Im an old school Pokemon guy - seeing as I dont acknowledge the newer series's existence. XD so, id say charizard. Cus hes a fuckin dragon.

Looking back at my journals and submissions from when i first joined the Fandom up til now, its amazing how much ive actually changed.

You dont see it as its happening, but i advise everyone yo check out some of their oldest contributions to this site and see how far youve developed, be it Artistically, Socially or - as Im still discovering - sexually. XD

A lot of my life has been filled with other peoples opinions. Taking and cutting and sticking them together to create something that suits myself.

For the majority of my life - age 5 to 14 - i believed devoutly in God, Jesus and Christianity. My views were manipulated. Moulded into a total belief that Good, Christian people who never swear, make fun of other people or sing "Highway to Hell" will go to heaven, and those who did went straight to hell eternal damnation hallelujah amen.
And it worked.

Then my dad died.

Cancer. Your own body going haywire and killing you slowly. Imagine it - why would God allow such a thing to happen?
So i became an atheist. This seemed right to me. It allowed me to do the things i wanted without fear of hell - or heaven. I discovered my Bisexuality. I found the Furry Fandom. My mind was opened to the wonderful things and people my "religion" had blinkered me from.
And this, also, worked.

But then, about a month ago, i literally came to "love my neighbour".
His name is Daniel. He just turned 34, and he has the nicest family ive ever met - apart from my own. Id known him years, he teaches me the guitar. He knew my dad, and the two of them were very close.

And he, like his whole family, is Christian.
But not the kind of Christian i used to be. He doesn't believe in church. He thinks its a way to control the believers and make a profit. He doesnt believe in converting people. He doesnt think that god punishes human beings because they have unprotected sex, masturbate, listen to heavy metal - christ, his best friends are in a metalcore band - dont believe in Religion or occassionally tease each other.

He believes that there are only two rules to "the right way to live". Love god. Love thy neighbour. He believes that god loves us all, and that he wants us to be happy, and as long as that doesnt hurt someone else, anything goes.

So okay. His way of life is wonderful. But its still hard to believe that god and jesus really existed. And if they do, why do they let horrible things happen?

After about four weeks of serious philosophical discussion, Daniel told me that my dad used to talk to him in the same way i do. I was there. I know he was telling the truth.
And now, almost as though some, higher power commended it to be, here i was, in exactly the same position talking about exactly the same thing.

One thing i havent told you about Daniel is that he is a psychologist, and last night he spoke to me about my dads death.

I dont speak about it.
He asked me how i felt. I said it just kinda rolled off me.
And then i realised what i had just said. My own father had died, practically in front of my eyes, i had seen his body the next morning and all i could say was it just rolled over me.

So daniel asked me if he could pray for me. I thought, no harm in trying. So, hand on my shoulder, he did so, out loud.

Logical RJ: this guys talking to no one. This is awkward.
My Heart: that sure is a wierd feeling your getting in your chest though. Like you want to laugh, but you dont know why?

He prayed for me. He prayed that i would be healed of the emotions i have hidden about my dads death. He prayed that i would make true of my destiny. And i wanted it.
I wanted the faith. I want to see what its all like.

And then it finished, and i left, because we'd been talking for over three hours and it was one in the morning.

He asked "god" to send me three signs during the week. If i saw them, then maybe i could believe. I said to him before i left, " i reckon one day, itll just hit me like a big golden truck". We laughed. I went home.

Walking back from school today?

Three yellow lorries passed me as i waited for the crossing.

My dad kept a diary. After he died, i found a passage about my neighbours.

"Through them, I am so glad i have seen the true christian faith"

Its time to make my mind up.

If all goes well, i shall be uploading some new artwork in the next week. A good thing about steeeeeeee - yupidly long hiatuseseses is that its given me a bit of time to develope my style further.

