Economy lately has been awuful, I know, stuff has been going on of which I really don’t desire to talk about. We all know, we all have been living it.

But alas, I am a full time artist and I really need to eat. So I will give you all the ways (paying and free to play) you can really support me (or any artist you like).

For starters, I have commissions open. This is the expensive but fastest way you can really help me out with my living, bills, feeding my cat, getting groceries, clothes and all the basic stuff a human needs to live and survive this world we live in. You can get your commission through my vGen, or send a DM to my Bluesky or any other media you can find me on (like NewGrounds or Furaffinity). I had open DMs on Twitter but each and every day I had at least ten bots in my box trying to scam me and I got really tired of it so, not an option anymore.

Then we have Patreon. I really wish to be more active there but commissions are my first way of income so I really need you to take a leap of faith there. It's a monthly subscription that gives you access to my whole art library, my discord server and a lot of content that I don't post on media, like my OC's stories, chats about my day, and practical jokes. Eventually I plan to draw more minicomics and short stories, and try to make more patreon exclusive art (tho actually a lot of my unfinished work is there) but for that to happen I would need to get a good number of patrons to be able to span out the number of commissions I need to take every month. Prices are 3USD and 5USD monthly, with 5USD you also get the .PSD and Timelapses of my original artworks.

If you don't really have the motivation to pay monthly, or the means to ask for commissions, a good alternative is Ko-fi. I just opened one after a lot of thought around it. It's a simple tipping page. You can pay for a "coffee" and the money just goes straight to my PayPal. Kind of a "good job kiddo, keep going" thing. You can do a single payment, from the simbolic coffee to a large sum of money (tho I don't think I will ever get a 2k tip haha, I'm just wishing here) and then just keep at your life. If you have spare money, Ko-fi is a good option to help out your artists and don't sweat about the money.

And finally, the F2P method. Just interact with my art. Being here, Twitter, Bluesky, Furaffinity, Newgrounds, wherever you find me and my art, just like, comment, repost, even saving it into your markers will help. Algorithm is abusive these days, and if people don't engage on the content, it really feels like everything we're doing goes to waste. It's simple to push a couple buttons, even if you only push "like". It gives us hope, motivation. We shouldn't be worrying about the numbers but it's the numbers what gives us the money we need to live from the art we love making. Sad but true. Share our art with others, spread the word and the art (and the sexyness) to the whole world. That much is free (for now, at least).

I used to have instagram but it really wasn't working, and then I had a TikTok but I can barely do art to, on top of it, have to do all that requires to keep up the rythm of tiktok content creating... Also we have to mention that every single video I tried to post after my first one got banned so my account got thrown into the abyss forever and now I only use it to watch memes and cat edits...

In fact I am, but I've had a couple of rough weeks and I absolutely needed a break but not of this kind.

Everything seems to be in order again so I expect to be able to work on comms and all the stuff I need to do for patreon this month.

I want to embark on new projects, but I still don't know how to approach the majority of them, I hate being a scaredy cat when it becomes to my personal stuff. I think I get too much into my own head and I want to do the project thinking if anyone would like it even tho I KNOW I should do it only because I want to.

Projects are supposed to be enjoyable, not marketable... I want to take that capitalist thinking out of my mind but it's been chiseled into my brain for so many years that I really need to work on that.

My little baby cat died yesterday. He was just about to turn 3 years old.

He climbed were he shouldn't have and injured his leg. We went to the vet and they sutured him alright. He woke up at the vet and... and he had a cardiac arrest. They couldn't save him...

Living on the other side of the world from that stupid cheeto with cheddar cheese on top (you know, that senile old orange man, you know who he is) and being affected by his stupidity.

His laws and his "silly games" affect the price of my daily grocery list. With the flick of his finger the whole world stops breathing in case it means the start of a war.

Man, that's crazy.

And we can't even do anything, because the society has numbed us to the bone, and it has educated us into obedience and silence, so even if we want to rise up, we don't even know where to start.

So strange.

Well if you aren't aware of the state of the world, I guess it's time for you to get out from under that rock.

As a Full Time Artist I've been struggling to find commissioners and work, I can't blame them, we're on a crisis everywhere and art is actually a luxury. I've been so lucky until now that I can find so many good people who want to take some of their money and give me their awesome characters to draw so I can eat another day.

The thing is:
Social media is being constantly censored so it doesn't spread content freely
Not to talk about how NSFW content has been shadowbanned from most of the social media and internet in general
The world is entering another economic regression, so creative jobs and other non-essencial stuff will suffer first

So, as artists, as clients, as a person who just enjoys art on a daily basis:

What do you recommend to do from here? What can we artists do to survive this? Have you found some place were you think you can thrive through this challenging times? Do you know any place where artist and clients can interact and be actually seen by others without fighting algorithms or AI?

NewGrounds has been working more as a forum than as a hiring place, it's nice tho

I can't get interactions, I can't get connections to real people. Anywhere I go is bots, scams, invisibility cloak(?).

I'm so tired of how the world is out of control and it makes me so frustrated, because I chose to be an artist, is what I want to do. I don't need to sulk in agonizing regret for not choosing some other career like laws or medicine or programming.

I'm not even trying to whine about it or even plead for work. I literally break my back and ass working each and every day to make content, keep up on commissions, participate on communities, trying to interact with my (mostly) silent patrons. I'm absolutely burnt out (roasted, ha-ha) and I can't afford to even take a break because if I do so, I won't be able to pay my rent next month. That's just life for most artists and content creators I know.
