And, for the lucky person who gets my 1000 screen shot [yush, I wanna see a screen shot for this], they'll get a piccie of their choice. Be forewarned. I don't really draw porn. Sure, I've done some images in the past, but I don't really like drawing them. So, good luck to whomever catches the 1000th! ^^; it's at 965 at the moment...

It's sort of hard to say. Many books have changed my outlook on life. However, if I have to pick one it would have to be 'Bhadgavad-Gita As It Is'. I find it rare that a book will actually get me thinking really hard about things I've done in life. I haven't even made it through chapter two and I find myself putting the book down a lot as I think about some of which is said it in.
2. One book you have read more than once?
The two I've read the most would be Mercedes Lackey's and Ellen Guon's 'Bedlam's Bard,' and 'Dream Boy,' by Jim Grimsley.
3. One book you would want on a desert island?
"How to Survive in the Wilderness for Dummies."
4. One book that made you laugh?
Just about any of the Angela Knight romance... um... erotica books.
5. One book that made you cry?
'Dream Boy.'
6. One book you wish had been written?
"Brain Surgery for Dummies!" ;p Not really. It would probably be a book that takes place between 'Bedlam's Bard' and 'Spirits White as Lightening.'

Posted 19 years agoAlrighteh. I have a feelin' that these two weeks comin' up are going to be one of the best two weeks ever (well, that I can have without Em and Jim). I really need a break from school. I don't think I've been sleepin' too well and I have very little time t' do anything not school related. Granted, there are times in the day where I check my fanfiction before gettin' back to work of some sort. *sigh* The GF and BF think I spend too much time on the compie. They may be right, but it's usually with work. Usually, tho, the tend to come out when I'm renderin' something [and I don't do anything work wise when I'm renderin'] and see me readin' fanfiction [<<;; I'm addicted to some.. eheh]. This gets 'em a li'l miffed at me cause they think that's all I'm doing.
On the bright side of things I only have two quarters left. Then it's off to the workin' world (where I'll -hopefully- be less stressed). @@; I'm gonna get a job asap so I can start payin' back my loans. <<; This is gonna suuuuuck.
There may be a chance that my aunt is gettin' me a freelance job with her company. *crosses her fingers* I can hope.

Bad news
Posted 19 years agoI got home from classes yesterday, went to turn on my comp and... nothing. I let the battery charge all night... nothing.
My laptop is probably dead. Figures that it'd happen right before finals, too. I spent most of yesterday depressed and crying [all my art work, works in progress, school work, and stuff for portfolio were on my hard drive].
So.. yea. To those I owe work to I WILL get around to it... when I can get to a comp that I can use and when I finish up finals for class.
Oy vey. Karma has come to bite me in the ass. This is what I get for sayin' to Jorge that "At least my comp hasn't died," when yappin' about school work. Arg! I"m so fuckin' screwed!
And now I'm off to do final stuff that was partially rendered out at home...

These will be posted in my journal. That way I can cross 'em off as I finish, and you folks won't think that I'm BSin' anything. <<; Just as a warnin' to you folks... I hate writing poetry - hell, most of what I've done so far are haikus that I had posted on http://interplanar.proboards23.com . What I want to do, though, is to yoink the poems I have at home that I had to do for my creative writing class in high school. ^^; Granted, a lot of those are of me being either angsty, or pining for a girl who was straight, which I thought was rather unfortunate at the time.
Oh yes. I also had a poem requested from :devwerechibi: - a friend o' mine from back home in VA. XD How would ya'll like to read a ballad about an epic battle between the llama calvary and the gnome brigade? For some reason, my mind plays a funnier version of what could have been seen for Sidhe Beg Sidhe Mor. Ja.... <<; I have issues. Don't mind me. I'm currently livin' off of a two hour nap.

