Covid! Commission update
Posted 2 years agoHey all, wanted to offer an update as I’ve been quiet and work on commissions has slowed. The fam and I finally came down with Covid, and while everyone handled it like a champ it’s been a weird recovery. Climbing the mountain and getting back to things, I appreciate the patience, feel free to reach out.
Life updates! (Baby, BLFC, Beyond~)
Posted 3 years agoWell, it’s been a minute here so let me try and grab a quick second to myself and lay out how things have been going in Castle De la Rev.
I guess it’s no surprise to ye all that our new addition really upended life as we knew it. Zing has been…well it’s absolutely wonderful being his dad. I know that I got the ‘easy’ part with my wife doing the heavy lifting (and delivering, and feeding, and pumping) and I’ve been doing my best to balance the seesaw and be the partner she knew she was getting when she married me. My work unfortunately canceled the Work from Home order that we had in place for two years, and the return to the office has been stressful and added duress to a process we were just getting our paws around. This has led to some discussions of Zel finally taking a job befitting of her Masters degree and her expertise, with the resultant money being enough to cover me being a stay at home dad and bolstering our funds via commissions and the such. I know that this is ‘the dream’ and if it happens, I’m all for it. A part of me is incredibly nervous however, and anxious because I don’t want to retread the steps of my deadbeat dad. A little dramatic, but the concern is there. We’ll see how it all shakes out very soon here.
As for Zing himself…my god. Every day is a new experience, a new expression, a new sound he’s figured out how to make. He actually shows interest in cartoons and books now, and yes, he seems to enjoy the jelly bean dog show. He loves music and gets big mad during guitar solos, since he prefers to hear me sing. So far his favorite songs are ‘Do you wanna taste it’ by Wigwam, ‘gimme gimme gimme’ by Abba and the Bluey theme played on my ocarina. He’s just so happy and seems like he knows he’s safe and cared for, and it’s cliche, but I would do absolutely anything for this family I’ve made. I love them both with everything and…there’s just not much more to say. I’ll put it in words via my art. ^^

Zel and I will be attending this year, and while we won’t be staying at the GSR (we live down the street) we should be around in the Zoo area or browsing the Dealer’s den. Someday I’ll get into that artist alley but this year…haha, things came up.
I am eminently approachable at con! If you see me or want to swing by and say hi, feel free to message me. I love trading art tips or just interacting with the folk of the community. Timing being what it is, I won’t be able to offer badge commissions before this weekend, but I may offer some ‘pick up at the con’ sketch commissions or the like. Not sure! Running on baby time now.
As before and so often, thank you all for the support and love you’ve shown me and mine over the years. This community houses about 75 percent of my friends / social interactions (the other 25 percent are renaissance buddies) and I’m so happy to have you.

