-HELL YEAH! I prefer using Ryu, but I've been learning Karin from Alpha. I can also use a small collection of other characters as well.


5) Do you think Capcom is a FUCKING awesome company with kickass character designs?
-Capcom is probably the BEST game-making company around at the moment. They make games for the fans and never sell them short. They find a winning combination and don't fuck it up.

6) Here's the scenario.. You had some friends over and you all ate FRIED CHICKEN! After the meal you all decide to play some video games. As your friend reaches for a controller you notice his/her hands are very "greasy." Are you the type that would insist they wash their hands before pawing the controller, or is it no big deal?
-I'd have them clean the grease from their hands... seriously... I keep my stuff in good condition.


7) What's your favorite RPG/Action RPG? I will allow a second and third fave if you insist.
-Super Mario RPG & Chrono Trigger. If you want MMO, it's Maple Story.

-It's all good, though I've always had a soft spot for 2D platformers =p

-SNK is okay... Metal Slug is awesome, though!

-One funny scene, Raul Julia's performance was hillariously over-the-top... but otherwise, a complete travesty and I would love to get in the "beat up the writers/directors line".

Again, I don't do drugs. I don't see any seriously detrimental effects TO using pot, so I don't see why it's not legal. Maybe it's because the government doesn't get any money from it.

I believe there's probably SOMETHING out there... but by saying it's entity and naming it seems to be a bit pretentious. There's multiple religions, each with their own view on "who's pulling the strings" as it were... but only a few believe it's one in particular... and those religions were not the first either. So, yeah... there's probably some creating/controlling entity out there, sure... but let's be fair about what we refer to it as.

Why not? As I heard somewhere "Let 'em suffer like the rest of us". It's not like the world will end because of it.

Again, specifying the US as the right or wrong is pretentious... safe to say we know who made this survey...

...but to generalize it, no, I do not think that illegal immigrates are doing the right thing at all, whether Hispanic or otherwise. There are proper channels in which people can do things... it's not "you're Mexican - get out". Many countries are very open to diversity, but entering illegally is just ridiculous. Apply for citizenship. Only if there is no other choice (IE: Emergency escape from the country you're from), should you "hop the fence", so to speak... but it's not likely to happen.

[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?

I think that she's responsible for her own actions... she fucked up (literally in this case), she's stuck with the consequences.

I think it's fine where it is... but then again, isn't 18 legal in Canada anyways? This sounds like another America-exclusive question... anyways, many people ignore the legal age anyways... so where does it really matter? XD

I think it's pointless... the job is done (whatever that is), so bring 'em home.

I think that euthenasia should be allowed, but only under proper consent from the person and the family of that person... and only if the situation is dire enough. No point in assisting someone's death if they lost the lottery XP

Yes. VERY yes. Children these days simply seem to be running the household and getting whatever they want. If they can't behave properly and other punishments don't seem to work, smack 'em in the arse.

1. Ryan SilverFox... the name was created from three elements. The first was based on my favourite colour and animal. The first name was created on DA/FA when I went to make my account... so I used my real first name (why not when it represents me?)

2. RSF has 3 digits on each hand and foot. Many people miss this especially on the hands, so I always need to point it out on ref sheets. For hands, he has 2 fingers and 1 thumb (basicly, try to move your hands like there's rubber bands tying your index & middle and ring & pinky fingers). For feet, the toe in the middle sticks out a bit further than the ones on the outside/inside of the foot. This design was mainly supposed to be an evolution of paws to hands/feet... though I based it off of a cartoon paw =p

3. In the world Ryan SilverFox comes from, over half the planet suddenly and randomly became part animal humans, practicly overnight. Because of this event, there are many anthro people in the world co-existing with the full humans (though, like with many other issus with race/religion/etc, there is a lot of fear and prejudice) Ryan was one of the first anthro children born from unchanged human parents.

4. After his high school years, RSF went to a special academy. In reality, it was a cover for a genetics research facility, where selected students were taken and geneticly altered to be used as special ops units that utilized their anthro forms as basis for special skills. Ryan was "adjusted" with enhancements to his legs, balance and cardiovascular systems so he could be used as a tactical pursuit unit, capable at running at high speeds for prolonged time, even within dense jungle or urban areas.