Starting the 100 drawing test.. sort of
Posted 19 years agoWell, not in drawing, yet. I want to get all 100 poems finished, first.
You see, thanks to RaveWolf, I've decided to test myself by doing a two stepper thingy. First I'm coming up with 100 poems. Then I'm going to draw pictures to go with said poems. The poems, however, will not appear until I submit the deviations.
And, of course, this will be on the back burner. @@ I'll finish everything I owe people first before I start. <<; So this could take a while... At least writing poems doesn't take too much time away in the day.

Back Injury
Posted 19 years agoWanna know somethin' that really sucks? Some how managing to either tear or otherwise injure a ligament in your back. It hurts like fucking hell. I can't really move much of my upper body without wanting to curl up in pain and pretending the world doesn't exist. However, when attempting to do so once I ended up screaming in pain.
Yeeeeeeeeea... This really fucking sucks. I also had t' end up callin' my tutor kids and cancellin' anything set for t'day because when I was just standing I felt like crying.
What was I doin' to manage something this stupid and painful? No clue. I -think- I was stretching. Maybe I was cracking my back. All I remember after snugglin' with the GF is that my back was screaming bloody murder.
Accordin' to Jim I have a slight bruise right in the center of all this pain. I doubt I'm really gonna be doin' any other work besides school related until this goes away. Until then... eheh. Life is really gonna suck.

Sushi is my current god
Posted 19 years agoYes, it most definately is. And, apparently, I do a good job at makin' it on my own. So, last night I made some sushi for me, Ray and Emi. o.o Did you know that putting sweet azuki beans into a rice ball makes for a most excellent dessert type rice ball? ^^ Same thing with apples. <<; I like experimenting. Eheh.
o.o I was complimented on makin' the sushi, too. ^^ So apparently I'm some sort of awesome figure in Ray's eyes - I make sushi AND coffee. Woot. Shame I can't have any of the coffee, tho. *sigh* I want my decaf!! ><

Posted 19 years agoYush! I met Cesarin the White Dragon today. ^^ It was a lot of fun walkin' around downtown Pittsburgh and playin' tourguide. <<; I may have lived here for about 2-2 1/2 years, but there are still some things I don't know... and I get lost easily. Eheh....
<<; I think I was a horrible tourguide. ^^; Still, I thought it was fun. ;p Even if there was a lot of silence I didn't mind. ^^; I tend to say a lot of stupid, pointless things if I talk too much. Eheh.
Anyways, to those attendin' AC, enjoy Pittsburgh, avoid dark creepyish areas at night (such as the Strip District. It gets scaaaaaary at night), and have lot's o' fun!

Also I did well with two of my finals. Before turnin' them in I had an 89 in both classes. Wee!
The three other finals will be okies as well. One is just texturin', one is animatin', and the last one is just a test. Weeee!
Only three more days until the quarter is over. *huge sigh of relief* Thank the gods. I'm so burnt out from this quarter that the three week break is lookin' reeeeeeeeeeally good.

Posted 19 years agoI seem to be under a lot of it lately, and it's not from school. Remember the rant about not being able to do anything right? Apparently the roomie really agrees with that and doesn't mind voicing her opinion to friends of ours. However, these "friends" seem to be more loyal to her and won't really say a thing to me.
Last Friday I lost my keys. That night I couldn't sleep well. I woke up exhausted and I was in serious pain thanks to my period. By the end of my tutorin' session with Janet I could not for the life of me remember the two classes I had that day. When I stepped out of the building to walk home I realized I didn't hear the jingle of my keys. It took me a while to realize I hadn't heard it for a long time. I thought I was a moron and left them at home when I ran back in to check for them. Luckily for me Jim was already waiting for me when I got to the apartment. I went to check the apartment, tho, to pray that the roomie was there. She wasn't - Fridays are date night for her and her mate.
So, in tears of frustration I went home with Jim. I -finally- got a hold of the roomie Friday night when she got home and we made plans to meet at the apartment at some point so I could get some clothes and my school stuff.
Fast forward to me waiting. Apparently she and a "friend" of mine were talking trash about me, Jim, and Em on their way up. Seems as if they didn't notice that their car was sitting there. That is until Jim heard his name, turned around, and caught the "friend's" eye when he moved to get out of the car. He didn't, but she blanched a li'l, accordin' to him, and immediately shut up. The roomie, however... yea.. *sigh*
I guess when they were out of earshot the "friend" started to talk again. The only reason I assume this is because they were talking about me when they got off the elevator. The entire time I was in their presence I could feel that they really didn't like me anymore.
Seriously, I don't know what I did wrong. I stopped being so "emo" around them (they said I acted like that and a total bitch toward them last quarter when I started to date Em and Jim), and treated them like friends again. However, this quarter it felt as if they both walked all over me.
I'm really just sick of it. I'm at the point where I don't care at all if I ever see them again. Maybe then this stress I feel will go away once I'm in a better atmosphere. Maybe I won't have those horrible breakdowns anymore and contemplate jumping from a tenth story balcony. Maybe my life will actually seem much better without those two.
Sure, we had some great times together. Things changed, tho. Sad that a girl known for 17 years and considered her a best friend for those years is starting to be viewed this much of a pain.
I'm probably as much a pain to her as she is to me. Oh well. Shit happens and some things are just meant to be left in the past and never looked at again.

