Life update. CW for heavy topic (suicide)
Posted 2 months agoA lot of people already know what has happened. I’ve discussed it in length in my discord server and have mentioned it briefly on my Twitter. But, I want to take some time to talk about it here since I’ve been neglecting FA for months now.
My SO of 13 years broke up with me at the start of May. This was something he wanted to do since September, so the sudden move, I assume, was part of that. I had no idea. He grew distant, ignored/cancelled my calls and I assumed he was just stressed, which in some cases he probably was. I guess I didn’t really start to suspect something until he stopped telling me that he loved me.
I won’t go any further into details about it, though. My friends know the extent of what happened and how I was treated, but out of respect to him I won’t divulge any further here. I still want him to be supported, however. That’s all I wanted was for him to succeed.
Things were going ok for a bit and we were talking normally after, but I just started noticing how much he had tried to distance himself from me. Softblocks on social media to force me to unfollow him, removing me as his friend on Steam, etc. And it just… hurt so much. I tried very hard to keep it together, but I’m in a new state, with hardly any friends, and I was essentially abandoned.
I’ve always had issues with my mental health. I’m on medication for it, but it all became too much. I tried taking my life early June because I couldn’t take it anymore. But, zhul was with me on the phone for three hours, listening and talking to me to make sure I stayed with him. I’ve been trying to cope with it since. There was a moment where I thought I was going, and I’m not sure what was scarier: the fact I thought I was dying or that I was ok with it.
I know this is all super heavy and that some people don’t really want to hear about it, but I just want to be transparent. I think that helps me in the long run, and I’ve always been the type of person to try to keep my fanbase and friends in the know when major things in my life happen. Also, just in general, mental health is something that I think should be discussed more. It’s uncomfortable to see friends or family or people you know that are struggling. I know from personal experience, not knowing what to do myself when someone I know is spiraling. But, it’s part of life.
I know I’m not perfect. I have issues that contributed to the breakup. But, I guess moving forward, I’m going to try and do my best which is all I can do. I may not be Christian anymore, but the values I was taught stuck with me. Do unto others, is the main one. I try to treat others in the same way that I wish I was treated. And sometimes, it’s not much, but it’s all I can do.
In the end, I’m still here. I hit the absolute bottom, so all I can do is crawl back up. It’s going to be slow, but I’m going to try.

Recovering
Posted 3 months agoA lot happened this week. I won't go into it in depth, but all I'll say is I reached my lowest point. I'm happy that zhul was there for me, but I'm kind of taking time to decompress and self reflect. I'll probably talk about it a bit more in the future, but for now I just have to keep going.
Getting back on track

Our first Uhaul was crashed due to someone turning into my dad's lane and him needing to swerve to miss. We did manage to get a replacement and moved to MO without any issue. Things are just a struggle to set up the new place due to me needing to get rid of a lot of my furniture due to lack of room.
I really want to work but the house being in the state it's in really fucks with my anxiety. After living fairly comfortably for years, being forced into a situation where I have no order and I'm pretty much on my own for who knows how long has been somewhat of a toll mentally. I'm trying to juggle organinzing/unpacking and working at the same time, but it's legitimately hard. I'm also in the hole about 1600$ for the move alone. My SO was going to cover it but Uhaul wouldn't accept a credit card payment over the phone so I had to pay for it myself. I honestly don't even know if I'm going to be paid back for that.

Moving suddenly, need help
Posted 9 months agoOk, I know I’ve been horribly annoying lately with asking for help, but I have such a large queue and honestly just want to keep people updated on what’s going on.

>Plans changed, dad got a rental to get back to Texas but he couldn’t cover my gas to get back
>Had to ask for help just to get back to TX (and I got help which I appreciate so much I can’t even describe 🥺💖)
>Arrive home in TX and my bf tells me that we need to move and our lease is up at the end of Jan 2025.
>We need to live separately because financial issues came up on my BF’s end (student loan related, won’t go into further details unless he wants to say himself) and he needs to live with his family until that’s sorted out
>He moves out next week
>Scrambling to find a place. I was looking in FL to be close to friends and family but it’s out of budget for me.
>Fall back on MO because I have family there and it’s my home state.
>Currently undergoing the process of securing a place
>Need to move on my own and going to try and fly my best friend to TX to help me because I really want someone to help so I’m not just… swamped with unpacking my piles of shit
>Queue is still massive, I hate that I have to delay it. Going to try to juggle it AND packing at the same time

Concussion - Slow updates
Posted a year agoI ended up passing out the other night and hit my head on the bathroom floor and gave myself a concussion. I feel super dumb that I did but I guess these things happen.
I can't do Uber for about a week while I recover so I can't make money. I'm opening more comms through my patron server first before I announce any more publicly. I'm also being urged to see a doctor but I don't have the funds to do so. Given I'm due for my yearly, I wouldn't mind trying to see them sometime this week, but I admittedly need help.

