Why hello FA! It sure has been a while since I created a journal here, hasn't it?

Anyway, I'm going to keep this brief, because I have a lot of uploading to do. Why? Because:
1) I barely post here as it is, and I want to change that.
and
2) I'm preparing for the eventuality where I'm forced to leave my main art/writing site. You know the one.
And when I say "forced to leave," I don't mean I'm getting banned for any unforeseeable reason. What I mean is, the management of THAT site has gone to crap (including perceived attempts to muscle writers off the site) and I don't see it getting any better. And I don't think any of my friends there do, either, so I'm amping myself up to start making this and Twitter my main social medias/art posting sites.

I'll be starting with the reference sheets for my characters, and then move on to my more recent writings.

Anyway, get ready to see your inboxes explode with my crap! Just... not in that way. I have to remember what site this is, after all!

ANYWAY, it dawned on me a long time ago that I barely post here, and watch even less people here than I do on dA. Which I really didn't think was possible, but I digress. So my question for anyone who wants to read this is what do you want to see from me? Assorted poetry and stories? More voice acting? Kindergarten scribbles? I can't draw, so I can only post so much, haha.

But I have a second request from you: give me some artists you think are worth watching and point me in their direction! No promises that I will end up watching them or comment regularly, but my inbox can be barren for days on end after I clear it out, and I want to see something new.

That's about it! I keep life updates for dA and Discord, and believe me, I have more than a few. x.x

Time for a bedtime story.

Once upon a time, there were two artists of the anthro variety. Starting out, they were both fine artists with boundless potential. They both had comics, one pretty and colorful, the other sketchy but with a good concept.

Over time, they both acquired more and more followers, and eventually opened commissions. The first artist's prices were fair and more than reasonable. The second artist's were… not as much.

After more time, the second artist opened NSFW commissions, while the first artist only just began playing around with personal NSFW art and was not as open to the idea. And seeing the money that could be made from NSFW art, the second artist capitalized.

Eventually, the two artists had their own Patreons. For the first artist, support came quickly and they had much to show for their supporters. They proved themselves to be more than reliable as an artist, and deserve further support.


Meanwhile, the second artist opened more commissions despite having a queue of 14 other unfinished ones, and Patreon rewards that were never started.


This second artist is not worth your time, has become a "popfur," and is one unsatisfied customer from an Artists Beware entry. Rightfully, their Patrons are leaving and their followers are catching on.

The first artist, the one that deserves your support and is worthy of your attention and money is  AlfaFilly. The other… will remain anonymous for now.

The moral of your story is: Karma is real and will treat you well if you treat others well. If you don't, Karma will ruin you. But either takes time, so make sure you make the right choices.

SO. Long time, no update once again, eh, FA?

As all of three people on dA have noticed, I passed NaNoWriMo 2017! But the story of Sepia and Tixtapa remains unfinished, and will stay that way until Franklin has his own time in the spotlight. I've put his story off for so long, but it WILL come this year in one way or another.

However, Faded and Fated will not be coming to FA in the meantime, as I want to finish and do some serious revisions to it before then. The only reason it went to dA was because I wanted to post daily updates for some weird reason. Was it excitement? Pride? The desire to actually post things to dA despite the majority of people I know can't read anything longer than 280 characters? I really don't know, but I had a blast writing it regardless, haha.

Also, my other account has been disabled because reasons. This account will remain entirely SFW save for the occasional horror story or trasngressive piece of work, though. So get your porn elsewhere, I suppose! =P

So I figured I'd give some updates on FA as well, since it's been more than three months, haha.

As you've noticed, The Ghastly Menace went unfinished thanks to personal issues and judge duties for SDF (long story). So I'm two for four on NaNo victories. But hey, I uploaded Marci's kinda-sorta-maybe Christmas Carol, so that's something.

As I've stated many, all too many times in the past, Franklin's War is coming sooner than later. But I mean it this time; this project with Steampunk insects is going to happen this year, but I can't promise at what point. But four short prequel stories called Franklin's Pre-war Dreams are being worked on as we speak.

