A question...if I were to stream...
General | Posted 13 years agoWould anyone actually stop by and when?
Just asking.
Just asking.
Something (else) positive for once...
General | Posted 14 years agoWhile I've been busy to say the least... figured I'd show this since I thought it was interesting if you're a wipeout fan, or at the least are curious for some stories to say the least.

Konicoon's streaming for Charity.
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm not really used to the idea of promoting other people's streams or stuff, it's just me for a lot of reasons. I'm gonna make a bit of an exception from what I can understand with
konicoon's mate, whom needs about 400 or so dollars...
so the link to where you can find the stream is at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7384222/ the direct link being https://join.me/430-483-968 and well...hope things turn out well.

Sooner or later...
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm going to post a more optimistic journal... I hope.
Updating because the older journal has been up for too long. Does anyone even read these things?
I'll just be brief on some things. Artwise, not a lot has been worth posting since most of my art output has been put forth to stuff for college, but I'll try and put something up before the end of the year, if all goes well.
That and the fact I've been trying to be optimistic but it's been a constant fight...which makes me thankful for the friends I've made on here, DA and elsewhere...even though trying to shake off this cynical pessmistic feeling has been difficult to say the least.
Part of that has been the whole SOPA bill that a number of you here have probably heard about in some form or another. I'm hoping against all my pessimism that this BS crap along with PIPA die a horrible death...but we'll see.
My optimism is like watermelon, on a train rail...
>< gota put something more happy next time around.

That personality test that's been going around

Among other things
http://www.signalpatterns.com/psych_central and I took a crack at it myself, and somehow I'm not surprised at these results, to anyone who cares, see below.
I find obvious irony in how I try to avert some of what's down below...but fall right into it. Go figure.
Passionate
You are in touch with your emotions, and sometimes you react before you think. The good news: you don't tamp down your feelings. The bad news: you sometimes say or do things that you later wish you could take back.
You do not live your life on an even keel; you do not go for long periods without experiencing some mood swings.
Curious
You like to get to the bottom of things. You're not content knowing what someone did; you want to know why they did it.
You don't simply take things as they are and move on; you're not content skimming along on the surface; you don't feel you're wasting time by digging for the meaning of things.
Pessimistic
You tend to be a "glass half-empty" kind of person, which for you is simply a realistic outlook. Your feeling is that this world can be a depressing place, and only a fool would think otherwise.
You do not waste your time searching for the silver lining in every cloud, nor do you believe it's your job to cheer up the people around you with happy talk.
Emotional
You let it all hang out, and those around you always know what you're going through.
You are not isolated from your emotions; no one would call you "cold-blooded," or even "cool as a cucumber."
Volatile
You go with the flow when it comes to your emotions. Whether you're happy or sad, you show it, and when something upsets you, or you're feeling stressed out, those around you will know it right away.
You are not necessarily the one person in any group who can be depended on to stay calm, cool, and collected in a crisis; you aren't known for keeping your emotions under wraps.
Introspective
You like your own company; you're a very interesting person. Tracking your own mental processes, knowing what you're thinking and why you do what you do, is important to you. Often, what's going on in your mind is more compelling than what's going on outside. For the most part, those with a high score on the "introspective" trait enjoy reading, taking long walks, learning new things, and other solitary activities.
You are not someone who is constantly looking to be among a group of friends; you never feel bored when you are by yourself.
Organized
You like to think a task through before you embark on it. If it's the slightest bit complicated, you make a list (even if it's only in your mind) and methodically work your way through it. When you have a goal in mind, you're not satisfied until you reach it.
You are not one of those people who ignore the details, and you don't understand how anyone can get anything accomplished without thoughtful planning ahead of time.
Stressed Out
You often feel that there's too much on your plate, that you don't have the strength to deal with the bad hand you've been dealt, or that you're going to lose it if you have to deal with one more problem.
You don't always bounce back quickly from adversity; sometimes when you get bad news it can hang over you for a long time.
Tender
You are gentle with others, both physically and emotionally. You are careful not to upset people and go out of your way to find the nicest way to say something. You naturally focus on the fact that the world is full of wonderful people, places, and things. More often than not, people with a high score on the "tender" trait enjoy spending time with children, love romantic movies, and are enthusiastic about making the world a better place.
You don't think of yourself as tough-minded or gruff, nor do you need to be seen as some kind of objective source of truth and rationality.
Rash
You get excited easily, allow yourself to react without censoring your feelings, and sometimes blurt out the first thing that comes to mind.
You generally don't consider what you're about to say before you open your mouth to speak.

