General | Posted 17 years agoI've tried and failed to re-write a bunch of shit. So instead, I'm gonna push ahead and soldier on. Part two of "Two" will be coming soon. I hate the first-person perspective, but I might keep it anyway. It sucks for me, but after re-reading part one, I see that it works really well for the reader. Which is what it's about anyway... (writing, that is.)
"Lone Wolf Legend" is NEVER going to see the light of day. I wrote a novel to never be released, I fear. :O
All other projects are on hold, I guess. I don't make writing my #1 priority ("Really, now Roken? I would not believe that if you hadn't mentioned it!"), and really I've been reeling from the exhaustion of work and no play.

The new series is tentatively titled "Two" I finished chapter one earlier and I'm currently writing chapter two. Keep your eyes peeled and let me know what you think. I'm quite open to any ideas or complaints you have, so drop me a note.

I'm still single.
I'm still broke.
I'm still working the same job.
I will be quitting soon.
I'm still reading. This time instead of Taoism, it's Stoicism. It's really just a matter of semantics (Greek/Roman terms vs. Chinese terms).
I'm writing a new story. (This one probably won't see the light of day for a long time, though, if ever.)
Not much else is happening. Though SOCOM is hella cool...when it works.
I'm thinking I'm gonna post a ton of story bits in scraps. Like...quick scenes and ideas I haven't had time to flesh out. I'm considering a co-writer to help me get motivated. Someone to challenge me or something (read: cliche) like that.

Re-building
General | Posted 17 years agoJust moved to Orlando. Got much to do and even more time to do it in. ...Well...not really. But I'm self-renowned for my procrastination. I get paid today, though. That should spur me into some action. Like...getting a haircut! And maybe some photos of me sans all the hair.
I've been oh so slowly typing out my novel. Still don't expect it done for some time. Maybe not another year or so, honestly. I am perhaps a bit too much of a perfectionist. I've been doing a lot more reading than writing lately.
Hopefully, I'll get out and meet some of the locals pretty soon. I'd like to meet some new people in the area, even though I'm pretty shy! For now, I'm just keeping up online.
I'm gonna try to be more active online (insofar as FA and LJ, less so with IM). I've been slacking at that.
My mood has improved mostly. Was feeling sorry for myself for a while since all my roomies are mated. But even I know things aren't gonna be the same forever.
Depending on my pay today, I should be set to get my license and registration here for my car. Then I can start looking for a new place to stay. As it is, I'm sleeping on a large (and admittedly comfortable) couch. Not exactly ideal for sleeping. My shoulder also has been hurting considerably of late. It's hurt before, but lately it's hurt more and more lately. If anyone has any ideas...let me know. Please. ^^:
