General | Posted 16 years agoAmanda's tattoo design is done. Its a heart shaped lock and key. Its cool, but best of all.... now she'll leave me ALONE. hahahaha.
I will be busy most of the day tomorrow, but I'll be working a bit on Riyoku's pin up in the morning and again monday morning before I head to work. You should see it in a couple days max.

General | Posted 16 years agoI'm trying not to flip out.... truly am trying very hard... but after a night with no sleep whatsoever.... the stress is driving me crazy. My dad had chest pains among other things yesterday and had to go to the ER and then get admitted to the hospital.
I have to watch Tommy while my sister goes to work so my mom can go see him before he has to have more tests later this morning/afternoon. I really hope he comes back tonight, but I'm doubtful.

So... new artwork and commission status update!
General | Posted 16 years agoCommissions for Riyoku and Amanda will be absolutely done this weekend. I may or may not get Prowlers icons finished this week before I leave Friday morning for my vacation. I'll be trying for sure! I want to amp up my artwork quality soon, and when these commissions are done, thats it for a while, unless I feel like doing something random once in a while. (Which is actually not very likely. With my job working 2pm-12am, I barely have time to take care of myself, cat, and house, let alone commissions. I think Im going to fall back on only doing artwork for me to try and get my creative spark back)
I havent seriously done artwork for me (as in more than 1 piece back to back) in probably over 3 years. Its time to get back to my stories, and characters that have been both severely neglected and newly created in my head.
Alot of my characters are human, vampire, fae, spirit animal, demons and angels.... so Im not sure how much of it will be posted on this site. Honestly I've fallen off the DA bandwagon too... so who knows what I'll do. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

General | Posted 16 years agoSo, after staying up nearly all night with my cat, helpless and watching him have such labored breathing and in obvious pain, and then realizing he was avoiding me and hiding because something was terribly wrong, I took him to the Emergency Clinic.
He has a urinary blockage. He wasn't eating, drinking, or using his box, and the Vet told me his blockage was critical and life threatening. They felt it (not without pain medication because he was in too much pain for even a routine exam)and his bladder was hard as a rock. If left untreated another day, his blood could have went septic and he could have died.
Good news, I got him there in time to save him.
Bad news, I now have a $1,400 Vet Bill. (I need to raise about $600)
Funds: $227/ $600

$10 gets you a 3/4 to full body sketch/ink
$20 gets that sketch colored without a background
$26 gets you that sketch colored with a background
+$5 each additional character for sketches
+$10 each additional character for CGs
+50% of total for sexual situations/themes

For that, and the watchers who are waiting for their art as well as all my friends on FA waiting for me to update, I'm sorry. Life's been a bit hectic lately. I still have a list of commissions Im trying to work on, but its slow going. Please be patient with me!!! Once my commission list is cleared off, be sure to expect fanarts and original art to follow.

Once my commissions are taken care of I plan on launching two projects to occupy my time this spring/summer. The first is writing a story thats been in my head for.... 6 years. This story will be also illustrated, and be rather short, a 13 chapter novella with 13-16 full illustrations. (This will be centered on my story of God & Lucifer and be anime fantasy)
The second project will be the artwork and short intorductory comic for a story my friend and I are co writing. This well hopefully evolve into a more novel-type length. I am responsible for character concepts (human, sidhe, fae, lycanthrope and vampires) as well as illustrations of the various rooms and main areas the story takes place in.

General | Posted 17 years agoWell, new year and new problems... I started it off by being terribly sick I even had to miss work. I'm sorry beyond words to the people that said they would commission me back when I moved from CA to NY. As it stands, I will only be finishing the commissions from people that have already paid me. I'm sorry but the rest of you are being taken off my list. You never Pm/note/email me so I have to assume you've forgotten about them, which is okay with me.

General | Posted 17 years agoI'm healing from the end of my 3 year relationship and move across the country and as soon as the commissions and gifts on my current list are done, I'll be starting up "Art for Me". I dont want to be hindered by huge constraints like some commissions place on the artist. Don't get me wrong, sometimes its nice and actually fun to be inspired by someone elses character, or color scheme, or just the way they CG in general, and I'll still be up for that sort of thing. I just wont be taking orders for "I want my OC posed like so, with this in the background, and this color scheme, looking this way". Thats a little too restricting for me right now.
I want to give myself a chance to breath and try to expand in my knowledge of art. I want to work on furthering my skill as an artist.
I'm toying with the idea of selling any original marker, painting, or colored pencil works I might do. Not sure if I'll be auctioning them or just setting a price. (At least for the ones I can bare to part with that is)
I DO need to start stashing cash for Anthrocon'09 so if you have loose ideas, like an animal and a color scheme, I'll still take commissions like that, and any type of fanart as well. Also BADGES (in marker and or colored pencil on bristol) and also CG icons are still open.
I hope everyone can understand where I'm coming from and I really want to continue to update my gallery with artwork you'll enjoy looking at!

October Update
General | Posted 17 years agoI bought my car today. 2003 Hyundai Elantra. Its a nice riding car and I know people that have bought the elantra and the accent, I'll have a photo up of it soon. I'm also contemplating once these commissions are taken car of, only opening commissions to reach my $100/month goal to pay my insurance. It would help me out if I could.... plus help me get art done in a quicker manor.

Sorry to people waiting on commissions, I'll get to them ASAP I swear! I'm.... getting sick/am very sick at the moment. General | Posted 17 years agoI'm sorry commissions are taking me so long to get through, I've just been running ragged between cleaning, fixing computers (which mine is fixed now!), doing homework and readings for my online class . (Im writing my huge 1/5th of my total grade paper right now).
Starting on 9/28 I will be working on commissions on all of my free time. People that have already paid me will get theirs done first. Then the people that have responded to the notes I send out today will be next.
I'm sorry it has been taking me so long, life has smacked me upside the head recently with a new full time job and serious training and possibly overtime.

