Strange Bedfellows and Terran Insurrection, same setting!
General | Posted 4 years agoI felt the need to make this journal to clarify some fluff.
Before I migrated here from Reddit, the setting surrounding Terran Insurrection was my main focus. I'm currently re-writing and overhauling the worldbuilding. Certain stories such as Persistent Predators, Strange Bedfellows, and Welcome To Earth took place in the same setting... originally.
Now? I've edited Strange Bedfellows and Persistent Predators today to stay in line with the lore of Terran Insurrection, so they're in the same setting again. I'm calling it the "Persistent-Verse" since Persistent Predators is the first story in the setting with a focus on humans interacting with aliens. Welcome To Earth is now more of a standalone in its own pocket of reality since I don't intend to use the characters involved again, changing the avian character would entail a complete rewrite, and I'd rather not invalidate the audiobook someone made for it.
https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....sistent-Verse/
So... what's changed?
Well, firstly, I've never liked these anthro alien birbs called gasherans. I've replaced them with a similar species resembling anthro moths called besharam. Very big deal, I know. Certain species names were shortened or streamlined. Kalika, now called kalka, resemble nagas with two eyes and arms rather than four because originality is for suckers and those XCOM vipers get me flustered. Menaki are now called minaki. For those that followed me to this wonderful website from Reddit, things are mostly the same regarding the lore otherwise with three alien species in the Interstellar Federation, but one big potential change might entail Earth and its solar system being a puppet government they intend to eventually integrate into the federation rather than already being part of it.
Zmaj are mostly the same, but I might tweak their anatomy or biology a bit. They don't really play a big role in Terran Insurrection though.
The Terran Insurrection rewrite has been proceeding well, and it's already way more narratively cohesive than the previous version with plans to explain some plotholes from the original and certain characters such as Mara potentially playing a greater role in the story. It'll also be divided into three acts like last time to focus on different things.
Feel free to leave questions or concerns since I can answer those to clear things up for those that care.

What's Next?
General | Posted 4 years agoDisintegration should be wrapped up in several chapters, so I’m laying out potential plans.
I’m also going to be a bit upfront. The setting surrounding Disintegration was born out of spite, so it’s been a regular source of interpersonal conflict. I currently have no plans on doing more content for the LGM-Verse besides maybe a short story or a lore related post to wrap things up, but that’s about it since my primary goal has been accomplished and I’m generally sick of working on it following the fallout of that.
The next project will involve rewriting an old sci-fi novel of mine. AKA Terran Insurrection. I currently have a 120k word first draft spanning thirty chapters, but I’m likely going to use it as a guideline to rewrite most of it from scratch since I want to re-do certain things. Several stories taking place in the same universe have been posted recently, such as Strange Bedfellows, Persistent Predators, and Welcome To Australia. However, these might be rendered non-canon or they’ll become standalones depending on how much I overhaul alien species designs and some worldbuilding of the setting.
This will be a bit of a departure from the typical content. More precisely, it’ll be in the same vein as SFW and NSFW sci-fi stories such as Booplesnoots and Between Her Coils with aliens around the size of humans. I still plan on doing macro/micro content occasionally, it just won’t be something I exclusively focus on with this account since I have an interest in doing stories with anthros in general rather than just focusing on size differences.
I might also try posting Terran Insurrection on certain websites such as Royal Road while experimenting with other platforms to reach a wider audience, which would include posting some more commissioned artwork to function as digital cover art.
In the far future, there might be a fantasy series focusing on small kobolds and big anthro drakes/dragons…
But that’s about it. There’s more potential to expand upon things if I reach a certain threshold, so for now I’m going to keep things simple with a series being my main focus while doing short stories between chapters for some variety. Business as usual. Regardless, thanks for reading since the support I receive from others keeps me going at times!

500 Watcher Short Story Raffle!
General | Posted 4 years agoPeople are probably used to seeing this kind of message or journal from various artists to celebrate little milestones...
I've seen plenty.
I consider this a little more special since sometimes it can be harder for writers to get attention on this website. Regardless, I'd like to thank people for the support they have given me ever since I started posting on this platform about a year ago! I've never really gone out of my way to individually thank each person that watched me since I know some can find that annoying, but I've always appreciated it. It doesn't really matter if you follow me for the more SFW content or the occasional NSFW story since I tend to dabble in an array of things, for better or worse...