On top of that, I need to finish packing, make sure my side of the room isn't a wreck for when the roomie's 'rents come over to help move her stuff this weekend. More than likely I'll take a lot of stuff home with me to VA, and just bring back what I know I'll need. I -could- end up havin' mum and da take me over to Em's and Jim's so I can drop some things off there next Friday.
On the 17th I will -hopefully- have my driving improvement class and get my liscense back. ><; It reeeeeeeally sucks that I don't at the moment. I hate having to rely on others for rides, no matter how dependable they are. On the bright side I can at least walk everywhere here in Pittsburgh at the moment. However, once I move in with Em and Jim I can't very well do that - they live about 11 miles away from the school. At least in VA I can get around on a bike if need be...
I do want to get a bus pass, too. That way if either of them or out roomies can't bring me to AIP I can snag a ride on a bus. For some reason, tho, I don't really like the sound of that...
Anyway, plans for home will hopefully include the continuation of the Star Wars RPG. That, however, is entirely up to the GM's tolerance of me. *eyeroll* That's unlikely. Also, there will be much swimming since my aunt has a pool. o.o I hope that the hot tub is workin' now. *crosses her fingers* Of course, there will be the doctor's appointments, as well as a hair appointment. *looks at her mane* 'eesh. Long hair is annoyin' as hell. I can't see how Em stands it. There will be hangin' out with friends. >) I get to inflict them with my bread. Mwahaha. ;p With as big of a hit it is here I shouldn't be too worried. Oh yea.. I'll also be workin' on my portfolio as well... Oh fuckin' joy.
As for any other plans... I'll just make 'em up as I go.
At least after this all I need t' do it toss the targas into After Effects and render it out. I just hope that I can remember what I need to for class so I don't muck things up.

Posted 19 years agoI need you to choose one of the following scenarios. I'm gonna need an answer of some sort by Friday at the latest. Some of these are kinda like the choose your own adventure books...
1. The Cross-dressing Tailor
Lexia - pic ref http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/16804519/ - shows a downward angle; close up of her working on a dress that someone is in. After accidentally jabbing herself with the needle, she reaches for a thimble. However, she can't seem to find it. Before she can react someone taps her shoulder - it's the girl she's working on. With a grin she offers Lexia the thimble.
2. Come Weary Travelers
Vayu [kid] - pic refs http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/33917835/ and http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/19065192/ (just imagine her at the age of eight) Vayu's sitting in a grove on a stump playing her flute. A shadow is seein in the foreground and it turns out to be an elf. [choose either to stop playing or ignore]
Ignore - Vayu continues to play as the elf gradually creeps closer. Soon he's within arms length of her and he blinks. Suddenly Vayu pokes him and grins kinda like "got'cha!" The elf yelps, falls on his backside and scrambles away before poofing in a cloud of smoke.
Stop playing - She looks around before looking at the shadow. He looks quite surprised. He then hides behind the tree he was near and disappears in a poof of smoke.
Ending - Vayu quirks an eyebrow and shrugs before going back to playing her flute.

