TMI Tuesday - The hope that anybody actually looks at these
Posted 10 years agoIt's Tuesday, I just woke up, and fuck it all. Ask me whatever questions you like and I'll see about answering as honestly as I can.

Accepting Short Commissions
Posted 10 years agoFrom this point on I will be accepting short commissions and character introductions at almost any point in time, due to them being rather quick and not requiring a ton of time, unlike longer commissions.. Short commissions are most often around 3 to 7 pages, usually consisting of a lead up to a scene and the scene itself, and character introductions are 2 to 5 pages, usually just a short scene depicting or explaining the character's history, their looks and design, powers, clothes, etc.
The way I do these is that I get all the information that the commissioner wants, I write out a beta (Just the first page or two of the story), proof read it and send it over for inspection. Once that passes I will do an initial draft of the commission in full and send that. From there I will correct general problems and things that are off/incorrect, and once the commission is paid for I will go through the whole thing with a fine tooth comb, re-writing sections as need be, ensuring the flow is correct, fixing grammar, spelling, etc and ensuring that it shines and is worth the payment. After that, I will work with the commissioner to fix any fine details that they notice are askew. Prices will vary depending on length, complexity, and the amount of detailed characters.
If at any point afterwards that something needs to be changed (usually character descriptions), a small fee of $3 USD will be required for me to change and fix it, IF the change is major. Small additions or changes will be done free of charge.
As a side note, if anyone would like help with just a paragraph or two (Such as just wanting a brief description of a character or room) I'd be happy to help. All I ask is that you put a link to my FA with it and consider spreading my name to artists you know for work trades. If you would like a commission or some help, either send me a note or comment here.
Average prices/Price changers
1-5 Pages: $5-10 USD
5-10 pages: $10-15 USD
Detailed characters: $1-3 USD (Pre-written long term characters with specific details, personalities, designs and traits)
General/Predefined characters: Free of charge (One time characters with only one or two traits or design specifications)

Re-thinking things/Commission spots opening before long!
Posted 10 years agoSo, due to some kind words from a few people, some thinking and a sudden surprise pair of commissions, I've decided I'm going to give commissions another go. ...And this time I'm going to be smarter about it. I'll put up prices when things get going and I have space (After these two commissions are done), and I wanted to give you guys a prod and see who might be interested. My prices compared to others, apparently, will be rather low. Around 15 to 20 dollars, MAYBE up to 30 depending on length and complexity. Short scenes will be around 10 or so. All USD, paid through Paypal preferably. Details on how everything is done will be put down in the journal allowing commissions to come in.
Anyway, this is basically to let you guys tell me if you're interested in commissioning me or not. I'm still going to put up the journal regardless, but prod me here to let me know what's on your minds regarding this!

Done with Commissions
Posted 10 years agoRecently, there has been a few things coming to light for me. Namely the fact that an author is not capable of getting commissions. ...At all. There is just little to no interest for the work and I am not willing to continue putting myself out there for nothing but a little praise, some kind words, repeated bashing and discouragement from those who I had hoped to do business with. I'm done with it. Even with free artist trial's, most who I contact, don't respond. The majority that do respond, say no. The rest accept my piece, and then never look my way again. I'm just not willing to continue throwing myself at this grinder.
This does not, however, remove the possibility of doing work trades. If someone comes up, I may still be willing to do work for work, but I'm not about to start holding my breath. I'm going to be returning to primarily working on my novel and hoping that I can finish that and get IT off the ground for some income. So if you feel that a work trade would be in order to benefit us both, by all means, drop me a message, either via a shout or a note. We'll work something out.
As it stands, please don't contact me for commissions. I've removed my commission information and I've no want to put it back up, as there is simply not enough interest for me to have a flying hope in hell of doing this for any reasonable amount of income. If you have a suggestion or request, drop me a line, but don't keep your hopes up.

An art raffle!
Posted 10 years agoFor those lonely few who actually follow me, there's a raffle going on. Figured I'd double my chances and offer anyone else here a chance as well!

Well holy hell, it happened
Posted 10 years agoI wasn't expecting it, but I suddenly have a few watchers! I wasn't expecting much attention when I decided to put up some of my stories, but hey, it happened.
But, while I've got some people's attention (No, this is not a pointer towards my commission prices), I figured I may as well put up a link to my DA. While I do story commissions, I've also been getting more and more into posing in SFM, or Source Film Maker, and I've been trying to improve my skills with it. As such, any and all constructive criticism, pointers, etc would be greatly appreciated.
