What games have you spent the most TIME on?
Posted 10 years agoKind of an interesting question... people ask what your favorite games are, but not the ones you've played the most. :D For me:
1.) World of Warcraft
2.) League of Legends
3.) Pokemon
4.) Starcraft
Not sure about the order, but that's my best guess. SC and Pokemon could easily be swapped around, but I don't think I've played either more than League or WoW. How about you guys?

Hey! I'm making a podcast! About GAMES!
Posted 10 years agoAnd we're already 10 episodes in! Do you like games? Do you like listening to people talk about games? WELL THEN. (P.S.: I'm the lady)
https://soundcloud.com/thegamecavep.....gue-of-legends
Seriously, I'd appreciate it if you could check it out. We talk about games we've been playing, game news, and even have segments such as "All the podcast members played a game and are now going to talk about it!" and "Little known games you don't know about, but should!" Anyway, I know the creator (and me) would really appreciate some listens, so if that sounds like your thing please check us out. <3

Back from Hunting!
Posted 10 years ago...but you didn't even know I was gone. :P Anyway, I'm back now and am resuming my normal work. :) The months of October and November are always very busy for me, but after deer hunting things even out again.
Also, my sister is having a baby shower this weekend! I'm helping prep and decorate and clean and stuff. I've never done anything like this before, but its fun. A lot of work though. And I've decided, if I ever have a baby shower I'm going to invite all my guy friends, make them do embarrassing baby shower games, and then play video games all night. :D

Posted 10 years agoPWYW Halloween Commissions
Posted 10 years agoHey guys! I'm opening commissions again (yay!), but I wanted to kick it off with some fun Halloween festivities. Basically, I'm offering a pay-what-you-want Halloween (or Autumn) theme, where you give me your character and a little prompt and then I make you something based on that. :)
RULES:
- Any amount $1+ is fine. You WILL get what you pay for, however. :P
- I most likely won't get to everyone, and I won't go in order.
- Payment will be ON COMPLETION!
- The style is my choice.
- Once Halloween is over I won't be drawing any more of these, unless you indicate otherwise.
- Multiple characters are welcome, but the style will be adjusted accordingly based on the added work load.
- I will endeavor to include color in every commission XD
Interested? Note or comment below with this prompt:
- Character Reference(s) (written or visual):
- One sentence prompt ("artistic freedom!" if you have no preference):
- If I don't complete your commission by Halloween, do you still want it finished?
- How much do you want to pay?
Finally, regular commissions ARE open again just so everyone knows. Hope you all are having a fantastic October. :)

Commissions are CLOSED!
Posted 10 years agoHey all! Just letting you all know that I've been hired to work on a comic project for the next month or two, and as such I'm closing commissions. There are a few people I've been discussing ideas with, and you all are still fine to get work from me. But otherwise, all other new projects will have to wait until I'm open again in a few months. :)
All current commissions will be finished before the comic work begins, so no worries about this second project slowing down my current work. BWEEE excite!
I might even end up pooping out some personal work while working on the comic! What to draw what to draw... I hardly ever get to make anything for myself so it might be a good time to develop some head world stuff. Bwee! :D

Anyone going to Furry Migration? :)
Posted 10 years ago*points to title* I've been doing con prep for a few weeks now and everything is on schedule, so I'm pretty excited. :D Is anyone else planning on attending? I'm going to attempt to camp out in the artist alley a lot of the time and it'd be fun to meet some people. :)
Have you been to an artist alley? HELP ME!
Posted 10 years agoHI! Okay, so I offically signed up for my first furry con: Furry Migration! I am excite. But, I also signed up to be in the artist alley and here's the deal: I've never been to a con. EVER. So basically... I have no idea what to do. XD
What kind of art do people generally sell in the artist alley? Should I offer traditional stuff to do on the spot? Should I take commissions for digital art that I'll deliver at a later date? How do I show off my art, just in a binder? What are people looking to buy compared to the dealer's den? I seriously have no clue. ANY AND ALL INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! I don't even know 100% what to ask. Thank you ; ~ ;

Take this anonymous survey and get some free art!
Posted 10 years agoHey guys! I put together a commissioner feedback form in an attempt to get some honest, anonymous feedback of how my clients feel about working with me!
- The only requirement is that you've commissioned me for some art in the past!
- They survey is also completely anonymous, so honesty is encouraged. :)
Interested? Sweet! Here's how you can participate:
1.) Fill out the survey here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Fh.....?usp=send_form
2.) Once you complete the form, comment on this journal saying you've completed it!
And that's it! I'll close the form on August 10th, and then use a random number generator to pick someone in the journal to get some free art. Thanks in advance to anyone who fills this out for me! It's important for me to know how my commissioners feel about my process so I can continue to improve. :)

