Wow, Three years ago yesterday I joined FA and the furry community. In all honesty, It hasn't felt that long.

Still though... 3 YEARS o.o;

Is it bad that the only reason I look forward to holidays now is the one day of extra pay?

So, I was about to leave for work in a bit... and it just dawned on me. When I get home, I will be packing. Once I'm done packing, I'll be sleeping. And once I'm done sleeping... oh snap... I'll be at this con until monday >.>;;

I suddenly feel unprepared.

So, I haven't been paying attention to my pageview counter, but I just now realized that it's shot over 5000!!!!!! Woooooo~!

So with that celebratory shout, first one to respond will get a sketchy sketch :D

What a good weekend. I really needed that, too. I mean, I was very excited to go down there to get away from Michigan for a weekend and visit a few very good friends (Like Blitz and Moose and Gebji and Nuka and Bucker AND Seth:D )... however, I didn't expect to see as many people down there that I knew and make as many really cool friends as I did.

For starters, I didn't expect to see Kiska, Shiro, Nightclaw, any of the other MiFurs, OR Dragonboy there... which was an awesome surprise. But also, I got introduced to some awesome people... Like BeardedWolf (who is now BDubs in my book >:3), Cyan, Crash, and soooooo many others.

I went suiting for a while... got some awesome photos (will be posted or linked later), and dancing for an even longer while (If you've got pics/videos of me spinning poi... I want them XD), and hung out with friends all the while.

PCD started to kick in just a lil while ago after we got home (argh 12 hour drive..), especially when I stepped out of the car once we got here and was welcomed with a blast of 30 Degree air. However, FCN is just around the corner now so I gets another con real soon! Woooo!!!

I miss all of you guys and really can't wait to come back next year. <3

So, work sucks. I feel the need to rant about this as today we were so short staffed that we had to pull everyone working on a check out lane... and we were still so busy that nobody could get their actual job done. So... to my employers: SCHEDULE MORE PEOPLE TO WORK, WE OBVIOUSLY HAVE ENOUGH BUSINESS TO SUPPORT THEM ALL. That is all.

Anyway, so vacation. I need one. And... I get one! Woo! We're leaving Michigan on thursday morning and driving all the way down to a much warmer place: FWA! :3 Look for the badge if you wanna meet up or I'll be suiting in May (reddish orange stripped house cat) most of the weekend! Hope to see you all there <3 Oh... and come to the dances...  oddy will be DJing on saturday and I will be spinning poi prolly every night there is a dance :D

Well, as the title implies, I am now another year older. 22 to be exact. We did typical birthday stuff.... out to eat, got some drinks, good times :) That and I got to see my 2 baby nieces over the weekend! Yaaaaaaaay!

Yeap, I'm done moving for the most part. I just have to go grab a few papers from the old place and call it good. Well, that and I need to find a spot for everything in my room. Ugh, I have my work cut out for me again!

So, I've been pretty much putting off writing in my journal for a while now. Classes have just about come to an end for this semester, and I couldn't be more excited to be done. I'm not graduating, but it almost feels like I am.

I'm sure you know by now that MFF was a blast. I hung out with some good friends while there, met a couple new ones. Had an overall good time. A little PCD once I got back home, but that was quickly remedied by a visit from my boy :)

Now on to the fun stuff. I'm moving. Again. Why? Because I can't stand living in the city I do anymore. There is nothing to do (literally... unless you want to loiter in front of the law firm), I have hardly any friends there, and my room mates are pissing me off to high heaven. Not to mention the biggest reason that I want to move; my mate.

So in a mere three weeks, I'll be packing up my bags and taking them down to Ann Arbor, MI so that I can move in with  oddy and our friends Nik and Gir. I will also be taking next semester off so that I can work on saving up a bit of money. What's also fortunate is that I already have a job lined up for when I get down there.

Once I get down there as well, I will probably be starting up comissions again so that I can have another form of income. That way I don't have to work my arse off at the grocery store XD

So, this was Youmacon. Dearborn, MI at the Hyatt Regency.

Thursday: Get there, set stuff up. Well... set up what we could. Typical staff stuff, nothing too exciting :)

Friday: More setting up with my boy  oddy and our friend Draconum. Also got a chance to meet up with  woods that day to hang out for just a bit. The concert that night was good. Like... really good. Lemon Demon played first (after an intro by the Spoony Bards), and though I don't like that style of music so much, they put on a good show. Then My Dear Disco played, and oh my gosh. The band is based out of Ann Arbor, MI, and they blew me right out of the water. Really and truly, I wouldn't be surprised if the band made some national hits here soon.

