HOLY CARP DOS
General | Posted 19 years agoUpdate
General | Posted 19 years agoCaught up and I just want to share some lyrics to a favorite song of mine. Why? 'Cuz I can.
Ever since the days of old,
Men would search for wealth untold.
They'd dig for silver and for gold,
And leave the empty holes.
And way down south in the Everglades,
Where the black water rolls and the saw grass sways.
The eagles fly and the otters play,
In the land of the Seminole.
So blow, blow Seminole wind,
Blow like you're never gonna blow again.
I'm calling to you like a long lost friend,
But I know who you are.
And blow, blow from the Okeechobee,
All the way up to Micanopy.
Blow across the home of the Seminole,
The alligators and the gar.
Progress came and took its toll,
And in the name of flood control,
They made their plans and they drained the land,
Now the glades are going dry.
And the last time I walked in the swamp,
I sat upon a Cypress stump,
I listened close and I heard the ghost,
Of Osceola cry.
So blow, blow Seminole wind,
Blow like you're never gonna blow again.
I'm calling to you like a long lost friend
But I know who you are.
And blow, blow from the Okeechobee,
All the way up to Micanopy.
Blow across the home of the Seminole,
The alligators and the gar.
Instrumental close.

Over 300 entries to look through.
This is gonna take a while. If you're looking here 'cuz I posted something on your submission/journal from when dirt was new then it's 'cuz I'm still trying to catch up. v.v

General | Posted 19 years agoI swear to God it appears to be some sort of subconscious desire of mine to alienate everyone in the fandom one nutjob at a time... FAN, I man Fan! DAMNIT.
So, yeah...
General | Posted 19 years agoNot going to bother updating anything for a while - if at all - so just getting the old journal off the main page.
So... Bye.
So... Bye.
So... Yiff?
General | Posted 19 years agoI was wondering if anyone would particularly care - one way or the other - if I put up a yiffy story I wrote some months ago? Nothing too... "hardcore" but definitely X.
F**K
General | Posted 19 years agoSo, I was at work a month ago, and I sprained my finger. Or I thought I did, but then I noticed lately that it was crooked, so I take the worker's comp thing to pay for a doctor's visit, and an x-ray later we find out that my finger is actually broken.
So now, I have to wear a splint for a month to immobilize it so it doesn't heal up like some freakin' claw-thing. Not that it isn't already crooked... *sigh*
I can't play games anymore, since my hand can't curl up like before, and since I drive a fucking STICK SHIFT that enters into a whole new realm of suck.
So, happy fucking new year to me. No fireworks this year, can't light 'em safely.Nno video games, can't type unless I use hunt-and-peck with my left hand 'cuz the finger sticks out...
This is gonna be a looonnng month.
So, why does this matter to you? Simple: I won't be making comments a lot due to this, so I shall be mostly silent.
That is all.

Launch!
General | Posted 19 years agoTonight, at 8:47PM, EST, the space shuttle Discovery launched into the heavens.
It was a glorious sight, the eastern horizon lighting up in a false dawn, only to reveal a blazing comet of fire, soaring high into the sky like a phoenix, only to cast off its wings to become a glorious, brilliant blue-white star, racing through the night, until finally, it settled below the horizon and was lost from view.
I love night launches.

Gonna stay, if only 'cuz some good artists are still here.
Still, if anyone actually cared about the crap I put up, it ain't goin' up here anymore. If you care, new stuff'll be found at:
http://maddog3060.deviantart.com/
Also, damned slowdowns... I have had neary a hundred submissions backloged 'cuz I couldn't log onto the damn website. So if I put a comment on something fairly old, that's why.

Early Voting
General | Posted 19 years agoI think it's stupid, actually, when it comes to real life races. If you can't get into a polling place on time, then **** you for not making it a priority. You'd take off time to visit a sick family member, but you won't leave work early or call in sick so that you can exercise your franchise?
...
ANYWAY, that's not the voting I was talking about, really. By now, I'm sure everyone's seen this:
http://www.furaffinityforums.net/sh.....d.php?tid=4110
I encourage you to vote. But, unlike some people, I am encouraging you to vote to BAN this sort of thing.
Because, there are a lot of things in this world where it's not black and white, but shades of gray, matters of opinion, different perspectives.
THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM.
It's just plain pedophilia. I don't care if you make it so that it's a non-anthro animal, or whatnot. Any living (and thinking) being who is not fully grown is underage, and showing that kind of character in a sexual situation is just WRONG. Wrong wrong wrong WRONG.
Every civilized nation in the world looks down on this sort of thing, and they have laws against it for good reason. It has no place within a society of cultured peoples.
And yes, any country that does not immediately villify and denounce this as wrong is an uncivilized country.
I realize that this page of mine is only "watched" by ten people, and none of them actually read anything I put down either here or in a submission, but this journal entry is aimed at the few people who, curious, might wander across my page after seeing me comment somewhere else. Rare, I know. Unlikely, true. But still, some things are just wrong, and it doesn't matter whether I have an audience of thousands or a sick dog alone in the night, I take a stand no matter what. I encourage you all to do the same.
Thank you, and God Bless.

