Posted 6 years agoSo I've decided that until further notice I won't be doing commissions. This is due to 1) lack of interest and 2) new source of income. I'm now working half-time and could be working full-time once a position opens up at my workplace.

Unpopular Opinion: E621 and Sharing Art is Great
Posted 6 years agoSo as a more amateur artist, not nearly good enough to be accepted onto one of those pay sites, I love it when I see my art (as well as my commissioned pieces) shared elsewhere. It's a sign that people care enough about it.
Also a good chunk of my favorite artists now, I would never have learned about if not for seeing their work on e621 or some Telegram channel. If I have given an artist money, there's a good chance it's because of e621.
That and sometimes I get insights from those who are more blunt. I appreciate blunt over sugarcoating tbh.
Anyway, as for work I have created myself, it's under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) license. So you can do what you like with it as long as you share it with that license and don't try to make money off of it.

Update (good and bad news)

Bad: Was permanently suspended from YouTube without warning, going from good standing to permabanned in a few minutes.
Good: Am generally better psychologically.
Bad: Job is too tiring for me to spend my spare time drawing.

I decided on some lore for my OCs
Posted 7 years agoSo, how do we reconcile meat eating in an anthro universe?
Simple: Parallel universes! There are an infinite number of parallel universes, and this one just so happens to have humanoid creatures that resemble anthropomorphic animals thought up by us on Earth!
This will also explain how characters based on egg-laying animal classes such as birds, reptiles, and fish, can have breasts and uteri, which obviously are features associated with mammals.
As for tentacle monsters, they are parasitoids that rely on certain hosts to reproduce their species. Some of these parasitoids have their hosts reproduce through live birth and others through eggs.
Anyway I may consider doing more writing to flesh out a universe for my characters. There are only a few things I have deemed canon so far.

2. Bijou lives in France and therefore she is unlikely to be associated with the other characters frequently.

Posted 7 years agoSo, for 2019 I have only three resolutions but they're big ones.
1. Be kind to others, even if you don't particularly like them.
In my case, that would mean actively trying to make the life of my mom easier, not expressing a sour attitude when dealing with bad service, learning to be patient, etc.
2. [b]Spend your time wisely.[b]
In my case, that would mean choosing a different, more helpful default existence than just shitposting online. I must actively look for things to do and do them. I also need to set routines, getting up and going to bed more or less the same time each day and night, eating my meals more or less at the same times each day, keeping up to-do lists, etc.

Self-explanatory.

Am finally certified as a teaching assistant but now on a quest to find a job. I've been getting better at job interviews but still nothing yet.

I’m finally able to finish my owed work!
Posted 7 years agoOkay, so I’m pretty sure that at least some people know that I have work I owe people from over a year ago. I wasn’t able to get to it because I was doing an ongoing mental health rehabilitation project involving getting off toxic social media platforms, getting out more, and finally learning to get along with my mother.
I have also been in the process of getting certified for special education and in the mean time I plan to become certified as a teaching assistant to do work and make money while I continue my primary certification.
You may have noticed that I’ve been posting my own art. That’s the result of this year or so of mental health rehab. I can finally wake up before noon and go to sleep before 2 am. I can remember to make my bed and floss and other things that normal people take for granted. I can take advice from my mother without assuming ulterior motives or conspiracies.
So I am finally going to get done with my owed work!

Was banned from Twitter for a few too many hot takes. That being said, being off Twitter is helping me tremendously with my mental health as I'm not constantly surrounded by bad takes and drama. I'm probably not going to make a Mastadon account because I feel like it would make it even worse. My mental health is bad enough from being on social media for a decade.
I got a job! I'm working all summer as a camp counselor. After my first pay day, I might do a raffle for some higher-end commission if I get a slot.
Sadly, I could not go to Anthrocon because I had to report to work those days. Considering MFF though, using the money I made from my camp counselor job.
Anyway, my sleep and energy levels are getting better. I'm eating more healthy these days. My diet is more or less ovo-vegetarian now. And I got my fursuit and I like it a lot! Getting used to the heat though. Is vvv hot.
