I haven't uploaded any art or wrote any journal-y things in a while, so I just wanted to say hi~

Semester is almost over, so I have to really push myself these next few weeks!

Once summer break begins, I'll do more art stuff.

Also, been consistently going to the gym for the last two months, but I've seen no progress. I might have to up the weights or something. @__@

I also want to dabble in some graphic design work. If anybody has any recommended resource material, that would be greatly appreciated (I bought a little reference book, but I'm not sure how much I should be learning about the subject, haha!).

Oddly enough, instead of feeling like "I can't believe it's already this late at night," I feel like "I can't believe it's barely this late at night." Very curious...

In other news, one more week until Spring Break!! I can't wait to finally veg out for a while~

Also, I finally started going to the gym with a routine! I've only done one week so far, but I feel super excited when I go now and keep getting impatient to go again. I hope this feeling is here to stay, because I would like to build some muscle on this small, weak frame of mine, haha! Don't want to get crazy jacked, but having some noticeable arms, legs, and pecs would be nice...

Saw Zootopia last Monday and it was fantastic! I want to see it a few more times before it's out of theaters.

Been super obsessed with Super Metroid; I play it when I can in my spare time (I didn't play it growing up, so it was a nice new experience as an adult).

I'm very sorry that I haven't been active with art this semester. It's been so difficult with how much homework I get with school, that by the time I have any free time, I want to be lazy. I'm going to try to pump some work out this summer (and maybe even during Spring Break!).

I'm not allowed to wear perfumes, colognes, or fragrant lotions because the customers need to be able to smell the tea leaves. I understand the reason, but I still don't like it, lol. I like smelling super good. DX

It's of course a silly gripe, and if that really is my only complaint, I'd say things are going pretty well.


Still, I miss wearing all of my good-smelling stuff. XDDDDDDDD

Other than that, school and work have been keeping me pretty dang busy this semester.

So sorry for not being around very much to all of those that I would otherwise be chatting with. Hopefully after midterms, things will be a little less hectic (... really banking on that "hopefully" X3 )

So, a few weeks ago, I posted a a message on Tomomi Kobayashi's (See: My favorite artist) website. This evening, I just happened to check it out and she actually replied! She... replied. I'm so happy and excited about it that I'm actually shaking. I wanted to give her a heartfelt thank you in response to her response, so I wrote one. :)


I'm going to get to bed now, and hopefully have fantastic watercolor dreams, lol.

To those who don't know about it, it's a game that's an homage to the SaGa series made by SquareSoft (Romancing SaGa, SaGa Frontier, Final Fantasy Legend). I'm reminded of when Bravely Default came out, except for SaGa instead of Final Fantasy. And since it is an homage to SaGa, they brought back Tomomi Kobayashi for the character designs!! (So exciting!!)

If this isn't really a big deal to you, I totally understand, but I'm just... way excited for this. Like, I don't even know what to compare my excitement to as a point of reference, honestly.

Either way, I'm hoping for great things from this game! ^..^

This whole time, I had no idea shiuk was a salamander, lol.

For some reason, I kind of just assumed they were some kind of canine. XD

Today I just feel so incredibly lazy!
I did my homework earlier and that's pretty much all I've done today, lol.

Like, I feel sluggishly lazy (like I was drugged or something).


Just some lazy bones this day.


What do you all usually do to repair this level of laziness? Or have I pioneered to uncharted territory? XD

Earlier I had classes, and while in the city, I was going to a store at the mall to deliver a resumé (and dressed pretty nicely for it). A friend of mine messaged me asking what I was up to and while I responded, a pigeon pooped right on my shoulder. I felt it and slowly looked at my shoulder in horror. XDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Thankfully it was cold earlier, so I still had my cardigan that I could put over it to deliver the resumé, but I was so embarrassed I thought I was gonna die, lol.

Though I hear getting pooped on by birds is good luck or something, so... fingers crossed.



(...if I don't get the job, it's not a big deal, lol)

So, remember how I was uploading a few pics a day for like, two days? Man, those were good times. Sorry I haven't been uploading anything lately; my drawings have mostly been little sketches and doodles of various reptiles that I've found on Google image search. I've also been practicing drawing some rumps by copying Narse's stuff... I won't upload it, I promise. XD (Narse, if you ever happen across this journal, I'm sorry for copying. DX But It's given me a better idea of how tails should look on anthro reptiles. And don't worry, I don't think I could replicate your style if I tried. Thank you for being such an awesome artist! ^^)

Also, school has started and I like my classes so far. Not too demanding of free time, luckily.

And since my roomie got into Monster Hunter, I find my free time winds up going to that if not doodling (haha)!
It's so much fun. <3

I think I've come to a point where I don't really know what my fursona is. I do like otters and find them very cute, but I almost feel like my preferences change so much that it's silly to settle on one. For the time being, the otter called "Rope" is still representative of me, but I don't think I can have just that one. I know that being fickle/indecisive is a negative trait and I'm really working on it, but for now, I'm going to be playing with the idea of changing species.

I think it would be good to hear what you all have to say regarding the matter. Further, if any of you have any advice on how to become more decisive or less fickle, I would greatly appreciate it.


Also, I actually have a few species I have been considering; they are:

- Lizard (a fairly generic one)
- Goat
- Frog
- Bird of some sort

For as many bunnies as I've been drawing, that's one I hadn't really considered, haha.

Hey all! I started actually posting again and then got a surprise visit from my cousin and her friend (which was an awesome surprise; I love those gals XD )

As of late, it has become a ritual of mine to listen to Richard Harris's song Macarthur's Park daily. I never gave the song much thought before, but I seem to have fallen under its spell.


I've also become infatuate with Escaflowne's closing, Mystic Eyes. >.>

Which ones are your favorite? Are there any particular reasons why? I admit I'm a bit curious to learn about everyone's opinion of the franchise (after playing a ton of Curtain Call, lol).

For the longest time for me, it was VI (and Cyan will always remain one of my favorite FF characters), but I played IV for the first time this winter and instantly fell in love with it. I like all of the characters, the music is wonderful, and I actually really like how simple the plot is to the game. I don't want to ramble too much, so if you'd like to, please share your opinions on the topic~ ^__^


(Sorry, last thing: as a sort of side note, I do actually really like XIII as well; the music is lovely, the battle system is fun to me, and I honestly like all of the characters in that one, too. I put it in second to IV.)

Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant watching it with several localized things, but it seems okay so far. I'm glad kids in North America these days at least get a chance to see Doraemon ^^

His music takes me back to a very young age and makes me feel safe and happy.
