Update on owed art
Posted 4 years agoFirst I’d like to apologize for the long wait, I’m still grieving over my aunt who lost her battle to breast cancer on June 28th at 2:39am…My aunt’s memorial service is being held Saturday July 10th. Sunday July 11th I will take a day to myself, completely away from social media and everything…. Monday July 12th I will do my best to motivate myself to get back to the computer and at least finish anything owed. I may not stream for a while, mainly because I’m not feeling 100% social, for that I apologize as well. I understand some of you would be ok just watching me draw your piece and not talking, but sometimes you need to interact with your customer to make sure the piece comes out in exactly the way they’d like it to.
Again I’m deeply sorry that some of you have been waiting a while (basically since I got the news of my aunt being diagnosed in the first place) and there’s no excuse for not making sure my customers are all treated equally, fairly and given a decent turn around time….

My aunt Carmen lost her battle with breast cancer. She is now at peace and my family says they are as well, since we had plenty of time to prepare..
Me personally. I’m not ready nor was I prepared so I have gone into full shut down mode. I’m not mentally here nor do I feel any emotions. Please do not DM me about this situation. I thank you all in advance for the will wishes and prayers. And please any customer waiting on work give me just a brief grievance period. I promise I will get back up and running to my old self like I used to in no time.
Also if there’s anything my aunt’s death taught me is; life is short. Take small risks. Look for love. Love yourself. Forget those who use or abuse you. And always, ALWAYS tell the people you love that you love them. Even if y’all are fighting. Tomorrow is NEVE promised. No matter how may times I fought with my mate or family I always said I love you before leaving or hanging up.

Posted 4 years agoTHIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT MAY COME OFF AS WEIRD...
As most of you know my aunt has roughly 2 months to live because her breast cancer is spreading so rapidly she is no longer a candidate for chemo.. Also I was just informed she may never be able to get out of her bed because her bones are so weak. They were going to start physical therapy and give her a bar to pull her upper torso up into a sitting position, her bones are so brittle even doing that would break her sternum... so I had an idea and I'd like all of you to participate... and by the way I'm typing this with tears in my eyes...
I would like to get everyone here and in my discord to say something inspiring to my aunt, something filled with love and inspiration (and if you're an artist perhaps a small doodle of a fairy, they are her most treasured creatures and she believes whole-heartedly they exist, I will pay if I must... I just want her to see there's love and goodness in this world and I thought what other place than a place where people come together to be accepted for who they are on the inside.) I know y'all don't know her which is why this comes off as weird and kinda dumb (I'm so scared to post this and look like a fool). We are having a surprise luau for her next weekend. She had always wanted to go to Hawaii and before she was told she couldn't she was going to take me and my mate and my little sister because, my sister and I are her favorites, she always whispers I'm more faved than my sister but that's not the point. We are bringing Hawaii to her. My other aunt found a company that sets up your backyard with like sandboxed areas (boxes are kind of invisible) Palm Trees, tiki torches and tiki bars. And my plan is to print out all the nice and wonderful things you guys say (or draw) and give them to her on that day and tell her, "When ever you're feeling at your lowest, pick a random one from the pile and read it. These people only know of you through me and they wanted to spread their love for you from all across the globe..."
So if anyone is interested in this I'll leave a comment up below until the day or two before the party called "Carmen's Inspirational Corner" where you all can leave loving vibes and inspirational sayings from your heart or online and for any artist to leave something with fairies just for her... she's been the reason behind the pride themed streams. Not just cause it's Pride Month but because she's a lesbian and helped me come out and this... will be the only Pride month we can spend together as open to the world of our sexuality....
I apologize if this creeps anyone out but... the aunt that believed in everything I did and always accepted who I was and what I dressed like and helped me come out to my parents so I could celebrate my first pride month as an openly Bisexual woman... this woman means just as much to me as my mother or father so losing her is losing BIG piece of me and I just want her to smile... so please.... for me.. and if you are creeped out enough to unfollow me... I'll understand....

Posted 4 years agoSince Monday life has been hell for this little kitten.
I was diagnosed with a 'severe' kidney infection.
I thought things were on the mend until today.
I ended back in the ER with severe bladder pains,
morphine and dilaudid (7x stronger than morphine)
couldn't stop the pain. I was sent home with no answers...
but here's the part that is the reason behind the journal.
After I got home I was phoned by my little sister... My
Aunt who has breast cancer isn't well... It's spread to her
lungs and she will not be doing chemo because of a fracture
in her pelvis and overall just not good health...
My mother asked the doctor realistically how long does she
have with us... He said about 2 months...
So that being said I will finish the stream commissions in my
queue offline for now. But when and if I do stream, I will NOT
be very talkative it'll strictly be about business and for that I'm sorry
this woman is and forever will be my role model.
She helped me come out as bisexual to my parents and has
been my #1 supporter when it comes to my art, furry or not.
Every thing I make she looks at with such admiration and wonder
it makes my heart melt. She looks at all my art like a child looks
at kittens and puppies. Even my worst drawings were like gold to
her. So for that, from this day forward I will make sure every piece
I do is at it's best and strive to better myself and make my work
the best that it can be, for her.

