Anthrocon Updates: Westin Workers = F-
Posted 12 years agoUpon arriving way earlier than expected on Thursday, we got here at about 6 AM. I have NEVER been treated so rudely. My ride sat out front as I waited to get the room situated and taken care of. While waiting, many things happened. An African American fellow who worked as a doorman was extremely rude, trying to make my ride leave before we unloaded. Then, 
shy-shy was upset all day, later that night, my sweet little special needs 14-year-old sister tells me the jerk had called her RETARDED and other names she will not say. I was more upset at this than anything, so I went to tell the manager. They sent us up a tray of snickers, m&m's and a can of peanuts to say they were sorry. Then later they called me to say, they had reviewed the tapes and saw nothing wrong had gone on. Absolutely nothing upset my little sister. Absolutely no rude attitude? I'm appalled at this, especially that they think candy would rectify the pain they caused a little girl who does not need adults who are supposed to be professionals calling her names. The other excuse, HE says he wasn't rude, he says he didn't say it. Who the hell will own up to calling a little girl something dirty? I know few men with such balls. Most are scared little boys inside and would lie to cover their own tails. Next year I will be staying in the hotel that had given me much better service and more room for my money. The workers at the Marriot's Courtyard were much, much more friendly and kindly. Who else would help me carry all my baggage to my room when no carts were available? Who always held the door for me and greeted me with glee? Yeah, main hotel for staying for Anthrocon sucks. Never again will I spend a dime on this hotel. To be treated rudely, to have a tiny room compared to people who paid less than I did, to have my youngest sister traumatized! No thank you, Westin of Pittsburgh, you FAIL.

Posted 12 years agoFCN was fun this year! I hurt myself a bit, didn't get to hang out with a few people I wanted to, but enjoyed myself. There were a few issues and a little drama...but when is there not? Anthrocon will be better, expecting no drama there.
I got a free shirt for preregistering. Lygerah was a sweetheart and got me a furoticon deck. I was gifted with a folkmanis wolf puppet.
I had money stolen, a roommate skip out on me...huge drama night one. But there was lots of great stuff, I will tell you all more later. ^.=.~

Most everyone knows the concept of pay it forward, right? Someone does something nice for you, for no particular reason, and you pay it forward by doing something nice for some other folks? Well, same idea here.
Comment below, and if you are one of the first 10 people to comment, I will put your name in a hat later this evening. I am going to have my younger sister pull 4 names out of said hat. Out of the first 10 comments, 4 will be chosen randomly. Those 4 people I will contact via note, and ask for their mailing address. Now here's the fun part.
At SOME point in 2013, no clue or hint as to when, I will send you something fun. It could be a tin of sweets (I make some wicked homemade fudge!), a sketch of your character, a random spiffy bauble I find whilst window shopping.....could be pretty much anything. And you won't know when it's coming. It will be a totally random item in the post that will hopefully cheer you up, make you smile, and be a fun little surprise. No contacting me hassling or asking when its going to be sent, or what it will be....this is me doing something nice, for the fun of it. Don't look a gift beastie in the mouth, K?
The catch? You have to do the same.....whether its the first 4 people who comment, whether you have it be the first X number of comments and do a random draw for the 4 winners.....whatever. However you do it, the point is to do something nice for 4 random people. And the presents can be whatever you want/are able to do. Art, little items you find online or while shopping, baked goods or candy, your choice! The idea is just a fun, small, not terribly expensive item that will brighten someone's day when they receive it. So, there's the deal. Running Late

Oh well, it shall be christmas themed at least. :3
Family christmas was...not very great at all for me. To make it worse, Joe could not possibly wait till just before I had to leave to tell me some upsetting things. It had to be straight away. Is alright though, more calm now. My uncle was asking where Sazume was. Ever since my grandpa died and Sazume was by my side for a lot of it, my uncle has been trying harder to not be a racist, homophobic ass.
Oh good gods, the one woman who should NEVER have children is pregnant. This poor kid will be one of those poor things who doesn't know how to play and is afraid of germs and/or getting messy. My cousin Joline is pregnant. -headdesk- Maybe I am wrong and this child will change her so she's not so uptight...but then again, I doubt it.
Christmas here at home was pretty good, spent my day watching christmas shows with my mum and little sisters. Best gifts are at a tie, a how to draw furries book from mum and a homemade dog and person food/treats cookbook from my aunt!
Sazume's gifts are still waiting for him, my aunt says he must go to her place to get his. :P

