Been a while since I've updated here so I figured I would give you all a run down of what I've been up to and where I am headed in regards to artwork and so on. So I've been out in California for about a year and a half now working at what has basically become my dream job. I'm tired alot and I likely work too much but I love it, honestly. Because of this, I've not had a ton of time for art. However, I've adjusted my schedule so that I am able to stream and draw most nights after work and a bit on my weekends when I am not absolutely wrecked. Usually it ends up being about an hour of vr workout stream, then three or so hours of art. Now that I am not dying from art burnout, I'm doing more and actually enjoying it again so I think the extended time away from it has helped tremendously.
Plans/ Goals
So basically since I no longer need to churn out commissions rapidly to earn a living, I've made some decisions regarding artwork and what I am doing with it. I have a handful of owed projects that I am finishing for people and a couple of small upcoming commissions coming up but other than that I am going to be limiting my overall commission work to nearly none for a while unless I really feel like doing one. To be blunt, I am not satisfied in the least with my artwork right now or how it's been in the past. I have sort of fallen into this strange stagnation regarding it and for the next while, I plan to fix that. And I have a rough plan and short term/long term goals to help me get there. I'm sorry for everyone that really wants art from me. I will be still doing occasional openings for ref sheets, smaller commissions, and ychs, maybe more collab work here and there but for the most part I want to focus on learning and experimenting. I'm tired of looking at what I do and being bored with it. I want to learn more techniques, improve my knowledge of the media I use and programs and I am also wanting to start playing with more style choices to branch out of the semi anime toony stuff and try new things. Essentially, I want to play with things. Alot. And to force myself out of my comfort zone, I'm not giving myself the opportunity to fall into old habits. To help with that, my wonderful mate is giving me weekly "Quests to complete" and I am going to be taking online classes/seminars. I haven't fully decided which I want to try so if anyone has any suggestions for ones that you've enjoyed or heard good things about, I'm all ears. I am leaning toward Gnomen workshops/masterclasses at the moment. I also have managed to snag several books thanks to a Humble sale for programing, various art and modeling programs, and art concepts. I don't think I am going to pursue college or any of that yet. I want to see how things go with this stuff first. Maybe in the future.
General goal/plan breakdown:
-Get back into daily gesture drawing
-Quests from Fi: Weekly assigned objectives given to make me try new things such as themes, challenges, and subject matter
-Study/Practice sessions before work: Reading and going through exercises based on the books I've gotten starting with CSP, LIVE2D, and Blender.
-Weekly art class/seminar/video watching and practicing applying concepts taught.
-Streaming practice/studies whenever possible on twitch or picarto

Lack of activity, maddness, possibly new job?
Posted 6 years agoAlrighty so I haven't posted much here this past week or so, for which I'm sorry. However, I ended up getting a job interview for basically one of my dream companies. That interview went VERY well and so now they are flying me out of town to meet them and the team in person in the main office this week so I've been scrambling to prepare for that both mentally and physically. I hope everyone forgives me for the lack of art posts. I do have several things to show you all once I am back <3
Questions about alcohol based markers (copics and such)
Posted 6 years ago Hey hey all! I am really wanting to nab a small set of copic markers or the off brand equivalent. I've never used them before and was wondering if anyone that has knows of any good tutorial recommendations or advice for them? Also, if there are off brands that are similar, which ones do you like and are decent to use?

so I've been doing a bunch of reading, looking around and overall trying to figure out what the fallout of Shinies may be. The only thing that I can really come up with is that people are using them as a currency similar to points on DA or Ko-fi coffees. Problem with doing that is that the donations on here go to the paypal category of "Friends and Family/ Donations" which means you can't use it as a means of paying for something (like artwork) without getting potentially jumped on by Paypal for tos violations.
There are a bunch of things coming up about the NSFW content stuff as well but honestly that shouldn't be something that paypal hits because technically if used correctly, you aren't buying the adult content with shinies, you are just putting dollars in the stripper's thong is all. (for lack of a better word)
Anyone have any specific information about this yet? Like actual account bans from Paypal or screenshots? For now I am disabling on this account just until we find out for sure whether the content is getting people nabbed by the paypal popo. I am no longer going to be doing things on Patreon for various reasons that I won't really go into lots of detail with here. Basically, Ko-fi is working for me better right now. I HIGHLY recommend disabling your pledges to me on Patreon before the end of the month because Patreon will probably still try to collect from you. I am disabling my account there but I can't promise that will stop the payments being taken. After much heming and hawing I've decided to go ahead with the creation of a business only fa account to keep all of my personal work and paid work separate as well as to make my branding uniform on all websites for easier accessibility for all of my followers and new viewers alike. YES I am still using this account, but eventually all of the commission work will be on the other page so that I can better feature work that I personally pay for and the artists that do them on here as well as showcase my collection of characters and personal comic/story work. This will likely be a long process and I'll be starting with the older stuff first so I'll continue to post my newly completed stuff here until I get everything else converted and organized. Posted 7 years agoWaking up for another long day of art! <3 Hope everyone had a good night. I did considering I managed to get a full night's sleep for once. \o/ whooo! Gunna be working on two big soft shade commissions today on stream. First, I'll be doing more Shading on the large Rylatha image for 
Jaherosa that I am absolutely pumped to do more on. Then I'll likely swap to the twins image I've been working on for 
lil-izzy to try and get those pretty boys finished up. I just need to finish the shading on Jac and then I can add in the background and they will be just about finished!
Also! I redid my trello yesterday and it is WAY WAY WAY better in every way. More organized, easier to read, more professional, and most importantly, more pretty which makes it more motivating for me to keep it updated and clean and so on. I've added a section for links to my discord, TOS, galleries, and both of my streams as well as an online offline tracker with the project I am currently doing. Also I added categories to the commission list section to make it easier for people to find themselves on the list, and for me to not be quite as intimidated by the list of stuff. Check it out here! I also added a Commission openings section as well. Eventually I'll list dates for when I'll be taking specific things.