Attention those waiting on stream commissions!
Posted 4 years agoThere are those I owe and some that are recent. I was supposed to stream today @ 2pm Central Standard Time but due to a migraine that has me nauseous and vomiting, as well as sensitivity to light, I’m going to postpone the stream until later this evening.
I also got an update on my aunt who has terminal breast cancer. She won’t be moving into the apartment we got for her. Due to her broken pelvis and cast on her foot (from an infected dog bite that reached the bone) she cannot be left unattended. She will be moved into an assisted living facility where there’s 24hr nurse care. So with this update along with my migraine I’m pushing the stream back.
If my migraine goes away (hopefully) I’ll be streaming tonight around 8pm Central Standard Time. If I cannot get rid of the migraine along with the nausea and sensitivity to light then the stream will be pushed to tomorrow at 12pm (noon) Central Standard Time.
Thank you all for understanding. If I can I may work on some commissions bit by bit offline. So sorry for any inconvenience.

Prayers for my Aunt
Posted 4 years agoI sit here with tears streaming down my face as I write this journal to update old and new commissioners. I recently found out my aunt had breast cancer after going in for a scan from an infected dog bite to her foot. Not only did the infection reach the bone and she may lose her foot but she also found out about the cancer. We didn’t know how bad it was... until last week or so... she’s terminal. It’s in her breasts, wrists, liver, spleen, pelvis, elbows, etc.
That being said. If it takes your commission a wee bit longer than normal it’s due to me coping with the fact that I’m going to lose my most beloved aunt and we don’t know when. There was no time given. And I know that means we could have years and years left. But tomorrow is never certain and I’ve learned that the hard way one too many times in my life. So. I’m making this journal as not only a warning for sudden break downs mid streams or disappearances... I’m also making this as an apology for not being the artist I was and separating home and work...
This aunt I speak of gave me the courage to come out not only to my family as a bisexual female but to come out to the world. She’s shown me no matter what life throws at ME, I’m strong enough to over come it because I’ve already overcome so much in my 31 years. She always reminds me to keep drawing to keep moving forward with my art because she believes in me. She believes in my talent and always has since I was little. She’s my rock outside of my mom and sister. (I don’t get along with the women on my dad’s side and the other women on my mom’s)
She’s made me who I am today along with the help of my mom and dad and so many furs I’ve met through this site and in the fandom in general. So again. This is a forewarning that turn arounds for art will very not only because of my fibromyalgia but because of my mental health and for that I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart.
I love you all. Cherish those you love and respect. No matter the age. Like I said earlier. Tomorrow is NEVER promised. Take today as if it were your last. Cherish every waking moment you have. Love yourself and those around you. Be kind and be safe my fur friends.

- If you cannot pay the full payment upfront, just talk to me I am willing to work out a payment plan with you if necessary.
- If you would like to receive WIP pieces please provide me with a working email to where I can send the pieces for your approval. If you do not provide me with this email before the starting of your piece you will not be receiving a WIP piece.
- Remember I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Say you don't read my T.O.S. agreement and don't follow the rules of commissioning me I can refuse service to you, simple as that.
- Do not ask for gift art I am not going to be doing gift art for a while, IF and when I do it'll be for someone that I believe deserves it and free art is free art, don't go looking for it because you won't find it here.
- If you will be receiving a free piece of art do not harass me on when it'll be finished and do not harass my friends or family about it, it'll get you no where. My paying customers come first and foremost.
-No SECOND LIFE references are acceptable, PERIOD!! Do not try and sneak one in. For first time offenders you will be rejected, second time will result in kicking out of the stream, third time is a permanent ban from my furaffinity page and stream.
- No ref usually means no artwork. I have been having trouble with people trying to tell me what character they want without any art to back it up. I as the artist can only work with what I am given so if you are not detailed enough I will more than likely fail to give you what you wanted so I am sorry to say but if you cannot provide me with a ref sheet I may turn you down. I will show you examples of good and bad descriptions:
BAD I want a purple fox with orange tips. (This tells me nothing about the character, is it male or female, does it have traditional fox like markings, what orange tips?)
GOOD I would like a traditional marked fox with purple base fur, white under fur and tail tip, black markings such as on the muzzle, ear and tail. No claws on the hands or paw pads except on the feet. The character is male and I would like for him to have yellow eyes and his hair fluff a bit longer so that it covers over his eyes. His hair fluff should match the base color of his fur. (This is a pretty good description of what the customer wants and it is very easy for me to read out the character instead of guessing what they want. If you are not good at describing something try and sketch it out whether you're a talented artist or not it'll help me and other artists you are wanting to commission. Or have a friend help you describe what you want.)
If you cannot describe to me in the way of the example then I will have to turn you down. I cannot waste time on one picture constantly fixing it because you cannot tell me EXACTLY what you want the first time.
-When commissioning me you will get ONE change to the final product, after that change I will have to charge $5 a change to the piece because it's taking time away from the other pieces that are waiting behind yours.
- Again please read this fully before commissioning me, I will know if you have not read it. I do not have time to go in and ask you a bunch of questions about a piece you are wanting from me. It makes it easier on both parties if you know what you want and know how to tell me.
- Once work has been completed NO REFUNDS will be given, you are entitled to the piece itself but because you don't like the final product doesn't mean you can get a refund. I did the work I get the cost for my time and effort put into the piece. If the work has not been started or the sketch isn't going the way you wanted let me know and I will fix it. If it's still not up to par then I will give you a partial refund for my time and effort put into it. If I have not started the piece AT ALL is the only time you will be given a full refund, period.