I'm in Florida!
Posted 10 years ago...and have been since Tuesday. XD I meant to make a journal before I left, but I just didn't have time and since I got down here I've been crazy busy. @.@ The trip was a bit last-minute; basically my mom (who has been living here for the last 6 months) decided she wanted to move back up to Minnesota, and needed a driving partner. So she bought me a plane ticket and here I am. :)
I start the LONG (24 hour) drive tomorrow, which I'm not looking forward to. We're going to try to do 16 of those hours tomorrow if we can, since then we'd only have 8 left for Monday. In the meantime I went and swam in the ocean for the first time, went to Disney World (Magic Kingdom), and have been eating and seeing various other odds and ends in the area. I also went to a timeshare presentation for super cheap Disney tickets... that was an experience, LOL.
Anyway, just thought I'd give you all an update on my not-exactly-planned vacation. How are all of you doing anyway? :)

Last Call for BBQ Participants! :D
Posted 10 years agoHey guys, we're closing up the BBQ party commission tomorrow! We have 5 participants now, which is awesome, but there is always room for a few more. :) Check out more info about it here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6838554/
I'm going to be out of town for the next day or two, so if you're interested in a last minute slot please note P9iko0. Thanks again everyone! :D

Looking for participants for a BBQ Party!
Posted 10 years agoHey everyone! P9iko0, a good friend of mine, is looking for more participants for a BBQ party commission through me! The general idea is that everyone's characters will be mulling around, eating food and grilling, perhaps on a beach or in a backyard. Something like... this! http://ttnn.com.vn/wp-content/uploa.....y-tips-top.png
- The style will be Sketch + Cel Shade, so it'll look something like this when finished: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16591137/
- The price per slot will be $40. :)
- The final image will be a full scene with a finished background.
We have three people interested so far, and are basically hoping to round up at least one or two more participants. Feel free to note either me or P9iko0 if you want more information! I hope a few of you are willing to jump in so this can TRULY be a full BBQ party, hehe. :3

Commissions open indefinitely again :)
Posted 10 years agoHey everyone! I'm officially going back to an indefinitely OPEN queue, starting... today! I liked the slot system a lot, except that I just ended up taking commissions when I was closed too. I guess that just proves I work better on an open system, and should close if I get too many instead. :3
I know some of you like to wait around until I open, so if you have an idea feel free to note me. Before I'd close down if I got around 10 slots filled, so I'll just go back to that system I think. :)
Otherwise how are all of you doing? I saw Mad Max today! Also just finished a week of hanging out with family, and trying to get my mom and sister to move back to Minnesota from Florida. (Well, for my sister it would be to stay in MN.) Pretty stressful and time consuming, but I'd say it went fairly well considering. How about you guys? Have anything fun going on this weekend?

Trying out Trello
Posted 10 years agoSo I've decided to take a stab at Trello. I've been using it privately for the past few days, and although something about the visual look of it bothers me (I think how vertical it is?), I have to admit its pretty useful. I DON'T like how there appears to be a bug where the cover card doesn't show up sometimes... but that's a minor complaint. And I DO like how it publicly shows all the sketch steps for people to see. :D
https://trello.com/b/C7hYTEd1/commissions
I do also like the system I currently have set up, where I use my main page for commission updates. But if I like Trello enough I might just switch to it entirely. What do you guys think? Do you like using Trello for queue updates? Or would you prefer something different?

Need some refs! Chance at free art. [CLOSED]
Posted 10 years agoI wanna offer a new stream commission type, but I need some examples first. No you don't get to know what style I'm drawing in, it's a surprise. I will tell you that it'll probably be cute. :P
- I need refs! Written or visual are fine, I work from both.
- It's NOT first come first serve.
- I'll make as many or few as I feel like. However....
- Send me a tip and I'll make you one for sure. Rikkoshaye[at]gmail.com - make sure you include your FA name please.
Aaand yep! B'WEEEE! *rolls around cutely*

Commissions are CLOSED!
Posted 10 years agoHey everyone, it's that magical time when I decide to open commissions! I decided on a couple fun themes this time around, for all of you who like artistic freedom. :D And there are definitely regular slots available as well, for those of you who want something specific.
Lighting Themed Artistic Freedom Commissions!
These commissions will work just like my normal artistic freedom commissions, except that they're guaranteed to have cool lighting! Think stuff like edgelighting, light from below, spotlighting, backlighting, and so on. You provide the character and, if you so desire, are free to pick a lighting scheme (either of what I listed above, or if you have something else in mind that's fine too). The rest is left up to me! :)
- $30 base price
- +$20 per additional character
- You're guaranteed more than $30 worth of art! It's the least I can do, since you're giving me full artistic freedom. :)
Two-Word Draw Artistic Freedom Commissions!
What I'll be doing for this set is I'll use this random word generator to come up with two words, which I'll then base your commission around. :) These commissions will be more loose and sketchy than the previous tier, probably done in a style like so: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15071769/
- $20 base price
- +$15 per additional character
PLEASE READ BEFORE CLAIMING A SLOT:
I offer lots of different styles for all budgets! Check out my pricelist to see the kinds of styles I offer: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9410373/
I am a clean artist only! Here is a list of the things I will and will not draw. If you have any questions PLEASE ask! I love talking about almost everything, despite having certain drawing preferences, so don't be shy: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4882552/
These are first paid first served! Once you claim a spot its yours, but the order I finish them in is determined by the order people pay in. I'll either stay open until they're all claimed or close at the end of the week, whichever comes first. ^-^
And finally here is my Terms of Service, which you agree to by commissioning me: http://www.tinyurl.com/WWTOS
So interested in a commission? Feel free to comment below, note me, or email me at Rikkoshaye[at]gmail.com to claim a spot! Let me know your general idea, the commission style you'd like, if you want to purchase any of the specials for this month, and we'll go from there. :)
If you have any questions please ask, I'd love to answer any questions you may have. :D
Normal Commission Slots:
1.)Phantomfullforce - Finished!
2.)Sriseru - Finished!
3.)Maundrill - Finished!