Posted 13 years agoPoor, stubborn old grandpa. He stuck with us and took three whole days to die. I love you and will always miss you!
I'm glad I have people around me. Including
Grandpa thought of you as a grandson too, man. Funeral is this weekend...I'll know more soon as my uncle gets back from the funeral parlor.
The most important person in my life is gone now. Grandpa was my rock. I could go to him and cry about anything. My grandpa always kept my secrets. I want someday to find a love like he and my grandma shared. The only pain I'd feel near the end would be the years spent lliving without the one my heart belongs too, until I can be in his/her arms again.
I only hope the other important men in my life will do well to measure up to the high standards my grandpa and his legacy set. I will forever hold the standards of what a man should be to the caliber of my grandpa.
My heart aches, but I'm also so happy. No more suffering, no more drowning in his own mucus. Damned emphezema! We stayed up all night to clean his face because when we tried to clean it all out, his body produced even more than before. It was gross, it was hard, but we did it for the love.
If only I hadn't gone to lay down and sleep at last. Only an hour...an hour and I missed being there beside him.

Life is Halt
Posted 13 years agoJoe is being a fucking asshat extreme. Tammy went into the hospital for a severe life threatening kidney infection. Instead of going to the hospital with her....he sits on his ass and watches tv. He'd rather go to his freind's house than help us care for her/care for his damned kids. He claims he doesn't understand why she is upset...he didn't know he should have gone with her, should have come to help us instead of sleeping in his trashed trailer. He can't think for his fucking self...he can't clean the damned trailer.
So...my grandpa will either die from the radiation...or...or the very doctor that told him he'd die if he goes under another surgery...has scheduled him for a surgery so after the weekend I am going to his house with my aunt and I hope....I don't know. I want to go to the hospital and be there and hope to hell he comes out of it.
But argh...I can not do anything now. Tammy needs me, grandpy needs me. Joe is a fucking sack of shit. He may have defended our country...but when it comes to being a husband and a father and a human being he is fucking shit. If he is too stupid to discover his wife needs him when she is that sick...I don't know what can happen. He needs a brain transplant. Durrrr...wife could die and is scared...husband should a. sit on ass and let mother inlaw take wife to hospital the next day. or b. get off stupid ass, take kids to inlaw and take wife to hospital, hold her hand and tell her everything is going to be alright.
So, guys...what one does husband do? No...deathly sick woman has not right to be hurt and angry at being abandoned. Graaah! Joe needs a scheduled beatdown/brain change or some fuckinng thing.

Leprechaun
Posted 13 years agoWow...now it all comes back to me why I forgot a few of the series. I just watched one of the two leprechaun movies that were terribly racist as all hell. -gigglesnorts- The best parts where when they had the things blurred...like the top of the bong and the fake blunt...and they chose to silence the words 'fuck' and 'nigger' and 'shit' but left several other swears and derogatory things alone.
Yes, fans of old horror flicks I am talking about Leprechaun: Back 2 the Hood -eyes roll- Yeah, all black people hang out in gangs and drive motorcycles and bash people with bats and have huge garbage bags full of weed. Although they did have the police brutality/crappy attitude towards colored folks right. But I guess this was a movie made back when it was okay for us to make fun of people for being a different skin color.
Ah well. I still like the series...and seeing the leprechaun get high was funny.