Saturday: More setting up, yay! If you've never staffed a convention, I would highly recommend at least trying to volunteer at one. Helping pull off one of these events is probably one of the more satisfying feelings while working :) Especially when you're dealing with a 4000+ convention o.o;

What else happened this day... hmm. Oddy and I had to run to go see his friend get married, that was fun :) Except... on the way I found a way to completely destory my phone -_-;; Ive got a new one on the way now... but that's a 50 dollar mistake that I really didn't want to make.

Later on that night was the dance. I had lots of fun there, I must say. A group called Hyperspace Roadies played first... and Ive heard them in the past and didn't think too highly of them. However, though they were not completely on top of their game that night, they have gotten leaps and bounds better from what they were. After them, MDD played again. Then Drac and Oddy played their sets, which were all very well received. Just an all around good night!

I also got a chance to meet up with  wolfsquirrel that day, which was fun. He was working over in the Gaming room... which, mind you, was an AMAZING gaming room. I mean, wow, they had a ton of arcade consoles set up... and about 50-75 hi-def TVs set up for pretty much anything you wanted. It was sick.

Sunday: Sunday rolled around, and it didn't really feel like the con was ready to end. This was by far the easiest day to work, as there were not very many technically demanding events going on in our area :D One notable thing that happened that day though... I got to meet the original Black Ranger (Oh Shi~!). He was really cool and down to earth, I must say :)

There are a few things up and coming that I just wanted to make note of... :3

First, no, I'm not dead. I haven't been very active here, been kinda busy, you know. :)

That being said... I have my first concert featuring my music coming up in just a little over two weeks. Ohmagawsh. So exciting! I get to see people's reaction to my music in a concert setting, WOO! The date is November 9th @ 8pm. PM me if you want the location! (it's in Michigan)

Next... Youmacon! One week from today I'll be in the Dearborn Hyatt (near Detroit for those that don't know), helping with whatever the tech head needs me to do :o And of course hiding behind the sound booth with my boy ^_^

Ive been thinking recently... I want to do a remix of a tune. I don't know the tune, nor what I want to remix it into. So I thought... I KNOW! I'LL ASK FA!

So there it is. Make requests. The most interesting one (or two or three, depending on how much time I have) to me will be worked on for a while :P

Here's the deal though, I don't want to remix a techno video game song into another techno piece. I'd much rather remix a classical something or another (preferably something that people would recognize) into something more upbeat. Or Vice versa!

So spit ideas out there of what you'd like to hear!

And it's really neat :D Namely because it's a celly phone (to which I have not truly had yet).

So... I played the first installment of the game offline (Phantasy Star Universe to all you that don't know), and now I bought the expansion and decided to go online with it. And... ohmygawsh. Im having so much fun!

Another semester of college come and gone... this one's got some news with it though. And since I haven't done an update journal in quite some time, this could make for a pretty heafty read.

First off, a happy note. I passed all my exams woo. Nothing to special to that, but I was worried about my Percussion Jury... and I passed it, so no worries there. Yaaay~

Now for some bad news. I applied for the composition studio at my university this year for music. I was very confident that I would get accepted and be able to continue my college career on track and un-interupted. I, however, was very wrong. The composition instructor hated my pieces. He called them "Uninteresting" and "Lacking Harmonic Interest." I was devistated. To have this guy tell me that I am not good enough to get into his studio was a bit much. I was later informend by someone that was in his studio that the instructor hates the minimalistic style... which I adore. That means that I was probably denied access purly on the notion that he and I don't see eye to eye.

So now that he's made his descision, I have to make mine. I can either keep persuing the degree that I don't like while trying to get into his studio again and praying that I make it... or change majors 3 years into college. I don't have to take any more basic classes; I did those already... so it's just on to the specialized classes. As of right now, Im probably going to change my major to Broadcast communications with an emphasis on Audio production and recording.

Now... the other spot of bad news... I may have to move in August, which would suck something hardcore. I would be moving into a living situation with a bunch of people who are not furries and that I do not know very well. As much as I love living here in my nice apartment... I just can't afford it anymore. I thought I could, but things aren't lining up and it's causing my bank account to drain into nothing.

So yeah~ sorry to those who watched me for my art as I haven't posted anything that I did with pen and paper in a good long while. And to those of you who watch for the music... there is more on the way.
