3 years have gone and what I said in my last journal "State of afFAirs" still rings true. Status quo has prevailed over the furry economy: still being in bondage to Furaffinity due to the "Popufurs". However, so many things have changed over the last three years in my personal life, for the better I am glad to report! Renewed health, a new career and a new philosophy of life.
Two fortunate events have allowed me to have clarity, insight, on what to do with this page. For one, the password hacking and subsequent mandatory password reset gave me the much needed push to lock myself out of my accounts... and it was good! Int resulted in less stress from my daily incursions at this hot code mess that is this web 1.0 page. The only inconvenience was that people seems to link you porn on FA by default, hahah~!
But second, and most importantly, during the last months of December and January I finally met up with a really special person, after a bit more than 6 years of knowing each other online... After being the most faithful moral support to each other. It couldn't have come at a better time, given the deplorable state the world is, two and a half minutes before midnight, that we got a chance to give love a chance, despite all the cultural differences. My will to live has never been so fierce because of that thin hope of seeing him again.
It was at his house that I finally gave up on my silly stubbornness that has deprived me of certain things, furry porn chiefly (>:3), without giving up my values and principles. In fact, quite on the opposite, my "values and principles", pride, pale and vanish in comparison to the love I have for this man that now I gleefully call my boyfriend. I have rediscovered my equilibrium~
I have come to keep my side of the bargain, make one last change to my profile and leave here, in this forgotten web page, the Official Proof of Furry Mateship on FurAffinity™ I hope and dream that it will stay here forever, or at least as long as we live and remember, a blink in the cosmos but as precious as the heart I drew in the fogged window of your mom's car. May it stay as another ephemeral proof of the brief eternity we lived together this last month, when you welcomed me as part of your family.
Now, finally and from here on, I won't add to FurAffinity's artistic scene in any meaningful way for the reasons I exposed in the journal that I wrote 3 years ago; I can't support what I think is an IT disservice. That's my simple opinion. On the other hand I will add to the furry fandom and its culture, until I die of old I'm guessing and hoping. If you search for me you will find me~ <3

State of afFAirs
General | Posted 12 years agoYes, I know most won't care since, I'm no popufur so why someone should. It's just that it almost seems as if I'm waiting for something external comes and push me completely out of FurAffinity. Rather, it seems that I'm waiting to give this thing some sort of closure... But I can't see if it is worth anymore since the person I was going to do it for is going to mostly be purged out of my life, for my own mental, emotional and affective sanity... I mean, it WOULD be nice to give it closure but, considering the following...
Oh, and no. This doesn't have anything to do with Mr. Zaush despite of whatever terrible rumor I've heard. In fact I don't have anything against him, or any specific admin's double moral to be honest, and mostly I hate throwing stones as if I were "the most righteous fur in the world" (what an oxymoron...).
It's just that, I'm unsatisfied with the FA experience. As an aspiring software engineer I can see what a logistic nightmare running a site with a traffic this big... But the coding horrors, the complete lack of order, "support" and updates that ONLY come for the most critical exploits... I'm still pissed with the veekun incident and the lack of hindsight... Just look at Pwn2Own and Pwnium style contest! If a knowledgeable user comes to you with an exploit of your future, and the potential fix, you hire them and YOU DON'T FUCKING GIVE THEM THE BANHAMMER!
And the diplomatic skills of the administration team... oh man... They even punish for stuff that happens outside of the site! Did that people deserve it? Probably! But it is highly unethical to deny a service for things that are in... a... TOS... hah~! ^_^
And please, nobody bring the "you aren't paying for it" or the "it is their money/server/service and they can do whatever they want" cards. In fact the "why won't you stop complaining and just leave" card is useless too because I'M DOING SO AS SOON AS I WRAP UP THINGS! Also, the fact that something is free doesn't mean it has to suck (exactly like the delicious cold beer that my friend Danny offered me last time I visited her house). I'm not going to consume spoiled stuff, even if I get paid, and neither should you!
I'd just love for more people to boldly move out the site because, the more time goes on, the more art gets on the site and hence "more work" is needed to migrate, mostly for watchers because they have to track their favorites again. Artists could get the job done with most of the automatized tools out there anyway.
But in the degenerated furry art economy, for artists (specially popular ones) doing so means "losing a big portion of potential clients", whatever that is because for most popufurs it is just numbers: Numbers that pay the bills. I'm not saying it is wrong because, hey, we are all in our right to get paid for hard work with skills that took years to develop.
But by doing so they help to propagate this unending vicious circle that goes on and on and on. Watchers (and thus potential commissioners) go to the rather lackluster dump where "everybody is in". Artists don't leave because that dump is teeming with an unending source ofmoney people...
If only artists could realize that they can draw the masses by themselves... Haven't they realized that their fanbase will follow them in proportion of their rightful skills? ARE THEY REALLY THAT INSECURE ABOUT THEIR SKILLS AND PREFER THE COVER OF A DIRTY SECURITY BLANKET?
POPUFUR, YOU HAVE THE POWER!

Should I delete everything from my FA accounts and close them so I get discouraged (and hopefully help to discourage) on using the site? Or should I just leave it, based on how pissed off I get when someone goes and BAAAWWWletes everything? Take into account that I'm not quitting... whatever I'm doing in the fandom. MLP:FiM Season 3 Finale
General | Posted 13 years agoI almost cried in the way that this truly how the series should end. It's like the perfect happy ending, flashbacks of afterlife-like experience included. Unfortunately season 4 means that the series has just jumped the shark instead of "putting the final dot" on the perfect spell that FiM was.
I'm giving the writers the benefit of doubt but since Lauren Faust's retire, Derpy name canon erasing and most recently the shortsightedness corporate view that almost has finished in Mane6 demise, I'm having a big trouble enjoying the show (even ignoring the now even more dumb and social awkward fandom, as if it was even possible.)

I'm not native (Mexican btw, if you didn't know already) and although I wouldn't like to lose ALL my accent, I'd like to sound nice and intelligible whenever I speak English. Writing is no problem. Except for some spelling, vocabulary and grammar errors, but I consider myself average.

For my class I'm required to do some recordings, so the teacher can evaluate and give me some pointers, mark errors and document any advance. Stupid Telmex people delayed a week in giving us phone line and internet back. It would had been indefinite if we didn't complain and threatened to fill a report to the PROFECO. This is the worse service ever. Not only it is slow, it is expensive! 1Mbps down / 12Kbps up DSL for a little more than $28 USD?! That's a scam... -__-
Oh well. In better news, I really like my new place. Once it's cleaner I ought to take it a picture! You know, before I make it a mess again XD