Commissions Opening Soon! :D
Posted 10 years agoHey guys, just letting you know that I'm planning on opening for commissions again on Monday, March 30th! It's been a while and I have a few different ideas floating around in my head. If you guys have any feedback that would be awesome!
1.) Just do a regular commission opening. Have slots, take so many, yadda yadda.
2.) Do an artistic freedom commission opening! Price would probably be $30 each, and I'd be specifically working on cool lighting schemes. I'm even considering letting the commissioners choose what kind of lighting they'd like. So think like edge lighting, spot-lighting, half-shadow, light from below, etc.
3.) Or, of course, a mix of the two. :)
We butchered our pigs all last week, which cut into a lot of my arting time, so I'm trying to make up for it this week. I have a pretty big set of commissions for Mahiri that would be AWESOME to finish up, so I'm going to try for that before I open on Monday. :)
That's about it from me! Hope you all are having a good week. ^-^

Anyone want to trade snacks for art?
Posted 10 years agoSo this is an odd idea, but would anyone outside of the United States be interested in trading a box of snacks for art? Basically I'm interested in various foodstuffs that I just can't get here. Salty, sweet, weird, etc, just whatever you'd like to send that you find odd and (hopefully) delicious.
I'd probably leave the price of the package and how much you want to send me up to you. Then once you sent it you could give me the total (including shipping), and I'd make some art of equal value as trade. Is this too weird of an idea, or would anyone actually be interested in this? Also, I might make it an artistic freedom type deal. Since the snacks I'd be getting would be a surprise, your art would be too. :D
I'm VERY open when it comes to the kind of food and beverages I like to consume. My only restraint would be nothing mainstream (Hershey bars, Coca-Cola, etc) and nothing alcoholic (which to be honest I don't know why anyone would send me that anyway).
Anyway, if this actually appeals to any of you let me know! I might note a few of you if anyone is interested. I also maaaybe could be persuaded to do this with someone inside of the US too, but only if you are convinced you could round up enough weird stuff I've never heard of before, hehe.

Current Commission Queue!
Posted 10 years agoSooo I've been bad and after finishing my last batch of commissions, I just kept taking more privately. >.> I've got basically a full load again now, so I'm going to make a list of them to help me keep track of where I'm at and what needs to be finished before I ACTUALLY open again.
Also, I'm considering doing a special opening where the focus will be on working on lighting practice. So, basically an artistic freedom batch but maybe where you can pick what kind of light source you'd like in the picture itself. BUT, in order to open for that I need to finish these lovelies, so!
1.redhunter337 - Finished!
2.red-xiiinanaki - Finished!
3.klippy - Finished!
4.maundrill - Finished!
5.sammythefox - Finished!
6.maundrill and p9iko0 - Finished!
7.sriseru - Finished!
8.maundrill - Finished!
9.bluetippedwolf - Finished!
10.veauxkoszmar - Finished!
11.mahiri - Finished!
12:breeducky - Finished!
I've been doing a lot of jumping around on these too, so a lot of them are like halfway done. This'll hopefully help me stay more on track. OKAY! Enough rambling from me! This is mostly for myself so thanks anyone who actually reads it. XD

Survey Winner Announced!
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone, thank you so much for participating in that 3D model survey I posted! As promised, I ran all of the responses through a random number generator and the winner of the free sketch is...
aleera-zoroark!
Thank you again for everyone who helped. It seems like people are generally interested in custom figurines, more-so than I expected - which is way cool. :)
A lot of people thought it was me who was interested in starting a figurine business, which isn't true - but I realize I wasn't very clear about that in my original journal. veauxkoszmar is the one who is interested in this particular venture, so if you want to learn more go poke him! As for me, back to my art, as usual. :D

Take a quick survey, get a chance at some free art. ^-^
Posted 11 years agoHI AGAIN! I can't seem to stop making journals this January. ANYWAY, here is another free art opportunity from yours truly! This time around I'm offering a chance at a free sketch, picked via random number generator as before. A friend of mine wants to gauge interest in a possible business idea involving 3D modelling, and could use your help!
