Hello everyone. This, as you have probably guessed, is Rip K. And I would like just a moment of your time to discuss a few things that are heavy on my mind right now. Soon, I will have an opportunity to attempt to do art full-time. With my mate getting a job and a stable home environment, in a month or so I will have the option to attempt to take furry art seriously. Unfortunately, over the past couple years, I've spent my time first trying to hold a 4.0 as a full-time student, and after getting my criminal justice associate's, working at a law office. Maintaining a 4.0 ate all my time. And now I work for what comes out as slightly less than minimum wage pulling 55+ hours a week at a law office as salary. There really isn't the opportunity to advance there, and it is not something that I intend to pursue as a career. All this being said, it's not worth having no time whatsoever for a nominally larger check than I would get working at a cash register.

Over the past couple years I have fallen off the face of the earth on several occasions, going 4-5 months without posting, and even worse, 4-5 months without drawing. I think just about any artist would agree that if you're not doing it every day, you're doing it wrong. Needless to say, I am terribly out of practice and have not improved like I could have and should have. I've had a lot of people ask about commission work and I would really like to be able to do things like that. I feel making the decision to commit myself to art full time will not only give me the opportunity to take on commissions, but do work of a much better quality.

There is also the issue of a web-comic that I've quite literally been wanting to do for several years now. I've done a lot of preliminary work, but realistically have never been able to keep up a pace that would allow me to do any quality work on a project of that caliber. Coming home every other week and trading an hour or so of sleep for a rushed picture just to toss on my gallery to try to keep it alive is just not good enough.

A lot of people have taken their time to tell me that they enjoy my work and appreciate what I do. And to the fandom as a whole, I feel like I haven't responded to those graces adequately. The only thing I can really ask for at this point is for feedback. Any feedback, it doesn't matter what it is, whether you're an artist or not, tell me how it's a terrible idea, overdue, or anything at all whatsoever. I'm committing to this thing and any feedback or advice is unimaginably helpful. Thank you for your time...here goes nothing.

So today is Joe Murray day. Joe Gave me the gift of Rocko's Modern Life. A big part of my youth and also one of the many things that propelled me towards the furdom. that being said i want to return the gift, so for the rest of the day I will do TONS of Rocko styled art. I'm going to try to get in as much as I can!
