Well then...
Posted 10 years ago...So much for keeping things up to date. It amazes me how time flies, and I'm not talking the crappy 'when you're having fun' adage or the one idea that if you're busy time goes fast (I've lived the opposite of that one I can tell you!).
No, I'm talking in general as age goes by how it once was that days seemed long, weeks took forever, months were ridiculous and years were, well, incomprehensible to think about. But now weeks seem to go past faster than days, months are nothing to wait for and years are easy measurable and can be planned in advance. It's an odd thought to have, and to bring it back to why no one has heard from me for so long... I blame time seeming less of a thing.
Of course the general truth is that while I do jump onto the site here almost daily, I didn't have much to say or update on the week after my last journal. So I left it for another and another, then a month, then two months until I finally decided that I wouldn't update until I actually had an update. Which I finally do!! :-3
A new story is online and ready for viewing. It's taken something like 4 complete re-writes, multiple checks plus a few months to let it settle in my mind before posting. Still not sure if I'm 100% on it either... But it can always be edited at a later date. And with the completion one story, yet another story has come to mind and will be started on shortly. Adding that too, to the list of WIP's sitting on the HDD waiting for some attention... Let's hope this enthusiasm lasts a bit longer and I can get something else out before too long.
In addition to this, I'm happy to say that my sketchbook has also come out of storage and pencil is being put to paper so I'll no doubt be feeling the fatty urge and get something drawn. Been a while since Hopscotch and Ralphie were illustrated so I'm interested to see how my style has changed (for better or worse), and will be nice to see what comes up.
So, with not much else to say other thanks for reading, keep on eating :-3

Successfulness ('coz that's a real thing now...)
Posted 10 years agoHowdy!
Another week and another journal, methinks I might keep this up like some vague blogger talking about the randomness of daily life. Anyway, the title of said randomness, I have seen some success?
Yes, in a sense.
And this past week has been a bit of a improvement which is nice. Unfortunately no content update as yet, but is not far off! I, this week, completed another tale of the crazy life we pudgy pandas live :D Though it is requiring some further work to get it up to a suitable level to share (as is my typical process). I'm also onto the third part of a four part (I think...) story. These parts are reasonably short so once complete I might re-edit the format, depending...
So there's some success, but the '-fulness' of this journal title is in a more personal place. Bear with me here while I explain a bit first.
In real life I am pudgy, not quite to the level of the pandas that call this page home, but probably not too far off. And I am aiming to see more weight packing out my frame (you could definitely call me a gainer, I know I certainly do ;P ), but the success I talk about is not just more pounds gained, but the conversational boon of talking openly (albeit online...) about getting bigger with other like minded folk.
Not quite a success for some furs out there, but it has certainly made my week since it's new to me :) And on that note, this weeks' blogging type randomness draws to close.
Until next time, keep eating :)

Frustrating mistakes...
Posted 10 years agoGood afternoon to my readers (because I'm pretending a lot of furs read all about me...),
So a little bit of venting is required today, advance apologies for this... I have, as previously mentioned, a good number of stories I'm working on to get uploaded here and share with you all. They're in a variety of stages of completion and I have over the last week been working away at them bit by bit as the mood takes me. Unfortunately the mood hasn't taken taken me much this week and it hasn't really mattered which story I load up to look at, inspiration has been flat.
However, I did manage to get excited last night and I was typing up a storm! Pretty much had part one of one story complete (still needed to read over it again to edit/fix of course), but it was done. I was happy, and I was feeling inspired. So I started on the second part, keeping the juices flowing if you will, and as I like to do to make sure each file is consistent in font/size/formatting, I started work on part by using the first completed part as a base.
All good, so far...
I get a good amount done on the second part but am interrupted by the need to eat, so I save the file to come back to it once I was done with food. Sounds good too, except the moment I closed the file I realised that I hadn't saved the new part as it's own file, I literally saved over the first part... FUCK!! Hours of work lost, and that has killed enthusiasm so badly I haven't been willing to load the file up again and get going once more. I understand that it was own stupid fault, hence the venting today LOL!
So that story has been put back a bit longer before it'll be done since I need to go back and start it all over again. Eh... I'll just go work on another for a bit if I can find the motivation. There we go, venting done, not point in whining anymore about it. I have stories to be told, so I just need to move forward :D
Thanks for listening guys, I'll have some niceness for you all as soon as I can. And until next time, keep eating :)

Back into the world of the living!
Posted 10 years agoHello!!
Hopscotch here, returning to the FurAffinity fold. A few big changes in my life have really forced a bit of a personal and profressional re-evaluation on where I'm at and where I want to be. So I've turned my focus to a more creative stance on my existence, or at least more than it has been over the last couple of years.
To that end, I have started a fresh account here, one that is more appropriate labelled to the kind of work I want present to the furry community. And speaking of that work, creatively speaking, writing has been what I've wanted to do and as such I am putting some serious effort into that. I have more time currently and am using it better. So...
If you're on my page, you'll see in my description the kind of things you can expect to read on here and this is going to be my primary outlet for that kind of creative writing. I have other pages elsewhere for the other writings [non-furry, non-weight related] I am dabbling with, which allows me to cater my ideas to the appropriate audiences.
As it stands, I'm am re-vamping/re-uploading the stories I had on my previous page. They're a few years old now and my style has evolved a little, and some improvement could be had. So far there's two of three parts of one story uploaded, with another previously completed story in the process of being re-vamped and divided to make the reading a little easier to swallow in a single sitting. Just need to warn you furs out there, my stories can be a tad lengthy, so get used to settling in for a read.
I can also state that no story will be uploaded until I have completed it (in the unfortunate event I disappear again...), it might be that it gets split up though. And I can confirm there's a fair list of ideas I'm working on (including a superhero story, a story of love, a mind-bending sci-fi, and a Harry Potter-esque tale of magic, plus a few more). Now knowing that my english writing skills aren't always the best, if there are any furs out there that are into proof-reading/reading stories before they're released, drop me a line, your help would be awesome!
On a final note, since this simple journal announcing my return to furdom is beginning to novelise... As stated on my main page, please feel free to send me a message, I love talking to people and would love to get to know some amazing folk out there in the big wide world. I might be a bit timid, but I appreciate the time anyone takes to speak with me.
Until next time then, keep eating :D
