dressing up and it's always fun, so what's not to love when most of the community are fursuiters?

So many of them are sexual, it makes me sad... like i find 'murry purry' to be so adorable but well, you know what it means. Beyond the sexual ones, i do occasionally but feel a little silly. :p

CSI x.x The media has shoved forward this sub-culture of our sub-culture and so that's what everyone thinks is 'furry'. When i tell someone i am a furry, i wish they didnt think i was confessing some kind of personal kink.
*How strongly do you feel about someone bashing the community as a whole?
So i'm a homosexual, pagan, genderfuct, kinkster, furry fool....bashing and hate are just part of my life. I shrug it off, they can't do anything if you don't care.

If anyone is into 'bashing' me based on the media's aspect of what a furry is, instead of asking me what being a furry means to me... listening to them would be a waste of time and headspace. I have better things to do, like count my teeth with my tongue or something.

lol It is what it is. I'm not surprised that there is sex in the community, especially when some people only feel comfortable in a fursuit, ya know?

Ombre tigre. :D Needs a better name, but it works for now. "ombre Tigre" means shadow tiger which, years ago, i thought was very clever of me... XD Basically a black cat/fox/ ? with white stripes. I think black and white is beautiful <3

General | Posted 14 years agoOkay, so life is settling down again. I'm grieving still but feeling sane now at least... Anyway, so i finally started working on my art requests. I just can half ass them XD Something in my brain says 'They're free! They don't have to be perfect.. But *shrugs* i'm shooting to learn and impress.
So i was struck with a great idea for one of them and set to work right away.. Shapes, sketches, new sketches...edit, edit... final sketch.. It took my spare time between work, sleep and time with my girlfriend. I just kept the program open and my work thus far so my girlfriend could view it whenever and see my progress because she liked the way it was turning out. I was really proud. Well yesterday i started the coloring, i was loving it! I understand layer now and felt awesome... anyway...
As i said, i am doing these for a learning experience...what have i learned? To save. A lot. I dunno what happened, but i got home from work, got on the internet and went to work on it some more and the program wasn't even open. I broke out in a sweat as i opened only to discover that nope...it's gone. Lost forever, and i never saved once... not even the line art. D:

General | Posted 14 years agoI got the news that my mother hung herself a few hours ago... I may be flying out to California to attend her funeral... Anyway, I'm posting this to let my 'free art' people know that it will take a bit more time for me to finish their stuff...
A new commitment...
General | Posted 15 years agoI've hit a wall. I have been overweight off and on since my Freshman year in high school. I was fit at times, starved and skinny sometimes, but mostly i've been fat. I have been able to put up some strong blinders to my size but lately it's gotten to me. I'm not sure what exactly set me off but one day about a week and a half ago i decided i was going to cut down my eating proportions drastically.
After high school, any time I tried to move out on my own I would ultimately fail... I could never find work and wouldn't have the option of eating daily. I would eat every Tuesday as there was a gay youth group i always attended, and once a month i would attend an art walk and hit the two galleries i knew served food. That was my diet. I have never had a drivers license, so i walk everywhere while i was starving. So i lost weight, ultimately.
The trouble came when i would admit my failure as an adult and move back in with my stepmom, a few states away. My stomach was shrunk and it didn't take much to fill me up, but she would see me eat these tiny portions of food and insist that i eat more. I would tell her i was full and she pushed harder. If i fought back she would begin to yell. I decided it was easier to eat than fight over it....so soon my stomach grew again and i was eating huge amounts soon and i gained all my weight back.
This happened every time i moved out and came back.
Well now i'm moved out again and living with my girl friend. I'm doing well! I have a steady job and she does too. We have everything set. But we are both unhappy with our bodies. She quit smoking and gained a lot of weight after we first got together and never fought too lose it. So we have been happy, fat, and lazy together.
So back to the present. I have cut way back on my eating in hopes of shrinking my stomach again as that will greatly help my problem. Well, around that time, my girlfriend's buddy from work said that she had the P90X dvds and would lend them to us. Woo diet AND exersize!
Well today was our first day. We did pretty good... though we had to skip the first disc as we didn't have any equipment. But we did everything on the second disc to the best of our ability. Afterwards we took our 'before' pictures. I absolutely want to stick to this. I don't care to be crazy muscular, i just want to be lean again, but healthy.
Anyway, i have been posting this everywhere because I want to continue without a doubt of failure. If i begin to slip i will go on facebook, or here on furaffinity and see all my posts and be reminded why i'm doing this. I'm not happy, not healthy, and no longer ignoring it.

It isn't too bad as my recent check had 8 hours of overtime and I'm getting my tax return soon but I have been to paypal about 5 times today and I keep seeing my past transactions and going 'huh, maybe I should, ya know... Chill until next check...'
^^ it's fun stuff though. I'm getting a new tail ($70) from a wonderful lady on eBay... My last tail was cheap and plain and actually got a bit burnt as I was dancing around a fire at the last festival I attended. So i am finally splurging on a tail for me <3 it will have all the right markings, the length I want, everything. She says the faux fur she has is suuuuuuper soft too, so I'm very excited about that ( I just need to be careful around fires!)
I'm also getting a fursona hoodie! It was just too good to pass up ... ($85 altogether...) definately looking forward to that! It's shipping from England as soon as it's done. ::happy dance::
Aaaand I'm getting a ref sheet, ($20) woo! I have the sketch of it, just waiting for it to be inked and colored. :D
Lastly, (yeah, see how this is a problem?) I'm commissioning a couple people for art. ($12)

It isn't too bad as my recent check had 8 hours of overtime and I'm getting my tax return soon but I have been to paypal about 5 times today and I keep seeing my past transactions and going 'huh, maybe I should, ya know... Chill until next check...'
^^ it's fun stuff though. I'm getting a new tail ($70) from a wonderful lady on eBay... My last tail was cheap and plain and actually got a bit burnt as I was dancing around a fire at the last festival I attended. So i am finally splurging on a tail for me <3 it will have all the right markings, the length I want, everything. She says the faux fur she has is suuuuuuper soft too, so I'm very excited about that ( I just need to be careful around fires!)
I'm also getting a fursona hoodie! It was just too good to pass up ... ($85 altogether...) definately looking forward to that! It's shipping from England as soon as it's done. ::happy dance::
Aaaand I'm getting a ref sheet, ($20) woo! I have the sketch of it, just waiting for it to be inked and colored. :D
Lastly, (yeah, see how this is a problem?) I'm commissioning a couple people for art. ($12)
Heh... Yay! So if I go broke before my next check and I ask 'where did all my cash go?' all I have to do is go online and say ' oh yeah, the furry fandom' XD
