ToS (with updates)
Posted 4 years agoBuyer's Rights:
The Buyer has the right to repost their purchased artwork to any site, and transfer rights of the character of whom the artwork is made (and thus rights to the art itself) to whomever they wish, with or without the Seller's consent.
The Buyer has the right to request a reimbursement of the full amount paid within two weeks (14 days) of completion of the artwork, as long as they have not transferred the rights of, or sold the art provided by the Seller. The Buyer may also request a reimbursement of half the amount paid after two weeks (14 days) but no longer than three months after completion. In exchange, the Seller has the rights to resell the artwork, provided it is noticeably made to resemble a different character.
The Buyer may request any color or design changes to the finished artwork within reason, so long as the changes do not significantly impact the linework already laid out and agreed upon by both parties.
The Buyer may, at any time during the artistic process, cancel the commission for full reimbursement, OR downgrade their commission type and receive a reimbursement equal to the excess paid.
Seller's Rights:
The Seller retains only the right to repost the image with appropriate watermark to image hosting sites, as well as retain the image for their own portfolio.
The Seller does not retain the right of redistribution or resale unless the Buyer agrees and is reimbursed the full amount paid for rights to the image within two weeks (14 days) of completion of the artwork. In exchange, the Buyer agrees to forfeit all rights to the artwork, unless other terms are agreed upon.
The Seller reserves the right to refuse a commission for any reason. The seller also reserves the right to cancel a commission for any reason, and must refund the entire payment to the Buyer upon notification of cancellation.
Payment:
The Buyer will pay the Seller in full within two weeks of placing their order, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties. The Seller, in return, will provide the Buyer with their artwork only if payment has been received in full. Payment is to be made via Paypal, in United States Dollars only (USD), which the Seller will provide a link to payment method, or upon request will create an itemized invoice.
If, within two weeks (14 days) of payment, the Seller has not provided adequate updates or provided the artwork in full by an agreed upon date, the Seller must reimburse all costs to the Buyer. The Seller then shall retain full rights to the unfinished work.
Alternative payment schedules are accepted by the Seller, but the Seller may delay steps of the creative process to match payment status (for example, the Seller may accept half payment and not proceed past sketch stage until another installment is made, at which time the Seller will continue to the next step in the process until both payment and artistic processes are completed).

Not missing, just busy.
Posted 6 years agoMy SO's dad had to have surgery, so I've been away for a little while. I'll be trying to post more stuff, I haven't run off and forgotten about you all. Just haven't had the time or motivation to draw while basically being a personal caregiver to a bedridden person and their incredibly self-centered, frustratingly hypocritical husband.
Supposedly I'll be heading home in a month. We'll see about that, since he doesn't want to do anything for himself yet even though he can and should be, for his own health.

I am alive.
Posted 8 years agoI swear, every time one thing happens, another follows.
My computer will be back online in the next few days, and I will be finishing the Date with Cinna commission I have left at no charge, because seriously it's been too long and it is completely unacceptable.
Meantime, I have a used laptop I'm trying to learn to doodle some things on. I'll be posting one of the aesthetics that I think I'd enjoy doing in the future if I need to take commissions on the laptop only.
In other news, I may have a job again soon. Either delivery for Panera or receptionist for a vet office. I'm hoping for the latter, but I'd be okay dealing with the former for a while if that's what is necessary. This all means that my commissions will probably be few and far in between until I get comfortable in my position at work and back in a normal sleep schedule (I know, what is that?).

Update on Belle
Posted 8 years agoWell, she's just got another cold. Really bad one this time, but nothing really serious. Got a nice shot and sent on our way.
Also, she's a little drama queen. Went into the office and she's yowling and carrying on. I look over into the crate and she's actually making all that noise while loafed. All legs tucked under, relaxed a little to the side, and making a crap ton of noise.
In any case, I'm glad it was the cheaper of the outcomes (at $95 total). I want to thank you all for your support, and I *am* still working on those pieces. I'm not normally home on weekends, so I lose that time to make any progress.

Go on a Date with Cinna - Whatever Goes commissions!
Posted 8 years agoOkay guys. My cat is starting to wheeze a little bit and, while it's not an emergency *now*, I want to get her seen before it becomes one. This would be her third time in just a few months so she's kinda run down my vet budget - this means I need to open commissions to get the money.
On that note, I'm offering a special chance to go on a date with my liger girl Cinna.
She's pretty open to any situation, from a coffee date to a wild night, only stipulation is no snuff.
She's a busy working girl, so three spots at a time are open.
Anything from a sketch to a full portrait with background is available. See my commission price guide for pricing (your character pictured with Cinna will be at the price for a single character - so you get a two character picture for the price of one!)