General | Posted 19 years agoLife it seems, will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free
Things are not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this can't be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filing me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now He's gone
No one but me can save myself, but it's too late
Now I can't think, think why I should even try
Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death Greets me warm, now I will just say good-bye
Good-bye.

Meme
General | Posted 19 years agoNot that anyone reads these journals, but I figure I'd do the meme thing 'cuz it looks like a fun way to help me realize my personal character more.
Stolen from Tiberius, but not like it isn't EVERWHERE.
1. What is your character's name?
He has had several. "Maddog" originally, then "Rokas." His real name remains a mystery to all but his closest friends as he is paranoid about robo-ninjas.
2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race?
Furry. Fox/Wolf hybrid (I picked it before it was the "cool" thing, so back off) with a slight mix of domesticated dog.
3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?
"I want to go back to sleep."
4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
Depends on the situation, but in General: Loose gray T-shirt, camoflagued pants, steel-toed boots, baseball cap.
5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
The big folf ears.
6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
Yeah, pretty much.
7. How is your character similar to you?
Well, he's basically ME, just furrified for you protection. Or something...
8. How is he/she different?
He's in shape, more confident and self-assured, not as lazy and knows five ways to kill a homicidal cyborg.
9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
Yeah. Only he could growl much, much better than I could. And bark and other stuff.
10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
Hehehe, hahaha, MUAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!
*Cough* Er, probably go scare my family. Then pay a visit to certain people. ;)
11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?
Most people don't know or care about me, let alone my character, so no.
12. What advantages does your character have over you?
Teeth. Claws. Fur. Better smelling and hearing. Not a fat ass.
13. What disadvantages?
He tends to have little mental episodes where he acts feral. Usually only a danger to deer, though.
Usually. >:)
14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?
Not really.
15. Do you have any secret drawings only you know about?
I couldn't draw to save my life.
16. Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?
Been workin' on a story in my spare time, intend it to be a series of short stories chonicling his adventures in fighting the evil players of the Shadow War: The Alien Mafia, the Bolsheviks, the Illuminati, Lord Chaos, the Gay Communist Chinese, and the Penguins.
17. What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?
Dunno. So few people even know he exists.
18. If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?
I plead the 5th.
19. Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same relationship with your character as you with the real-life person?
Only vague outlines for my sister and parents. Nothing detailed.
20. Have you written any stories about your character?
Working on one, not finished yet.
21. How has your character changed since his/her first creation?
Originally was just folf. I added the tiny bit of dog to excuse the fact that he likes to curl up and snooze in people's laps. ;)
22. Give us a one-liner from him/her.
"I'll chew your face off you sunovabitch."
23. What's something people would be surprised to learn about your character?
The fact that he's actually pretty nice once you get past his gruff exterior.
24. If you met your character in real life, what would you do with him or her?
Rub his ears and tummy. ;)
Rub his ears and tummy. ;)

Babylon 5
General | Posted 19 years agoIt kicks ass.
I just got Season 2, used. I've forgotten how kickass this show is. Seriously. I mean, sure, the show's had the reputation, and I've watched them all before when they were first broadcast... But time tends to make you forget things.
I MUST get the entire series. THIS WILL BE MY GOAL!
MUAHAHAHAHA!

Three words
General | Posted 19 years agoAmish Nazi NINJAS.
Notice.
General | Posted 19 years agoI have been told to remove several items by the admin Pinkuh. If you notice something missing, that's why.
Move along people, nothing to see here.
General | Posted 19 years agoThat's right. You see nothing, because I am the NINJA!
...Well, no, not really. But I am a mad scientist and I have an army of Robo-Ninjas.
...And I know where you live. Hehehe, hahaha, MUAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!
The fools shall know my wrath, and the whole world will bow to me! Cities will lie in ruin, rivers shall run red with blood, and I will laugh in glee as I roll in the ashes of my defeated and burned enemies!
Look upon my works, ye mortals, and despair!
This concludes your dose of insanity. We now return you to your normal Fur affinity experience.
TELL NO ONE.
