itch and On Your Day Off—Mailing List/What's Next
Posted 3 months agoI've been out of the loop for a few days due to travel, but I've seen the news and it's really unfortunate what's happening to itch. However, development for On Your Day Off is still going to continue, it just won't be hosted on itch.io anymore. We're looking into transitioning to a different platform and currently in the process of exploring our options to find the right fit.
In the meantime, we also want to make sure you're kept in the loop as we migrate to a new site, especially when it comes to hearing about next steps and where we're going to land. If you're following me or
ninetht on here you'll get updates on the big news, although I'd also like to put together a mailing list for you to join if you'd like to have notifications sent directly to you—you can join the mailing list here!
Your email will be kept confidential and won't be shared with anyone else, and we're only going to use this mailing list to communicate about the following:
—Site transition progress and updates
—New site launch and next steps
—Opportunities for you to provide your feedback
—Release notes for future releases
Thanks so much, and despite this setback from itch.io we're excited to keep working on development for On Your Day Off!
In case you haven't already, please also join us on the On Your Day Off Discord server!

Comms closed for now, thanks!
Posted 9 months agoEnormous thanks to everyone for submitting your ideas for story commissions, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your interest! I received so many submissions, it was hard to choose which ones to go with! I've contacted folks whose commissions I've chosen to work on for this round, and the commission form is now closed.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Opening for Commissions Feb. 1
Posted 9 months agoIt's been a while since I've done writing commissions, and I'm excited to get back into them, opening on February 1! You can check out more details on my comms sheet for this year here.
Some quick notes:
—Spots will be limited, I'll be accepting 5 – 6 story comms; commissions will close when all spots are filled.
—I'll be capping my maximum word count for a commission at 20,000 words; if an idea looks like it's going to be more than that, I'll either work with you to edit it down to a manageable length (meaning some parts of your idea may need to be cut) or reject it. This is primarily to avoid burnout on longer commissions, as well as to allow me to accept a larger number of commissions.
—For an idea of how much you might get for 20,000 words or under, please check out the Short Story submissions in my gallery—I also have stories marked as Flash Fiction for even shorter stories (3,000-word maximum)
—For a while I was avoiding stories that focused on certain themes (i.e., castration, penectomy, due to burnout), but I'm open to all themes again! (At least for what I have listed on my F-List page!)
Thanks!

Happy New Year + Officially on BlueSky!
Posted 10 months agoHappy New Year, folks! Here's hoping that 2025 brings good things to you all!
To kick off the new year, I've officially started a new BlueSky account and I'm making moves to get off of the Elmo site—if you like pup stuff and want to see me in a hood and wearing little-to-no clothing while in compromising poses, you can find me at otto-the-pup.bsky.social <3

Is moving to Bluesky worth it?
Posted 12 months agoIn light of recent events, I'm currently making moves to shut down the page I have on the Elmo site, where I was mostly posting pup play stuff and following artists I also follow on here. It seems Bluesky is the place to be if one wants to continue having some kind of social media presence, although my question for folks who have made the move, is it worth it to kind of "start from scratch" again?
Huge Brain Fart, Sorry!
Posted a year agoSo I just realized I had a massive brain fart and thought today was actually May 1st instead of April 30, and I posted the ODYO Patreon teaser a day early when the new content hasn't actually posted yet. Sorry for the confusion there! I've taken down the teaser and I'll post it tomorrow when the actual Patreon content launches. [insert facepalm gif]
Story Commissions Opening 4/10
Posted a year agoNope, this is not an April Fool's Day joke, I'm opening story comms again on April 10th!
Due to time constraints and other projects, I'll have 2 slots available. Additionally, for this particular round of commissions, I'm looking to work on stories that do not involve cbt, castration, penectomy, nullification, etc. While I absolutely loooooove working with these themes, I don't want to get burnt out on them by overdoing them (and a lot of the recent stuff I've been working on has featured those topics), and I'd enjoy working with other subjects, too (and I'll return to those topics after I've "recharged my batteries" on them!).
You can submit your ideas for commissions through my Commission Request Form when it opens on April 10, although if you have an idea that you want to run by me beforehand to see if I'd be interested in it, feel free to send me a note!
For more info on my comms including pricing and offerings, take a look at my comm sheet here:

Latest News and Plans for Early 2024
Posted 2 years agoDang, 2023 has been a busy year! I'm pleased to announce that the latest version of the VN I've been working on—On Your Day Off—has been released and it feels so good to have V0.4 done! I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I've enjoyed writing and development, and I can't thank
ninetht enough for creating such fantastic art for it! And of course a very special thank you to all of you who have tested this game and provided feedback!
I'm going to be taking a break from writing for a couple weeks so I can recharge my batteries—I've also somehow managed to fill my commission queue for January even though it's been a while since I've been open for comms! Thanks to folks for reaching out and wanting to commission work from me, I really appreciate it! I'm going to knock out those stories first thing, and my plan is to officially open for comms again in early spring (meaning that once I'm done with the comms already on my plate, I won't be taking on more so I can give other folks a chance to commission me).
In the meantime, I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday season! And thank you so much for a terrific 2023!

