Hey guys, general update for you all: I've moved! Getting kicked out was totally unexpected and very short notice, so as you can imagine things have been hectic. I'm at my mom's now, probably for a year or so at least, until I can buy or rent a new place (hoping to buy). My work machine is still not completely set up (and won't be for a week or two), so I'm going to focus on getting my possessions fully unpacked and some traditional art done, among other things.

In other news, I've signed up for Megaplex in early August! Very much looking forward to getting back to conventions and seeing people ^-^ I have two confirmed time slots in the artist alley, friday morning and saturday afternoon, and if things go well I'll lottery into a few more. Hope you all have been staying safe, and that this summer goes better for everyone

Just like the title says, if you hadn't figured it out I more or less took the summer off this year. With covid cancelling cons and me therefore qualifying for unemployment, I figured it was a rare opportunity to take some time for myself with minimal work and just... relax a bit. It's been really nice.

As things turn to fall I've started taking on work again, but limited - I don't want to go over 5-6 paid orders at a time right now. I also still have a huge backlog of unposted art to upload. For whatever reason I often worry about the right time to upload pieces, I think in some vain hope that I'll magically get a ton of followers by manipulating the system - anyway, I've realized this is stupid and so they'll just be popping up whenever I have the energy to submit them. I think I have in the range of 30-40 pieces to post at this time

At this point all my regular conventions through February have been cancelled, and I'm predicting that potentially everything through 2021 will bite the dust. Thankfully I've been financially preparing for this possibility, so assuming no emergencies happen I should be good through next year. I'm really missing all my con friends, but, looking forward to when I'll be able to see you all again

For those who don't know, I make and sell baked goods at two farmers markets during the summer. Hey all! I wanted to issue a warning for your inboxes because... an art dump is coming xD I'm literally sitting on 25 finished pieces of art that I haven't submitted yet, and unfortunately the backlog is getting BIGGER instead of smaller, oops. It probably won't be this week because I have a YCH I want to post and an art deadline on Monday, but next week I will be specifically devoting work time to posting the aforementioned artworks. So, yep! Hopefully this makes you more happy than sad, heh.

Otherwise, hope you all have been doing well! I feel like this account has been more business journals over the past year than personal ones, but I have been working a LOT :P I actually have signed up for two farmers markets this upcoming summer too, which means I'm going to be aggressively splitting my work time for about four months between my art and my baking. Long story short, everything needs it's own sections of time set aside so that I can be the most productive (INCLUDING relaxation time). If I don't do that, I just work through my personal time and feel bad whenever I do something fun because I'm not working. (But I rarely burn out??) It's messed up

Hey peeps! I wanted to give a general update (and wipe the anthrocon journal off my page heh). August has been super busy for me! July was too. It's summer where I live (Minnesota) and so generally that means my art time slows down as I do fun summer things and sell pastries at my local farmers market. This period generally only lasts from June - August, and then in September people start having less events and all my vacations are done besides duck hunting at the end of the month. So, nearly there really :D I think this year things will revert back to normal once I get back from Furry Migration, which is September 7-9th.

A few other things to note... I have this huge backlog of art to post but no motivation to do it. I think it must have something to do with how busy I am, like maybe I only have X amount of energy and posting art just doesn't make the cut. I have no idea, but I'm hoping to get that squared away soon since (of course) it bothers me not to have it done. I also need to get a sketch batch out that I meant to have done ages ago, but basically the same problem as above. I'm hoping next week will be the winner there heh.

So yeah! The final thing I wanted to mention is I'm going to Michigan this weekend from Friday-Monday to visit Mackinac island. I'll won't have my computer but I will have internet, so if you need anything please poke me. As always I try to be communicative, so if anyone has any questions or ever wants updates shoot me a note anytime.

I'm happy to announce I'm going to anthrocon this year! Just bought my reg and plane ticket yesterday, eee. I've never flown to a con before AND I heard anthrocon is a different experience than MFF, so I'm looking forward to it.

I'm going to be staying with my oldest furry friend bigfuzzywolf both at the con and before/after. And while I'm there I'm hoping to be in the alley at least two days; I signed up for the lottery and am bringing all my important art stuff. ^-^ And I'm sure if I don't mention it I'll be spammed, so RadiantWingedDragon is going to be hanging out with me a bunch too. xD

Who else is going? It'll be fun to meet furs that are out of my normal con range, aka minnesota/wisconsin/illinois area. Any tips or suggestions? How's the food situation out there? I ask since MFF's food options are terrrrible and I want to know ahead of time if AC is the same way. @.@

What's going on life-wise for me? Well, I've been working a LOT. I got myself into a bit of an art hole so the past month has been lots of 10-12hr days, 6 days a week. I finally hit my limit and crashed these past few days... well somewhat anyway, I still got a lot of work done. Life is not very exciting to talk about when you're nose to the grindstone day in and day out xD I'm very nearly caught up though so the pain has been worth it. (Not much pain to be honest, I guess I like working a little too much.)

Con-news! I have 4 lined up so far this year. I had a great first time dealers experience at Fursquared, and in the beginning of april I'll be at Anime Detour in Minneapolis with a pokemon themed booth. After that, well... nothing definite until early September (Furry Migration). BUT, I'd love to make it to Anthrocon fingers crossed. Nevermind looks like I'm going whether I like it or not LOL

Other than that... yup, I just spend a lot of time collaborating on personality studies with a work partner of mine and occasionally playing league of legends. I haven't even played league at all this past month ; ~ ; Though one of my hopes for this year is doing more writing,; last night I pooped out two pages of random scenes for an old story of mine that I want to make a novel with someday. Basically trying to nail down personalities, or character facts, or background information. Maybe I'll share some eventually, you guys would enjoy it I think. ^-^
