Pretenderversary
Posted 12 years agoThis is my journal. I can post whatever I want here. If I wanted to write a detailed transcript of ALL my sexual encounters, I can. If I want to start a story and post it here, I can. If I want to write about you, I can. Don't worry though, I'll keep all our secrets, we wouldn't want any of your little fans to find out would we?
Anyways. I had a great day yesterday. My husband is leaving for a deployment a little bit before our anniversary, so we had a pretend anniversary yesterday. It was a blast. My husband is so kind and caring, he's a great father. Our son was so cute at the restaurant last night, there was another baby at the table next to us and they spent all night giggling at each other and saying hi. I'm really going to miss my husband while he's gone, but luckily I have a really strong family to help support us.
Hope everyone else had a great weekend too. <3

The Exception
Posted 12 years agoSomeone who used to be a very good and close friend until a very minor argument a few months ago said:
"That saying that says that people don't know what they have until it's gone? That's bullshit. They miss what they've become accustomed to. A habit. A thought, a belief that keeps them grounded. Something, instead of the someone, that can be replaced."
It's good to know that people are just things to her.
But you know what? That may be true for her, but it's not for me. I can't just put aside 7 years of my life. 7 years of experiences that I will never get back. 7 years of memories, of trust, of love. It doesn't go away so easily for me. I still miss you. And you know what? If you happen to see this, I don't care if you aren't talking about me specifically, this what you think of people and I don't expect to be the exception. I never should have expected to be the exception.

Drowning does not look like drowning
Posted 12 years agoIt's summer time and we all know what that means. Water! My husband and I are even making the trip to the beach this year, where I spent all my childhood vacations.
Talking with him and a friend the other night about physiological responses and how sometimes you really CAN'T control yourself, I brought up drowning as an example. A drowning person can not call for help or wave their arms. They are too busy trying to breath and stay afloat. My husband never really got it, he just didn't understand.
Having a toddler son who we love to take to the pool and someday will bring with us to the beach this was a little unnerving for me. Ideally the best experience for my husband would be a lifeguard class like I took when I was younger, but small towns, we don't really have many opportunities for that around here.
Rather than depress him with stories and articles that show how easy it is for parents to watch their children drown without ever realising that they are drowning, I had him read this simple article. It's not too long, and it's easy to understand. Please, share this on your facebook pages and with family and friends.

Look for these other signs of drowning when persons are in the water:
Head low in the water, mouth at water level
Head tilted back with mouth open
Eyes glassy and empty, unable to focus
Eyes closed
Hair over forehead or eyes
Not using legs – Vertical
Hyperventilating or gasping
Trying to swim in a particular direction but not making headway
Trying to roll over on the back
Appear to be climbing an invisible ladder.
On a similar note, if you are going to the ocean or a major lake you should look up how to spot rip tides(undertow) and how to handle them.

Yahoo
Posted 12 years agoOk, anyone I had on my yahoo, my old account got locked. I tried for a week or more to get it unlocked, for some reason it wouldn't unlock, didn't feel like contacting support, so I just made a new account. My new yahoo name is batface88
It's funny...
Posted 14 years agoHow life turns out sometimes. Things that used to make me miserable led to the best things in the world. Heartache can lead to love, and sometimes from the last places you expected.
Over all, just had some of the best months of my life, with a bit of hurt thrown in the middle, but looking back, I wouldn't change anything. And in the next few months my life is going to change even more.
I'm amazed. There is so much going on now that a year ago I would have swore I'd never do. I think I'm happier than I've ever been, and the future looks even more promising.
