Is there a point, for me as an artist, to get one?

Hey guys, my bf and I are looking for room for two at MFF! Not looking to do a room with more than 4 or 5 people total in it, and we're bringing at least one partial suit and (hopefully) one full suit. If you've got room or know anyone who does, let me know!

Edit: Note, I may be bringing art supplies and I may or may not party hard.

I don't do horse dick/oral commissions anymore. If you want one from me, you can pay $500.

When you're sketching, do you find yourself drawing fast and loose, tightening as you go, or do you find yourself more inclined to slow down and get it right the first time?

When you draw with a tablet, esp. one without a screen, do you draw with it flat on the desk in front of you or do you prefer to have it in your lap?

While I'm personally not inclined to leave FA, I understand that several of my watchers might be.

Hey guys, so, my computer's gotten to the point that it has to be upgraded or I'm not going to be able to continue doing digital art. It shit the bed this morning and I lost the high res version of a commission I spent quite a bit of time on, and I'd like to not repeat this incident.

I've got this crappy HP Slimline that I bought back in like, 2008 or 2009. For perspective on how bad it is, my windows experience score is like, a 3.5. That's my lowest score. In the category being based on my computer's ability to run Windows Aero The graphics in this thing have got to be upgraded.

So here's what I'd like to do. The parts I need to upgrade (video card, power supply, and an adapter for the video card) come up to around $120. I'm offering a commission up to 2 characters, bumped to the front of my queue for the cost of those parts.

Since I get inquiries fairly regularly, I feel like I need to clarify.

I am no longer accepting any more oral commission.

That is to say, no more of the side-shot, horsedick in mouth pictures. I've gotten burned out on them and won't be taking anymore in the future. If you're interested in getting a commission that *involves* oral however, that's fine.

I got back from TFF and have 50+ new watchers, holy crap, thank you guys!

Whoa, I want to thank everyone, but I just can't! So many of you! Thank you for the watches though! I'll try to get more active and post more often so you guys have a reason to haha

It seems I accidentally took a hiatus. Lots of life stuff, had to make some really tough decisions and needed time to sort myself out. Art should be getting back on track soon, though. I'll be trying to get through commissions I owe, then focusing on personal work for a little while.

In the meantime, does anyone know if there's a good way to use a Fujifilm Finepix to film myself drawing so I can stream traditional work?

I should be back on track with art soon! Don't expect to hear much out of me after I get through last month's queue, though; after this stuff is done, I'm going to be dedicating all of my free time to trying to meet a Feb 1 deadline for grad school x_x

So, here's the scoop...

The family of my friend who died yesterday is having trouble bringing in the money to pay for his services, which are scheduled for this Sunday. They need $1400 more dollars at the cheapest place they could find. He was the primary money-maker, as his mother had passed away last year, his brother is on dialysis three times a week with failing kidneys and can't work, and the rest of his family is either in another state or otherwise not connected to them at all.

I don't really have anything to give you, but please, if you can spare some money, even just a couple of bucks, to help them out, please do.

I met him when I was in grade school. He was a new face on the bus I rode every day. I grew up in a rural area, there weren't many kids there. We became fast friends. We stayed good friends. We went through middle school, junior high, and high school. I graduated a year after his brother, and he graduated a year after me. I was only a year older than him. He was 24.

I remember, at one point, I spent so much time at his house, it became my second home. His mom considered me one of her sons. He was a brother to me. She passed away last year.

We went to the same community college. He became a CNA. I graduated and moved away. He became a father. Even though he didn't ask for the kid, nor was he sure that the kid was even his, he took care of him. He was a great guy.

We disconnected when I moved away. This is one of my greatest regrets.

I can't hold back my tears. I can't keep my mind straight or my breathing steady.

Today, he was involved in an unfortunate accident, and didn't survive. He was 24. A year younger than I am. I grew up with him. He was a brother to me.

He's gone. He won't be back. I won't get to party with him again. I won't get to laugh with him again. There won't be any more nights crashing on his couch when it's too late to go home. I won't get to say I'm sorry for losing contact.

We're not invincible. The people we love can be taken away from us at any moment. Tell the people you love that you love them. Don't let them slip away.
