I seem to have gotten livestream to work for me finally so I'm planning on doing a few freebie stream/drink n' draw sessions sometime soon once I get the kinks worked out. Keep an eye out! :3 They will start sometime between 10pm-12mid est depending on my work schedule.

So I have been gone for a few weeks! Woops! My computer died and then came back to life and was weird, then  goat brought me a replacement that's awesome so now digital stuff is WAY easier and I can finally play some games, then I got pretty depressed about my job, got fed up, found a new one and quit! haha It's been a weird few weeks suffice it to say. :0

YEAH So I hope everyone had a good holiday and New Year's.

A couple weeks ago Gin and I caught Captain Trips and lived to tell about it. The house was the messiest it's EVER been so I've really been committing to my New Year's resolution to keep it cleaner by doing a little cleaning each day instead of getting to the weekend and being all GOD THERE'S TOO MUCH SHIT TO DO I'LL DO IT LATER. So I've been doing *really* good at that but not so good at my other New Year's resolution to keep my art going more regularly. I just need to get myself to a nice middle ground! :D

I WILL NOT BE A LAZY BUTT.

Hey local people! We are planning on another get together at the end of February!!! Right now we're aiming toward Feb 25 and it will most likely be a pot luck thing this time! When the weather's warmer we can do cook outs. ;D Anyway more on that as soon as we figure it out.

Weeeeeeell, it's been a time here lately. I really haven't been online much at all except for fb. The past few days have been brutal; our washing machine broke, I broke my toe, Gin broke his computer chair (is it really broken? or just a stool now?), some work things aren't going well (my boss is drinking at work for one :I), and I have NOT been very artistically motiviated lately. When I'm not working on stuff it gets me down to be on art sites so I avoid them. I took a half personal day today to try and calm my ass down since I was getting VERY frustrated and mad at LYFE. I'm feeling much better and am going to push to finish some things up. :) As it stands I have about a dozen pieces (mostly SEXY PIECES) that I started but haven't finished. OK I'LL GET ON IT NOW

What was your favorite food as a kid?

What was the first food you learned how to cook from a package?
ChefBoyarDee. I remember trying to cook condensed soup one time and I microwaved the blob without knowing I had to add water and it was super gross.

What was the first food you learned how to cook from scratch?
Spaghetti if "from scratch" can mean Ragu and dried pasta.

How did you discover that you had a "passion" for cooking?
Woah woah... passion? No, cooking and I are just friends thanks.

What do you remember about cooking and food from your childhood?
Don't let mom cook. Thanksgivings were always these fantastic affairs with everything magically getting finished at the exact same time somehow.

What are your favorite foods?
Fruits and veggies. Veggie sushi bonus points if its tempura's too. Terryaki tofu with veggies and steamed rice. Anything made with Daiya cheese but it's fatty and expensive so I try not to eat it too much.

What foods do you dislike?
meat, and it's not even that I dislike it- I just don't eat it. I don't really like okra but I'll eat it if I get in the mood for it. There's not a lot that I don't like lol.

What food is a guilty pleasure for you?
POTATO CHIPS. I love them. I can't buy them because I will seriously eat nearly the whole bag in one sitting. Especially kettle cooked bbq. fuck yeah.

Do you have any food allergies?
no

Are you omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, etc? Why?
I was omnnivore for most of my life; became vegan about three years ago; started eating fresh eggs from some family friends about a year ago (these are the only eggs I eat), and I've just started eating local seafood. So I guess that makes me a pescetarian though I still eat a mostly vegan diet. I'm more flexible when I go out as eating vegan out is hard. I do the best that I can in that I'm not going to have a throwdown with the staff if my veggie burger has eggs in it. Just leave off the cheese, mayo, and butter please. I don't like factory farming. I'm ok with eating the eggs since I know how the chickens are kept and raised. My main issue with dropping seafood in the first place was the environmental effects rather than moral issues. Since I live on the coast I decided to introduce local stuff back into my diet and I'd like to take up fishing so I can have an even more personal influence on my diet. If I ever decided to eat meat again, it would only be from local producers and I'd only eat it every now and then but that's not on my radar at the moment.

no meat, dairy, and no eggs unless we've got the farm eggs

Have you had any official schooling in culinary arts? If not, do you intend to go?
nah. culinary school for a v*gan sounds like a nightmare. I just enjoy cooking as a hobby anyway.

no

Favorite food to make?
I really like making a variety of finger foods or "tapas" style menus for parties. That's a lot of fun. I like thinking of what would go well with everything else and thought it's stressful I usually manage to get everything ready at about the same time. :)

What ingredients do you use most often? Or, what could you never imagine cooking without?
ONION. I put, like, half an onion in everything. Big sweet Georgia onions. hooyeah.

What kind of knives do you use? What's your preferred knife (style, length, etc.)?
Some cheap knife set we got from Target. Whichever one is clean.

What would you like to learn how to cook?
I don't know. If I want to learn how to cook something I usually just look it up. I guess it'd be cool to have a better understanding of the science of baking so I could make my own recipes.

What's your favorite restaurant? What do you order?
Kanpai for their fucking awesome tempura asparagus rolls. Also Moe's for the tofu burritos.

Do you like TV chefs? Who's your favorite personality/show?
ALTON BROWN. omg I love him. I like Ramsey too but I wouldn't want to meet him. He's scary.

What advice would you give to someone who's just starting out learning how to cook?
I hate when people say they "can't cook". Seriously, if you're fucking it up it's because you've got the heat up too high or you're not paying attention or both. Cooking is not that hard! Just pay attention to what you're doing and double check your burners. lol

For the first time, like, ever I actually have a commission queue with SOME PEOPLE in it! lol It's not much but it feels good! :D I'll be getting another finished up tonight and I've got 2 more to work on this weekend.