Pay What You Want Commissions - CLOSED
Posted 9 years agoSo, what I haven't really been talking about is that I was kind of 'forced' to resign (as in, my replacement was hired before I was asked when my last day was going to be, without me even knowing I was going to quit, and left with resigning or being terminated).
This means I've been having a lot of free time lately to.. well, do nothing because I've been in a bit of a rut. I've tried to get back on track with things, but I need.. something to do. Anything to do really.
I am, therefore, opening "Pay What You Want" commissions. There are a few rules, however.
1) Minimum amount is $1.
2) Payment must be in USD through Paypal.
3) If you notice something you would like/you need changed, you must tell me at the sketch stage (or flat color stage if based upon color).
4) Payment may either be made up front, or half up front and half at lineart completion if you order a colored piece.
EDIT
Since I have had a lot of questions as to pricing, here is a general list of what I'd be willing to do within each price range. You may note that there is a price drop on here compared to my typical commission prices, and as always you may ask for any specifics, and I do contact and confirm work in progress updates, as I want all my commissioners to be happy with their final product.
1-6
Full body sketch OR Sketchy Headshot
6-15
Icon OR flat colored bust OR simple shaded headshot
15-30
Full colored portrait OR Simple cut-out tee design*
30-70
Character ref sheet OR Painterly Headshot OR Single full colored portrait with simple background
70-90
Painterly Bust OR Two character portrait with simple background
90+
Full Body Painterly Portrait OR Three character portrait with detailed background
*Tee designs are made on a large canvas, and are not vectored, however they do come in transparent .png and .psd files, and are around 3000 to 5000 pixels tall and wide.

Posted 9 years agoTurned out to just be the drive shaft/axle!!
That's about a $400 job, then of course while they were testing it, service lights came on (oil, filters, rotation, transmission flush) and that's a whole nother 300. All in all, $700 is still less than the $800-$3000 we were looking at!
Now it's off to another day at work to try and make up the difference, before picking the fox up and taking him over to pick up his car.

Ugh, why??
Posted 9 years agoSo, the fox asked me to go get tacos. At midnight, of course, because that's when tacos are most craved. I caved in and agreed to go - if I could take his car.
Pull out of the lot, and have someone on my ass so I try to get up to speed... and suddenly, it's as if I dropped into neutral. I coast up onto the side of the road right as it opens a turn lane, and try to put it in park... only to receive a horribly loud grinding noise. Okay, no park. Drop into Neutral and put on the e-brake, and turn off the car.
So, had to call a tow just after midnight because I went on a *taco run* - just my luck.
So, what we're looking at is either an $800 axle repair job.. or a $3000 repair/transmission replacement.
We don't know what yet, but with the incredible noise from the engine and the fact I can't even get it to go in reverse, my bet is on "catastrophic transmission failure."
Good bye, savings. It was nice dreaming about what to do with you. ;-;

HOME~
Posted 9 years agoI have made it home safe and sound, despite what all the weather wants to throw at me. Got me enough time to snuggle up warm and cozy, read a book, and (to her, most importantly) give my kitty, Belle, lots of pets (oh lord the yowling when we stepped in the door, it's like she thought we were gone for weeks!).
It was great seeing those of you that were there (I'm talking to you, my new watchers!) and look forward to sharing my work with you all. I hope everyone else made/makes it home safely too.

Woah. MCFC snuck up on me.
Posted 9 years agoI mean, I guess I have been pretty preoccupied with work and art, so I guess that's a decent enough reason.
In any case, I'll be going there, even if just for a day pass or just for Sat/Sun or something (I work Friday, booooo).
Anyone else out there planning to go?

Commissionr.net anyone?
Posted 9 years agoSo, I was introduced to this site, https://commissionr.net
I have joined and uploaded a commission slot to it, but I wanted to know if anyone else has heard anything about the place?
Personally, I've noticed it's a bit dead, but it seems like a nice site and a good, simple way to post commission availability. It's got a lot of potential, especially if they keep it as simple as it is! Easy to sign up for and use. Allows you to link to your FA and Weasyl accounts, you don't have to settle for just being a buyer or seller, but they do want you to pick which one you're going to mostly use the site for. I can see the main trouble being with actually getting the buyers ON the site.
In any case, sign up is free, so.. what's there to lose, really? :P
Also, I updated my TOS. In other words, I HAVE ONE NOW. :O
It can be found under my profile ID here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16424040/

What would you like to see more of?
Posted 9 years agoWork has been keeping me away from the internet more and more, however with accreditation done and over with, my schedule should be quieting back down again to only three days a week (occasionally four).
So, in light of that, I was thinking of sketching up some YCH stuff (it's typically cheaper than my outright commissions and there's a LOT of customization available - feel free to ask the owners of previous pieces if you don't believe me! ;D ), but I wanted to see if maybe that's something you'd be interested in or if you had other things in mind (ref sheet availability, t-shirt designs, avatar/icon pieces, sketch streams, etc).
Feel free to let me know here, or if you're shy, you can always message me your opinion (as long as it's respectful)!