Upcoming YCHs!
Posted 7 years agoThis is just a quick journal letting people know that I'll be posting two YCHs very soon! They will be auction based and themed around spring! Each will be open to any gender and most body types. The first is a single character pinup and the second is a multiple character not safe for work. <3 My little cat Mizu has to go in for an expensive surgery so all of the money from these will go toward helping to take care of her bills. The docs estimate that it will be around $1k USD for everything involved. Depending on how these two images go, I may offer up a third as well.
Adulting, Streams for the upcoming week, and what's new

It's been a busy few months. Whew. I am currently working my tush off to get through my current commission list so that I can try my hand at dealer's dens this year. Basically getting up to speed on how to handle out of state taxes and what to expect in an actual dealer's room table as opposed to Artist Alley. Super nervous about it, but I am going to give it my best shot. That said, I;m happy to announce that soon I will be offering prints of my work on InkedFur! So look forward to that. <3

My current plan is to try out the dealers Den at IndyFurCon and see how things go. I'll likely still try to get into the artist alley at MFF again as well because it was a great experience and I learned a ton as well as got to meet and draw for some wonderful people. I will also be attending TwitchCon and EveVegas this October so if anyone is planning to go to any of those, keep an eye out for me! I'll probably be the drunk pikachu of hyperness regretting all of her life choices lol.

This week streams will be starting a little later in the day around Noon CST and will likely run for 8-10 hours or so. I will not be streaming Friday because I'll be traveling to visit family out of state for the weekend.

Going forward, all commissioners will be asked to sign off on the TOS stating that they understand the conditions of buying my work. I am going to be starting to create timelapse videos of my work with the amazing music from my good friend Lumenent, who is a very talented up and coming EDM artist! Been a while since I've had a legit "this is what is happening in my life" journal. Figured this would be a very good time to do it. In recent news, I got a new furbaby, an adorable little kitty named Mizu. She's a rescue from an abusive family and her tail had to be amputated because of them. She happy and healthy now and a giant pest that I adore. I'll post pictures of her up soon! In other news, I will be attending Twitchcon this year so anyone heading that way in October, gimme a poke! I'd love to say hi!
As for changes with art, I am making some really large ones. Most importantly, I will be pulling away from Picarto. I will still stream on it, though I no longer have premium so no more multistreams unless someone else invites me. The reasons for this are many, but most importantly, I want to transfer to streaming predominantly on Twitch. Twitch is the company my mate works for as an admin and he is very passionate about it. I want to support that however I can. I also really want to help grow their art community in new ways. So Yes, adult Picarto streams will still happen. They will be frequent until my main list of commissions is cleared, but after that they will drop down to two days a week. I will however, stream the rest of the week on Twitch. I am sorry if this is sad news but for me it is super exciting. I just got my affiliation sub button with twitch, which is a great first step. I'll have emotes up very soon as well.
I also have several fun things planned for stream content, chances for free art, games you can play with me during the streams and other shenanigans to look forward to! I hope you are as excited to see what happens as I am! 8D

Ew it's gross outside
Posted 8 years agoCold and rainy after yesterday being mid 80s and perfect. The place has a really strange weather roller coaster thing going on. So, good time to bundle up and get some art done. I'll be doing some sketching for two traditional images and then streaming one of those images getting painted in acrylic on Picarto later today. Image one is for
fenrisulfr_wolf of his sona in fire fighter gear with some UV paint effects and the second is for blackfoxangel of her character dancing in the surf of the sea. <3I'll post ads when I am live. Have a good day all!
Commission Status and plans for the day

Been a while since I've posted a journal, figure that i should get on that lol. I am accepting a few commissions to prepare for next month's bills. Keep an eye out because I'll have a mini Price sheet up in the next day or so with pricing and deals and such.
We're steadily working through the to do list bit by bit (thank god) and I am churning out about two commissions a day now. Whoo~! Today I will be streaming after I snag some lunch/breakfast/obligatory sustenance with my mate. I'll be working on two images for
theothewolf, one is a ref sheet of his vampire dude, the other is a werewolf trashing some other supernatural critter like a wendigo or something to that degree.
I'll also be doing some sketches of a few upcoming commissions such as stuff for lil-Izzy, The rest of a ref sheet for 
fancyrat, and then lines for currently finished sketches.
Busy busy busy.

Sick as hell
Posted 8 years agoBlah. This is day four of me being sick. Caught some horrible bug from my mate who caught something from the kids he works with. x_x Sorry for the lack of streaming the past few days. I am going to be attempting to do some sort of shenanigans to transport my tablet and such to somewhere that I can both stay laying down and not have it directly sitting on me so that I can actually get something done. Most likely I won't be able to stay awake for very long, but I should be able to stream in small chunks which is better than nothing, I suppose.
No idea how long this is going to go on, but I am trying to burn through it quickly by inhaling as much liquid as I can and taking my meds and sleeping lots. I feel worse today, but hopefully that is just a sign that the end of it is close? That whole "It gets worse before it gets better" applies to illness too right? Right. So please forgive the delays and inconsistency thanks to my garbage immune system. Don't worry, I've been giving it a stern talking to and I am certain that it feels terrible about it.