Don't call it a comeback
General | Posted 14 years agocause I need to put in a new journal entry
I'm gonna try and be more active around Fur Affinity, but I can't make any promises, but like I said, I'll try. I've already submitted a few more things, and well, I'll do my best to be more active with comments and whatnot.
And I'll try to be sure they aren't too long, and well, that is that for now.
Till later.

A missing teen in vancover/Portland area
General | Posted 14 years agoWell when looking up journals, came across a journal regarding a missing person in the Vancover/Portland Area, at http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2397916/ and well, if anyone has any information, it could help. The least I can do is post this and see what'll happen.
Don't know what else to say except it sucks when someone goes missing, I hope she'll be found and I'll pray.
Till later.

game meme
General | Posted 18 years agoGammer meme
Taken from Pinkuh, because I've got nothing better to post here for now.
1) What was your FIRST video game console?:
NES for me, later the various Atari consoles.
2) Name a few games you played on said console:
Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunter, Rad Racer, Blaster Master, etc.
3) Excluding handhelds, how many VG consoles do you own presently:
A PS2 we (that being me and my brothers) share, and a PC for PC titles.
4) Were you a Street Fighter nut? Any character in particular?:
For a while, never really caught on till SFA3, I'm okay with Guile, but best with Ken.
5) If you think Capcom is a FUCKING awesome company with kickass character designs, I would like to hear a "hell yes" followed by a Capcom character you love.
Yeah, Captain Commando, because in Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2 he's my BEST character, next to Wolverine, Captian America, Spider-man, Jill, Strider Hiryuu and Ken
6) Here's the scenario.. You had some friends over and you all ate FRIED CHICKEN! After the meal you all decide to play some video games. As your friend reaches for a controller you notice his/her hands are very "greasy." Are you the type that would insist they wash their hands before pawing the controller, or is it no big deal?:
Yeah, I would ask them to wash their hands.
7) What's your favorite RPG/Action RPG?:
Final Fantasy 8
8) Do you prefer 2D games or 3D games?
There is something if not several things to enjoy from both.
9) Are you an SNK fan?
To some degree, but I doubt I'd be considered hardcore, although at least in CVS1, I'm good with Terry, King, Geese, and Benimaru to name a few.
9) Are you good at DDR?:
Good enough to play standard, but I can't play it as much because I make too much noise no matter where excluding Arcades, and even at arcades... the comments my brothers had for me the last time I played made me all but shy away from it.
10) Who wants to kick that dog's ass from Duck Hunt?:
I never really had any ill will towards the dog to be dead honest.
11) Have you skipped out on important events in life because of video games?
Possibly, but lately life > video games, no matter how much I may actually agree or disagree, I understand but that does not lead to an automatic tendency to agree.
12) Do you listen to video game music?
I was during the 8 bit days, do today, across the board. Hell I even try to figure who makes the music for these games, and what they've made in their lives thus far. A couple of favorite artists are Ayako Saso, Kohta Takahashi, Chuck E. Meyers, Daiki Kasho, Yuzo Koshiro, Chuck Doud, Amon Tobin, Harry Gregson Williams, and Norihiko Hibino to name a few. and yes I'm aware a few of those names have worked in other media including movies.
13) Have you ever cosplayed a VG character..?
Not yet, but if I ever take the time, maybe the soldiers from either GRAW, or Metal Gear solid series, or even the New Foxhound members, if not the guys from SWAT 4, and maybe one day make a racing suit with the sponsors to the more obscure Live for Speed, as well as Ridge Racer series.
14) Have you ever been in an arcade playing a fighting game, KICKING ASS, and then some 6 year old Asian kid comes in and OWNS YOU??:
Not in an arcade, but in a Halo 2 tournament... or rather 2 younger kids... they weren’t Asian. But not yet.
15) Name three games you would love to see remakes of if it was done properly:
Sonic Adventure 2 (I argue that SEGA, SONIC team... someone if not several people are just not trying or something...or maybe it's the many sonic fans who b---h on and on as badly as some Gundam and other fans who have to deal with not-so-stellar titles... or maybe they should simply wait to release a game when it's actually DONE... and SA2 maybe a way to start off on that path... but that's just me), Blaster Master 1, Final Fantasy 8 (this is selfish but it was the FF for me, and I'd enjoy it to see it remade for the 7th Gen consoles).
16) Mario or Sonic? Yes.
17) When a movie shows up in the theaters, let's use Spiderman as an example, are you likely to buy the GAME version?:
If it's good, and by good I mean good gameplay, graphics, etc. It depends, a lot of movie games don't work, but to DENY any that are good would be very ignorant. Hell some games variants may even be far better than their movies, depends on everything.
18) What is your LEAST favorite genre of video games? (ex. fighting, sports, shooters, etc.):
That sounds unfair, I mean yes it's opinion, but I can't say. People have their reasons for why they like and dislike whatever, justified or not. If I had to pick one, it may be sports but ONLY on the basis I've simply not invested time to get used to sports games in general unless you count Motorsports as that requires actual physical activity. Even NASCAR qualifies in this respect.
19) Is there a game out there that you feel was unique and didn't get enough love:
That's a long list. Ridge Racer (I don't blame the E3 06 thing...oddly enough), XIII (even though I've only had a chance to play the Demo), Syphon Filter, Tomba, Jet Moto, Colony Wars, Blaster Master... I can try to go on but I won’t.
20) Have you ever verbally abused a game because you couldn't beat one of the levels and/or bosses?
Probably, don't remember though.
21) Do you own any VG apparel?
Does the GTA: SA poster count? Or the shirt I got for winning a PGR 3 Tournament at a college as well?
22) What are your thoughts on the live-action Super Mario Bros movie?
In terms of fatefulness to the source material, one could label it as failure, yet another as an interesting interpretation with a LOT of liberty taken with it. It was interesting and even fun, I had watched it again and again, as a movie, it's alright, if not decent, nothing Oscar winning but enjoyable... to me anyway.
23) On that note, what did you think about the live-action Street Fighter movie?
Street Fighter II the Animated Movie and the 1st Mortal Kombat movie blow the SF movie into the water by miles. Even the not-so-great Tekken Anime does a better job... but that's me.
24) Who hottest out of these three KOF chicks IYHO? Shermie, Leona, or Mai Shiranui. awww, no blue mary?
No opinion.
25) Do you say "old-school" a lot when you're having a VG conversation with others?
Not to memory.
26) Have you ever lent someone a game and they returned it to you damaged?
Probably.
27) Do you own any imported games?
No.
28) Are you ready for this meme to be over, or could you keep going:
We'll see.
29) In this scenario, let's pretend you're going to get a video game tattoo! What would you get and where? This can be simple or elaborate:
I'd rather not get a Tattoo because frankly I may not feel the same way about getting something then as I would 10 years (or even a day) down the line.
But if I have no choice but to get one (it was never specified what kind), it would be the paint kind of FOXHOUND from Metal Gear, on my left upper arm. That way after it's applied I can hopefully wash it away for good.
30) Have you ever cried after you beat a game? If so why?
Yeah, Metal Gear solid 1, 2nd only to it's even better sequel, MGS 2...and I'd cry over what went down in MGS 2 but I was spoiled over a few things (thanks to G4TV portal... when they did their top 10 VG momuments... I should have not watched it...)... that would have brought me damn close to it. It may actually happen with MGS 4 but we'll see about it.
May happen with Halo 3 even but I'm not too attached to Cheif as I am to Solid Snake... but heck, we'll see if/when I get it.
Taken from Pinkuh, because I've got nothing better to post here for now.

