5 years it's been.... 5 years since my world was shattered. But I haven't been hobbled. It's been 5 years of training myself, relearning skills I had gotten down before, 5 years of stress, pain, depression, joy, sorrow.... and yet I still stand. I will not let this get me down, when I feel bad, tomorrow's another day. I will press forward, with my mates at my side, searching for truth, fighting the good fight. Boy has it been an eventful year! First my employer's parent company is selling my company to a different corporation, then chaos with my dragoness's green card! Not to mention we've lost so many great recording artists this year, sadness!

But wait, there's more!
finally got her green card, so she can't be deported at allllll! my surgeries are going well, only one more major one left, the end is in sight for my reconstruction from my workplace accident almost 4 years ago!

Here's to hoping that 2017 will be a better year!

So, as of this last week, we've been informed that can finally work! It was touch and go there for a few weeks, since before this, we had received a letter stating that they had considered our case "abandoned" because we never responded to the request for more evidence they "sent" us months ago... so we filed to reopen the case with the supporting evidence, so now our nessy can work!

Also, worker's comp has finally gotten its butt in gear and gave the docs the go ahead to proceed with the treatment so I can get my fangs back! Oral Specialists are pricey apparently! So, now, I finally have the next surgery scheduled, so I might have my fangs by the holidays! Crossing my claws about this one!

So, yeah, things are getting better, slowly but surely!

I can has level up! I'm now 26 and stuff so yay!

The repair work on my fangs is coming along, gotta opt for an appliance instead of the permanent crowns sadly! Seems that the residents at IU Health, in their inexperience, didn't do things right, sadly!

My mate, kel's, green card application is in, just 2 more months until we hear back from USCIS! We have a strong case, so it should be a favorable response!

Heh, 25 years... a great many events in that time, and I'm still here. Just pkugging along, wishing humans would get a clue, people would shut their maws and open their minds and ears... One thing'sfor certain, though. 2 years have passed since I ffaced the black horseman, and 2 years later, I'm still not giving up. Believe what you want, but if someone trirs to cross me... they'll regret it. Briefly.

Well, this has certainly been an eventful year.... surgeries, my mate coming to live with me, getting married to her and moving into an apartment (to "satisfy" those silly humans).... I honestly wish and/or hope that 2015 will be an easier year, for all my mates, if not myself...

A question has been on my mind, however... It seems that I've been invited to a study of a new drug meant to help those with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), specifically, the memory problems that all to often appear. I believe that this may well be a good medication to test, but I'm curious as to what others think about it.

Heh, so this update is a tad bit late, but worker's comp finally got back to me about the hearing aid. The surprising outcome is that they preapproved the high quality version of the hearing aid the first time, so yeah, this makes me happy. Perhaps the manufacturers told them that that was the best option, but personally, I believe they didn't want a throwdown with me, my mates and my entire flipping family! Go Calzaron!

Well, it was fun while it lasted. For the past 3 days, I've been wearing a "demo" hearing aid that the ENT specialists I've been seeing have loaned to me. I've been able to hear better than I have in YEARS (definitely better than since the accident!) problem is.... That was the high quality option they have, and knowing worker's comp, they'll be pulling shit. so, I'm not going to settle for anything less than the high quality option and my family and mates agree. If they want to fight over it.... I'll show them exactly how hot this dragon's fire breath can be.

Soooooo, yeah, dragon's missing yet ANOTHER fang....

Seems that some of the metal plates that were implanted right after my accident 20 months ago were coming loose. one of the screws that was holdiung the plate in place was drilled right through the tooth root. So, yeah, now that's EIGHT fangs that need to be replaced, and not just 7. hopefully i won't have to take the pain meds long, whoopee X3

Sooo, yeah, my compy just died on me, so I'm having to borrow a friend's compy until i can get mine fixed....

Good news, everyone! I'm married to and we've moved into our own apartment! We're working on getting her a visa so she doesn't have to leave and spend time apart from her drake. X3 It will take some time, but I'm told we have a strong case, so... just have to wait and see *crosses claws!*

A new stage in the life of my mates and I has begun, Kelnadra is now my spouse (in the humans' eyes anyway X3). Now to just begin the silly bureaucratic paperwork. X3

Yes, it's been yet another year! And quite an eventful one too!

It's my hatchyday again! 24 in total on this world!

And silly me, i just happen to get to have a second bone graft on my hatchyday! Joy oh joy! It went well at least!

So...

A full year it's been. A year full of stress, misery, depression, and yes, even pain. Quite a bit of pain.

This dragon's never gonna be the same. I'll always have these scars; the surgical marks on my knee, on my throat, over my face and head...

But I shall be strong.

By these grey-blue scales of mine, I shall persevere. With the help of my mates, by the glow of my emerald eyes, by my talons, I shall not give up.

I am remembering more now. Magic runs deep in my blood, I can taste it's power again.

There is still strength in these bones, strength to back up my words. Beware, those who would scoff at my commonplace appearance by human standards. I am here to stay.

And I will right the wrongs.

It has finally happened.... The locks are starting to come loose, old information becoming clear.

It has been over a year and a half since I began looking, but now it seems so clear. It's a good thing, or my old name and form would have bitten me if they were snakes. X3
