basically Weird Al created a great parody of her "born this way" song that he was going to give all proceeds from the sale to charity towards glbt causes I think and she said no . At least hes released the song on the web and will release a free mp3 of it in a bit.

ok so the Pokemon black and white tour came to my town over the weekend. I decided to go on Sunday. They had passes to see the latest movie Zoroark master of illusions .The movie was fairly good for a Pokemon movie.Nothing out of the ordinary though.But seeing it during tour was the only way to catch it on screen at the movie theater.I liked Zoroark`s design and powers.Zorua was a cute character too . They handed out some giant pokemaon card game card with Celebi and Zorua on it.

Besides the movie they had a demo station with dozens of copies of black and white you could try .It wasnt a big area of the game you could sample though.After you played you did get 2 metal pins one each of the 2 legendery pokemon for the games.

They also handed out a booklet you needed to get 4 stamps on (it already came with one) and then when you filled it you could spin a prize wheel. I won a metal phone charm with the 3 starter Pokemon on it so I considered myself fortunate.Thats not as cool as winning a plush but better them winning a paper visor!

They had a store set up selling plushes. I bought a Tepig one for $10.Which they placed inside a cool Pokemon store plastic bag which had various Pokemon on it.They had some cool tshirts but they were all in kids sizes. That including the fact 75% of the people there were parents or kids under 12 made one feel like a real nerd for being there >_<

And finally GameStop had the download of Celebi so that was cool.I never bothered to download any Pokemon before .I probably look around online to download other past ones maybe. So bottom line I suppose it was worth it to spend several hours dodging kids and standing in line.And it worked.I was going to wait for awhile to buy one of the new ones.But I bought Black yesterday so I guess Nintendo`s strategy worked.

ok I had a good time at Texas Furry Fiesta. I roomed with  sailoranna and marthaendragon. I drove out Wed and crashed at  Arashidrgn `s apartment in El Paso on the way over from Phoenix. We ate at a BJ`s *sophomoric laughter in Buttheads voice* and watched secret of kells on netflix .
I headed out thursday early morning and made the long drive up to Addison and checked in that evening and met with  sailoranna and SilverMcHowl to eat at a Mimi`s cafe about 8 miles away. When I got back in around 10 I got my prereg taken care of and picked up my stuff.Though I didnt get the small plush I was supposed to get.But I didnt care much so I didnt bother to pick it up.
Friday I got up a little late so I didnt eat breakfast.I did meet up with Marthaendragon and give him his room key. I made it to the dealers den as it opened and walked around once briefly before setting down at Joe Rosales` table  joeartguy (shared with guest of honor Megan Giles  dustmeat ) I got  darknatasha to do a picture for me. Its funny how easy it is to get art at a smaller or medium sized con as opposed to FC or the biggest of all AC.If I had more money I could have cleared up the art show or got Michele Light art too but I decied to focus on the artists I wanted most since my art budget was a bit tight (like roughly $400 or so ) . I had the Mexican dinner buffet there at the hotel restaurant with  sailoranna and it wasnt bad. I bought  Jhughes dinner in trade for a sketch so he ate with us as well. Some guy was doing magic tricks in the restaurant and I think almost got himself thrown out because one involved his wallet shooting out a high flame from it.Not the smartest thing I saw done at the con thats for sure.

Sat was more of nailing down commissions and picking them up.I got art from someone I wanted art from for years  king-cheetah. The supersponsor (and sponsor? ) dinner was cool.The Italian food at he restaurant was tasty enough.But there was no one from the con there to even say one word about it and thnigs seemed pretty unorganized.I know it was a smaller con but I`m used to well run AC events so it was a bit disappointing.I saw a marathon of Sonic episodes in the video programing but it wasnt until 1 am and I was tired so I watched 2 episodes of hoarders (man thats one freaky show!I never had seen it before. ) ,wandered around a bit more.Then I went to bed around 12:30 am.