But I'm certain all 500 of you are truly wonderful people.
To celebrate the occasion, one randomly selected watcher of mine will receive a free short story. Just leave a comment below and some nifty software of mine will collect usernames before picking someone in a week or less. The winner and I can discuss the exact details of the story, but the length will be whatever I consider necessary, and I'm willing to do both SFW and NSFW things. However, I reserve the right to reject anything too extreme or anything that I'd otherwise be uncomfortable with doing, but odds are this won't be too much of an issue. If all goes well, I'll post the story to my profile after cobbling together a thumbnail while you do whatever you want with the story from that point!
While I have your attention, I also have a few minor announcements.
Disintegration is close to completion. I've admittedly grown somewhat bored of the setting and I'm going to do new projects afterward, but I'm not necessarily going to abandon it. Current plans revolve around either rewriting an old scifi novel of mine that's about 120k words long or doing more of a macro fantasy setting. The general idea that I have in my mind for a fantasy project is that it would have a similar vibe to stuff such as Spice & Wolf by being more of a gentle slice of life sort of deal following a human merchant and a macro mercenary or warrior of some sort. I like to dabble in both the more wholesome and sadistic side of things regarding macro/micro interactions, but I feel like I've been gradually doing too much cruel stuff recently and I'd rather return to doing more gentle and "vanilla" stories similar to the first ones I posted since I tend to like that more and there's not enough of it!
What really inspired me in that regard is a series called The Seeking by DTF you should consider checking out since he's an excellent writer.
There's also the matter of reddit. People have recently noticed that I decided to delete the account and I felt the need to address that. I had certain frustrations with the platform in the past regarding intellectual property rights and its moderation, plus I was embarrassed by some of my older work. Namely Strange Bedfellows. It was technically the first time I dabbled in a macro/micro romance between a human dude and an alien hydra, which got really fetishy at times when it was supposed to be SFW. It got extensively mocked by others on the subreddit and called cringy. One person even made a parody. I was young and inexperienced at the time, so it hurt my feelings and I deleted the series as a result, much to their delight, and that's why I'm not really comfortable with posting the story beyond the first chapter. You see, I had this idea in my mind that I could try doing something similar to popular media such as Pacific Rim where the size differences between the various characters contributed to the worldbuilding, plot, and storytelling while still being SFW to appeal to a wide audience... but me having a thing for the size differences meant that it got too sexual at times and it got dismissed as softcore porn and fetish material by most.
That's all ironically part of why I made an account here. Consequently, I got more blatant about doing more outright NSFW stories, which caused problems with Disintegration being on reddit since several took place in the same setting. I got insecure about that too because it was potentially weird on behalf by trying to normalize a weird fetish on a mainstream site such as reddit. Plus the whole process of writing the series was taking too long compared to my previous novels with some petty furry drama along the way not necessarily helping matters. It all got to my head at some point, so I considered simply deleting everything and starting over, prompting me to lockdown my FA account for a few days alongside purging my reddit presence before I reverted the FA lockdown several days later.
So, yeah. Sorry about that. I've learned since then that you just need to have thicker skin rather than being sensitive about what other people think since some enjoy trying to tear others down. You're inevitably going to make bad art before you make good art since that's the only way you're gonna get better, plus it's important to listen to constructive criticism during the process.
I think the trashtalk inevitably happens to all artists at some point if they get a good deal of attention. The spotlight falls on you and everything you do is put under a microscope. You might have some saying they love your writing one day while creating fanart and fanfics, then you'll have complete strangers trashtalking your work while mocking the fanart... even though you're minding your own business and not hurting anyone. It can be a crabs in a bucket mentality at worst since I've dealt with similar issues on reddit where more novice or less popular writers attacked me simply because they didn't think my writing deserved the attention it was receiving compared to their own. Hell, I've done it before with popular media such as Twilight and 50 Shades of Gray! Then there's the art thieves. Either way, I think everyone has had issues with this fandom or certain communities at some point, but acknowledging it with journal rants tends to feed into the issue. The artists on this website who do indulge in it regularly tend to come across as immature drama queens to say the least, so forgive me for doing it a bit to explain the situation since I'd rather not commit the same cardinal sin if I don't have to.
