Not dead yet
Posted 3 years agoI've been working on "Tehen's Hunger" off and on, and a direct sequel to it that <gasp> isn't really very smutty. I know, I'm surprised too. But it's been fun to work on, and I hope to bring it to a reasonable conclusion soon. "Ohana Acres" will show up soon in WIPs, but not today. I want to clean up the front matter a bit and also fix (and maybe complete) "Tehen's Hunger" in the next little while.
Other than that, life keeps going on.

It's been quite a ride
Posted 3 years agoWelp, I has a sad. I know it's been a while, but I finally caught up last night and finished season 9 of MLP:FIM. While I still have a fondness for the ORIGINAL pilot, there's no question that FIM was the best iteration by a huge margin. Nothing is perfect, and there were plenty of forgettable episodes, but there were also plenty that were inspired. I guess I need to hurry up and finish my story (that I started part-way through season 1). I'll miss you guys. Keep the lights on in the dream realm, and...thanks.

Posted 4 years agoOn a lark, I was going to register, but apparently they're still invite-only. If one of the three people out there that might actually read this can send one, I'd appreciate an invite. It would be helpful to me to be able to organize some of my various characters. If you need my Email, note me, I'd rather not post it publicly, even obscured...I get enough junk mail already.

Old and getting older
Posted 4 years agoWelp, another trip around the sun and not dead yet. Up to level 54 so far.
Tried a new cake this year, and it turned out great, even though I broke it coming out of the pan.
https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/re.....nd-cake-recipe
I found the coffee flavor (I don't drink the vile liquid unless I'm 95% dead) a bit strong, but next time I'll use 2 tablespoons of KAB's Espresso Powder instead of 3.

Upload WIPs?
Posted 5 years agoGood morning!
I've got a ton of WIPs that range from "nearly-done" to "train wreck in progress." Would there be interest in seeing these? Some are pretty good (and I think I know where they're going), and some are probably DOA but still might be worth strip-mining for ideas. On a side note, I'm not going to get peeved if someone swipes any of these ideas. I wrote them in the first place because I wanted to see them come to (imaginary) life. If someone else wants to have a go, I'm happy as long as I get to see it. -:)

Short funny story
Posted 6 years agoOpal and I have a friend (Deb) who lives out in the country with a bunch of dogs, cats, two horses, and a donkey. Well, the sad part is that Spicy the 30-year-old donkey had a stroke, suffered nerve damage, and had to be put down on Friday. It was sad, but she knew it was time, and walked free of her body and on into the next world. Sunday Opal and I went up to mourn Spicy (and have lunch), and plant some flowers on her grave. Every time I visit, I take a little while to groom the hoofers, sadly this time around not including Spicy, but I still had the mares Angel and Baby Doll (the young and skittish) to take care of. So, took out the bag of carrots, attacked them with the soft brush (both are in pretty good shape, and it's not been wet enough for them to get muddy). One of the last things I always do is to clean their teats, and the skin folds around them, because they get awfully grotty with dead skin, sweat, mud, fly poop, etc.
So, I just finished wiping down Angel with a damp baby wipe, and start to do the same to Baby Doll (who's actually standing still for the moment). We were both surprised when she squirted milk on my hand! Here's the funny part. When I told Opal this last night, the FIRST thing she asked me was, "How did it taste?" She knows me too well. The answer is, "salty," but that could have been sweat as much as anything. Regardless, that made for a pleasant end to the weekend!

Experimental version of The Heavy Petting Zoo
Posted 6 years agoGood afternoon.
I've converted the text and structure of The Heavy Petting Zoo to Twine, and placed an in-progress version on itch.io. There are formatting and content changes that I'm still working on, but the story SHOULD be complete and functional. Please give it a poke, especially if you weren't able to access it properly on WdC, and let me know if you find anything that's broken or could be improved. I have another commission to work on, but I'll keep adding to the HPZ change/bugfix list and will update it periodically.