Updates and such
Posted 2 years agoSo, it's been a while. I touched up a bit on my FA page after god knows how long, but there were things that def needed updating.
The commission tab has been updated to my current prices as well as the things I tend to work on as of late (not really accepting for flat color commissions anymore, the colored sketches have kinda replaced that and I'm not doing comics anymore either.)
There are more things that need to be added, admittedly, but that'll come with time.
That said...
Twitter has become unusable for conducting business. I hardly get notifications anymore and I don't want people thinking I'm ignoring them when I'm not trying to. It's literally twitter just being a trash site. It's just another gallery for me at this time. I also have a Bluesky, which I'm treating as another gallery as well (same name as here).
As far as FA goes, I hardly use this site as much as I used to. I literally have 1k+ watchers I wanted to go through to find people to follow back but I just don't have the time and notes that I haven't been able to check since last year. I can't do business through it at the moment just due to being swamped. I'd disable the note function, but I still use it for selling adoptables for the time being.
Most of my work is done through discord, with Subscribestar and Patreon patrons getting first access to commission openings. However, my commissions are going to be pretty sparse for a while with small openings here and there. I had to open a massive queue not too long ago to finish paying off my taxes so most of my time is dedicated to that.
Regardless, Discord is still the best way to contact me.

Just wanting to put a quick update up to folks since things have been super hectic and not a lot has been put out. It’s a lot of text so I’ll add a tl;dr at the end.
Over the weekend I got my new car. Unfortunately, what was delivered was not what I was expecting. There’s some mechanical issues that need to be fixed before I can pass TX inspection. On top of that, the interior is disgusting and I’m honestly more distressed by that than the mechanical stuff. I’m under some pressure to get this thing up and running as quick as I can so that we can have a second vehicle and I can alleviate pressure from my BF since he’s been my chauffeur for over a year now.
Secondly, I’ve been dealing with the weight loss thing which has come to a halt because dieting is hard and I have no idea what to eat because my body is stupid and my weight has been yo-yoing for years. I have an appointment scheduled with a dietician to get a meal plan together, but that’s gonna be about 120$ a week for 6 months. But, that route is covered. Just body image issues really fuck with my mood and I have a lot of depression surrounding my appearance lmao. And the depresso is not very good for work output.
Anxiety medication situation was fixed pretty quickly, but that kinda messed up my schedule. Hand pain is still unfortunately a thing and I just can’t take a break because I know a lot of you are waiting for art and I do appreciate your patience, I’ve just been super slow and lagging behind. On top of that, I do have Doxy/Onta work I have been given (a lot of it) among other projects and holy poop am I overwhelmed lmao
So, I’m honestly doing my best. I’m still doing what I can to try and get everything done and I am honestly so very sorry to people who are still waiting in my current queue because I’m usually not this slow with things. Life is just… yea. It’s been a thing and I’m doing what I can lol.

Sketch commissions (Starting at 45$)
Posted 4 years agoAlright, since I need to kinda clean out the original form, I've made a new form for just sketches.
If you submitted a form the last time for a sketch and still would like to get that idea, please send me a DM.
Every initial response recorded a few months ago will be kept for now. I will not be cleaning them out like I usually do. *If you submitted a form a few months ago and no longer want that idea, please let me know so I can remove it!*
A few things this go around:
• I will not be accepting armored pieces or images with backgrounds
• I've been in a pokemon mood, so for those interested, I am willing to add colors to just pokemon themed pieces for an extra 45$.
• I still have a bit of a hefty queue and will be working on these as fast I can. They may be completed in a week to two at most, depending on complexity. Single character images are preferred because of that.
The form will officially close on Sunday at 5pm CST. I will be contacting people either that evening or the next day.

Posted 5 years agoIt's that time again where I'm putting together packs of my art. I have a few currently in the works, which are from 2015-2016, 2017-2018, and 2019-2020. These art packs generally have most of my work, including personal stuff, commissions, sketches, finished stuff, WIPs, etc.
As a courtesy, I am asking past customers if there are any pieces that they do not want to be shared or sold in these art packs.

But, done for the night. I probably won't be able to continue my uploading until next weekend cause of my work schedule(that and I have a few more things I need to do outside of uploads...)
I will point out that Twitter and Discord are a lot quicker to get updates on art.

Discord has been the best place to reach me. I've been doing most of my commissions through there, which is why I've been so inactive on FA.
My server is chill, we share porn and shitposts and it's the best place to keep up with content posted by me. I will get back to uploading to FA, I've just grown tired of doing any more than dragging and dropping an image into a window and clicking 'post' lmao.