Posted 10 years agoMy car is fixed and working perfectly again!
I know I didn't say anything, because I didn't want to come off as begging for donations/commissions. Last week, my car decided she wasn't going to go into gear anymore, at all. The clutch felt like nothing was behind it. This was very, very sudden (as in, went to work Friday and then Monday, couldn't get the car into reverse or first/second). Took her to an auto shop for a look over, turned out her master cylinder was leaking something fierce. Good news is, it was only $300 and not the $1200 that it could have been. Unfortunately, it also wasn't the $20 fix, so we're still a bit behind. We'll make it work though.
I want to thank you guys for the watches, favorites, and most of all commissions that have helped us through all this - it might not have been much and it might not have covered a whole lot, but every little bit helps things feel more stable. Thank you, sincerely.

Just a thing...
Posted 10 years agoI do want to thank those of you who favorite my art, or add me to your watch list.
Please don't be offended if I don't post on your page for doing so. Either I missed it, or have assumed you're mass-favoriting things, but that doesn't mean it matters any less. I just feel that if everyone who had their art favorited by a mass-favoriter replied and thanked you, that you'd be flooded with messages and would equally ignore them. It's okay. Not everyone can respond to everything, every single time.
But just know, I do appreciate you. You're awesome.

I suppose I should say...
Posted 10 years agoI now am gainfully employed. That is why you haven't seen a lot from me (and honestly it's taking forever to do anything even worth showing right now).
It was only supposed to be a three day a week job. This is week 3. It's almost over, and I'm still working full time.
It would seem they have altered our agreement. I pray they do not alter it further.

NOPE.
Just got home at 6PM on Monday.
Plans? What are these "plans" you speak of?

Ouch. So, this sucks.
Posted 10 years agoExpensive repair needed on the car. Okay, we're going to be hurting and living on rice for a while, but okay...
Get home. Get a bill in the mail from a debt collector, on my hospital bill from last year...
That I had insurance for...
That I gave them the information for, FOUR times...
And they're still claiming I owe.
I'm done fighting. I'm going to give them their stupid money and hope they choke on it. In the meantime, I'm going to try and get more commissions to at least be able to eat, and try and sell my car. I just need to transfer the title up here - at least I have the title.

So... Teepublic?
Posted 10 years agoI've gone and made a Teepublic account. It's a site where artists can upload designs for T-shirts and other apparel, bags, and prints (canvas and otherwise). I don't have much as of yet, just one picture so far as a shirt design, but I'm open to suggestions!

Movinnnng Updates
Posted 10 years agoSo! We hired moving companies (down there to load, up here to unload) for this trip - to lift and pack the truck of our furniture and heaviest items/boxes.
Totally. Worth it.
I now have a desk, I've halfway got the living room set up with the furniture, need to set up the table but I need to find a wrench to bolt on the legs to that sucker (heavy ass solid wood table and legs). We got the bedframe set up though, which is really nice, we'll not be sleeping on the mattress at floor level anymore! :D
So yeah, I'm happy right now and feeling really accomplished! Now I just need to save up and get a second cat tree for the living room, since Miss Flufflebottoms has decided she loves having the tree in the bedroom. Miiight switch the corner it's in, though, so she can no longer make a flying leap from the top of it right for my head. o_x

Commissions CLOSED - 1 Slot TAKEN
Posted 10 years agoMy prices are listed under the "Commission Info" page, but if you have any questions about a particular image you'd want to see, feel free to post or PM me. I'm available Mondays through Fridays, currently my weekends are spent traveling between locations without internet access.
Yep. Stir-crazy.
Posted 10 years agoCan't wait to go back to the old house and find the box that my tablet is in. I've been in the mood to art for a few days now, and I have literally NOTHING to draw with. No pencils, no pens, no paper.
Also, I'm in a new area now and know no one here. @_@ Gonna have to find new friends. I'm too old and antisocial to be making friends! 8C

Yes, yes, I'm still alive.
Posted 10 years agoAlmost everything is packed, and some things are already moved over. Not much, but some. Clothes, cooking pots/pans (unfortunately no cooking UTENSILS, plates, silverware or CUPS - I am not a forward thinker, apparently), some of my art supplies, toiletries...
Still gotta move the computers, fish, cat, all this freakin' NERF stuff, books... basically we've moved the light things and the things that don't fight you.
Working on it though. We'll be even closer this weekend (moving the cat and computers). While I'm over there I'll set up new tanks for the fish, so I can move them next weekend. We're even getting a new bed! Oh how we've needed one, seriously.
In any case, thank you all for being so patient! Once we're successfully moved, I'll start back up the YCHs and re-open normal commissions and start submitting more stuffs.

Commissions Closed, YCHs cancelled temporarily.
Posted 10 years agoI'm in the middle of moving, and just packed away my tablet (because I didn't have any takers - sorry guys), so I can not work on anything until I get to the new place and unpacked, which may be a couple of weeks or so. Please bear with me if you're hoping to get something.
Thanks!
Thanks!