5. Ryan and his best friend (who also altered at the facility) staged a breakout of the lab. Over 200 of the "subjects" who had been or were scheduled to be exparimented on all escaped secretly under the cover of Ryan's high-attention breakout. All "subjects" that escaped are considered fugitives by the facility (not by law... the group behind the facility work against any public knowledge) are considered fugitives. Ryan is their top priority, however... as he stole the key to a powerful weapon during his escape. Luckily, all the fugitives have eluded the organization's watch and have integrated back into normal life.

6. Ryan has a roomate - a lizard girl by the name of Tira. Ryan serves as her personal guardian while she lives with him. H eas charged with her protection by her family, who live in Africa.

7. Tira is part of a tribe of people who have managed to remain hidden from civilization. The tribe's village is hidden from the world - only a very small number of outsiders know it's true location. Through a freak accident when he was a kid, Ryan taken in by this tribe to assist him. During this time, he earned his place as an official member of the tribe by saving the life of Tira's father, who is something of a leader figure in the tribe. Tira was not very old when she befriended Ryan, but she's always been fond of him.

8. Ryan has never told anyone about the secretive aspects of his past to anyone (other than his friend "Hawk" about the facility and Tira about her tribe). None of his friends know about the origins of his incredible abilities, nor the location of Tira's villiage.

For a little while now, I've been wondering about the idea of getting a PayPal account and possibly even starting to take commission offers. It'd be a kind of cool way to do some stuff for some people, get my name out there and maybe make a couple bucks while I do.

The only thing is that I don't think I'm really that well-known or heck, even talented enough to do any of this.

If you noticed, I uploaded a chunk of new pieces to FA. I had them all on my DA account, uploaded there since AC 2008 ended and I decided to finally upload them here.

Hey all!

Well, tomorrow's my birthday... as of Aug 12th, I'll be 26. Is it a big deal? Honestly, not really... I like getting a bit of attention (who doesn't?), but it's just another day.

But I am going to work on a little something to celebrate the "big day".

*whew* what a time!

The trip there on Thursday wasn't too bad - I navigated and, save for a breakfast stop and a bathroom break on the way, we made great time. The car consisted of myself,  Derranged and  Sierra who did the wheel-work whilst I led the way.

We arrived at the Westin about 30 minutes to an hour earlier than the rest of our merry crew, which consisted of  Androo,  Bowrll,  Krowy and Krowy's friend Kitty (don't have her FA link).

Meeting Krowy in person for the first time was the biggest highlight of the trip without a doubt. I was pretty charmed, I guess you could say and took to her fairly quickly. Looking back on the whole trip, I think I ended up pulling off a "lost little puppy" routine - following her around most of the time... kinna feel a bit guilty for that =p

Derr, Sier and I made one very irritating mistake - we didn't pre-register. Their excuse was that they didn't have a credit card... mine, well... it's a common thing that happens to me - nobody tells me anything! By the time I found out I could pre-register, it was closed. So, we waited in an exhausting, very irritating line. All but Bowrll waited with us (she went off to mingle... no problem), though it was safe to say they too were very tired. While we waited for registration, Droo was waiting for something else - our hotel room. We got two neighbouring rooms, but on Thursday, we were only getting one room... but the occupant was taking longer than expected. Eventually, we did get the room up in 612 and got 4-5 room keys. As we did, I insisted that Krowy, Droo and Kitty go up and rest and that we'd be up when we were registered. Once we registered, we went up, relaxed a little, then got our luggage from the car.

Ah... before registration, a bit of a funny story... we went for lunch at the pizza place in the hotel. While there, Krowy, Derr and I mentioned that we all had to find  Seely at some point, claiming that it would probably be pretty tricky. A few minutes later, I saw a group of people walking by and two things caught my eye... a tell-tale red jersey belonging to the infamous  Skifi and the blue-haired individual within the crowd next to him. Go figure... it was Seel. I leaned over to Derr and whispered "Hey... isn't that...?" she looked around, saw her and just squealed "SEEL!", making her jump and spin around. We all shook hands and I met Seel and the Skiff-meister... as well as  AyCee and I gave Seel the badge I made her.

The first night was a bit of a pain - 7 people, 2 queen-sized beds. Bowrill was going to sleep in our room that night, then go to the next-door room for the remainder of the weekend when it opened... but for that night, it was pretty crowded. When it comes down to it, though, I'm a bit of a gentleman - I took, what I can only consider the most awkward bedding decision overall - 2 chairs and a pillow. Droo and Sier took one bed, Derr and Krowy the other. Kitty took a sleeping bag Droo brought and Bow made a bed from some pillows and one of the thick comforters. Believe it or not, I slept well enough... maybe because I only had 3 hours of sleep before we left. =p

Friday - we scoured the dealer's room. On that day, I did two major accomplishments. The first, I saw a replica weapons stand and in a moment of pure stupidity and impulse, I bought a replica Master Sword for fifty bucks. After taking that back to the hotel room (because it was annoying to carry around after a while), I grabbed my sketchbook and went back to all the tables of people I recognized and had the upmost respect for for an autograph. Before doing so, I put at the top of the signature page a header:

I added a note encouraging doodles if people wanted. Boy, did I get a list of people! I'll write it down at the bottom of the journal. This was, pretty much the main part of that day... other than Krowy getting a big, 3-limbed hug by Capt. Jack Sparrow (or at least a stunning likeness... lol). If you're wondering... two arms and one leg.

Saturday, Derr, Krowy, Kitty and myself decided to try to get a table at the artist alley. Our odds were phenomenal and I was 39th chosen. Krowy was chosen shortly after, so we went together to scout out space enough for the four of us. Luckily, we all got in... but Kitty changed her mind early on and left. We weren't really prepared, however... but tried pretty hard. Derr originally undersold herself by a great deal, but changed her prices later. Both her and Krowy got a lot of comissions... so much so that Derr had to sadly turn down drawing something in a book given to her by Uncle Kage himself. The two of them made over $100 that day, but really overworked themselves. I, on the other hand, got pretty depressed at my little spot of isolation. I sat most of the time like a puppy in a pet store window, only to watch as people completely ignored me. I watch people go down the line of tables, looking at all of the artwork of the artists to my left, then, without taking so much as a first glance at me or the art in front of me, went straight on to Derr's spot, then Krowy's and everyone beyond. It seriously looked like most people looked at every other artist on that row but me. I did, however, make $20 selling "Skribblez", which were little more than $5 sharpie sketches on a half-sized notebook page of lined paper. Both Krowy and Derr, as well as a couple other people catching me talking about my 'despair' wanted to also buy a Skribblez, but to me, it felt like more of a pity thing than anything else. I made one for Krowy for free and told Derr and the others that I'd be fine. Derr mostly figured I was thinking my art sucked too much. While that was a part of it, my main problem was that I felt nonexistant... and for some parts, pretty lonely. In the end, for our various reasons, we decided not to do another artist alley sales run this year and come back next year more prepared.

Sunday was a hectic shopping spree. We went to the dealer's tables one more time, where I picked up J.Axer's finale portfolio. It was a bit of bad news to hear that he was taking a break from going to AC, but I understood his reasons. After that, we left for a couple hours to hit some stores we normally can't go to in Canada. We found a Hot Topic, where Krowy and Sierra bought new Tripp pants, another shop in which I got a NES controller belt buckle and a Ryu collectible figure for my friend. After that, we went to the only establishment I wanted to go to in the US - IHOP. Yep... pancakes. I've never found a stack of flapjacks that could top the ones my dad would make us every few months when we begged... and IHOP was a very damn good contender! Can't say yet if IHOP took the title... but don't tell my dad =p

Today, we took ANOTHER trip to IHOP for our last breakfast - Krowy and Kitty had to go to the airport and we had to drive home around the same time, so we decided this was the best way to round off our AC experience. After the breakfast, gave each other goodbye hugs/handshakes, took a few pictures and with heavy hearts, went our separate ways.

The trip home was pretty much uneventful... until we hit the Niagra area... then we got a bit lost. We took one wrong turn, made a U-turn, missed another turn, did an illegal U-turn, then got to the bridge and finally, customs. Now, remember when I said it was a bit stupid to buy that Master Sword replica? Well... this was the tense moment of truth. We had packed it in the bottom of the trunk and hoped they wouldn't mention anything like "do you have any weapons?" or something to that matter. Go figure... they asked about tobacco and alcohol, as well as if we had more than $400 in US-bought stuff to declare, then let us on our merry way. Instead of taking a break, we drove the 6 hour trip from Pittsburg home in one go.

