I suppose I haven't really been on the ball lately lol. However, I am back from FCN and even better yet... done with school for the semester! My oh my yes, and does it ever feel good. I need like a week to recover though lol. I was so sore on monday and tuesday just because I danced and suited so much during the nights of the con. For those of you that didn't go, you should seriously consider next year. I must say that there are so many unique and very awesome events to attend plus the overall atmosphere is just so nice!

So yeah! As soon as I got back from the con (with crud mind you), I got to have the ultimate joy of playing the last concert of my college career. And then turn in all of my term papers the day after! it was... great :p But now I'm just in work mode and it feels wonderful. Hurray for no more school! Anybody else just about to finish up a degree like I am? :D

So... yeah. I'm heading to FCN well... Today O_o Guuuuhhhhh....

Don't get me wrong, I am very excited for the convention and happy to be on staff / DJing again, but man! It really snuck up on me this year. So yeah! Rooming in the main hotel from thursday until whenever I leave, prolly sunday night / monday morning, somewhere in there.

Oddy and I are heading up the first part of the thursday night dance... Weaboo music hoooo~! Then I'm comin back friday night to hear friends of mine play. Draconum, Gir, and Dragonboy are all playing that night, so woo! Protocollie is playing that night too... man, so many good names. Saturday will be fun, too ;) Aaron Prime up at 10, Mr. Veytia up at 11, I'm up at midnight, and Oddy takes the stage after me at 1. I hope you guys are ready to dance :D

So yeah! Come say hi! I'll probably be in the main events room more often than not either out of suit (I have nearly white hair with a big bushy beard!*(**)) or a big ole white tiger suit.

My how time flies when you're really super busy x.x But, even though this is a busy time of year for a lot of people, I'll still sit down for a couple of hours and put on a show for ya'll. My class is putting together a web cast for our university's Undergraduate Symposium. We've always wanted some new big thing each year, and this year I think I've got it... Music. Yeah I know, seems pretty standard for a webcast, but one of the people in charge is very scared about playing music over the internet since he's afraid some publisher is going to come after us for playing their music (we're also using equipment from the 80's... if that gives you any idea how afraid this guy is of change).

Anyway, the way I convinced him to let me add music to this year's webcast is simple: I will only be using music that I get permission to use that is not licensed to a label. That is... music that 90% of the users on here create.

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU!

If you have a song that you'd like to have included in this webcast, please get a hold of me and send me the music file that you would like to hear on this webcast. Submissions should be sent to me at rokkaiser[at]yahoo.com on or before 03/23/2011 (that's just under a week from now!) to make it onto the playlist for the webcast. Your song will go onto a portable media device where it will play randomly along with any other submissions I get.

THIS IS AN ACADEMIC EVENT

Owners of this Symposium have asked for "intellectual" music (i.e. Jazz, Classical, Nu Age, Ambient, Downtempo, Chillout. I am NOT going to put any sort of dance and/or rock music of any kind on this playlist just so I can keep the academic nuts happy). Also please make sure to stray away from remixes and edits as those are kind of a grey area when it comes to intellectual property.

The webcast will be a LIVE stream from 8:30am 'till 12:45pm on Friday, March 25th, 2011. That's a lot of time to fill for music... and while music won't be playing constantly, I will need something every time a break happens.

I always forget that the age on your profile doesn't automatically change when your bday comes about. Gotta switch that over to 24 now... and ya know, now that I'm thinking about it why does it seem like the last few years seem to have flown by?

I mean, I think about it and it seems as though I have very vivid memories of the past 5 years even though so much has happened. I suppose I should be thankful that I can remember those sorts of things, but still, crazy how when stuff starts to happen how quickly life will move.

Soooo.... as part of my program at school, they said that I have to do a radio show and broadcast it on the school's station every week for the semester. Which, is mega awesome!! Cause not only do I get to have a regular time each week that I get to have some experience on air, I get to be on freakin air!

If any of you would like to listen to it, go to www.eagleradio.org and click on one of the 'listen now' links. There is music playing on the station at all hours of the day, but my particular set is on Wednsdays from 6 to 8pm EST.

As far as the format goes, its a continually mixed program with only a little bit of talking above each song as I'd like to keep it focused on the music. Hope to see you all there and would love to hear feedback after each show! :)

and that brings my convention year to an end on such a wonderfully sweet note. While I did have to endure just a little bit of drama near the beginning of the convention, people that I met up with there made it all better and I ended up having an awesome con. Most notably, spending time with  StrongPawz,  OzTigah84,  Rakedu, and  Foxtuba made for some epicly fun times :) Also enjoyed some great lols with  Midwayotter,  Eenyuwolf,  scardykat85, and  MintzBuck you all seriously rock :)

Sunday night was also quite awesome DJing with  Madius, was a really fun dynamic in that room for the evening and everything was just... well, it just felt good. Euphoric almost.

So, save for packing up everything that I need, I am officially ready for MFF to be here. I'll be there from thursday evening 'till monday morning and will be doing plenty of fursuiting :D I'll also be doing a bit of DJing sunday night at the dead dog, so come say 'hi' and dance for me :)

Classes have started up, hurray for that. Taking two different audio production classes this semester... look out! Heh.

Before then though, it's just been week after week of very stressful happenings. I won't go into detail, however so much stress hit me at once that I nearly had a freakout at work... then got really sick after that day, and have been pretty much ever since. I've basically been either in bed, or sprawled out on the couch for the past week downing soup, tea, gatorade, and penicillin. yay fun right?

I'm really hoping to be back on my feet next week, but even still drawing time will be few and far between with school going on. Hope everyone's well!

...why I haven't been doing my daily drawings. Well, I haven't really been able to as I've been working on getting my car fixed. Turns out there's a pretty substantial coolant leak somewhere in the car and that's gotta be fixed before I can really drive it (or I'll get stuck on the road with an overheating car... or worse x.x)

So yeah, car will be going into the shop on Monday... hoping it won't be too expensive. If it is, 365 will have to stop for a while... commissions may open up to help me pay for it... and A365 will restart as soon as it's drivable again (and my stress level goes down XD)

What a relief! I had some pretty stressful goings on the past few weeks and it seems that it's all finally going away so it's time to celebrate :)

I'm going to be doing two different things here (at the same time! woah I know scary rite? :P). I keep eying my page views and I want 'em to go up, so here's where my challenge comes up. I want to try a challenge called Art365. Basically, do a drawing every single day and post it (no matter how bad it is) just for good practice habits. I will most likely be doing this challenge up until I hit 10K (maybe even more if things are really going well).

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU, THE WATCHER:

I don't want to just draw any random doodling that comes out of my head, I want to make sure to do some sketches for people. I know I wasn't really doing much in the way of requests before, but now I want to :D

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IF YOU WISH TO HELP ME WITH MY CHALLENGE:

Contact me with a reference. Leaving a comment here would probably be easiest with a link to a reference. I will be looking for two things when taking on a request challenge 1) complexity of character (if your dood is too hard to draw, I most likely am not gonna do it) and 2) how interesting it is to me.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

I will be doing ONE of these per day... and they will be just sketches, nothing fancy. I just want some inspiration to keep me drawing and get into some good practice habits. There is also going to be no real rhyme or reason on who I pick for each day, I'm just going to draw whatever looks like fun :)