Further down the road in November, expect to see Faded and Fated, a charming and harrowing story of a young man, and young woman, and a sociopathic tyrant who wants to become a god. Also, trees of unfathomable power in a Medieval role-playing fantasy world. Because nonsense mythology is fun. 8D

But there was something else I've been meaning to upload to FA: Undertale voice acting snippets. I already have a few scenes and characters that I think would be fun, and I'd like to hear input from y'all about whether or not you'd like to do some VAing together. Let me know what you think!

Ho-ly CRAP, it's been a while, hasn't it?

So much has happened since I last posted here. In fact, too much to list. So I'm not even going to bother rattling on about the good, bad, and intolerable that's been going on since then, and focus on the future. Because sometimes it's all you can do, you know?

As you've noticed, this is a very inactive account, but come this November I'm going to try to fix that with a little ditty called The Ghastly Menace. For the few out there familiar with my little fussy pants Becky, this year's NaNoWriMo will reveal her canon story in all it's gritty, weed resin-stained detail. But the basic version is that she and a few other toons get canned from their jobs as actors because the studio owner is a fat, furry asshat, so they turn to a life of crime. Also, this will be the only place to read it. So if rambling messes about funny animals is your thing, then stay tuned!

As far as other submissions go, I can't really make many promises beyond that and an alien furry version of A Christmas Carol starring my fox-faced dictator, Countess Marciannah. But as for activity, I'll try to comment more and fave more and do more in general.

So now I cry into the darkness of FA, but will anyone come to listen?

…I really need to start submitting stuff here. Or rather, submitting stuff in general. The problem seems to be that I have ideas and a fair amount of drive to do them, but when I try to put them into words, everything falls apart. Does anyone else have this problem? And if you do, how do you cope with it?

For example, the story that's in its brainstorming stages right now, Franklin's War. In a nutshell, it a satire/comedy/thing about a praying mantis from South Hampton in a world of Steampunk insects, and he longs to start a war with America. Cuss yea
Now why do I bring up the life of a bug that's not entirely mentally well? Because this is going to be the place to see it~ I won't be putting this one on dA (maybe), so this will be where it will be posted and maybe read.

Also, I've fallen out of the groove of writing as of late, so I'm going to need some serious critique to help me out. Any takers? ="D

In a few scant hours, Camp NaNoWriMo for July 2014 will begin. In case you don't already know or haven't told you, I'm doing the cannon for my characters of Amadeus and Dorian: Choke Sermon.
Here's the premise:
In the pages of an alien comic book called Choke Sermon, there lies a world of vampires, shapeshifters, psychics, and immortals living amongst normal people in relative peace. But it's an uneasy one, and one that comes at a price for the so-called "Otherones". Within the made-up world, a boy named Amadeus Cristobel learns to cope with life as a vampire under the registration and mandate of the government. Adam knew from the moment he could read that things were going to be hard for him. But he could never imagine how much so until a handicapped transfer student, a telekinetic delinquent, and a paranoid detective entered his life.

Oh, look; more of these. Oh, look; Aspen's actually living up to an obligation for once.

This edition is a day late because of Christmas, and I didn't feel like using FA at my grandparent's place.

But I digress. With no more interruptions, here's this weeks Maelstronia factoids. This time, it's related to the various holidays celebrated in the Alliance.

1) There are two holidays that are celebrated throughout the three planets in the Alliance: those being the Alliance New Year and Union Day.
1a) The Alliance New Year is celebrated every Maelstronain Standard Year (approximately 1.1 Maelstronian years, 1.2 Demosacan years, or .83 Syrinonian years). The very complicated system is determined by the average amount of months of the three combined planets (32) divided by three.
1b) Union Day marks the formation of the Alliance, and is always celebrated on the same day at midnight of 8/28 on Maelstronia's calendar. Maelstronia has ten months on their calendar, but more on that next week.

2) Demosac is the only planet in the Alliance to celebrate a Halloween-like holiday. Called Amu Roel (Shadow Night), it is a night when people across the planet dress up in scary costumes, tell stories, and celebrate all things dark and macabre.

3) Although there's no true Alliance parallel to Christmas, Syrinon has a holiday called Haest Teir (AKA Warmth Day). It marks the winter solstice, and is an occasion for friends and family to get together and exchange gifts, have bonfires, and be friendly and charitable.