So, now I'm back and relaxing before passing out completely. I've caught up what I've missed not being on the computer for the 5 or so days and already unpacked. So, tomorrow will just be another day...

...but the memories and bonds we made will be with me for a long time. Yeah, corny, I know... but I don't freakin' care! lol

Alright... Derr, Sier and myself are pretty much out of here a week from tomorrow on our epic journey from Canada to AC and to see all our pals that live down in the US. I guess the only thing I can say about the journey is... ROAD TRIP!

However, I've been procrastinating a bit on final preparations. Though I've kicked it into high-gear a little, I still have to do the following:

1) Put the con badges together properly.
2) Get the badged printed out properly (taking them to a print shop to be printed double-sided on special paper)
3) Make CDs for the road trip (I decided that, since the trip will be about 6 hours, if each of us make 2 CDs, it'll be pretty good for the trip).
4) Print out the map info for the trip (first time going, could get lost =p)
5) Pack my gear (clothes, swimwear, drawing stuff, my Wii/games/controller and anything else I may want to bring)
6) Take our cash to be exchanged to US currency.

I'll also have to work on my professional portfolio so I can get a -REAL- job when I get back... but that has been moved back on the list for now.

...try my day so far... in just 4 hours, everything went to hell in a handbasket.

At 9am, I woke up to get ready for work. I had just started this job on Friday, so this would have been my third shift (since I had Sunday and Monday off). I was a bit tired, since I went to be later than I should have (and had poor night's sleep for a few days now), but that wasn't too bad. So, I walked over to my job, only to find out two things.
1) I should have been there at 9, not 10 (I thought I was supposed to be there at 10)
2) I was fired.

Go figure.

So, when I got home, I printed out some more resumes (turns out, I had to fix them) and go look for a new job. My mum was going out, so I decided to hitch a ride with her and go toss resumes out on the other side of town. We were driving down the road for a few minutes, when all of a sudden...

Some idiot driver (inexperienced, teenaged girl... go figure) never saw us coming, as she backed out of her boyfriend's driveway. Fortunately, she didn't back out sooner or we would have hit her. Instead, she slammed into the side of our van (pretty much where I was sitting, in fact!), damaged the hubcap (and possibly the alignment) of the front, right wheel, then dent/scratched up about 3/4 of that side of the van. Fortunately, our van didn't have any more damage than that and it was still drivable. Also, nobody was hurt. UNfortunately for the girl, her rear bumper was trashed. So, we had to wait for the police, exchange insurance, blah blah blah... then I went home without doing the job hunt.

So, I'm out of a job, got to experience my first ever vehicular collision and sit around with my thumb up my ass and go home... in the process of about 3-4 hours.

So, for the time being, screw all this... I'm going back to bed.

Well, yeah, this may come as a bit of a suprise to you, since yesterday was my last day of work and I didn't announce it to anyone... but yes, I'm currently out of a job.

Why, you ask? Well, heck! I'll tell you!

The Mac's I've been working at (convenience store, if you didn't know) is a little place that a friend of mine became the manager of and got me a job in. He joined the Canadian Forces (only to come back about 4 months later), but I stayed on as a low-level grunt employee (because I hate doing paperwork).

Well, it started with one employee taking over as manager, only to "screw the pooch" five ways from sunday, making it look like our store lost over $4,000... though the issue was cleared up, the higher ups still deemed our smaller store was just not making enough money and decided to close us down.

Today, April 20th, is the last day the store is open... though I don't have the last shift. So, my role as a clerk is through.

Sounds depressing, doesn't it?

In a way it is, but in a way it's not.

I've been a customer service rep for a loooong time... a cashier at a grocery store, a clerk at a 7-11 (which I happily quit to work at Mac's) and Mac's. I think that, by putting up with so many people day after day, I think I've become very callous to the general population. It's come to my attention that my views on most of the people who seem to go shopping have changed from "normal people who kind of annoy me from time to time" to "borderline retarded".

Allow me to give an example.

