I hate that it comes to this but unfortunately it is very common in the Furry Fandom. Inevitably, someone finds a character or fursona that they like and, rather than try and create something on their own that is different and unique, they steal another design and claim it as their character.
It happens even more when the character in-question is popular. This has happened to people like Telephone, Captain, and all manner of other creators and their creations. I have even had people steal Cheshire before and I had to report a TikTok account multiple times for using my character as their profile picture because they were also claiming the character was theirs.

When the Protogen species came out~ I was quick to get one from my buddy Flamesvoices. I had just beaten the game PORTAL and therefore, we decided on a Portal-themed Protogen simply named "Portal". He was made over 6 years ago...

This design quickly became popular in the community with many people also wanting to get their own Portal-themed Protogen. Now, don't get me wrong...you cannot claim a pallet and you absolutely cannot claim ownership over the "idea" of a character based on a video-game. There have been MANY portal-related Protogen, but each one is different and unique, despite using similar color schemes and being based on the same game. Then, you have this person and their "Portal" on r/furry (that I can't even link to)...and their design matches mine pixel for pixel with only one small change and it's not even enough to tell the characters apart.

THIS. IS. NOT. OKAY!!!

This is not even "inspired" by my Portal is it is a blatant ripoff. Worse, I see that this was made over ten months ago. For ten months, someone has been going around with a blatant copy of my character with the ONLY difference being the symbol on the hip. NOT COOL. This...is character theft. They are taking a character that is meaningful to me and doing whatever they want with it. Now...naturally, I am the type to think that maybe this was an innocent mistake...so, I did send them a few messages on the matter through Reddit, hoping they will see it.

I'm still waiting for a response...but whether or not they choose to do anything about this, well, unfortunately...that is the problem when it comes to characters. Since ideas like these can't often by copyrighted (if at all) in ay way that keeps them safe, copycats and fakes will pop up all the time. All we can do is block these people, ban them from communities, and hope they wise up and change their ways. But, I wanted to put it out there that these people need to be corrected (not rudely mind you- don't harass people, but do educate them on why they can't just steal someone else's character and the damage it causes).

This has already stressed me out. I don't know this person...I don't know what else they have stolen, whether they take credit for other things I have done or posted, whether they are a good person or a complete asshole online. I can't speak for any of that. If they made a suit, I would feel even more horrified because again, this is essentially my character, they just slapped a different sticker on the hip and called it a day. It's horrible behavior and I wish it had been called out ten months ago. I seriously thought it was fanart for how close it looked to my own Portal and I am HORRIFIED over this!

So, please...if you see this person posing as "Portal"- they are not Portal. I am the only one that owns this character. This is my character they have essentially stolen and I AM NOT OKAY WITH IT. Please ask them to take the character post down and/or change the character to where it does not mimic mine.

Again, I am fine with Portal based characters...but this ain't it...
This is theft...

This year has been a year of funerals for me. I lost my Father figure in February, and my Wife just recently lost her Grandmother this month. And right after losing her Grandmother, before she even managed to come home, our sister-in-law  ladygreer passed away.
I can not express just how sad I have been. Some might find it silly, but I just saw her two weeks ago. We made dinner plans and a Dot Hack movie night together. She was so excited for the Final Fantasy XIV update, and we were gonna start working out together once the gyms opened back up.
But she wasn't herself towards the end...and I even called the cops for a wellness check. At the time, they told me that she was fine, so I was content with that. I just figured she wanted some alone time (as someone with depression, I understand). But, a week later, she was gone.

The amount of people I have contacted and had to tell them about this loss...I can't say that it hasn't weighed on me a bit. I just knew that the longer we went without telling her friends, the worse it would be for them. Her friends were her life, her Discord was like her home, and I knew these people deserved to know, deserved to have their chance and mourn...and it didn't feel right to leave them in the dark. Greer was someone I had heard horror stories about before I met her. She was supposedly that mean and grumpy person that was just impossible to be around. When I first saw her (she towers over my 5"3 ass), with her black hair, sunglasses, etc. I was terrified.
She asked me to drive with her to the pet store one day and I was too scared to tell her 'no', so I went, not sure what to expect. What we did was talk about anime, porn, and Pokemon, and it was one of the most fun days I had ever had. That alone built a friendship that meant a lot to me...even if I had a hard time showing it.