Sunday was packing up for checking out and picking up sketchbooks. The one very good thing about the con was that my room was on the 2nd floor.That was the same floor as the dealers den and was the easiest trips I ever had to go from a con to my room say if I wanted to hit the bathroom or grab something. I also met up with Steve Carter for a bit before he headed off.He was nice enough to spring for breakfast for me so I`ll have to commission him sometime or something to make up for that. Once closing ceremonies was over. (which is another really funny thing.They were from 5pm-6pm which was during the last of the dealers room hours.I also maybe was responsible for Meg to attend it since noone seemed to know if she was to attend.At least as close as 5 minutes before,Meg wasnt told when or where it was or if she was suppossed to be there.So I guess I helped *in Zoidberg voice claps "I`m helping I`m helping! * )So I went with :iconsailoranna to Outback Steakhouse for dinner and looked through each others books there and back at the con briefly before I headed off to SilverMcHowl`s place to crash for the night since I had a long drive ahead of me that I`d never make without some sleep.

Monday I woke up a bit later then I wanted.I had some trouble falling asleep on the air mattress at first since I had never slept on one before.Anyway I headed off and when i got gas I noticed I was across the street from the new billion dollar Dallas Cowboys stadium.SoI took a few pictures since I thought that was pretty neat.I also saw a Blackeye Pea but it wasnt open yet for another 30 minutes or so and I didnt have time to stop anyway for a long sit down meal.But I had fond memories of eating there back in the late 90s and I wish there was still some around. I did stop at a Fazolis though in Odessa on my way back. I miss those places too. It`s decent fast food Italian for not too much.Its better then Sbarro`s anyway.So I drove,and I drove,and I drove... >_< I didnt get back to Phoenix till 4am after like 18 hours of driving. I did stop for gas and food.The bad part of the trip was after ElPaso.Lots of fog,road construction,cold (it was down to 25 degrees in rural new mexico ) and just fatigue kicking my ass those last few hours.But I got home safe.

So anyway final stats were..the con had 1034 attendees.There was 165 in the fursuit parade and there were some cool costumes.The charity amount raised was over 4k (which included a last second pass the hat and auctioning off of 2 made during a panel fursuits ..which came after passing the hat.Maybe it would have been smarter to do that the other way around. )
So then what have we learned? Well TFF was fun and I`d strongly consider going again.But it is very close to FC and I havent attended FC for 2 years now.So we`ll see .I would maybe like to hit eurofurence in 2012.
Oh and art.. I got art from  ameart ,  king-cheetah (4 pictures) ,  daq , jhughes,  animecat ,  portzebie ,  joeartguy ,  dustmeat ,  mitti ,  mongooseink ,  limecustard ( a freebie pic since she didnt have a tax license or something ) ,  darknatasha , and a freebie by  sailoranna . so sixteen pics isnt too bad over 3 days.

ok my plans have solidified now. As much as I`d like to go to FC,it`s not wise financially for me to do so.Its a bit too close to another con I want to go to this year. I will be attending Texas Furry Fiesta Feb 24-28 . And of course I`ll be going to Anthrocon and San Diego comic con in June/July.
As far as furry fiesta goes I decided to super sponsor and stay at the main hotel (instead of shopping around) the room rate seems very reasonable.If anyone I know plans to go and needs a room go ahead and note,email or im me.

Now these are such logic fails of epic proportions I dont know whether to laugh or be annoyed or both.

Hi all. Just and update on my room. I am flying out to PIttsburgh today.I will be visiting family in western Pa until thursday of the con.
I have a room at the Omni.I have 2 friends that will have to drop out of our room because of a family emergency (2 relatives suddenly very ill ) Right now it`s just me and  daverab and a third semilocal fur , tecopet . daverab I would be looking for ideally for one more person. I`d want nonsmoking (at least in the room) no drugs or illegal activity and of course people who practice good hygenie and dont come barging in the room noisily at 3 am ;p I will be offline so contact dave if youre interested and he will contact me.