Myself included.
In case anyone dosen't know, the name is Rossriders from Deviantart.com. I had been curious about this place for a while, so I decided to open this account and well, look around all the more.
Maybe I should not be so surprised given the focus is on anything anthromorphic, but I'm still surpirsed at all the anthro/furry art that's here. I'm also surpised at what aritsts are here and not at other archives, then again maybe I should not given how some here do have ... issues (for a real lack of a better word) with Deviantart, if not say, any other archive out there for whatever reason.
Anyhoot, I guess maybe I should start to say... speak my views and comment on some stuff here since there's quite a lot of it, with some peices that are pretty amaizing in my view.
Although given how I am anywhere, I seam to be at times as active as a brick, I guess I'll mention that as an inadvance for anyone watching me and expecting input from me (although I feel like I'm arrogant to say that, like my imput counts... as if putting myself down is really going to help the situation, or rambling on and on and on...yada, etc...), I'll either be lighting quick or painfully slow (to say the absolute least.
I was hestant probably the most due to the mature and adult themed art here, which seams to be in if not over VCL territory (although I wonder if I'm to talk given I found such artists as Chalsoan when looking around in VCL), and wondering if I should associate myself in a place as such.
Maybe I should not care, and to say I hate that kind of stuff would be hypritical to say the least, although I have a hard time admiting I do like some of the adult stuff, probably out of fear of being called a pervert. Some may say to not care, somehow I've got this voice in the back of my head otherwise.
But if I learned anything, it's not necessilary just what is being done on a said art piece, it's just how it's done, and what the point of something was made. Then it's also just how one interprets it. That's all I can say on it for now given me doing adult art seams unlikley, although not impossible. Time will tell, but don't hold your breath.
So in summary, hi, from DA, may actually say some things here, time will tell.
And well, that's all I'll say for now. Till then.
Myself included.

Till then.
