Tribute Song For Dogbomb
General | Posted 6 years ago"With You I Can Run Forever"
These words sum up the great feeling some of us, who knew him, had when hanging out with Tony Barret aka
dogbomb
He was a super friendly guy with a great personality and a love for animals and furries. A party hound, a lover of life. His passing left a hole in the furry fandom that can't be filled. All we can do is honor his memory.
That said, myself, with aid of other We Are One members,
tchalchal
arc_flash
rhubarbthebear along with
peppercoyote and
foxamoore
have put together a tribute song in his honor and will be available for download soon. All money made from it will go to the ALS Association in Dogbomb's name.
We worked really hard to make this happen. Getting Foxes & Peppers to help was especially awesome. They recorded their parts in the middle of their busy touring schedule. Fox's keys and Pepper's voice. I am so grateful for their contribution. Chal also did an incredible amount of work laying down the initial guitar tracks. Not an easy song. Also singing the opening verse. Having Arc Flash Fox lay the bass and Rhubarb lending his voice, all together, making this collaboration one for the books.
The song is a cover of "With You I Can Run Forever" from the Animaalympics Soundtrack. Written by Graham Gouldman and originally recorded by his band, 10cc. Our version has be recorded and mixed. It is now off to mastering. As soon as it is finished, it will go up on my Bandcamp page for $.99 with the option to pay more. Again, ALL MONEY taken in from this download will go to the ALS Association in Dogbomb's name.
I hope you will all find it in your hearts to help and spread the word to your friends.

Buried My Friend Of Over 40 Years....
General | Posted 6 years agoYesterday we buried my friend of over 40 years. He was the first legit friend I had growing up in Cranston, Ri. Our first meeting was when I crashed into the back tire of his purple Sears Free Spirit bike with our neighbor's daughters Big Wheel, which 10 minutes before, I stole out of their front yard. I looked up at Brian, my hair covering my eyes, and said, "Sawrry" I was then known as 'Cousin It for the longest time.
He and I would become best friends. Like brothers. We shared everything, including a love for music. From an early age I was fascinated with music, reel to reel tapes and records. That was my grandfather's influence and encouragement. I loved it all, especially drumming. It was no shock hat I would eventually take up the instrument and become the person I am now.
A huge influence on Brian and I was his brother, Gary. Gary had a small collection of albums and a kick ass stereo. Brian and I would blast music in his parent's living room and we'd pretend we were the band. Kiss was probably THE band to really send us into our musical adventures. Much like what The Beatles did for so many bands to come after them.
Brian eventually got a guitar. It was a Fender Mustang copy. Candy apple red. He would try to learn anything he could. At this time I was given a drum kit for Christmas. Then my parents, after seeing how well I took to the drums, signed me up for drum lessons. I lived, ate, shit, slept and breathed drums from then on.
As time went by, jr. high school would be the beginning of Brian and I to think of forming a band. Brian wanted to be a front man, ended up buying a bass and hooked up with Bill DeLuca, who was learning guitar. We would form Dionysus. With this line up we'd go through a few bass players until, a few years later, as the punk scene was really taking off in '82 - '83, Rodger was introduced as our new bassist and the name was changed to Vague Perception.
With the complete line up we would put together a set list of songs, record our first single, "Crucify The Stupid" w/ "Run To The Greenhouse" and "Masturbator In The Elevator" and take the Providence punk scene by storm, or, at least a decent rain.
So many great times, bad times fucked up times, equipment fights where we'd all be so impatient and frustrated we'd through our interments at each other. Drunk times, high times, drunk and high times. It was a crazy 10 years with this band for me. I wouldn't have gotten up on stage with the Dead Kennedys at Lupo's that night if Brian hadn't grabbed my shirt and tell me, "You're going to play with the Dead Kennedys." Long story short, DKs drummer was very late so Jello pulled drummers from the audience to sit in until Peligro showed up. It was a huge impact on me.
He was a master manipulator, ring leader, friend, enemy, drunk stoner and joker all in one. But, most of all, he had a heart. He had a dream to keep alive by any means necessary and he fucking did it. He kept Vague Perception going for 35 years.
It was some crazy times, my friend....
Rest In Peace, Brian Rotgut Luiz.

