Trying to figure out how to post longer sequences
General | Posted 6 years agoFirst of all, Commissions are still open!
To clear up confusion with the people that think my commission queue is full, here's my current commission queue:
1. l8xbrb2 (on DA)
2. Empty
3. Empty
4. Empty
5. Empty
Anyway- Lately I've been enjoying doing these sequences where I'm doing some kinda transformation by taking one drawing, and editing it bit by bit, like these:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30823228/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30823258/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30823763/
Unfortunately, they're starting to stretch things out as I put more steps into them with each passing one, and they're starting to become illegible on both DA and FA- that last one especially. Pixiv would be great for posting these, since I could post them as doujin/image set- but the only good solution for posting them on FA/DA is to post each part of the sequence as a separate image or have them all lumped into one image like the above. I bring this up because I have another one finished, but it's seven parts, and I have no idea how to post it legibly.
I guess the question here is this: Would people be okay with me posting seven parts of a sequence as seven different submissions? Or, should I just post them all in one giant image-where it'll be impossible to actually view? Is there another solution I just haven't thought of?

Drawing's fun again! (Commissions Open!)
General | Posted 7 years agoOver the past few weeks I’ve been getting back to a place where I’m comfortable enough to do commissions again. I was stuck for a while at a place where drawing was feeling not fun because of how much of my self worth I was putting into my ability to draw- which, through lack of practice, meant that I was putting my self worth into something that I wasn't good at anymore. After practicing for a while, I think I'm at the point where even if that kinda frustration comes up in a drawing, I can push past it and work on improving rather than getting frustrated at how slow the improvement is.
I think last time I forced myself to be too strict on making things a first-come-first-serve basis, because I know it can be frustrating to get a commission then to see the artist finish a later commission before yours- but that led me to getting stuck on one commission and not having the flexibility to work on another commission in the case of having to start over again or hitting a motivational roadblock.
So, that said, I think I’m going to try opening up for three or four at a time, with the intention of finishing those in whatever order- and once all of the group is done, *then* I take some new commissions. This way, people shouldn't ever get into a situation where they've seen me do like ten commissions that came in after them before I get to theirs- at the absolute most, it'll be three.
I’m also debating raising prices by 10$ across the board, as this winter’s heating bills have been destroying me financially and I could use some breathing room.
New prices would be:
$35 (+$20 per each additional character) for lines (does anyone typically even want this sorta thing? I may just remove this from the list at some point.)
$45 (+$30 per each additional character) for color (like these kinda things: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21753566/ or http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30451721/ )
$60 (+$30 per each additional character) for a scene with elaborate lighting and background stuff. (Like http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23354454/ or http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30451671/ )
Obviously things like complicated characters may make me have to charge more- if your character has a huge complicated robot backpack that gives them two extra arms and wings and is covered in steampunk gears and augmentations, you're basically asking me to draw a character and a half already.
Just a reminder, I will not do:
Underage characters in adult situations
Gore
Scat
Characters that make me go "wut" (I'll use my own discretion)

Just an Update etc
General | Posted 8 years agoSoooo... At this point it should be obvious that I took a bunch of commissions and then disappeared. Long story short, I did one and a half of them, wasn't happy with how either came out, lost basically all confidence, refunded everyone who had paid me, and I've basically done almost no drawing since then. ><
Now obviously I'm not really a confident person to begin with, but anyway- I may get back to doing commissions again one day, but in the meantime I'm just not sure if commissions are for me- I'm way to hyper critical of my own work to ever expect a paying customer to be happy with it, as things stand currently.
In the meantime, I'll try to get back to the point where I can start posting stuff here again, but that may take some time. Sorry! D:

Guess I'm posting stuff now!
General | Posted 9 years agoSo, I'm mostly gonna be doing non-furry stuff, but
helixjack said I should post stuff here too- after all, I've already got one furry thing, so...
Anyway, hopefully this is the start of a regular thing! Please excuse while I nail down a style that I both enjoy and enjoy drawing though, that may take some time- I kinda wanna get into more heavily stylized, simple things, so don't expect things to stay as they are now forever! D:
Anyway, thanks for stopping by. C:
