Now, I'm not one to go randomly see a movie in theatres if I haven't seen at least SOME of it (more than what previews tell me). It's happened a few times and It's been a 50-50 turnout of wether or not I liked it.

Now, I'm sure to enjoy "300", but I don't feel like going into the theatre and laughing through the movie because of all the internet hype going on (I chortled most of the way through Snakes on a Plane, but that's only because I couldn't hold it in very well even after I had seen it at home).

So, I fire up Limewire and download a file that has quite a good many hosts (over 6000, not 9000) and download it before I go to bed. I wake up and there it is. I put it off for a few days and then I go to watch it 10 minutes ago after <lj user="invaderluca"> told me to. I fire it up in VLC and see the beginning of what looks to be a 70's porno. I thought "Man, Frank Miller must be a genius for using this old shit."

Thats when it hit me. It WAS a 70's porno. "Scheherade: One Thousand and One Erotic Nights" to be exact. Essentially, a 70's porno that had a theme of "Arabian Nights". Mmmmmmmmmm, gotta love those 70's untrimmed twats...

For those that don't know, I work at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport as a "Thrower", or AKA "Baggage Handler".

Close calls suck.

I got hit by Jetblast from an engine that was spooling down. Winds at about 45MPH come from a 737 engine that is spooling down. Few people get hit by Jetblast and live to tell about it. My third day, and I can already say that I have lived through it.

We had just Marshalled in a 737-300, and I had chose to be a wing-walker on the left side. The cargo bays are on the right side, and the plane usually taxis in with the left engine on. At that point, the right wing-walker places a cone in front of the right engine, halfway between the wingtip and the engine, three feet from the tip, and a few behind the wing to prevent a vehicle from hitting it. He will also place a cone at the back of the aircraft, signifying a stopping place so the tug can check that it's brakes work.

I went to place the cone at the back, walking 45 feet from the engine. I felt it. I've been hit with stronger gusts, but hell, it was hot and it was fucking scary.

It didn't hit me until after we had taken care of the plane and marshalled it out. I then told one of the guys that saw me do it that I was going to dissapear for a while...

...I smoked 6 cigarettes in about 10 minutes. Freaked out at what could have happened.