Off to Anthrocon 2019
General | Posted 6 years agoAbout to hit the road for my 8 hour trek to AC, This will be the busiest con I have ever attended. Playing drums for 3 concerts and the talent show. My fursuit band, We Are One, is debuting. I'm both excited and nervous as hell. I'm playing both of Foxes And Peppers concerts. One during the Furry Music Festival on Friday and their After Dark show Saturday night. I'm also playing a song with my sax player, Shy Skunk, in the Anthrocon Tonight talent show. I'm going to be wiped out by the time this con is over.
I hope to see a full concert hall for the music festival. so many great musicians on one stage in one afternoon. It's going to be something to remember.

We Are One's Tribute to Dogbomb AC 2019
General | Posted 6 years agoI'm brain farting the year and con I first met Dogbomb. What I do remember is he was hanging outside the hotel bar, with a Corona in his paw and a lei around his neck, chatting with some other furs. Super nice guy. I was in fursuit and I remember him seeing me and saying, :"OH! Hey there, Runtt!" I had know idea he had even heard of me. I was surprised. We talked for around 10 minutes then I had to shuffle off. We did run into each other a number of times after that. He was such a laid back shep and had this amazing glow about him. You can imagine my heartbreak after reading his post about being diagnosed with ALS. I followed him on Twitter and from the time he announced it, all the way up to his passing, he was a beacon of strength and courage.
This year, at Anthrocon, my band, We Are One, will be playing a tribute song to
Dogbomb during our concert.
We will also be randomly pawing out leis to audience members. The song is from the Animalympics movie called, "With You I Can Run Forever." If you knew Dogbomb, he was an avid runner. Ran marathons for charity. I thought this would be a perfect song to honor him.
We Are One members as well as
peppercoyote and
foxamoore are also lending their talents to a recording of the song which, once recorded, mixed and mastered, will be available for download. All proceeds from it will go to the ALS Foundation in Dogbomb's name.
The recording will feature myself on drums and vocals (bridge).
tchalchal on guitar and vocals (1st verse).
Arc_flash on bass.
rhubarbthebear on vocals (2nd verse).
peppercoyote on vocals (3rd verse and final chorus harmonies).
foxamoore on keyboards.
There might also be actual horns on this. Crossing my fingers.
I do hope, if you are going to AC this year, please join us and all the other wonderful bands at the Furry Music Festival on Friday afternoon.
Make this an unforgettable experience for us all. Show some love and support for your furry artists. Without YOU we can't do this.
Cheers! ^^

My Album, Eulogy, Update
General | Posted 6 years agoThe final mixes have been sent to mastering. It might be cutting it close, but there is a chance I'll have copies for sale at Anthrocon. So many set backs due to automotive failures. If I can get the tracks back by the end of next week, there should be plenty of time to get a couple of hundred printed up.
Here's hoping.
Here's hoping.
We Are One at Anthrocon Update.
General | Posted 6 years agoIt's been a hectic few months for me. Recording done, mastering to be done, but first, my truck needs to be fixed. That friggin' 'check engine' light. OI!
A couple of personnel changes in the fursuit band line up. We may be adding Scurrow to play accordion on a couple songs. Key parts that will just push them right over the edge to awesomeness. Still have a complete horn section, 2 guitars, bass, drums (obviously) keys and vox. Dare I say I will be singing and playing drums in fursuit. I'm soooo dead.
Working with Dog Monstr, Pepper Coyote and the other musical acts, we are putting on a the first ever Anthrocon Music Festival. All the big musical acts on one stage in one 4 hour block of entertainment, Friday afternoon.
The festival will include Citrine Husky, Xephyr, We Are One, Foxes & Peppers and Scurrow.
I'll be playing with We Are One AND Foxes & Peppers. Glad there are 2 acts between the sets. I'll definitely need to cool down considerably.
It's going to be huge fun and I really hope you all who are going to Anthrocon this year will come out and support us. Remember, without YOU we can't do this.

Album Update.
General | Posted 6 years agoMIXING IS DONE!
I just okayed the last of the tacks and soon the files will be off to mastering.
One interesting thing happened. At no charge to me, my engineer did a slight remix of "One World" to fit in with the rest of the songs. He flet the original mix didn't quite fall into place with the rest of the songs, so, the version on the album will sound slightly different than the single. 10 tracks in all clocking in at just over 40 minutes.
The awesome
ClockworkWolf0 is doing the cover art. Recently shared an unfinished version of the front on my Twitter account. Looks beautiful. The subject matter took a lot out of me and you can hear it in my voice on the songs I sing, in particular, the final 4 songs on the album dealing with the death of my nephew, hence the title of the album, "Eulogy". I just hope you all will like it.
That's all for now...

