TERMS OF SERVICE
Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
We reserve the right to modify terms, conditions, and notices at any time. By placing a commission or purchasing a premade, you indicate that you agree to be bound by these terms.
NOTE:
GLS is a beginner. We do not have a lot of experience, but we understand good craftsmanship and are constantly improving. There may be small cosmetic flaws, but all will be acknowledged and fixed to the best ability before being mailed. We may make mistakes and not realize it. Please feel free to reach out to let us know, or ask for a repair. GLS is looking to learn and grow and become a great fursuit maker. Please help us achieve that. We will do our best.
AGE
All customers must be at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, we are required to work with your parent or legal guardian. By placing a commission or purchasing a fursuit for sale, you agree that you are at least 18 years of age or older, or are 16+ and have the explicit permission of a parent or guardian.
COMMUNICATION:
Please only use correct grammar and punctuation during communication so there is no room for misunderstanding. I cannot gauge how much you like a work in progress photo through most grammar though either, feel free to add exclamation points!!! Emojis! Express yourself, but please no single word answers or fragmented sentences!
SHIPPING
Shipping is an additional charge, the commissioner pays for shipping. We ship default with USPS. Once it is mailed and the suit or parts is out of our hands, we do not control it and are not responsible if it is lost. If such a thing occurs, we cannot refund, but we can possibly try and work something out. This is extremely unlikely, probably a one in a million chance a fursuit would get lost in the mail, and it is a big financial hit to both buyer and maker, we will try to work something out. This is on a case by case scenario, that will most likely never happen!
CUSTOM COMMISSION INFORMATION
CUSTOM REFERENCES
GLS requires a clear concept art for a quote for a custom commission. If art is inaccurate, or there is simply no good visual reference, GLS will happily work with you to draw up a nice, clean reference for a small charge. The final product will be made based on the look of the concept art. Small differences may be present as the final size and shape of the costume will most likely be slightly differently shaped than the concept art. GLS is not responsible for including anything that is not present on the agreed-upon concept art.
QUOTES
You may message any GLS social media account for a quote, but our preferred platforms are Instagram and Telegram.
Custom price quotes are good for 30 days and are subject to change after 30 days.
CUSTOM COMMISSION PAYMENTS
Golden Lion Studios requires a 40% non-refundable down payment to guarantee a custom commission. Further payments will be on a schedule agreed upon by maker and commissioner. Final payments must be received before the suit is mailed. Commissions paid in full will usually get priority over commissions on payment plans. Late payment will result in a later completion date or a cancelled commission if issues arise. If an issue arises where the commissioner must back out and the suit is partially completed, we will change the design accordingly and resell the suit. A refund cannot be given until another buyer is found. We only accept PayPal. All commissions are subject to the 40% nonrefundable deposit, including payments made in full.
WORK-IN-PROGRESS PHOTOS
GLS works very hard to provide fluent communication and frequent WIP photos. If you see anything you’d like changed in the early stages, please feel free to point it out! Don’t be afraid of nitpicking, this is your fursuit and GLS wants to do its very best to make you happy.
AFTER YOUR SUIT HAS ARRIVED…
WARRANTY
All work is guaranteed for 30 days, beginning upon the date the item is received. Any alterations void the warranty. Most damages are simply fixed by a simple stitch or a few drops of hot glue, if the owner is unable to fix themselves, GLS will be happy to fix them if shipping is paid for. After 30 days, any fixes will include a small fee depending on how much work must be done.
PICTURES/SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE
We will take many pictures and videos of your suit on our models before it is cleaned and mailed. Those pictures are ours to use for advertising and showing off our craftsmanship and examples of the fursuits we can make.
Please feel free to upload any pictures you’d like of you and your fursuit. It’s your property now! Please just credit your maker(s) appropriately now and then! If you ever see GLS at a convention, please say hello!
PREMADE PURCHASING INFORMATION
BUYING AN ALREADY MADE FURSUIT
So you’ve decided to buy a premade fursuit, what comes next?
The fursuit sizing is usually made to fit our models or larger. You are responsible for sizing yourself accurately to see if it will fit you. We are not responsible for returns or exchanges if it does not fit you.
We currently do not accept payment plans for premades that have been finished and are ready to mail. Payment must be received as soon as the suit has been ‘claimed’.
No refunds or returns. If you have financial problems, no longer want the suit, or dislike it for some reason and do not want it, you must resell yourself. GLS will help you resell it, but we will not offer refunds on our end. We will do our utmost to signal boost your sale.
BEFORE A PREMADE HAS BEEN COMPLETED
We like to take pictures and post concept art of premade fursuits that haven’t been completed yet and offer them for presale! Before the suit has been started, the option is given to interested buyers to buy the suit so it is 100% theirs.
Before the suit has been started, a payment plan may be established and the suit will be completed accordingly to that. Small adjustments are able to be made for free, larger adjustments to the design will include a fee.
The payment plan will be the same rules as payment plans for custom commissions, please see that section above.
If the buyer must back out, again, we do not refund. Another buyer must be located first to supply the refund money to the first buyer. We will do all we can to help.
If a fursuit premade is at least halfway finished, payment plans cannot be made for it, and it must be paid in full. Same rules as if it were already completed.

TERMS OF SERVICE FOR ART

By commissioning me, you have consented to all of the following below!
Full payment must be received before any art has been started.
I will usually work in the order I receive commissions, first come first serve. However, I may mix things up for the following reasons below:
I can do rush fees. For smaller, faster-to-do pieces, this may sometimes be free. For bigger pieces, I require a small fee we will both agree on in order to put yours at the top of my queue.
I may also jump around in the queue. For example, if your piece has complicated shading, several characters, and an advanced background, I may take small breaks from it to work on other commissions that I can finish in a much shorter time. This is just to relax myself and not go insane by working on one piece for 5 hours straight! Don’t worry, I will finish it in time!
Please give me 2 months to finish your commission. Unless there is a convention, school-related activity, me being sick, or terrible tragedy that has happened, I can usually finish it in a much shorter time. Just, at the very most, give me 2 months max.
You are welcome to ask what place you are in the queue! I can almost always give estimated time of completion if you choose! You do not need to ask for updates, I always send an approval sketch, then lines, coloring, shading, and background checks to make sure you are 100% happy with it!
You are paying me to do a service for you, so please feel free to be picky in the sketching stages! Make an ear bigger, change the pose, above all, I want you to be happy with it! If you want a BIG change after I’ve lined it though, I may ask for a fee since you’re going back on something you already approved.
I don’t do refunds, I’m sorry. I’ll always be able to complete a piece no matter what. By commissioning me and paying me, I trust that you have 100% decided you want something from me.
If something terrible has come up and you need all the money you can get and I’ve barely started on it, we can work something out. But please, don’t commission me and then ask for a refund simply because you decided you don’t want it anymore. You’re very welcome to change it in the sketch stage or before I’ve started, but you are subject to price changes!