So since I never use FA hardly, I've decided to use this journal for relevant things. No, not life updates or the like; that's what deviantART is for, silly~
Instead, I'm going to devote this journal to answering questions about my brainworld: the Maelstronian Alliance. I'll try to do three little tidbits every week, but as with everything, I make few promises.

So let's get this maglev train a-rollin', shall we?

1) Counting variations on desoakians, there are 13 "true" races in the Maelstronian Alliance: Demosac has warnonians (kitsune), sicavinons (toad-irken-dilophosaurus things), and hinopians (serval-like bobcats), Maelstronia has vucisians (wolves and foxes), enteinians (horses), sauranytins (crocodilians), auronians (cardinals and hawks, markanicans (raccoons), and three types of desoakians (lagomorphs, rodents, and mustela/marmots), and Syrinon has seafjers and serauffs (hares and wolves with iguana tails respectively). As the kahmerians (gorilla-wolf things) are an "immigrant race" they do not count in the official census.

2) When it comes to cross-breeding, the compatibility is as follows: (* = can have children with)
Warnonians * hinopians vucisians, markanicans, and syafiers.
Hinopians * marknicans, desoakians, and serauffs.
Vucisians * warnnoians, hinopians, markanicans, and syrafjers.
Markanicans * warnonians, hinopians, vucisians, desoakians (lagomorph and mustela-type only), and syrafjers.
Desoakans (lagomorph) * hinopians, markanicans, and serauffs.
Desoakians (marmots) * hinopians, markanicans.
Serafjers * warnonians, vucisians, and markanicans.
Serauffs * hinopians and desoakians (lagomorph-type only).

2a) Sicavinons, auronians, enteinians, rodent-type desoakians, and sauranytins can only successfully mate with their own race.

3) To refer to someone in the alliance as thier lesser animal counterpart (that is, a markanican as a raccoon, a warnonian as a fox, an enteinian as a horse, etc.) that is considered a pretty nasty racial slur. People there take great offense when they're compared to their "lesser species counterpart" as they're referred to. For example, calling Marciannah a fox is like calling a human a monkey, but they take offense to it like someone would to the "N" word; you don't want to know what happens after that.

But seriously, I'm looking for advice and opinions this time around. I've been in a bit of a writing slump since the end of November (my mood may have something to do with that, but who knows?) and I seriously need to get out of it.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get back into the groove of writing or art in general? I'm open to pretty much any suggestion here, because it's been forever since I've written something. Or, it feels that way.

Also, what's a good way to manage anger? As you may have seen on my dA journal, I've been having major anger management issues, so any serious help in this area would be appreciated. I mean, when you feel you have to write a several hundred word apology letter to one of your friends because of how you talk to them, something is wrong. Or how about telling 70 year old ladies that you'll rip their heart out with a fork for telling you to smile?

But enough emo BS, how was everyone's Christmas season? I spent mine sick for the 25th and most of the 26th, so… that happened. >> But I did get a bunch of books, music, and essentials likes socks and boxers, pff.

Anyway, that took me long enough to update on here. Three months between journals; I think that's a new personal record! But I digress; everyone have a safe and Happy New Year. Let's all hope 2013 will go a lot better than this one.

Ahh, there we go. Long time, no activity, FA! I can't believe this is my first journal on this site, and believe it or not, my whiny moping and bitching I'll save for dA! 8D Splendid.

Anyway, this will more or less be an art-related journal-thing, with maybe some personal stuff here and there. Maybe. Probably nothing you won't see on my dA page, but whatever. XD Anyway, how is everyone?

For my fellow writers, NaNoWriMo is quickly approaching, and I for one am pretty anxious already. Who all will be making the grand commitment of lunacy this year alongside me? If anyone, tell me: what's your NaNo going to be about? I'll show you mine if you show me yours. ;3
But that does remind me: should I post my parts here, just excerpts, not bother at all, or eat a bag of nails? Your call, comrades. I more than likely won't be posting them on dA. I may upload little snippets and such, but the chances of that are pretty slim.