Status Updates
Posted 2 years agoJust in case you’ve been curious about my radio silence/lack of posting for all of June, it’s been a way busier month than I anticipated, but I do have a bunch of fun stuff in the works that I’m planning to share throughout July! But here’s the rundown of where my current projects stand:
Commissions: Comms work has been impacted by my day job more than I expected, but I’m making progress on my queue. I’m getting close to wrapping up the first story in my pipeline and should be chugging through the second and third spots in July.
Vacation Souvenirs: As of right now, I’m about halfway through writing Chapter 10—it’s a long one with lots of good stuff in it that I hope you’ll enjoy and will (hopefully) be worth the wait! I’d like to finish both Chapter 10 and the epilogue before I post them together—hopefully I can have that done before the end of July, depending on how I juggle my schedules.
On Your Day Off: Mark July 10th on your calendars, that’s the official release date for the V0.3 demo of my visual novel! You can find more info about the release here.
Commissioned art: I’ve got a good chunk of art that I’ve scheduled to post early next week, and I’m spreading it out over a few days so as to avoid flooding your inboxes :)
Thanks gang!

Commissions Closed + Notes Sent
Posted 2 years agoI'm officially closed for story commissions, thank you so much to everyone who submitted a request form! I've also sent out notes to the commissioners whose requests were accepted—I only had 3 slots available, and there were so many good ideas! if you did not receive a note from me, your story idea was not accepted for this round of commissions, but you're welcome to submit again when I re-open.
Thanks so much!

Updates: OYDO, Story Comms, and Vacation Souvenirs
Posted 2 years ago3-part update for y'all!
Visual Novel: On Your Day Off
I'm stoked to announce that V0.2 is going to drop on May 1! Thank you all so much for your patience and support as I've been working on writing and development and the fantastic
ninetht has been cranking out fantastic character art—you can check out more of the details about the V0.2 release in this post here.
Story Commissions
I've been recharging my batteries, and I'm excited to let y'all know that I'm planning to re-open for story comms on May 20! Here's a quick rundown of what my comms are going to look like (and I'll have more details when I post about opening in May):
—I am changing my offerings—rather than categorizing based on word limits from the start, commissions will be capped at an absolute maximum of 50K words (which covers flash fiction, short stories, and novellas), so technically I'll be offering everything and then figure out what category your story fits into after it's been finished.
—I am limiting the number of commission requests I accept—angling for 2 – 3 requests per round of story commissions, so I'm going to be highly selective. That said, I'll provide guidance for what I'm accepting when I do open again (for example, I might be available to do 1 novella length and 2 flash fiction-length stories with specific themes, etc.).
—I am planning to increase my prices—I haven't nailed them down just yet, but I'll have an updated pricing sheet available for when I do re-open.
Vacation Souvenirs
I'm continuing work on this story and really enjoying it—thank y'all so much for the positive feedback on it so far, it's been such a fun story to work on! And I'm planning to post Chapter 7 (broken into multiple parts like the last few chapters have been) on April 23!

On Your Day Off—Visual Novella V0.1 Release TODAY!
Posted 2 years agoIt's a beautiful summer day in San Lugos, and you've decided to take a personal day from work. This is a day full of so many possibilities—you could meet up with friends, explore around town, go hiking, be lazy, or...well, who knows what else you might want to do? It's your day off, after all.
I’m excited and pleased to announce the release of the V0.1 demo of my visual novella I’ve been working on, On Your Day Off! Both PC and Mac versions are available to download for free here at https://runneroo.itch.io/on-your-day-off
I have to shout out a GIGANTIC THANKS to the marvelously talented and fantastic
ninetht for creating such amazing sprite and full-image artwork for this VN—it’s such a pleasure working with her, and I can’t recommend her highly enough!!
As this is V0.1, it’s just the first demo build, and includes the following:
—1 complete story route
—1 partial story route
—1 unlockable ending that you can replay
Later builds will have more content as it’s developed and integrated into the game, although some content will be exclusive to the final paid version of the game. Until then, all builds that are released will be free, but if you’d like to send a donation to help support this project, I’d greatly appreciate it!
Additionally, if you have feedback about the current build (including critiques about the story, visuals, and audio, as well as any technical issues you may encounter), there’s a link you can use from the main menu page of the game, or you can send it through via the survey form here.
Thanks again for your patience and support while this game is in development, and I’m stoked to share future updates with you (so stay tuned)!

