Going into the new year, here's what to expect.
General | Posted 10 years agoSome if not most of this artwork que will not be finished until next year due to family obligations.
I will try to get some shit done over the weekend as I am going to my moms and will be relatively unaccosted, especially during the news because I leave the room when the news comes on.
My parents have...... differing views from mine when it comes to how things should be played out in the world. We tend to clash somewhere between my higher education from years of diligent reading and research and their fly by the seat of their pants emotional knee jerk responses.
I can't -wait- to hear how our new country's leader is ruining everything by letting in refugees and caring about the environment.

But yeah its best if I just leave when the news comes on. I like my parental units and would like to keep it that way for many years to come.
Regardless of the holidays and obligations, there WILL be a Wednesday comic. No matter how much my paid shit slides around, I promised myself I would keep up with my comic and fucking hell I WILL keep up with my comic! No DPDs for me!

As we head on into the new year, I also want to shake things up a little.
Gore seems to be a dying phase with the community, as interests have shifted in different directions and I am seeing all new fetishes take the top spot in the community. I like to keep semi-current with this but also retain my current crowd. So in true FA fashion, I throw questions at you that you will likely ignore!

1) What sort of things would you, the viewers like to see in the coming year?
2) I am contemplating a Paetron for my comics as a way to bring in some extra income since my comics actually take away from my commission time. On average it takes 1 to 2 days to plot, line, ink, and color a comic depending on how much detail and text there is and it is killing my productivity when it comes to my customers. But Paetron shit tends to come with rewards for my subscribers. Would anyone actually sponsor me? If so what kind of rewards would I be offering?
3) I wanna make swag. The comic is starting to get a fan following and I think swag would only increase that. One day I hope to be one of those jaded artists who gets random-ass fanart of their characters and maybe gets invited to a con by someone more influential than their friend from down the block. It sounds selfish and silly but come on, fellow comic artists, aren't we ALL like this? Deep down? We love the promise of attention and fan love. You know it. XD
That's right. Aemi is an attention whore. But at least she is up front about it! So there!

I was thinking something cheap and easy to produce like buttons to start out with but I haven't the freaking foggiest how to go about getting one of those blasted machines. Anyone know where someone can pick one up at a price that won't bankrupt me? Also what kind of button designs would be good?
That's all I can think of right now. I haven't slept properly all week and my thoughts are muddled and hazy @_@

I took a gander through the latest contest and realized that nobody is voting except for a few unremarkable projects! Its as if friends and family are voting up these poorly made exhibits for friendship value alone and totally ignoring the ones that actual effort was put into!
So I figured, ok. I can play this game too. If the only way I am getting votes is to advertise then so be it!
If you have the game, could you drop some substantial voting love on project 0701-7729-215? It's titled "A Holiday Feast" and it really needs to up its numbers if its gonna stand a chance in this contest! I don't even know what he prizes are beyond bragging rights! lol

General | Posted 10 years agoI had hoped once I got this credit card bill paid off that I could do a mass spree of freebee art as thanks to you guys, my watchers, for being so supportive of me over the last few years. You guys have really been awesome and I've made a lot more friends lately than I thought I would!
However, it's starting to look like I may need to cancel doing commissions altogether pretty soon.
My bill has been sitting pretty steady at around 5k which, all things considered, is really not a huge debt. I mean, there are students among you that are probably tens of thousands of dollars in the hole from student loans and whatnot. However, my bank doesn't really see it that way.
They were content for the longest to my dropping a couple hundred here and there when I could while I squirreled away commission money to try and pay the whole thing off but more recently they closed down my account and gave me the ultimatum of pay up in full or they will either take me to court or start sicking bill collectors on me. Because if I couldn't afford the 600 dollar minimum payments before, clearly I can pull 5000 out of my drug and child sex ring to pay it off in full, right?