[opt 1 comes to here] She turns back around to enjoy her drink. Another person taps her shoulder. She starts to get pissed, but turns around to see that it's a different person, and he's offering the knife that the would be thief had on him. She grins, takes it and salutes the guy with it. Then she turns back to her drink.

[opt 2] Smash
Her right hand glows as she goes to punch it. When she hits it nothing happens, but her hand hurts.
Getting angry she goes to punt the pedestal the crystal ball is on. This, like the punch, only hurts her. She holds her foot as she hops around in pain. She doesn't notice that she's hopping toward the stairs and she trips on them.

Posted 19 years agoSo this quarter is goin' pretty well for me. I have been gettin' everything done on time class wise. The project involvin' the penguins seems like it's gonna be my longest project.
What I have done:
Scene is

Posted 19 years agoAt least in the eyes of my roomie. Just a few more weeks tho, and she'll be gone, as will I.
Wanna know what happened? Well, lately I've been baking bread and giving some of the loaves to friends. I figured home made bread makes a nice gift to people that are in college.
Well, the roomie comes home and asks why I baked bread. Duh. I wanted to. How many loaves? Five. She starts to freak out. Two of the real small ones, and the three larger tins. That's as many bread tins as we have. She doesn't like the fact that I do it and doesn't seem to understand why I do it. Then she procedes to do dishes and puts some stuff away, slamming the drawers as she does so. She said something along the lines of that she was glad she didn't have to buy staples all the time (I told her I was goin' to the store tomorrow to buy flour and sugar since we're out of them. I had planned this after I made the bread earlier today anyway)
What really pissed me off was that she acts like she buys the food for the apartment all the time. Does she? Tch, hells no. We go to walmart and I buy all the food (grams gave me a walmart card to do this with). She pays for the non food items we both use as well as stuff she just uses. Granted, this past time I couldn't use my card because I went a few dollars over without realizin' it. She didn't seem to mind then.
You know, I could understand her being pissed at me if she had a li'l more reason to. Maybe I'm missing something but I really don't know what it is. I just can't seem to do a fuckin' thing right in her eyes... I'll be glad when this quarter is over. Then we'll be out of each other's hair and we'll both be saner.

Strange Happenings

I was yappin' about graduation with Ruth and Mako the other night and it turns out that I'll be gettin' outta here a quarter earlier than Ruth. ~.= This sorta has me goin' WTF since we came here at the same time, and she had more credits than I did. I looked at the GAD class list and it's no longer than the MAA list. o.o; What happened? I am confuzzled.

Posted 19 years agoYea. I just haven't been coming here too terribly often lately. It's mainly because of the lag I get when browsing. Seriously, it shouldn't take ten minutes to clear out one page of submissions...
Things have been going well as of late. Broke up with the one guy and life has gotten much happier. After next quarter I'm moving out of the "dorms" that AIP has given us and moving in with my new mates.
Currently I'm waiting on a doctor's call... I highly doubt I'm getting that, so I'm going to call them around nine-ish... Gods, I wish that they would have called so I wouldn't worry...

Posted 20 years agoI apologize. I was not directing it at anyone, really. The Advent Christian in the comment was my ex.
I know that not all Christians try to convert others, and that they respect other people's religions. However, my ex-mate did not and I believe that the day I did this was probably the third time he tried to convert me after he had promised me he wouldn't any more. I wanted an outlet of the anger I was feeling so I did a really sketchy thing in photoshop. When I typed up the description it was also an outlet to my anger.
The piece is now down, and my anger that brought it to be has long subsided.

Ruth just now opened her diet tonic water. It was opened once already, mind you. However, WITH NO OUTSIDE INFLUENCE... the bloody thing exploded all over me, Ruth, her comp, two blankets, and two dog beds. I'm surprised my compie escaped the wrath of the tonic water.
Yeeeeeeea.. Don't piss of the house imps. They cause things to go explodie.