Upcoming Updates!
Posted 2 years agoHi all! I've got a small batch of updates around my current projects and what's on the horizon for you:
First, I want to give a gigantic THANK YOU to everyone who filled out my Writer in Review survey I posted back in January—y'all gave me so much amazing and thought-provoking feedback that I'm working on incorporating into my writing as I move forward, as well as some excellent story themes to write about. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate the positive notes you gave! Thank you so, so much!
Visual Novel: On Your Day Off
Technical development has been going well for the most part, just got a couple bugs to still work through before releasing V0.1 on March 20, but it will be ready for you to play! Writing has also been going really well and I've been putting together a bunch more content, and the fabulous
ninetht is making more amazing art for it! V0.1 is kind of a prototype with just one complete story route and one partial route, and I'm excited for you to see what we've been working on! I'm hoping to do one release per month, with more content in each release—the free builds won't have all the story content in them, but the final paid version will (and the date on when that's going to be complete and ready is very much TBD).
Vacation Souvenirs
I'm in the process of writing another multi-part novella (because apparently I just love doing more work for myself), and I'm aiming to keep to a schedule of posting a chapter every week/every two weeks; I'm thinking there's going to be maybe 6-8 chapters, and I'm going to use this space to post about upcoming dates when the next chapter will be posted:
Chapter 6: April 12
Other Personal Writing
While I'm working on On Your Day Off and Vacation Souvenirs, I'm also going to be doing some more personal writing on the side—OYDO and VS are kind of like the dog bones I'm chewing on for a while, I'll get distracted with another toy to play with for a bit, and then I'll go back to the bones to chew on them some more. So if/when you see me post other writing work (for example, I have a short story I'm planning to post on March 19 instead of the next chapter of VS), just know that the bigger projects are still going on in the background!
Commissions and Personal Projects
As of right now, I'm aiming to re-open for comms in early/mid-May. I am going to be updating my pricing and offerings, my commission request form, my terms of service (minor adjustments based on lessons learned), and how payments will work, and I'm going to do much smaller commission queues compared to what I've done previously—taking on 8 stories at a time was a lot! I also need to intentionally carve out time for personal projects in between commissions, so after finishing each small batch of comms, I'll take a break for personal writing before re-opening. I'll have more updates on comms in the future, but just know that it's something I'm still thinking about and looking forward to doing again after my batteries recharge!

Writer in Review Survey and Plan for 2023
Posted 3 years agoI hope everyone had a splendid holiday season! It’s hard to believe how fast 2022 flew by, and we’re already into the new year!
To kick off 2023, I wanted to hear from y’all about my writing—not as an ego boost, but as an opportunity to reflect on how I can do better by collecting genuine (and anonymous) feedback from you on what you like about my stories, what I’m doing well, and how I can improve my writing. I can’t get better as a writer without constructive criticism, and I’m really curious to hear your thoughts (and super grateful for any input you have!).
If you have 10-15 minutes (or more, depending on how much feedback you want to give), I’d really appreciate it if you could fill out this survey!
As for my plan for 2023, I don’t have my whole year mapped out, but I do have a rough start on what I’m aiming to accomplish:
—Current Commissions: Complete the last commission in my current queue. (last commission officially done and posted!)
—Visual Novel: Begin technical development on my visual novel (stay tuned for more news there) and continue writing the story—aim for V0.1 Demo release in in early spring. (Technical development is in progress and going well!)
—YCH Stories: Release 5 YCH flash fiction stories focused on different forms of sacrifice (slots released and all sold, all 5 stories written and posted!).
—Other Personal Writing Projects: I currently have one personal story in flight that’s going to take a while, and I’ve got a few other story ideas in mind, but I’d like to work on these more after finishing current commission work.
—Commissions Hiatus: I’m approaching the burnout point with commission work, so after I finish the last commission in my queue, I’m going to hold off on re-opening for comms until at least April or May. I’m doing this to re-charge my batteries and focus on more of my personal projects, which have taken a backseat for the past five months. In the meantime, I’m also going to look at reconfiguring how I structure my commissions (including my selection process, how many comms I’ll take at a time, queue management, etc.)—I’ll have more on this later, and I’ll share updates as they come.
I hope everyone has a great start to the new year, and here’s to a terrific 2023!

Notes have been sent out to let folks know that their comms have been accepted, and I'm excited to work with y'all!