I am talking to a debt counsellor about this but if he can't help me out I will need to stop drawing altogether and go back to Walmart, as it is the only place where I am guaranteed a job when I walk through the door despite not having worked in so long. I damn near didn't survive the last time I worked there but what can you do, right?
Ugh I really don't want to do this.
What I guess I'm getting at is that it has been suggested to me that I do the FA panhandle of shame and ask my watchers for help while I am trying to work out my options. I have seen you guys work freaking miracles when you band together and lord knows I could really use one of those right about now.
I do have a donation link on my front page at the bottom of my user profile on my main gallery or I can give my e-mail to anyone who asks. If anyone can help out it would be so appreciated. You have no idea. I just want this freaking thing gone so I can have my life back!

General | Posted 10 years agoSince I dont really do Another Day Another Dollar much anymore (all i do is draw and mocking my customers is a LOT harder since you all will know who im mocking and I dont wanna be that dick), my comics have been divided up mostly into my gaming strips, my real life conversations, and my RANTS.
Therefore, I am adding (and, consequently reassigning icons to) a rant comic category!
There will be a folder for them (when i get around to doing folders, that is) and all my complaining and general butthurt bitching shall go there!
The main question is, though....
What should I call it??

I don't really have the best of mics but I am home alone like 90 percent of the day so its not like there will be bg people and whatnot.
I have been inspired somewhat by watching way too many episodes of Culture Shock with Gaijin Goomba on Youtube and his little goomba voice really appeals to me. I could even go with a pitch changer like GG does and maybe some day make a little animation to go with it! But for now.... voice journal. Is this something I should invest my time in?

As much as I adore doing requests for people, I literally cannot afford to do them right now. I am doing artwork full time as my literal job these days and I have a 6 thousand dollar credit card bill that your commissions are slowly paying for.
As soon as the bill is no longer a thorn in my ass, I will likely celebrate with a slew of freebies for my loving followers! Donations will speed this along but I will plough on as your loyal art slave in the meantime!
2) On the auctions I owe
I am buggering off to my parent's netless void for the week and shall be back next weekend. I will work on the pictures while I am out there but there will be no posting from me at all this week. This does not include comics though, as I will borrow some bandwidth from the nearby cafe to get those in. I will not be available on Skype, however. Those with my phone number are free to text me at any time. My phone is always with me.
3) On my Ask Aemi series
My comic page has a twice weekly update schedule with a comic on Wednesday and an ask on Thursday. I am running out of asks.

General | Posted 11 years agoSo I could go a few different directions for next week's comic and I figured I would get some input to help me make up my mind.
1) Couch Diaries - another comic from the daily going ons of my life. These scripts are abundant, but I have been doing it a lot lately so i dunno.
2) A tour of my apartment - it occurred to me that not many people know the layout of my apartment. I dont know if this would help understand what rooms are what in my comics but i suppose it couldnt hurt?
3) A dash of drama - I made a script up of a particular piece of mind melting drama I encountered recently. The drama has since been resolved peacefully but now I am left with this comic that i don't know if i should do up or not. On one hand, it is an event from my life and this series is a journal of sorts. On the other hand, it may upset the party involved even though we made up and the comic doesnt actually mention them by name.
4) Full Immersion Gaming - it's been a while since i did a game comic. Then again its been a while since i did anything in a game WORTHY of a comic. I'm sure I could dredge up something if I had to, mind you. Probably minecraft, as I had a few good days there recently.

ADAD (Another Day Another Dollar) - The work comic. Contains conversations and happenings from my various jobs. As I am self employed now, these are rarer to see.
Full Immersion Gaming - Self explanatory. My game happenings and convos.
Intimate Injuries - Random injuries I've gotten during my..... um.... extra curricular activities. Some are real, some are made up, many are exaggerated.
Couch Diaries - My main segment full of the day to day insanity that is my life.
Now I am contemplating adding a NEW segment to the group!

That wont change at all but i am going to also cross post my comics there as well as on my facebook that everyone either ignores or forgot about lol
