August Update
Posted 10 years agoWow, it’s been a while since I updated a journal that WASN’T announcing commissions or a stream, huh?
Time to update my watchers on happenings! If you haven’t been following my stream chats, I spend most of the day being a stay-at-home dad and the night trying to catch up on commission work. I enjoy having the company during the chats though, even when I’m so absorbed that I don’t look up at it.
My son is growing fast, he’s just about ready to walk. He keeps letting go of stuff and standing by himself, getting really excited and then falling on his butt. It’s only a matter of time. As he gets more and more mobile I find my free moments while caring for him during the day getting smaller and smaller, which is why I try to cram surfing the web, reading the news and streaming into the same chunk of time.
Hmmm, what else… once Iron August is over I really haven’t thought about what to do next. I want to draw some squiggly stuff for Squigtember, since
Madamsquiggles’s contribution to May-ternity was so tremendous! But I also don’t want to step on the toes of anything she’s got planned.
And I’m probably going to start a Patreon once I get around to it! Still trying to figure out what to offer as rewards. Who are your favorite Patreon artists and what type of rewards are you interested in? Let me know.

A BIG thank-you to the participants of the contests and donors for all the sequences this month, and an even BIGGER thanks to all the artists and writers who contributed/collaborated on art and stories to make this event a big hit!
But all good things must come to an end. The May-ternity deviantArt group is closed for submissions until next year, and the sale on pregnancy themed commissions is over. It’s time to look to the future, at new challenges and themes. I’m gonna try to do a YCH once a month, so if you like to bid on them keep an eye out!

Final Week of May-ternity!
Posted 10 years agoWell it's been a heck of a month! I'm so pleased with how many great artists and authors have lent their time and energy to this event, not to mention how many donation sequences and commissions were generated! The community really seized the idea and ran with it, and next year looks like it'll only be bigger!
There are still a few last minute announcements to go! The Battle of the Bumps is now CLOSED for donations! I have three updates to complete (and if I get them done before the end of the month it'll be a bloody miracle! XP ) so I'm cutting it off now.
What? Who won? I guess you'll have to wait and see!
And don't forget Esther's Coloring Contest! The contest ends Thursday, and the winner gets to choose an OC to present the champions with the Battle of the Bumps 2015 trophy! Download the line art below and add a design of your choosing to her belly-art!

I do have plans to hold a sale on line art commissions in July, as sort of a training regimen for a project I have planned later this year... but more on that later!

Posted 10 years agoGreetings and welcome to the first annual May-ternity, a time for creators and fans to celebrate maternity with original characters, stories, fan art, art trades, even discounted commissions! I thought I’d write this little journal to help lay out how you can participate if you want to!
Does May-ternity have any rules? No. There’s no committee, no panel, no policing.
Does May-ternity have any guidelines? Yes. Here are a couple:
1. Pregnancy and/or lactation should be the main theme of the work. BBW, Breast expansion, BDSM, TG/TF, even vore - these themes and more are fine to INCLUDE, but if they’re the main focus of the work instead of the pregnancy theme then why bother?
2. Celebrating pregnancy means just that - avoid negativity and kink shaming. Some people like anthros, some don’t. Some people like tentacles, some don’t. Some people like mpreg and some REALLY don’t. Focus on having fun and making something you enjoy rather than bashing something someone else enjoys.
3. All pics with May-ternity content should begin with “MT” followed by the title. For example: “MT - Hungry For More”.
4. From Madamsquiggles herself: “Squigs don’t count as the whole pregnancy theme because there’ll be a whole month for them.” That’s right - save your squig requests for SQUIGTEMBER in September!
Does this mean you can ONLY draw pregnancy-related stuff for a whole month?
- Like I said before, nobody is policing it. Participation is totally optional. If you want to draw just one pic as your May-ternity submission, then go ahead!
How can I participate?
The answer to that is easy if you’re a creator - just make stuff with pregnancy in it! You can do it for free, on commission, as Patreon rewards, have a contest or do a giveaway. You’re a creator, so get creating!
If you’re less inclined towards creating stuff and are more on the audience/viewership side of the equation, you can still take part! As always, comments and favorites reward artists’ spirits and help them maintain creative momentum. If you like to commission art (THANK YOU) then you can always commission a pregnancy-themed pic from your favorite artist(s)! Commissioners and Patreon patrons help artists survive and invest time and energy (and a bit of their money too) into creating things - your support is always appreciated!
I have a bunch of events planned, including a contest and a donation-expansion sequence guest-starring some familiar faces! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment on this journal!

Here’s the breakdown for my watchers and clients: I’m working from home and being a stay-at-home-dad during the day. I will not be available until at least 6PM EST on weekdays. As you can imagine this will cut down my productivity a bit, but I hope to be able to get a bit of work done.