Visual Novella Story Feedback Please!
Posted 3 years agoI've been working on pumping out content for this visual novella I want to produce, and it's been going pretty well so far! It's going to be based on 6 initial decisions, which can then lead to 18 separate endings, all based on different themes and kinks. The working title is On Your Day Off, and it follows the player character making decisions about what to do on his day off.
Where I'd love some assistance from y'all is feedback on the story content, if you're willing and have some time to read through what I've got and provide some notes! I have the intro and two main sections completely written and scripted out with decision points, scenery, and sprites.
Both documents are linked below, and feel free to add comments wherever you like/feel is appropriate. Any and all constructive feedback/questions/comments are welcome and appreciated! Mainly I want to make sure the writing style is good for this format, if you're getting a clear sense of the story, and if you feel like there's too much or not enough—where can material be added/removed, etc.
Intro and Section A (contains 1 ending, solo service and "watching porn" themes)
Intro and Section B (contains 2 different endings, vore themes)
Thanks so much, and stay tuned for more info!

Story Commissions Opening 8/15
Posted 3 years agoAugust is here, and I'm gearing up to open my story comms on the 15th! Commissions must be submitted via my request form, which I'll open and provide the link for on 8/15.
In the meantime, you can check out my commission prices and info here.
And my Terms of Service and F-List.
While I'm open to a lot of different themes, I want to highlight some specific themes that will really get my attention. Although this list isn't meant to limit what stories I will and won't accept—please feel free to submit story ideas for anything from castration to the most vanilla cuddling scene you can think of! The themes listed below are just the ones that I'd personally really enjoy receiving:
—Age Difference
—Puppy Play
—MPreg
—Tribal (deity sacrifice, tribe rituals, etc.)
—Urethral
—CBT
—Vore of just about any kind
—Bestiality/Zoo
—Brain Drain
—Sci-Fi/Fantasy Elements

Starting Work on A Visual Novella—Artist Suggestions?
Posted 3 years agoSomething I've mentioned in the past that I've been wanting to do is create an interactive visual novella, and I'm finally getting started on it as a side project! Scenarios are laid out, characters have been chosen, and I've begun writing bits and pieces. This is going to be something I'll be working on alongside commissions (opening in mid-August, stay tuned for more info!) as a passion project, and fingers crossed I stay passionate about it. My philosophy and practice with it will be something I can pick up and put down in between work and other stories, so don't expect anything immediate to materialize. But it's something that's in the works, and I'm excited about it!
I don't have any details to share out yet, as I'm just getting started, but one question I wanted to put out there is if anyone has recommendations for artists who either have experience working on VNs or are looking for experience working on VNs?
Thanks gang, and looking forward to sharing progress in the future!

About Story Commissions
Posted 3 years agoI've been working through my queue and getting close to wrapping up the last story! This batch has been a lot of fun AND a lot of work, and it's been helping me both grow as a writer and re-evaluate my comms structure and pricing. As I've been working and putting pen to paper, I've been making some decisions about the future of my work, so I have a few updates to share with you all:
—To give myself some time to recharge, work on a few personal projects (both writing and physical crafts-related), and enjoy vacation time, I'm going to be closing shop for the summer, with the plan to reopen around mid-August. I hope this isn't too long of a wait, and I really appreciate your patience as I take the space to refill my batteries! In the meantime, I'm happy to talk through ideas with you and do some brainstorming, but that won't translate to any outlining or story writing until I officially reopen for story commissions. It's possible during the summer I might do a YCH story auction in the meantime, but I'll keep you posted.
—Inflation—we've all felt the hit, and it's no fun, but something I find necessary to do is to raise my prices by a few dollars here and there. Hopefully nothing to break the bank, so to speak, but enough to adjust for what's happening, and hopefully my price increases are reasonable enough that they don't spook you! I'm going to post an updated commission price sheet soon, and these price changes will be effective when I reopen for work (which means for the last stories in my current queue, my original pricing applies to your commissions).
—I'm going to be changing my offerings when I reopen for work. Currently, I offer 3 levels of stories: Flash Fiction (500-1,000 words), Short Story (1,000-8,000 words), and Novella (10,000-50,000). A lot of short stories I've written for both commissions and myself have gone upwards of 10,000 words, some of my more recent flash fictions have trended up to 1,500 words, and I'd like to take a break from longer novellas (which take a ton of time and energy to put together)—for these reasons, when I reopen for work, Flash Fictions will be 500-2,500 words, Short Stories will be limited to 15,000 words, and I will no longer offer Novellas (although this could be subject to change—for instance, I could end up taking on only 1 Novella per commission batch; while that's not something I'm considering at this time, I reserve the right to change my mind in the future).
That's all I wanted to share for now. And I want to give a gigantic THANK YOU to everyone who has commissioned me, considered commissioning me, and read my work! It really means a lot that you enjoy my writing—your faves, positive feedback, helpful critiques, and creepy comments are so inspiring and motivating, and I'm looking forward to producing more in the future!