It's exciting to me that I've finally been formally commissioned and completed the project. The link should be on top of my page, or if you go to the Commissions folder it'll be the only thing in there (so far). I enjoyed working on the project for
rin-kun, and look forward to future work. And yes, I'm still available for more such, but my primary focus at the moment is finishing the TWINE conversion of The Heavy Petting Zoo for alternate upload (once I decide on where to host it).

Working away from WdC
Posted 6 years agoWell, as anyone who's tried to read Interactive Stories on Writing dot Com recently knows, they're heavily restricted for non-paying users. It's absurd to make folks pay to read user-submitted content, so I'm working to pull my work off there before my current sub expires. The biggest thing is The Heavy Petting Zoo, which I'm slowly Twine-ifying, even though I still can't host it from here. If anyone knows a good place TO host that kind of content (HTML or ZIP archive), please let me know.
In addition, I've just ported over my (previously) unique piece, Growing the Herd, a fictionalization of another Interactive Story on WdC. Hopefully y'all will enjoy it. Goats!

I can has Tumblr
Posted 7 years agoGood morning.
I was just thinking about how after fleeing LiveJournal to Dreamwidth, I had literally not seen a single post...from anyone. I don't think I broke it, but there's not really any point to have something that I don't use or that doesn't work. What I needed was a place to blog once in a while...and it hit me that I already HAD a Tumblr ( http://rochndil.tumblr.com/ ). So since I already have it I'll just start making USE of it - cryptic interface or no. I'll be posting a few things there that aren't quite relevant to FA, as well as cross-posting a few bits from here. Feel free to follow me there, though I'm not sure where I'm going either, so YMMV.

What the heck am I DOING?
Posted 7 years agoGood afternoon.
Believe it or not, while I haven't posted anything here in ages, I am actually busily working on stuffs. The trouble is getting anything to a sufficiently FINISHED state to post it. The writing part is (usually) fun, but the proofing/editing/proofing some more part is rather dull. So here's a quick list of what's in the pipeline:
The Other Wet Dream - This one of the "weird" ones. What happens when you take shower thoughts and mix them with dawning AI and lots of mares? Probably about half-drafted.
Whose Dream is it Anyway? - Actually a semi-sequel (or at least kissing cousin) of TOWD, but more compact and probably closer to being finished. Main story complete in first draft. May add a bit of detail here and there. Camel!
Feeding Mother - The latest addition. I was about almost 25k words into this story before the MC finally told me what the HECK was going on. That solved, I at least know where it's going, though how long it'll take to get there is unclear. There's a moose in this one. -:)
The Heavy Petting Zoo - I periodically pull this up and throw a new chapter or two onto the pile. If you haven't visited before, you might enjoy it. Probably my largest word-count story available online.
Marian's Road - Huge chapter titled "Lunar Passage" has been written for ages, but never finished or cleaned up yet. I started noodling it around season 2 of MLP:FiM for reference. If I ever get it finished up and integrated, that might put Marian's Road in the lead.
Goat Seduction - Not sure where this one is going, I lost the idea thread part-way in. The goat of his dreams!
Sequel to Growing the Herd, the rest of Marian's Road, the re-write of Journeying Within, and all the rest are still out there, along with a collection of shorts and bit-pieces that may never see the light of day. Time is, of course, always the limiting factor.

Heavy Petting Zoo Cameo
Posted 8 years agoAs some of you probably know already, I have a large sex-themed Interactive Story (choose-your-own path thingy) called The Heavy Petting Zoo over on Writing.com. Here's an explanatory link so you have some idea what I'm talking about:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20141600/
It's been a while since I've added new chapters, so I thought why not see if anyone is interested in being written in? Do you have a female character you'd like to participate (no males/herms, sorry). Anyone who volunteers will be a "Lady" of the house (yes, they're whores), and engage in smexy goings-on with the generic male protagonist.
Below is a list of as-yet-unnamed characters. I can, of course, add folks to the story that don't already exist. If you have someone to "volunteer," let me know! I'll be happy to write them in (I'll need to know all the standard stuff: species/coloration/clothing/marks etc., plus desired kinks/activity). A lot of the characters already there are from elsewhere in my story-worlds or are personal characters of mine and
Opal's.
Red Panda (N)
Camel (U)
Elephant (S)
Centaur (S)
Goat-taur (S)
Mare (S)
Cow & Goat (E)
Donkey (E)
Pegasus (E)
Pig (W)
The direction indicator just reminds me WHERE they are in the story.
Heck, if you want to sign up for a membership, feel free to take up an open thread and write something yourself - I love seeing what other folks can do. If writing isn't really your thing, give it a shot anyways and I'll clean up the entry without losing your flavor.
Rochndil, who really should add a chapter or two every once in a while...

Fake udder research
Posted 8 years agoYep, I'm serious. I've looked around, and haven't seen anything available, but my Google-fu may be falling short. If you know anybody who knows anybody that can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.
It's no secret that I have a huge breast/udder fetish (gasp, say it ain't so!), and while there are LOTS of other kinds of "toys" out there, I've yet to see an udder of any kind available.
Ideally I'd like a full-size realistic silicone version (weighted), but that may be too fantastic to exist in this world. Failing that, some good information about making one out of fabric (and a bucket of poly-beads) would be helpful. Or, similar resources about making fake-but-real-feeling breasts for cosplay, or the other kind of play, would also be really useful. I'm especially curious about fabric and padding choices to get the feel as realistic as possible (I do have some knowledge and experience, and access to a professional toymaker).
I may never actually get around to actually making this, but who knows? If it lives, I'll take pictures and share information.
Rochndil, who is weird, yes, and working on an even weirder story...

Commissions
Posted 9 years agoAfter about four tries, the first of which COMPLETELY ERASED THE WHOLE THING, I finally got a commission page up. Other than work-for-friends and the like, nobody has ever actually commissioned me, so it'll be interesting to see how that shakes out. I don't have a set price list, but if you give me a good idea of what you have in mind, I'll be happy to think it over and give you a quote. Smaller stuff I can turn around pretty quickly, but if you want a 50k story, it'll obviously take a while.
FWIW, I can tell you that the whole process will go a lot smoother if you take a little time on your end and think through what you want. It's alway vastly easier to discuss something if you have a clear vision of it in your head. Murky half-considered ideas usually take some care and nurturing before they're concrete enough to do anything with.
My stories here and on WdC are the best example of what I do well (other than the boring technical stuff I do for a living). If you're not familiar with my work, have a look around. What you get will probably be similar. If that ain't your thing, no problem! Move on and find someone who's a better fit. It's better to invest time (for both of us) when the outcome is likely to be positive.

Looking for a movie
Posted 9 years agoGreetings!
I was just reminded of this movie, which I saw only a very small part of, but would like to find and actually watch.
It was years and years ago, and I cannot recall the reason I saw so little of it. This was, of course, in the days long before movie streaming! I think I was cable-flipping, and just happened to land on one of those teen-coming-of-age flicks. I have no idea how far into the story I started. There was a group of teens talking/bantering/flirting on the lawn before a school (not sure if HS or college, but probably the former), possibly a girl with thick-rimmed glasses, and I distinctly remember shots of a frilly brassiere (which may be out-of-context).
The next scene, however, is the one I remember well, and would VERY much like to see in its entirety. A male student shows up for what he thinks will be extra credit/tutoring with his teacher. She's a big, brunette, very sexy (to me) lady, and while undoing her top (can't remember if it was tied, buttoned, or what), she says, "I'm so glad you came to me with this." or words close to that effect. Sexy teacher undressing/seduction? Sign me up!
Considering the time period (probably mid-90s), and the fact that it's almost certainly an American production, I have confidence it's a movie and NOT a TV show, which should help narrow it down considerably. With a few notable exceptions (Porky's!), this isn't a genre I know well, so it MIGHT actually be something fairly non-obscure.
If anyone has an idea what movie this might be, please let me know!