General | Posted 17 years agoI got my art computer and set it all up, but its giving me some crap about a boot drive and... its a homemade computer so... Im digging threw my boxes looking for the stupid CD not knowing if I even have one. I can do art on the laptop if I absolutely have to, its just laggy as hell.
Im hungry.... and its Monday! I have homework to do.... probably 2 hrs of reading or so. I'm going to see Tropic Thunder with friends today.... god its so nice to be around friends again!

Semi Miserable
General | Posted 17 years agoI love being in NY and with family, but I miss my boyfriend and one of my best friends something wicked. Falling into a depression, which I knew I was going to do... but I should still be able to get everyone's sketches done this week. UPS is saying my big computer will be here on Friday and I have until then to try and find a work table big enough for the computer and my sewing machine.
I wish I could lay down and have a good cry. Being single after 3 years of love is hard. I still love him, I think I always will, and in some ways when you really fall in love the first time it never really goes away.
Love is like malaria, once it gets under your skin its there forever and you never know when its gonna rear up and make itself known. I feel that way now, I'll go all day and be fine, then one song or word from someone and I'll feel so unbearably sad I just want to cry.
Needless to say, Im going to drown myself in my commission work and school work... and look for a full time job and a car so Im not trapped at home so much.

My commission prices are $5-$20 for icons and illustrations. $30-$50 for references. I do vore, and porn for an addition of $10 to the base price. Anything really bloody or... hardcore is an additional $15.
My online class is a huge time and energy drain, but Im taking breaks from that to work on commissions, so you can be sure to get a sketch in a week from ordering, and the final CG no more than a month from payment received.
Im starting to flip out and worry. I fly home on Saturday night/Sunday morning and Im in desperate need of money, because my cell phone broke, so every tiny bit helps.
Anya, Katzy, and Footman: Im really working on trying to get your pieces done in the next week. Totally done before I get on the plane. (and I installed my photoshop on my laptop, so even if I dont finish something I can hopefully finish it on my plane ride)

My commission prices are $5-$20 for icons and illustrations. $30-$50 for references. I do vore, and porn for an addition of $10 to the base price. Anything really bloody or... hardcore is an additional $15.
My online class is a huge time and energy drain, but Im taking breaks from that to work on commissions, so you can be sure to get a sketch in a week from ordering, and the final CG no more than a month from payment received.
Im starting to flip out and worry. I fly home on Saturday night/Sunday morning and Im in desperate need of money, because my cell phone broke, so every tiny bit helps.
Anya, Katzy, and Footman: Im really working on trying to get your pieces done in the next week. Totally done before I get on the plane. (and I installed my photoshop on my laptop, so even if I dont finish something I can hopefully finish it on my plane ride)

That right! The calm one! The quiet and shy one is feeling homicidal today. Nothing against any of my friends here of course, but when you are woken up at 7:10 AM by electric drills and nailgun happy retards who are CONSTANTLY feeding their table saws.... even the most sane individual would want to kill something.
Add to that Im lonely and bored, and my diet didnt do shit for my weight this week and Im kinda down.
Then I need to clean up the apartment a little but because I'm in such a rare mood I'm thinking of working on that adult themed pic Ive been tossing around in my head for... oh since I joined FA like 2 weeks ago.
Anyone remember that scene in the movie Pie? (as in the mathmatical symbol for Pie...3.14.......) Where the guy puts an electric drill to his temple?
I'm daydreaming of doing that to some of the people working 50 feet from my bedroom and livingroom windows..... Maybe I could get someone to hold them down for me???

General | Posted 17 years agoI was a bit listless this morning. Erik left for NY for a week, and while I decided I was going to use the time to work on art everyday, it seemed daunting this morning. Plus I overdid it with biking 6+ miles for the last 3 days in a row and I was feeling it when I woke up. When something burns, you know its working XD
So.... the construction outside had me shut the windows. the heat wave broke yesterday and I didnt die from lack of a breeze.
I've read a book, between yesterday and this morning. Finished it even though the quiet, or relative quiet was buzzing around my ears. The place is usually quiet during the days though, as both Erik and my roomy Casey work 9-5.... but today the silence was annoying.
Have you ever been just overcome by a song out of nowhere? I decided enough was enough, had lunch and plugged in the headphones and went to pandora.com. Shit, it was a song I have on my ipod, but still, it kicked my ass, and made me grin like a cat. Has a song every made you fucking happy? Not just happy or giddy, but FUCKING HAPPY?
I am now, and with this energy Im going to do some artings.... OH! Since no one wanted a free sketch Im taking the slot and doing a picture of my own fursona, since I have FINALLY decided on markings and coloring and such.

General | Posted 17 years agoI've been on the site for almost a week, and I've posted just about all of the non anime stuff I can find. So now I need to start doing more stuff. I want to make examples of everything Im offering for commissions AND have decided while my boyfriend is gone for a week, so work on and hopefully finish an adult piece in watercolor and colored pencils... possibly. Maybe just watercolors.
My first try at offering a commission on furbuy and furbid, didn't go to well, and after a week, I had views but no bids. So Im making myself pick up traditionals again in the hope that people might want a commission more if its traditional and they get the original piece.
I'm totally broke. Finding a graphic design job is killing me. San Diego is such a hassle. So Im hoping I can get together some really nice examples of at least a bust piece in every section.