I got on her streams, she gave me the nickname "Lezbot", and I gloated because having a nickname must mean I'm special...you know? I don't have a lot of friends, I'm a very picky person when it comes to people. So this was just an awesome moment. I know she had her besties and the people she talked to 24/7...but I was always thrilled when she came to me for advice or to vent. I did her house tour on facetime for her (with my wife) so she could see if she wanted her house before moving. When she was finally only 20 min away from me, I was actually happy that we would get to hang out more. She would come over, get a hot meal, play some video-games. I watched her play Dark Souls, and I'm the only person that got to see her beat Super Mario Odyssey. We were always talking horror games (especially Silent Hill), talking about our favorite anime, or helping each other on Animal Crossing. She wanted me to try FFXIV and was going to teach me how to play...but I put it off, and now I wish that I hadn't. I now have the free trial downloading...and I guess it's just one of the ways I'm trying to show my tribute to her.

I have had days where I cry...and today I'm doing better. I'm just bracing myself for the hardest parts that are bound to pop up in the future. I dunno what's going to happen...there's just so much stress. I wanna comfort her friends, but they barely know who I am. I wanna do something special for her, but I don't know what. I want to help her Husband, but I barely know him either...and so I just try to make him laugh when I see him. And I'm also trying to comfort my wife who lost 2 people she loved dearly in a matter of 2 weeks.

Before anyone asks (I probs should have made a disclaimer earlier), she did not die to COVID. There were some other things going on, but we still don't have a cause. So I ask that you please don't pry. I already have a ton of people I need to keep updated on the situation...so, if you have any other questions, thoughts, etc, I just ask that you DM me here or something. I will try and get back to you when I can.

I guess...I just needed to vent. One of the last things I mentioned to her is that I find it hard to believe that anyone likes me because of my awkwardness, anxiety, etc. she laughed and told me to "shut up". And I only wish I had been able to tell her how happy that made me...that I knew she was my friend, always had, and that it really, truly, meant the world to me. I was looking forward to so many adventures together that I could never express. And now she is gone.

And I miss her. I miss her a lot.

Hey guys, it really has been awhile!

So, this is probably gonna be my last journal of 2019, so I figured that I would give some updates...

First thing on the agenda is to talk about how I never made it to ACFI this year.
It's sad because both my wife and I had free admission and we were really looking forward to going. But really, everything just turned into a mess. There was the issue of rooms. Originally we had a room that we were sharing with a friend and some randos. But slowly, people started backing out, then our friend had to back out. When prompted to possibly take over the financial responsibility of the hotel room...well, my wife and I were just not comfortable doing that (since we would be rooming with strangers) and the other person was not comfortable with this as well (which made sense). So that was issue number one. Then there was the complications of finances. My wife just got out of the military this year...and unfortunatel the pay we were promised did not come in until much, much later. This meant back-bills and a personal loan we had to take out. The gas, food money, etc for a con just did not make sense.
No matter how much you want to go to a convention...real life responsibilities come first, and unfortunately that played a part in us not being able to go. And lastly, there is still the issue of Rune's suit (but I will bring that up in another section). The plan was that I was supposed to have my other partial done (the character Cheshire). But she was incomplete and I would be poodling this year if anything. While I have nothing against ppl that poodle...as Cheshire has been a project that has taken a very long time...at this point I want a finished result...not just something that's 80% done. This is just my personal preference. And my being uncomfortable in an incomplete partial did kinda affect my decision not to go as well.

Rune's suit has been something of a discussion for awhile now as the head has been falling apart since I got it. I don't blame the maker of Rune as they were new to fursuit making and inexperienced. But the head just has not held up as good as I would have liked. Bald patches among other things make me uncomfortable when wearing Rune. So at one point I was considering just retiring the suit altogether. At first, there was the possibility of getting a 2.0 head from Rune's original maker. They offered to make me a brand-new head (as they said they have learned a lot and have improved a lot) and said that all I had to do was pay shipping. This actually sounded amazing, so I took them up on their offer. Unfortunately, this maker does have a lot going on in their life and they tend to ghost. Rune 2.0 was discussed back in October 2018 and no word of it has been spoken since. After a year, I dont really have any faith that it will get done.
There was a rumor that there was a Rune 2.0 in the works as a possible "gift", but nothing came of that as well.
The final options are either to retire the suit (as planned) or try a refurb. My friend flamesvoices offered to do a refurb as she has some grey fur laying around. That would solve the most noticeable bald spots on the head...but this is a temporary fix and will just extend 1.0's life a little. Ultimately a 2.0 would still be needed in the future...but nothing has been planned since I do not have the money for another suit and probably wont for years to come.

My Furry blog has been silent...mostly because I really have nothing to write about. I could go back to doing interviews and finishing my gaming series, but I have lost almost all inspiration for that. So I'm really not sure when I might start that again if I ever do.

Because of the issue with Rune's head...my YouTube channel has also gone pretty quiet. My plan was to have Cheshire completed so that I could continue making videos with her until Rune 2.0 was available (meanwhile pulling Rune out every once in awhile to do a small video or something). But again, Cheshire still isnt finished...and without the suits, I can not make new content. It's sad because this is not what I had intended to happen. My YouTube channel was my pride and joy. But these things do happen I guess. But it seriously bums me out nonetheless.

