Well, its been a while since I last posted a journal here.

I seem to be doing better now, though, its going to be some time before I'm 100% better.

Well, things are not going to well for me lately, health-wise.

I have no idea how I got this, but, I will be doing all I can to get better while being on antibiotics.

If things do get really bad, I'll try to have someone keep you updated.

Well guys, I'm in not in very good shape right now.

Well, it appears that I have achieved a new milestone on FA today.

I must say, it is quite impressive to see that my page has been viewed that many times since I first started submitting stuff here two years ago.


A big thank you to all of you who have watched me, faved stuff, added something I created to a group, left good comments, or simply felt my FA page was worth looking at.

Well, it looks like yesterday marked the official end of an American classic.

The last Ford Crown Victoria to ever be produced, rolled off the assembly line in St Thomas, ON, Canada, yesterday, at 12:30 PM EDT.


While I have never driven one of these cars, (except in video games), I can't help but feel a bit bummed, as this car takes good photos, some of which earned me new friends, watches, and faves on FA.

While this marks the end of seeing any new crown vics, many still have years of life left in them, and will continue to drive our streets for many years to come, both in service and civilian use.

When you have time today, take a moment or two to honor those who lost their lives in the attacks of 9/11. 10 years ago, today.

Also, take a moment to think about our police, fire, EMS, and military, who are out there every day.

As you may have noticed, I have been posting more photos of severe weather than trains lately.

I normally would have more rail photos by this time, but the action has been kind of hit or miss lately.
There seems to be a lack of rail traffic compared to last year, or maybe they're just running at times that makes getting photographs tough.

Another issue has been traffic and pedestrians, that make it tough to get to the rail lines, and tough to photograph a train without someone having a fit, hehe.

I would like to get some more rail-related photos at some point this year, but in the mean time, the severe weather has been putting on an awesome show, making it easier to photograph.

Just thought I'd advise that things are improving slightly now.

I feel like I remember seeing one of these in use on a bank, back in the 90s.

It was cool to see the different colors. (usually was steady red, green, or white)

I can still see two of them here, but they are no longer in use sadly.

IAIS has painted one of their new ES44AC's into Rock Island Red and Black colors :)

According to "The Short Line" this unit will be used on IAIS's former RI trackage from Council Bluffs, IA to Blue Island, IL.

It comes from what they used to call Rock Island's passenger trains (Rockets) and also goes well with the fact I like to follow space missions. The arctic wolf is to avoid confusion if there is another rocket wolf, and goes well with how I tend to like cooler weather.

In the past week, I have found two dead squirrels in my back yard, only a few feet from each other.

And the week before that, I found a dead rabbit in one of the neighbors yards that has a fence borders ours.

All three animals looked healthy and showed no signs of injury.


I've been living here for ten years, and have never seen this many animals die in this close of proximity.

I'm getting a little nervous because my dog uses this yard, so I'm hoping someone isn't trying to poison him.


We have notified Animal Control of whats going on, who we will contact back if anything else is found dead.

I have recently learned about a device that can be used by your neighbors to ruin the life of your dog, and all others in the neighborhood.

This may look like a simple birdhouse, but its actually is like an ultra-sonic weapon that makes your dog not want to be outside.

Contrary to what the AD says, the product has a serious design flaw - It goes off when any noise that sounds like barking is occurring, thus giving all dogs around it a piercing sound through their eardrums.

I'm a dog owner myself, and one of my neighbors has one of these. I'm noticing that my dog, and the one behind me rarely want to be outside now, and it has taken the spirit right out of them.

Mine would be the world Okami is set in, maybe with a railroad added into it for good measure :)

It has a little bit of everything and is one of the most beautiful places I've seen (real or virtural).

Once the land is restored in the game, it is quite peaceful.
