Just curious, has anyone noticed dropped watches? There's been several times where I was pretty sure I was watching someone but when I went to their main page the +Watch button was there. I haven't heard of anybody else having this problem and I'm not totally sure exactly how many times it's happened to me since a few times I may have been mistaken about already having been watching the artist. However there's been at least twice now where I KNOW I was watching them...

Fistly Nerdamathingy was super fun. I saw some bands that I've never heard of and some that I have heard of and I liked most of them. I almost broke my toe and spent more time than most normal people would trying to take an accurate picture of the bruising with my cell phone that showed the colors off to post on fb. We couldn't buy as much stuff as we wanted to but we can buy their cd's later and we found out that The Protomen are going to be in Savannah this weekend! So we'll buy their stuff then. c:

well OBVIOUSLY I haven't been posting IA stuff. ;A; Sorry guys I'm kinda finding it hard to find time for it. :< Between work, exercise, running a household, and trying to earn some extra side money to replace my computer I'm runnin' on empty. Having said that, what I've done so far has done just what I needed it to do: I am feeling much more creative and confident with my art stuffs! I'd like to thank everyone who's participated so far. :D

SO! Instead of doing these in a 2 week interval, they will be on an announcement bases from now on. This will give me time to work on them without feeling so stressed out, rushed, and worried like I have been! To those that have been waiting from the last round, thank you for being patient. :D

In other news: I finally have my own laminator ( is the awesome lady who let me borrow hers!) so badges will be laminated and get a badge clip from now on. All that and shipping will be included in the price. The price will be changing on them to $15 this weekend so last call for my current price of $8. So we finally got word from our insurance company about what we're getting after the break in. Let's see, it was about $2000 worth of stuff stolen, plus it cost us $250 to get our door fixed, and we're getting a whopping $650 check!

I know they aren't going to pay to have every tiny thing replaced and that electronics depreciate, but holy shit. That just barely covers the cost of the door and enough to buy a tv just like the one that was stolen. :< Now I understand why some of the folks I know lied about how much stuff was stolen...

I had a GREAT time at Elliott's this past weekend! It was the first furry event and I have ever been to and we both had a blast. :) It's been a few years since we've been to any sort of con and I didn't realize how much I missed attending them.

I really want to thank everyone who stopped by my table! I felt very welcomed as an artist. Since this was my first artist event it was a learning experience. I know what I did right and I know what I did wrong and I'll be all that more prepared for the next one I go to. I made a few mistakes here and there but overall I think everyone was pleased with their badges. :3 I have a couple take-homes which will be completed tonight and mailed out tomorrow.

Everyone we talked to was so nice and friendly and the GA Furs party was GREAT. Elliott's will definitley stay on my list! It's more than worth the price and the hotel was really nice.

Now it's back to the daily grind and that means this round's IA pieces will be up by the weekend and the next round will soon be available. :D

We went to the beach on Sunday and I came home with part of a horseshoe crab. Not the whole body, just the tail and segment with ridges that the tail is attached to; so not the largest segment.

It's mostly hollowed out but it's still got a tiny bit of gunk in it plus some connective tissue holding it together. I'd like to get it all cleaned up so I can display it but it's super stinky. I'd thought about setting it near an ant bed and letting them go to work on it for a month or so BUT I'm not sure if this will get rid of that beachy fish smell plus I wouldn't really know how to reattach the tail...

I'd really appreciate if anyone has any help and ideas! Thanks!

I'm officially at a quarter of the way through! I sort of feel like I'm loosing a bit of my steam lately but I'm chalking that up to a lot of real life stress that's been going on. :( I'm really excited about this round though so I'm going to really try to step it up! :D

We will be there! :D I'm pretty excited as it will be the first furry event we've ever attended and the first con we've been to in a few years. gin_jackal and I have been in our new house for a few months. Yesterday we were broken into. We're both fine and all of our cats are fine. The scariest part was that we're pretty convinced that they came back to "test" if the door was secured while we were home.

We had stolen: tv, xbox, MvsC3 (in the xbox), ps3, all the controllers, his hard drive, our WDTV, his running shoes, some Dr. Pepper, and a bag of frozen chicken. Yeah. Chicken. wtf They didn't take the Wii! But the Wiimotes were in the basket with all the other controllers.

We're getting the door nailed shut this afternoon since no one can come out this weekend and since we had a hail storm a few weeks ago out insurance company is "experiencing a high volume of calls".

We're both super stressed, he barely slept last night and I didn't sleep at all. I was up doodling all night to keep myself awake.

Next on the agenda: getting an alarm system, a gun, and a dog.

EDIT: Just realized the fuckers stole my DS too. A pink fat. That'll get them them practically NOTHING. Had a Phoenix game in it too. ;_;

... I'm bad at it. I have about 4 or 5 pieces of personal art I've been sitting on for weeks. ;_; I keep starting on something, I'm all excited about it, then I just don't finish it. It's like I'm scared it won't look as good as it does in my head and it gets pretty discouraging. The IA has been helping tremendously with my dive back into traditional stuff and I think I can tell that it's helping with my general drawing abilities already! :D

This weekend we've got to cart three cats to the vet for shots and routine check-ups, go see a family member's band play at a bar we don't want to go to, buy a lawnmower and cut the grass, and take care of some other house related things. Other than all that, it's art stuff all weekend. :) I'm going to see about finishing up some personal art and try to put a good dent in my IA stuff.

We just got back from a quick trip to Atlanta to see Kevin Smith's Red State. When it gets to theaters, go see it. Seriously it was so good. It's ridiculous how excited I am to watch it again. Or better yet, if you're able to make one of the showings GO. Yeah, it's a little pricey for a movie but you'll get to hear a Q&A with Kevin and hear him tell a particularly amusing story about Shirley Phelps before the movie starts.

This round's IA is going to be a little more difficult kind of crunch-time thing for me. We've got a housewarming party next Saturday and we've got a lot of stuff to get done this weekend plus the trip that had me occupied for a few days; I'm going to try my very hardest to not be late on this round but don't be suprised if I get behind by a few days on this one. :(

One thing: I may do an Easter piece. Some folks may not want that since it's relevance is pretty limited and/or it's a religious holiday. If I do an Easter piece it won't be religious per say (it would be like eggs or bunnies or something), but you may not want it just the same. Just mention if you do not want an Easter piece. If you're indifferent then just leave your ref and we're good to go! :)

I was off work yesterday and got a lot done on my IA requests! I would like to play around with my style and technique, variety of characters, and all the other things that go along with lots of practice! c: For my Iron Artist challenge, I have 20 themes with 5 slots for each theme. These will become available on an announcement bases. I will always finish one set before opening another so this may vary due to that and RL stuffs but I will do my best to adhere to that schedule. I will make an announcement in a new journal when a new set is open.

I only want to do one character once; if you have multiple characters I don't mind you requesting more than one slot, but please only request one slot at a time. If you see a theme you'd like to have done for a specific character, just stick around and wait for that theme to open! Sorry! I don't want to hold them! Please do not ask for slots before they are open. I understand that not everybody will get every slot they want; but please don't be pushy. So I'm thinking about doing one of those Iron Artist things but a little different than other folks are doing them; I'm going to have 100 slots with 20 themes (so 5 slots per theme) and because it will be learning experience and practice for me, the slots will be free!