Smol Life Update / Hi, I'm Reva (Rev-Ah)
Posted 4 years agoSo I don't really get too much time to be as talkative on this platform as I used to be; I look back through my gallery at times and it almost looks like I was narrating my life with the crop of pictures I was putting out. I can almost tell what life event preceded a style change, it's a bit wild that I've been doing this long enough to have those recognizable...epochs. If you're worried I'm about to change something drastic with the tenor of this journal, don't worry, this isn't one of those.
I just wanted to touch base, I guess. I was lamenting to a friend that there are a good many people I interact with in the community that I have no idea of the person behind 'the mask'. I'm sure a lot of people want it just that way, but I figured, with minor differences here and there, my character is me. So with that said, hi, I'm Reva.
I go by Reva the Scarf because I am a member of the Society for the Creation of Art Revolution and Fun, a global organization bent on world domination. I go by Reva because it was my Granduncle's name, (which I always thought was cool) and it anagrams to Raev, which means fox. Also, i drove a Versa, which anagrams to 'Reva's' so there is that. I used to be a bounty hunter, then an EMT in a casino, then emergency dispatch for a number of agencies, and now I have a boring job moving freight around the globe for more money then everything else I used to do. I don't like it, but it's easy and I pray to that almighty dollah dollah bill.
My hobbies used to include writing stories, but I sacrificed that and two monster cards for the ability to draw. Now that I've been drawing for 14 odd years, I finally tried to summon my writing ability from the graveyard with mixed results. I come up with a lot of ideas, but very rarely do those get seen to fruition. If you see me running by chasing my butterflies, just shed a tear for me and go on about your business. It's too late for me. I also really really like to sword fight, and despite my placid nature, I really will fight anyone anywhere. I just like fighting.
After dating seven evil exes, Knives, AND Ramona, I've since grown and matured and settled down with a hedgehog, despite having a paralyzing fear of needles, also despite having been a medic and needing to use those from time to time. She is my perfect compliment, the hedgehog to my fox, and the life I've had with her these past six years is almost everything I could have asked for. So of course, one Portland trip later, and I have EVERYTHING I could have asked for, as my wife is currently 5 months pregnant with our son. We are both terribly excited for this new chapter of our lives while also completely consumed with the thought of 'what will their fursona be'. Ok, my wife is less concerned about that then I am, but anyway.
So that's generally me, in a nutshell. I draw little furs and babyfurs and pokemon and plan out a ton of comics with each. I got into furry stuff by way of transformation myths, greek legends, then the transformation story archive, and so on so forth. When I get to your batch in the queue, I need a little info down below!
1. Any ref files you might have. If you don’t have a ref for one age or the other, please let me know what (if any) are the main differences between you two. This includes hairstyle, coloring, such and so forth.
2. Outfits for both ages. If you can’t think of anything, don’t worry, but the more you provide me the better things will turn out. Feel free to grab some refs from a department store catalog or what have you. Just remember these portraits are from the waist up so plan accordingly!

RejuVacations Badge Queue

Hey everyone (commission update)
Posted 6 years agoHey guys, I just wanted to provide an update on things because I know I've slowed way down and there are still the last few sketches and adjustments to finish up. I apologize profusely for the delays; when I took them I thought I would have a lot more time before the various things that were coming up, and then suddenly, we're here in the middle of August. There is still a lot ahead, but for two weeks at least, there is some downtime and I promise to finish up what I've got on my plate. I very much appreciate the patience shown by those that watch and commission me, time is my greatest adversary and they've been getting the best of me lately.
I will be opening for some sort of NFL football related YCH for the season opener, even though my focus in my non commission time will continue to be RejuVacations. I'm always glad to talk hand egg with the watchers that follow such things, so I won't be missing that. Do any of you have any suggestions, things you'd like to see for a football YCH? I'm open to suggestions, I've been doing them for a while now and I don't want to get stale.

If you want to be afflicted, I have a discount on my usual prices for sketch commissions. If you want a commission of you as a fennec, or have a fennec character, it's $30 for a full body, non shaded sketch commission. All other requests for the month are $40. Additional characters are $20, regardless of which type. If you want one, note me, and I'll add you to the queue!

Posted 7 years agoSo, quick question to you guys, I’d like to do another pair YCH but have too many ideas to narrow it down. What would you guys like to see? Something in depth, like the adoptive mommies pic, or something as simple as ‘oh gawd, they got you too.’ sorta AR. Let me know below and I’ll try to have something up by tonight!

Posted 7 years agoJust wanted to say thank you to those who replied to the last journal (and the older one, nine months ago) with suggestions for the teams. I've updated the list with a few shout outs, I know I didn't quite get everyone in there. It's still not set in stone, we'll see how it plays out, but all in all, I'm glad to have gotten so much interaction!

Posted 7 years agoHey ever body, my beautiful hedgewife’s birthday is in a week and I’m taking sketch commissions to raise some money to get her a Nintendo Switch. As she watches this account, I guess the cats out of the bag per se, (at least about this) but we had a lot of fun playing Baby Mario Kart at Colossalcon, so it’s not a TOTAL surprise.
Anywhoo, in light of that, I’m offering full body, flat colored sketches for $35. Adult or little, any species, has to be Nintendo themed though. May be a little extra for complicated fursonas. Depending on the volume of response, I’ll be offering shading for an additional $15, but let me see how the queue fills and I’ll let everyone know. If that’s something you might want just indicate in the note you’d like some shading if it comes available.
So if you want one, note me here with your character, your Nintendo inspiration, age, and any references you might have.