All im saying is, im lookin at this pic ive just done of Loki, and - never being the modest type - im fuckin impressed with myself. XD

Finally reached eighteen, and have just got back from possibly the greatest meal ive ever had. Plus a tad drunk, seeing as ive discovered im a cocktail kinda guy ;)

That time of year when i finally grow one year closer to death. XD nah, im pretty fuckin excited. I DEMAND COOKIES! :D

Birmingham Gay Pride festival - I went with some friends and I can sum up My experience in three points:

1.) Absolutely fantastic feeling of being socially accepted and proud of being Gay/Bisexual.

2.) Walking around the entire of birmingham with an LGBT Flag hanging from my back pocket - Yeah, I got checked out. :P

3.) I wore a cute hoody with pikachu markings and ears all day!

Now, I feel absolutely great, and Now I've decided I want a hoody with Fox ears.

WARNING: GUITAR BASED JARGON AHEAD.

Hey everyone! No, I'm not dead! I know, I'm surprised myself.

Just wondering about something, that any guitarists out there in the fandom might be able to help me figure out.

I recently bought a second hand Aria Pro II Les Paul, shiny black, cream banding, absolutely gorgeous and sounds like a treat.

Anyway, It came with 9 gauge or 11 gauge strings on, and I wanted 8 gauge. So, I went and changed the strings which inevitably caused some fret buzz and a horribly over sensitive neck (in terms of pitch bend when the neck is touched, etc.) I dropped the guitar in so it suited the strings, but apparently I need to put higher gauge strings on to completely fix the fret buzz.

This is not a problem, as I am practically professional at re-stringing guitars. XD However, with the current 8 gauge set up, the fret buzz is fixed but the neck pitch bending isn't. Now, okay, i do have to apply some force to the neck now, but it still seems much more sensitive than my old Squier Strat's neck.

Just wondering if this is normal, anything to worry about or - if it is a problem - how to fix it.

Maybe, anyway.

As it happens, we were walking home from school and suddenly, without much warning, he collapses in my arms. So i make sure he's still alive and sure enough, he's still breathing, but he's shaking and having real difficulty. So I ask him "Do you need an ambulance?" and he squeezes my hand to say yes. So I stand up and run to the nearest house - No, the doors gated off and I can't get in. So I run over, pick him up and support him over to the nearby pub, to try and get a phone with battery - my mobile had none.

But the pub was shut. Thankfully, a student at my school was walking past and I asked if I could use his phone for an emergency. He more than helpfully agreed and in seconds I was talking to the ambulance service as a random passer by (who said he was a medic, who knows if he really was?) made sure my friend stayed awake.

About two minutes later, the ambulance appeared and none too soon. My friend had begun fitting and having real trouble breathing. So the paras - who were amazing and reinstated my trust in the NHS - made sure he was okay, then we got him into the ambulance and he asked for me to come with him. A quick phone call to his mom and dad, and a short trip later, he was sitting up in a hospital bed after making a full recovery and his parents gave me a lift home.

That's my good turn today, I suppose, but It was terrifying. I genuinely thought he was going to die. :/

Be honest. I know it's a shit show but last night I reckon at least half the UKFurs on here tuned in.

To those of you who don't know, Peaches "I'm-famous-cus-my-dad-is" Geldof takes a look at fetishes, lifestyle choices and just plain interesting things in her new show, "OMG! With Peaches Geldof."

And inevitably, last night came the turn of US! YAY!

That's right, furries were investigated and interviewed, and they even had a fursuiter on the show called... NightWing I think? I only caught the last ten minutes of the show, so I'll watch a repeat when it's on. XD

But On behalf of the furry fandom, May i say that WHOO! They loved us! The audience loved us, the public loved us, and my god, even the hosts and a drunken Dom Joly loved us! And the five furries they had on the show were a pride of the fandom, explaining the many quirks and "Different levels" absolutely perfectly.

Maybe we're becoming more socially acceptable? Or maybe they'll just hate us more. Either way, a lot of people came away happy from that otherwise terrible show - and for once, not in the expected way that furries come away happy from things.

I love this community. :D
