i swear im getting back to drawing comics. its just been one thing after another lately and I havent had the time TT_TT

So it was so damned hot yesterday that I forgot to post a comic. Its done, but.... blerg. fuckit. I'm giving myself a heat exhaustion pass this week.

My ability to human has been less than stellar this time around so we shall pick back up next week.

With temperatures spiking into face melting numbers, I can't focus enough to stop dripping on the cintiq and get work done. Sorry guys x_x

I hit a bit of an emotional rough patch to say the least and so I dont even have the raw framework for a comic done right now.

Im just gonna scrub this week and come back again next week.

Gonna get back to posting comics weekly though I think I may lay off the asks for a bit.
I have a lot of commission work to catch up on and the asks are draining my time a little.

Well as most of you probably know, Apple and Verizon essentially forced Tumblr to shoot itself in the foot so I don't see a point to posting over there anymore.

I'll still be ON there, making text posts and reblogging, but my comics are no longer going to be hosted there.

I decided after a brief test to start actually using my Twitter for more than toilet thoughts and random complaining!

Oh, don't get me wrong. there will still be a lot of that, plus the odd commentary on my sex life because some days I just gotta yell it out into the world while I'm still on an endorphin high, but now those weird posts will be intersected by my comics!

I'm out at the parents for a bit so no updates this week. If I can find a building with Wi-Fi that I'm allowed to use (I'm on my phone here) then I should be back up next week.

Our rental lease in our cozy townhouse is coming to an end soon and we find ourselves in a tricky situation.

What happens to us now?

The most obvious and ideal outcome that presented itself was to simply buy the townhouse! We had been renting it from a close friend for about a year and he was clearly eager to be rid of the silly thing. It would have been a win/win for all involved! We get to keep our home, he gets to not have to worry about it anymore.

However, in order to buy it, we need to qualify for a mortgage. The payments aren't really an issue, as our rent was paying the mortgage already as it is. But the downpayment for a mortgage of our own... that is a whole other matter.

We need to scrap together as much money as we can before February (the end of our lease) in order to have a chance at keeping this place! If we cannot, we will be forced to move. With little other option, we turn to you fine folks for help and have opened up a gofundme to panhandle for some donations.

Any little bit you can spare would be SO appreciated. If it turns out that even with help we still can't qualify, the leftover donations will be funneled into moving expenses as we try to find a new place to set up shop.

I am going to visit the inlaws in the lovely tropics of British Columbia for a whole week!

those of you who follow my main gallery already know that my laptop has been experiencing issues as of late.

Well, unable to repair the issue myself, i have brought her into a trusted technician in town to give her a once over and see if she is salvageable.

Unfortunately, all the files for my comic are on her hard drive and i literally didn't think about moving them until JUST NOW.

So no comic until I get my laptop back.

We shall return as soon as I am able!

I am taking this month to reorganize my brain and cool down from a lot of drama and personal bullshit.
As such, I found I had a lot of spare time to make some comic backlogs, including finishing up my list of asks that still needed answering!

Therefore, my ask que is now empty!

I'm feeling a severe lack of motivation for this comic.
It has gone nowhere in 13 years and apparently there is no real desire for it to try to go anywhere. After so long with any attempts at moving it forward being totally shot down, it's starting to feel more than a little like a failed project. I dunno.

I've got a lot on my mind right now so I think I'm going to hiatus for a bit while I try to sort this out.

Inspection went well.
After a week of murdering ourselves with cleaning, we still have a home.
I shall now get back to doing comics and finishing up these commissions.
