I'm getting more and more inspired to draw lately and that is an awesome thing! :D Using FireAlpaca now, and on my laptop which doesn't agree with gradients at all... but meh. I'm working around that as best I can. I really miss Paint Tool Sai. Maybe I'll get it back one of these days. But in the meantime, FireAlpaca is actually not that bad!
I went and saw Rampage with my family today, for Mother's Day. XD Who could go wrong with the delightful Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson?? HAHAHAHA HE IS DELIGHTFUL and I loved George. <3 Kinda wanted to draw the three mutated beasties hanging out and being best of giant buds together, but uh... didn't really turn out that way lol. But yes. It's nice to be inspired to draw again. I'm apt to pick up random drawing utensils and doodle randomly at any given random time these days. WHOOOO! :D

Trying to get semi-active again I guess. Drawing is still fun and I guess I'm okay at it? ^_^;; Been pretty focused on other stuff. Gotta pay them bills. :P Anyway. New uploads comin soon and stuff. :3

Man!!! I love staying busy, I really do. And having tons of commissions to do? Even better!!
But they've all been commishes for humany stuff lately and I really miss drawing furrythings and scaleythings, yanno? D:
Been thinking about having a commission stream one of these days soon. Need to get some funds flowing for an upcoming trip. I was thinking I'd do a stream where anyone who paid at least $4 would get art of some sort. Like... you name it, up to full body with color, for $4 and then you could get extra characters or shading or whathaveyou for any amount past that. Thought it'd be a fun way to make some fundage and give a chance for broke folks to get some art if they wanted. *nodnod*
And... it'd give me some cute furs to draw! Hopefully... that is to say, if plenty of ya from around these parts come and play, whenever I do that... >_>

As promised, I will post up something a little more "introductory!" Just some basics, I guess, for now - and hopefully you'll let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know!
Hi all, I'm Steph, aka Stephasaurus Rex, bka REXY! I reside in the back yard of everyone's most beloved mouse, in his Floridian home of Orlando Florida! I'm 31 years old but I don't act like it at all XD Art is what I currently do for a living, be it hand crafts of various sorts, artwork both digital and traditional, in various mediums. I do a lot of painting, which is where most of my work comes from, lots of custom painting, be it boxes or plaques or even sometimes doll furniture and stuff like that. I get by pretty well, doing what I love as a job, and making a paycheck (so to speak) of my passions. However I am hoping to start work in one of the other local theme parks some time soon as well! (Wish me luck!!)
As for hobbies, well - I'm starting to get into dolls, a little bit. I dabble in dolls, haha! Not so much collecting them, but I enjoy getting together with some friends who collect them, and we sometimes craft cute little things like food and such. <3 I have two Monster High dolls that I love, and a few Bratz dolls that have recently come to my house to hopefully be re-painted and customized soon. Just something I've always wanted to experiment with! I'm also in search of Novi Stars. *u* (Wish I'd picked up a few back when they first came out gaaaaaaah they're so cute...! *dies*)
Despite my more "girly" tendencies (as we're lead to believe), the dolls and my proclivity for pink and rainbows and cute cute sweet candy happy fluffy things, I really do not identify as feminine at all, but rather somewhere more along the gender free/genderfluid spectrum. I'm still not real great at explaining all that, so feel free to ask if you're curious enough. *nod*
Hope to hit up MegaPlex this year, after having enjoyed myself very much at my first ever furry get-together, Elliott's Winter Gathering! Got a few friends setting up shop at MegaPlex, including

So, as someone who is rather new to the whole thing of having an anthro 'sona with which I identify (Which makes it sound like I'm taking this to some deep level, which is not really my intention but hey lets just roll with it) - I have a question!
Are you publicly known as your 'sona? Like, are you personally comfortable with referring to yourself as that 'sona in a public setting? Or do you prefer to keep that to yourself, more like a secret hobby?
I ask because I had a friend, at the start of me drawing pics of my 'sona and sharing them on Facebook, who very quietly and almost shyly asked me - "Are you a furry?" And I was kind of taken aback, both at the question itself and at the conspiratorial way in which this person asked. My answer was that I had the avatar/character that represented me, but hadn't taken any part in the larger furry community at all. It really wasn't anything that had drawn my attention - I just chose to draw myself as a dinosaur for fun, more than anything.
And now here I am today, I've joined this site as a way to share my 'sona with (hopefully) an appreciative audience, and have a little more fun with it. (Joined also because I really want to draw some anthro characters you guys. Feel free to throw some at me.) - Earlier this evening I went to an artist get together type event. Someone asked me to draw something in their book of collected sketches, and I happily obliged! When I presented the finished sketch to them, where they were seated at a table with one friend and otherwise a group of strangers, I just walked up and announced, "I drew dino!me!" Like nothin!
I mean I dunno... I spent most of my life in the closet about being bisexual. I'm still semi in the closet about being gender fluid/gender queer. Having a connection to a silly pink dinosaur representation of myself doesn't really feel like a big deal at all... but it seems that for some people, that really is a big deal. I'm curious what your take is on it!

Hi there! I'm Steph, aka Rexy! :D Not really great at introductions, and honestly at the moment sorta feel like I'm talking to myself, so I'll make sure to come back later and post up something a little more uh... introductory! *nodnod*
So I finally decided to take the leap and start a gallery over at here. Seems like this is a good place where I can be my "Dino" self, and maybe take some trades or requests from time to time, and see how that goes. Its a lot of fun, I've learned, being a dinosaur... what with the tail and the spikes and the stomping around. XD haha. Would love to get to know some peeps here, maybe make some new friends? I'm friendly, really! The tail is spikey, but if I poke ya, its not really on purpose. I'm just clumsy. D:

I think really this is just me trying to find my place in this great vast world of art. I'm learning more and more the ups and downs of being a jack-of-all-trades. Its hard to find any real rooting in the craft community, or the art community, or any community, when I do a little bit of everything. I enjoy it though - keeps me active and keeps things interesting in my silly little life. So as long as I can make a few friends along the way, I can't complain too much, really. *nod*