I guess the last bit would be that I'm still not in a position where I am financially secure. This year really hit the wife and I really hard with new cars being bought, her Jeep breaking down, and all sorts of other things happening. We have bills running out our ears and nothing went as planned. We were hoping that by now we would have been looking for a house, etc but we just have too much debt that we really need to get rid of first.
So, what little art you see here was something I saved up or it was a gift (or gotten via trade or Amino coins most likely). Rune as a character is collecting dust, and, I feel bad about it...but there really is nothing I can do about it atm. I can not promise that 2020 will be better in this regards (financially) and I'm thinking that making it to a convention would be nearly impossible unless someone else footed the bill (which I do not want or like). So I don't really have any plans.

If I can get Cheshire and bring her home, then I can at least start doing small YT videos again...but if she is not finished then there isn't much else I can do but sit and wait.

Sorry if the updates were a bit depressing, but I just wanted to be open and honest to whoever follows this page.

I have finally reached 900 subscribers over on my YouTube Channel!!!
This actually means a lot to me because I never thought I would see a day where I even made it over 120, let alone beat that number b so much!!!

When I first started the channel, it was meant more for me to record my adventures so I could save them. I didn't expect them to get as popular as they did...I never expected so many people to fall in love with Rune as a character, and I'm so honored for all the things having this channel has brought me: friends, fan-art, just a lovely set of people that make every video 100% worth it!!!

For those that never followed my channel...every 100 subscribers, I color in an Angel-Dragon base to be given away to one lucky person. All you got to do is follow a few rules, and then I generally pick a winner within a week or so. This time to get the Angel Dragon (colored on a Clown-Grin base):

So, it is insane how long it really takes me to recover from a convention...especially when you end up with the con-crud. ^^;

But yes, I made it back from TFF 2018 and decided that maybe it was time just for an update journal?

I had a blast at the con and can't really say too much negative on the convention's part. I know that since this was the first year at the Hyatt Regency, there were some rocky moments; people complaining about lack of parking, the elevators getting backed up and such. Also yes, there was a bit of drama (but it's a Furry con, what do you expect really), but overall my experience was purely positive.

I will say that I took a much different approach to the convention this year. My first TFF was all about wearing a Fursuit for the first time and really getting Rune out there and exposed so that I would feel more 'welcome' and 'accepted' by people. I'm not sure why I thought that was something so important...but it really had me spending the convention looking through mesh eyes the whole time, and it was only later that I realized just how many suits, goodies, and events I had missed.

ACFI was sort of the same way...with my YouTube becoming more, and more popular...I focused less on the convention for 'fun' and spent more of it trying to get pictures to make that next awesome video for my channel. I feel like I spent the con looking through a camera lens...and again, I feel like I missed out on so much even though I had a good time. So this year, I wanted to try something else.

I did not suit as much; part of that was because health-issues, part of it was because Rune's suit is falling apart...but mostly it was because I really wanted to 'see' what this con was and what it had. I took less photos, but when I took a photo, it was more for myself, more personal. I took more pictures out of suit than pictures while in suit to really feel like I was there and that it wasn't just Rune. And honestly, I feel like I had a lot more fun and was a lot more relaxed at this TFF because of these changes.

But I'm home now and I can not say where my schedule will put me.
I spent way too much money at the convention and so I am not sure that I will be there for ACFI this year, Sucks that I might have to miss it, but adulting does come first. Also, Rune's suit really is on its last legs right now. So, I am trying to take it easy...that's one reason why I no longer make as many videos because the more I wear Rune, the more his fur falls out and the glue breaks down...and I'm trying to keep him up for as long as possible.

Because of him falling apart...I will eventually have an announcement on Rune and what I plan to do about him because of his condition. But I am waiting on some things to happen first, some ducks to line up so that I don't have to go and change said-announcement a million time, you know?

I seem to have found myself in an unexpected pickle...

Before I left for California, I thought was good on funds - that I would be scraping by, but that it would be doable. Well, that was BEFORE my ride decided he needed extra funds because he had to pay money at the gate, and that was BEFORE I learned I could not withdraw money from my credit card at the ATM meaning I had to make a Walmart transfer...and that was BEFORE I came home to see that the girl that had fed my fish came over ONE TIME and covered the whole top of the fish tank with flake food, and that now my fish was suffocating at the top of his bowl, and I had to make an emergency change of water....