I've ultimately decided that I write for fun and myself first and foremost, so I'm not really going to do paid commissions in the future since I'd prefer for this to be an enjoyable passion rather than a job.
A more professional route would potentially entail abandoning this account. The discord community I've built up. Or even dividing my efforts if I went for the option of alt accounts, which admittedly might have been smarter to do in hindsight for SFW and NSFW content respectively. Furry and anthro stuff tends to have a really bad reputation among more professional writing circles for being overly sexual and poor in quality, but I've seen other writers succeed by going more independent routes despite that for those familiar with the HEL Jumper or some of Snekguy's work, both of which get my recommendation for those interested in quality scifi stories from talented writers featuring anthro aliens.
As a result, I might just experiment with alternative platforms such as Royal Road in the future... and I hope that clears things up.
I'd rather not end things on a sour note, so good luck to those participating in the raffle and feel free to share your story ideas regardless of whether you win since I might do multiple!

Pictures moved to scraps & quick questions for watchers
General | Posted 5 years agoThe journal title should be self-explanatory. To avoid confusion, my stories are going to be featured in the main gallery while fanart and commissions will be placed in scraps with artists receiving credit accordingly. Just generally felt wrong if I was receiving credit for the efforts of other people since not everyone was reading the post descriptions or the disclaimer on my profile...
Otherwise, while I have you attention, I'd appreciate it if people who enjoy my stories could answers some questions of mine.
One of my goals is to make my content as easy and pleasant to consume as possible, so this info should be really helpful!
1. Do you usually read stories in the description or do you view the pdf file?
2. Do images embedded into the stories cause you any issues while reading them?
3. Would you prefer alternatives to reading stories, such as hosting stuff on sofurry, reddit, or google docs rather than having it thrown in the story description?
Thanks for reading!

Umok Rework
General | Posted 5 years agoOut of all the LGM-Verse species, I considered the Umok the least visually appealing. So, I recently worked with GasMaskFox to update their appearance and updated the original image accordingly...
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme.....2/GP_UMOK2.png
It's similar to before. However, I figured an appearance similar to a Utah Raptor would look a little more alien alongside fitting into their lore. However, you might notice that the females now have breasts. If we're being honest here, I added them for the sake of personal appeal, but I came up with a justification for it within the universe anyway.
You see, Umok biology is as bizarre as the platypus. They have features we'd consider a blend of avian, reptilian, and mammalian. For example, they lay a clutch of eggs rather than giving live birth, hence their high reproduction rates. However, their hatchlings still need to be nursed afterward, and they're born without beaks for the sake of being able to breastfeed.
Their beaks can ultimately take one of several forms. Although it's a bit genetic, certain contraptions and techniques can determine how the beak forms over time as the Umok matures. Whether it's for more practical purposes or cosmetic appeal is also a pretty solid sign of an Umok's social class and standing.
Lastly, Umok sexual dimorphism is pretty minimal. Males and females look alike with breasts being one of the few solid indicators between the two. Despite this, the genders are regularly confused and part of the complicated Umok courtship process is determining the gender of your potential mate. This dimorphism is also why they tend to be pretty egalitarian with men and women being treated as equals and homosexual relationships being socially acceptable when compared to some of the more matriarchal or patriarchal species.
...And that's all I got for now. I really need to make a lore document or a species dossier at some point.

A Minor Retcon & An Overview of LGM-Verse Lore
General | Posted 5 years agoHey, everyone!
Some of you might remember the descriptions I included with the GasMaskFox commissions for the LGM-Verse species. I changed them slightly. More specifically, I said that some species were part of either a nation called the Hegemony or the Hegemonic Opposition Coalition. They've been renamed to avoid confusion. Although people commonly call it the Hegemony, its official name is the Zenari Hegemony. Meanwhile, an alliance formed in direct response against it is now known as the Solar Atlas Pact, which is also called SAP or the Pact for short.
Unfortunately, I had to turn down a proposal to call it the Titanic Solar Atlas Pact for the sake of a stupid joke.
...And that's the minor retcon.
Otherwise, for those curious, here's a quick and dirty overview of the worldbuilding and lore I have in mind for this universe...
The reason why the LGM species exist is due to an ancient war between two precursor species. One was significantly larger than the other. In response, the smaller ones started dabbling with macro-sized bioweapons and used them in the place of their ground forces and marines, eventually allowing them to win a pyrrhic victory against their titanic enemies. The titanic precursors were allegedly driven into extinction afterward. From there, the victors tried to dispose of their bioweapons since they considered them dangerous... leading to a bioweapon rebellion that destroyed their civilization and nearly drove them into extinction themselves. What remained of the surviving precursors retreated to smaller enclaves scattered across the galaxy before the universe descended into a dark age.
Rising from the ashes, the five bioweapon species proceeded to carve out their own civilizations from the fiery remains. However, there was a big problem. Although the bioweapons inherited a ton of resources and technologies from their creators, they hardly understood how precursor tech worked while depending on it for their survival. It didn't help that tons of precursor knowledge and technologies were lost or destroyed during the various wars, leading to a galaxy filled with precursor ruins, and the subsequent nations reverse engineer ancient relics to advance their tech rather than doing their own research. So, while they might be able to build something along the lines of a battleship, it pales in comparison to a precursor super-dreadnought, which can't be replaced if destroyed because they have no idea how to build one. Tech advancement is also generally stagnant thanks to this with people using a weird blend of new and ancient methods, not to mention plenty of scavenging and smuggling going on.
Over time, two big players came to dominate the galaxy.
The first is the Zenari Hegemony. Zenari traditionally occupied leadership positions while fighting under the precursors. Thanks to this, they consider themselves the rightful heirs of the precursors and destined to rule over the other four species to install order and harmony across the galaxy. Led by an empress thanks to their matriarchal tendencies, they managed to unite themselves. They're somewhat reminiscent of the Roman Empire or the Han Dynasty since they aggressively invade and assimilate others by forcing them to adopt their culture, religion, and values. This includes other species. They were able to successfully take over the heavily divided Umok... doing a mix of annexing their territory or setting up puppet states to provide auxiliaries while other Umok fled in what would become nomadic fleets. With that accomplished, they proceeded to invade the Sthara, who were divided into two nation states based on their specific subspecies. When the Hegemony successfully invaded and annexed one, the other proceeded to form an alliance with the Joraxians in response, leading to the second big player...
The Solar Atlas Pact. Formed in direct response to the Hegemony's aggression, they were able to successfully fend off the Hegemony before a white peace was signed, leading to an awkward position where half of the Sthara were in the Hegemony while the other half were firmly aligned with the Joraxians during the aftermath. Naturally, SAP started seeking allies. The neutral Mactarians were concerned about the Hegemony's aggression, so they created a mutual defense pact with SAP, but they refused to participate in any sort of offensive war. This has led the galaxy to something of a stalemate or cold war. In short, SAP can't go on the offensive without Mactarian help, while the Hegemony isn't willing to invade since the Mactarians joining SAP could lead to them getting overwhelmed, the Sthara being liberated, and the destruction of the Hegemony... however, SAP would likely dissolve afterward since its members alongside the Mactarians are frequently at odds with each other and only a mutual threat is keeping them united.
So, the only winning move is not to play. Both sides bide their time and try to gather other allies, such as the various independent and isolationist precursor enclaves ranging anywhere from Switzerland to North Korea regarding their disposition towards the rest of the galaxy. Things do start to shake up a bit once the Hegemony invades a planet within a border region the locals call Earth, however...
There's some more plans from there, but that's the background info for the setting and I'm keeping some things secret for now. Feel free to ask questions if you're curious. I might make a lore document or something once Disintegration is done, but no promises!

You can now view the LGM species in Macrovision!
General | Posted 5 years agoFor those that aren't aware of it, there's a program by chemicalcrux called Macrovision. Click here to check it out. Basically, you can view macro characters within it to compare sizes and whatnot, and it was useful to me when designing the LGM-Verse species. Getting contacted to have them added was a pleasant surprise, to say the least. Here's an example of some comparisons you can do with it!
There's also been some minor tweaks for two species of the five macro species.
Umok now have full-blown beaks rather than the weird partial ones I originally went for.
Meanwhile, Joraxians have two horns and digitigrade feet.
Otherwise, species design should be set in stone at this point and the current stories won't contradict these small changes.