An unusual dream fragment
Posted 9 years agoFirst off, let me state that this journal may be triggery for abuse victims. If you are one, you might want to avoid reading the rest.
Proceeding on? OK!
I don't usually remember a lot of my dreams. That realm rarely needs to communicate with this one, and usually keeps its own confidence. MOST of what I remember are fragments of the usual post-processing of the day's data, most of which can be traced back to specific sources (games, videos, books, music, personal experiences, etc).
Occasionally, though, something unusual happens.
The other morning, I was sleeping in a bit (or as much as the dogs will let me). I was having a late-dream (the kind closer to waking mind) about some kind of weird job I was working. Most of the details are muddy, but there were other anthro people there. At one point, someone who I do not have a visual memory of, but who was clearly identified as a "cow" said the following, very clearly. "I am going to rape you." Oh, and no, I never did get to see what the cow meant by that, what was left of the dream fell apart about that time, and it's never come back since.
(aside)That's the trigger, sorry if I offended anyone. And, let me note clearly that I'm a firm believer of no-means-no, fully consenting adults, etc. I would neither inflict myself on a lady, nor condone anyone else doing something similar. The quote may have come from somewhere in my subconscious, but isn't something "I" would ever say, think, or do.(/aside)
Now, this is where it gets interesting. As a huge cow/bovine fan, there's literally no action that I can think of (barring bathroom play or torture/pain) that a cow (female implied) could do to me that I wouldn't enjoy. I mean, I write and fantasize about this stuff! So what does it mean? What's the message? I'm really not sure. Perhaps more importantly, I'm not sure how to USE this in a story. What's the point in getting cryptic messages from beyond the veil of waking if you can't even repurpose them into story fodder?
Frustrating as it is, I may never figure it out OR have the opportunity to make use of it. Oh well, sometimes things just DON'T work out.

Anime suggestions?
Posted 9 years agoGood afternoon!
I've been out-of-touch with the Anime world for quite some time (like, 10+ years), but thanks to a recent Netflix subscription, I'm watching some again. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time locating stuff I really enjoy. I'm quite certain folks out there know a lot more about the subject than I, so, what should I be watching?
What I would REALLY like to find is something along the lines of Wicked City (Yôjû toshi), which comes the closest I've seen to showing actual UnBirth (twice!). I'm totally not a prude, and have zero problem watching multi-x-rated material, but I'd like to see some of my actual interests represented (UB, BE, pregnancy, breastfeeding and the like), instead of just generic sex/tentacle hentai.
I'm also not at all adverse to a really good story, since I'm always looking for new ideas/characters/situations to steal.
Recently, I've seen the following:
Monster Musume, Season 1. I've seen all 12 episodes, and other than twitching every time the male lead is referred to as "master" I enjoyed it. Is it just me, or is there a theme in anime, where the first episode/pilot comes
out, and "we're going to make a show about sex" and then as the series goes on it changes to "we were going to talk about sex, but here's some rom-com instead."
Fairy Tale, season 1. Not bad, though I can already see issues with "power creep" and the endless fighting gets old after a while.
Seven Deadly Sins. I watched the show JUST to see what Lust was like, and when I finally met him, it was a tremendous disappointment...until I began to like the character. Not bad, slow to start, and too many confusing reversals/reveals. The end (of this season) was better than expected.
Sword Art Online, Season 1. Ehh, saw my bro recommending this, so I took a peek. Walked away after 5-6 episodes because of vague story and WAY too much PVP vs. PVE. I like the idea (very similar to Tad Williams' _Otherland_), but the implementation was all over the map.
Heaven's Lost Property, Season 1. I just started this last night, and it's OK, but not great. About 6 episodes in, and it's not really clear where the story is going. Not nearly as much T&A as I expected from the "mature" tag, and I'm not a huge fan of the whole "master" schtick. I do have an ongoing interest in the evolution of machine intelligence, so that's holding my interest for now.
So, to the three or four people out there who might actually see this, any suggestions?