Posted 13 years agoI can't thank my wolfy roommates enough for all they did for me! Next year, I am going to have enough money set aside to take them out to eat somewheres with me cuz...they are great guys. I am pleased to have made two great new friends. I hope to keep talking to them after AC, Frostbite I may see at MFF,but I have to wait a whole entire year to see LoneSadWolf again! DX He actually lives around here somewheres.
I am one day going to get BlightHound to do a commission or two for me of myself and my wolfy roommies. I have an idea for one that I want...I'm not revealing too much cuz it must be a surprise!
I owe most of my good times to AC to the two of them. I think now I'd really like to get a suit of Tanzer before Masuze...I shall ask the maker to make feet hooves out of something super sturdy and super hard. -growls- Crazy, horny furs that don't listen to no shall be kicked, stomped or whatever else. I was thinking of seeing if anyone could do steeltoe feetpaws but...yeah. I suppose it is my fault for being a husky, right? X3 OMG, you're so cute I just want to hump you!
I has wyrm. May not be wyrm I really wanted...but I have just enough for one meal today so I'm not going to try and get the colored egg I so badly wanted. After all, it is the thought that counts. Someone knew I wanted one so bad, he picked me out a 'arcanine' colored egg.
Now...I am trying to decide what to do for next year. I think...2014 I may make AC my only con of the year so it can be a real blowout. I also think I'm going to shoot for volunteering so much next year, perhaps I can get on staff. There's some things that need a changing. Lie how rude some workers are to some suiters. The bands and the suiter badges...some people handing them out were rather snarky and unkind to the suiters who didn't have fullsuits. The bands, some of them made non-fullsuiters do some degrading things to get a band!
But, well...also...I see some things I can do and help out with and I'd like to not have to wait or find someone to get the okay to help in said areas.
I made lots of new friends, loved that parents encouraged their kids to interact with us here! Well, I don't want to carry so much tail back so I'mma ask if anyone wants to buy the two large ones and possibly two medium ones and then I'll give the stubby butts away to kidlings without tails. :D I'mma be the tail fairy!

Posted 13 years agoIt is very nice to be taken care of. I have some awesomely kind friends. Two of them have been helping me with food. One bought me a cute little wyrm since i was drooling at them and am hoping to get one! It wasn't the pink camo egg that I wanted, but he is a super cute wyrm!
I am quite bummed at the moment. BD is having a sale and the three summer colors are so pretty! I want a toy of each color, just to have one. XD I want one of everything in a small....just to have and in a 5. BD toys are fun for having as penis fight ammo! C'mon...as a female i find it fun to toss penises around cuz, well...it just is.

Posted 13 years ago:3 Well, someone is awesome. I has a full tummy and I has a new toy and I shall go and have some fun with my Kaden as soon as I can. I need to take a nice hot bath. Mmmm. I love my roommates. We have fun chattering and hanging out. I don't latch on to certain friends and I have been more outgoing. Between exploring and volunteering and suiting my legs and feets ache! DX

Grandpa
Posted 13 years agoHe has decided he wants to die, to be with grandma again. It hurts to watch him suffer like this. I have cought him...he hides his pills in his cheek and drinks, pretending to swallow. Then he hides them beneath the arm of his chair, the cushion thing. Or he goes to the bathroom and spits them out and tries to flush them. I am heartbroken. I am selfish, I'm just not ready to let go.
I have to beg him to eat just a small bit of food. My aunt has made a dctor's appointment for him, he is complaining of pains around his massive hernia and pains from eating. I know, he's oldand has so many things wrong with him...but I love him and don't want to lose him. I'm a little scared. Everyone I love most is leaving in some way or another.
One of my brothers lives several states away, one has turned back to a life of illegal drugs and binge drinking...the other I couldn't give a rat's tail for...my older sister died, my grandma died, my mother is reverting to her childhood behaviours...I fear she'd got dementia like grandpa. My other grandma died....
Anyone I've ever loved in a romantic sense had either pretended to love me that way or just had intentions of using me....this leaves me to feel I'll never be loved.
So all I have left are friends that I either can't see more than once a month if I am lucky or once a year. One friend I hope to visit if I can ever afford it.
My baby ( of the canine sort ) is dying. The vet gives him about one more year before his breathing problem gets bad enough to where I'd have to put him down or let him die naturally.
I'm both excited for and dreading AC now. I am terrified I'll get a call or a text that grandpa has died while I am away, enjoying myself. I lost a kid in my family while I was having fun at FCN....
Ugh.....I want to cry, but my cousin's son is still awake and I'd set him off. -flops-
