My boyfriend has Corona
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone, just a quick update.
things might slow down for a little bit but (I hope) not too long.
My partner came down with Covid; he's been sick for almost 2 weeks now with a constant fever of 102 that only goes down with constant fever medication. He recently developed a cough and the feeling of heavy lungs.
He's not getting any worse but he's also not getting any better and every day that passes that way is more and more stress on me.
i'm trying really hard to be strong and tell him he's going to be alright and be supportive and positive but it just
mentally tears me down because i'm terrified of losing him especially when we did everything right
Updates on this as it goes; i hope with all my heart its only good news. Our town is quarentined and i'm also very bored

Car Problems

I saved up and bought a car from a rich guy who always kept his car up to date on work cus it was his baby
and I have it like, half a year before the o-rings start leaking (which this type of car is notorious for. we checked it out at a dealer first; it did not have these problems when it was sold so i dont blame the previous owner.)
and then the hood latch broke so i took it in today, owning it a year in a half, to get an estimate on that one other small thing and the o-ring fix and it turns out, from the dealerships mouth, the cheapest way to fix that would be to just buy a used engine and replace mine with it.
and, as i said, these engines are notorious for doing this sort of thing, so it'd really just be a matter of time.
anyways i dont have 5k to fucking do that so i'm on the save-grind for another car that hopefully will actually last.
I dont know man.
Im just so frustrated and tired of doing this dance. u.u

It turns out that wasn't what was wrong with her at all. I wish it was.
I'm stressing out. I dont know how much this is going to cost of if its going to make her die sooner

So, I need to talk about something and I should have a while ago.
I'm not happy with my art. I dont think i'm giving myself the opportunities i need to grow and expand as an artist and while I genuinely appreciate the love and support I get from you guys (and the commissioners for helping support me all these years) I feel like the general genre I get for work here is just ... pretty much the same. NSFW, or pinups. And I dont get excited about doing those things anymore.
So I've decided that i'm going to close down commissions. I dont know for how long, maybe forever, maybe until i get out of this funk.
WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU:
I will not be closing down EVERY form of commission. I'll still keep butts open (those are easy to do), i'll post the occassional YCH and, whenever i'm feeling whimsical i'll open up Wing-It commissions (as these will let me wiggle my art brain much more than pre-chosen poses from the commissioner :3 )
Everything currently in my queue will be finished of course, but that's that until i feel better about where my art is going.

i'm looking for a simple editing software that does basically what windows movie maker used to do.
you know, add pictures, music, video clips, and most importantly of all is the speed up feature for the video clips.
I want to post more speedpaints but i've moved computers and this one doesn't have WMM on it (since Microsoft doesn't support it anymore) :c

Posted 7 years agoHello! Unfortunately on Friday I left my moms house and left my tablet pen there as well. I would have turned around for it but the winter storm was coming and I didn't want to be stuck in it! So I have to wait for her to send it in the mail; she'll (maybe, if she can get out of hte house) ship it out tomorrow but until then I'm using my dads surface pro because it has a pen that comes with it.
This is an entirely new medium for me (drawing on a screen, that is) so things are going... slowly. Hence the delays ;u;
Thank you for being so patient with me, I promise I'll work as fast as I can and hopefully my pen will return from the war soon---

Posted 7 years agoHello all! I'm back safely from New Jersey~ Finally met my boy and we clicked very well and we're official now so i'm really happy about that. Also his family loves me (first time thats ever happened u//w//u) and the entire visit was just wonderful. I got to replace that ring with a new one bought out of love and I'm slowly erasing bitter memories with warm, soft ones.
I'm finally understanding what its like to love someone who's utterly in love with me and it feels great u//w//u
anyways yes, I made it back safely from my trip and after Matsuri-con this weekend my art output should be more consistent again :)

Posted 7 years agoWe went and test drove it and everything was great except for a sound my dad said he heard
so he told the mechanic and the dude said it wasn't good if thats what he heard and that he wasn't going to let us buy it until he checked it out
and so he did and apparently something in the car is like, really really fucked. Like... a little problem now but it wont stay that way long and it'll be thousands of dollars to repair. He said he couldn't in good conscious sell it to us.
I'm relieved i didn't waste the money but i'm fucking sad