An Interactive Story, finally!
Posted 10 years agoGreetings!
This is a project I started a couple of years back, and never got very far with. Eventually, I had an idea to take those pieces and integrate them into this current work, based on an even older pun!
The Heavy Petting Zoo is a whorehouse set in Shaunavon, the main town of my Marian's Road world (which you'll see in the story eventually). Configured as an Interactive Story on Writing.com, I've set up the frame, and am slowly adding individual branches as I go. Since it IS an interactive story, you can also add material if you wish. Please read the front matter if you plan to do so.
The server may restrict access to non-members, but membership is free and pretty simple to do.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know, here or there!

Something new!
Posted 11 years agoGreetings.
While I am still working on Marian's Road and Lunar Passage (which will be both a chapter and a stand-alone story), I also take occasional detours into smaller projects. Here's one of them, my first Writing.Com exclusive piece:
http://www.writing.com/main/view_it.....owing-the-Herd
It's based on an Interactive Story by another writer, but I took some liberties with it and added on to the end. A sequel is also in the works.

A nifty new tool: yWriter5
Posted 11 years agoGood morning!
I just happened upon this program the other day, and so far I've been quite impressed. yWriter is a novel/fiction project writing/outline/management tool. It helps organize a larger writing project (I'm currently working on importing "Marian's Road").
What I find most useful is that it has built-in lists of characters, locations, etc. You can use these, in conjunction with its "project" reporting tools, to see who is in any given scene, where it takes place, and even what time it happened. I'm still getting used to the program, and expect it will take me a while before I learn all of its features and how best to use them.
Even now, though, I've already found it extremely useful to help PLAN work that I haven't completed yet. For example, there's a critical chapter of "Marian's Road" I haven't written. BUT, I can put the chapter structure, and even the specific as-yet-unwritten scenes into the larger project, with all the appropriate planning notes, etc. You could sketch out the structure of an entire story, and then go in and write individual scenes as you might be inspired, without losing sight of your overall plan. Heck, I'll get a lot of use out it just remembering all my character names for me! :)
The program is available FREE from this site: http://www.spacejock.com/yWriter5.html
The author happily accepts donations, and offers bonuses for COMPLETELY OPTIONAL program registration. If you're working on (or planning) a larger writing project, I think you will find this useful. Happy writing!

Do I enjoy Xmas? Not so much.
Posted 11 years agoIt's funny, Opal was just giving me grief about how I'm a grinch/scrooge last night. Every year, she gets all happy about Xmas, and I grump because of all the extra work I have to do. Putting up the tree, putting up the lights, baking, cooking, shopping, wrapping, cleaning, packing, travel, etc. - and that's in addition to my day job. By the time I GET to Xmas, I'm usually exhausted.
THIS year, we're having EVEN MORE fun. The "new" car broke down, and I've been running around all week sourcing parts and making arrangements to spend (probably) the entire weekend working on it with my brother-in-law (whose help I REALLY appreciate, as there's no way I could pull the head myself). And on top of that, we had a pipe spring a leak, which resulted in destruction of the laundry room ceiling AND the bathroom floor upstairs. The bathroom, at the very least, needs to be fixed before our company arrives on Friday. AND THEN, we're off to Asheville to house-sit for my mother-in-law for a week over the holiday, so all the pre-trip planning/organizing/packing has to be done by Wednesday.
SO, basically, I work a full day, then come home, fix supper, and spend the entirety of my evening working on the house until I need to hit the sack for the morrow. Do I look forward to Xmas? No, I really can't say I do.
On the up side, as of today (barring unforseen circumstances), I should have all the parts and arrangements for the car repair ready. The bathroom floor/trim/cabinet re-install should be completed tonight, as should un-cat-ing the other bathroom (it's been the primary cat domicile since the spring). Related to that, I did get the new outlet and night-light installed in the laundry room last night, despite bizarre and annoying wiring challenges. The rest of the house prep (cleaning, vacuuming, etc.), as well as possible paperwork (tag and towing rebate) should be accomplished tomorrow (when I take a use-it-or-lose-it personal day). Saturday and Sunday will be car work, and then final prep. for the holiday and (assuming the car works!) travel to Asheville. THEN I can finally rest a bit.