...leading to the conclusion that this fish needs a NEW tank, and a fucking filter despite what my wife thinks...
SO!!!! I am in need of emergency funds ASAP to not only cover the crazy walmart bill I have now, but to cover a new fish tank with a filter for my fish so that he doesn't have to be completely miserable all the time :(

The fish tank and filter should not run more than $50...
...and the credit card is at least $200 at this point at MINIMUM (I know it's much higher but I can try and pay the rest on my own).

I saw this today on Facebook (it was being shared via friend)- and I figured I would share it here. I guess there has been a Fursuit head stolen from a table at FC (Further Confusion) located in San Jose, California.

The people who made the head/ were displaying it are asking the Community for its safe return. They are asking people to contact the con staff if they see it or if anyone has any information on it :/

Thank you to everyone that went and submitted questions for us to answer. Making this video was so much fun, and, there were so many giggles involved as we got through as many things as we could. Hey everyone.
So, here in the last couple of weeks, I started an account page for my writing commissions:  MasikaTales --- and if you know someone that might be interested in something like this, I would greatly appreciate a boost, so that I could possibly get more watchers.

I have already sold 4 writing commissions that I am very proud of. I get my writing done in less than a week when I am not busy or distracted, and I have only recieved good feedback thus far.

What do I write?

Well, my commissions are adult-themed (generally NSFW) romantic writings between two characters. Porn...I write porn. Haha. That's the blunt way of putting it at least. HOWEVER, I can write anything you desire! I would love to work on more action writings and writing about character lore. But, in general, I mostly write out a sex scene and the building up to said-sex scene for the masses to enjoy.

For those that want a custom story but do not have anyone to be paired with, well, I have some characters that I have in folders just for this occasion. I have males, females, herms, even transforming parasites to basically fit your every need! For $5 you rent a character and then you pay that on top of the commission price.

How much does a story cost though?

My stories are all PWYW (pay what you want) right now. But the minimum for a story is increased to $15 because I think it's pretty fair considering the amount of care and detail I put into my writings. But, I am willing to haggle sometimes if you're having a problem making a certain pay-goal.

Now I have done 10 Furry Features! Something that is also exciting is that I am updating my questions so that future interviews can be even more interesting!!!

That's why I need MORE Fursuiters to interview!!!

It can be a full suit or a partial...can be a quad, it doesn't matter!
So if you are interested in one day being featured in my Furry blog, please, let me know ASAP!!! It's simple...you answer some pre-written questions, send me whatever pictures you wish to be in the feature and then you wait until Friday and see if you appear! Also, you will be given a link to your feature on your profile page when it goes up!!! How does that sound?

Hello all, it's been awhile

So, for those that do not know, I started a Furry blog a few weeks back, and it actually has not been doing too bad!
I'm really excited about it, and all last week I had the chance to interview artists so that I could fill the blog with content! Over 12 artists from FA helped me by answering questions and providing their Fursona so that they could get their names out there...and that's not all!

The blog has a lot of different features and categories that I think people can enjoy and get excited about:


1. Furry Highlights: Furry highlights is where I showcase furries from all over the world. I showcase artists (linking back to their galleries of course), watchers, suiters, other types of hobbyists. If you are a furry then there's a chance to appear on my blog. The only questions I have fleshed out right now are for artists...but, once I get other questions fleshed out, different variations of people in the Furry community and fandom will start to appear. I want to be the voice for those that think they are invisible. I want to bring us all together via our love for anthro and feral animals alike. So this is the main feature of the blog.

2. Fandom Issues: I feel that anymore, what tears up the fandom is not the criticism that we get from the people hating on the outside...I now feel as though most of the division and hate in the fandom comes from the inside. Between wars of species, the white knights that like to attack on people, or even hate groups against "basic furs"... we are fighting amongst ourselves when we should be uniting to stand against the hate we still get from the outside. There will always be inner battles of a fandom, and this section will discuss that.

3. Furries in the Media: I want to showcase furs in the media when I find it. Newspaper articles, actual footage of conventions, and etc. I want to showcase the Furry Community as a whole for the world to see. This section basically explains itself...and will most likely be used as a post-filler when I'm not interviewing someone and/or have fallen behind on posting ^^;

4. Shoutouts! Because what blog is not complete without a shoutout section to the awesome people that help promote the blog and/or help the blogger? It's just polite really. :p

5. Rune's Rants and Vents: I'm just like anyone else and occasionally, I have to let off some steam about a subject matter. That does not make me a terrible person because it's normal. Also, it's my blog...so I can technically do what I want. Either way, I am going to be opinionated, and the ranting and venting posts are a means for not only getting some weight off my chest, but a chance at a discussion with others.

So there you have it...that's the gist of my blog, my "Magnum Opus" as of right now.

Questions are anywhere between 10-20 long and everything I ask is always optional (so you don't have to really answer the things that might make you uncomfortable).