Set List For AC 2019 DONE!
General | Posted 7 years agoI put together a set list for the 'We Are One' concert at Anthrocon this year.
12 to 13 songs, depending on time. Need to allow for banter. ^^
It will be a mix of covers and original music. Doing a few songs from my upcoming album
and an oldie of mine that has never been performed live, EVER. So, look forward to that.
Dare I say I put together a 10 piece band for our first concert?
3 guitarists, a universal musician, bass, 3 horns, 1 of 2 possible keyboardists,
and myself on drums. Hopefully some special guest singers as well. Working on that.
I also put in for a "FURSUIT MUSICIANS" panel.
Playing and instrument and singing in fursuit is very difficult and strenuous.
There's a special kind of love and heart that goes into it in order to entertain
the community of furries we hold dear.
Show your love and support.
Mark it in your schedule once AC releasing it. Come see us perform, tell friends.
Advertise the hell out of it. WITHOUT YOU we can't do this.

Album Is Coming Together Nicely - Update
General | Posted 7 years agoSo close and still much work to be done. Once mixing is complete, it's off to mastering then on line digital release and CDs. I can't thank the people who helped me make this album happen enough. I won't do icons, but here is a list of the amazing musicians I enlisted for this project. I played many instruments and sang,
but these furries made everything so much better.
First off, a HUGE thank you to Chal for all the amazing guitar work. I never worked with a more perfect guitarist. Not only can he play ANYTHING, he does it with melody and precision. ALL the guitar solos are him and some of the rhythm guitars. We shared in that department. He also lent his voice as backing vocalist on "What You Did". Super talented individual. I owe him so much after this is finished.
Pepper Coyote for vocals on "One World" and the heart wrenching vocals on "26 Years". A song I simply couldn't get through due to the subject matter. THANK YOU!
Arc Flash and Rhubarb The Bear for their bass skills.
Arc, bass on "Back To The Forest" & "Chemical Symphony"
Rhubarb, bass on "One World" and both bass and classical acoustic on "26 Years".
Matthew Ebel, backing vocals on "Back To The Forest" and the orchestral outro on "Chemical Symphony".
Tonya Song, flute on "Say Yes" and piano on "Questions".
Kader, lead vocal on "Flossing With A G-String".
I played drums, guitar, bass, keyboards and sang lead and backing vocals.
Album title: Eulogy
One World - Complete and available on iTunes, Amazon and several other digital music outlets.
Images - Mixed
Too Late - Mixed.
26 Years - Mixed.
What You Did - Mixed.
Flossing With A G-String - Being mixed.
Chemical Symphony - Being mixed.
Back To The Forest - Being mixed.
Say Yes - Final tracks being recorded.
Questions - Still working on it. Will be ready shortly.
Cover art is in the works.
I enlisted the wonderful
ClockworkWolf0 to do the cover. The preliminary sketches look great.
GO CHECK OUT HIS GALLERY!
Still need to put together the final track order. And, if you are going to AC2019 I may be performing some of this material with my fursuit band, We Are One. Just waiting to hear back from programming if we got on the schedule.

hali (Matthew Ebel) just sent me his backing vocal tracks to "Back To The Forest". If you are aware of his music, you know it sounds fantastic.
Even

Song list thus far:
Too Late / 26 Years
Chemical Symphony
Say Yes
Questions
Back To The Forest
One World

Fetishes
General | Posted 7 years agoI just never understood fetishes. Wet & messy, rubber, bondage, master / slave, pain, tentacles, baby fur / age regression / cub, diapers, bodily waste, plushie, micro / macro, oversized genitalia, vore, un-birthing, tattoos, piercings, gauging and, not sure what you call it, but the insertion of large objects into the anal and vaginal cavity. All just odd to me. Now, to be absolutely clear, I'm not in any way saying it's wrong. If it's something you are into, so be it. Doesn't bother me. I just never understood it.
I'm a gay man. I like gay men. Nothing fancy about me.
I have no piercing or tattoos. Never felt a need.

C-boys WTF????
General | Posted 7 years agoAre cunt boys there so straight guys can have a sort of male/male encounter without being called a homosexual? "I'm not gay. HE has a vagina." I don't get it.