One thing I don't like doing is answering questions... at least to people I don't know. And, because much of our stock at Mac's was disappearing, I would pretty much have the same converation with everyone who walked through the door:
<Customer>Why is the store so empty?
<Me> We're closing.
<Customer> Are you moving somewhere?
<Me> No, we're closing.
<Customer> Why are you closing?
<Me> Not enough sales.
<Customer> What's this store going to become?
<Me> I don't know.
<Customer> When are you closing?
<Me> X number of days/April 20th.
<Customer> Are there any sales?
<Me> No. Everything is being given to other Mac's stores.
<Customer> So you won't give me anything for cheap?
<Me> No.
<Customer> So, you're gonna be out of a job?
<Me> I'll be fine.

Anyways, since I had to literally repeat this conversation to EVERY. SINGLE. MORON. that walked through the door (often in that exact order), I typed up a pretty little message. It first had a giant, bolded "ATTENTION CUSTOMERS" at the top, then explained that we were closing April 20th, and pretty much answered most of the questions. Then I took that sign and put it just around chin level on me (so almost everyone walking in would see it), all in the hopes of not having to recite the annoying conversation listed above.

Well, as I should have guessed, about 15% of the people that came into the store actually READ it. The remaining 85% walked right past it, looked around and... the conversation began all over again.

I think if I made a glowing neon sign, people still would be too stupid to actually notice it.

Anyways, I'm a bit bummed out that I don't have a job anymore... but I'm glad I don't have to deal with any customers for a little while.

Yep! I've recently been at my lovely Derr's place for the past few days (as I often do <3) and when I came home, my computer was back where it belongs.

Right now, I don't know the extent of the damage or how much I'll be giving my dad as my share of the repair fee... but I'm happy to know that what I left on the computer (programs, bookmarks, etc.) is still there. I'm guessing that, whatever was wrong, did not have to warrant a re-format. That's good, because otherwise, I'd need Derr's install disk to get Photoshop back and work on pics... *cough*

I'm writing this from a computer not my own. Now, I've had the off-and-on problems with my computer... error messages popping up over and over like a kid in a convenience store wanting to know "how much is this?" (something else I can't stand)... but now, I have to completely shut it off.

Why is that, you ask?

Well, today, I recieved the mysterious message from my vile contraption that I had no free disk space. I thought this was particularily odd, since I have a huge ammount of disk space (around 280 gigs of it in fact). So I check and sure enough, my entire 280+ gig drive was full! This was a mystery to me, since the contents of my part of the computer add up to less than 3 gigs and my dad n sis haven't even put half of that on their accounts.

After asking some friends about this issue and deleting some files to keep from having the computer explode, Sierra told me that I probably have a virus and to shut off the machine, lest I want my hard drive to go boom and take it in ASAP.

Well, I have no clue when ASAP will be... so I'm going to have to leave it shut off, except for the 5 minutes I'll take to back up my more important files to prevent an internal meltdown.

So... for a few days, I'm going to be completely gone from the land of "teh internets".

Last night, for the first time, I played Rock Band.

Though the guitar is not nearly as difficult as Guitar Hero 3, I really enjoyed it. I also was able to try the drums (not too bad) and, I guess more importantly, I was given the mic to sing.

It seems that I'm not only a not-too-shabby singer, but I always seem to surprise my friends...

...well, assuming I know the song =p

I first started playing the guitar on two different songs while one of my friends sang (it was his birthday =p). I found that I could trick up the difficulty higher than Guitar Hero games. For the third song, we chose Enter the Sandman (Metallica), where, for the first time, I took the mic...

...and blew everyone away, apparently =p

After singing the first verse and chorus, I heard the following from the couch behind me:

"Okay, man... you scare me"

A little bit later, I also sung for Paranoid (Black Sabbath). Once again, I gave my friends quite the show.

After that, I tried the drums... not too hard, but I'm not used to them at all =p

Finally, I attempted to sing Highway Star (Deep Purple). I kinna stunk at it, since I didn't know the tune off-hand.


Before getting to play and for our friend's birthday, we all went to see The Golden Compass. Kinna funny for 7 people from 17-25 going to see a family movie, but you know what? It was pretty good! Also, there was a semi-gory scene in it where one bear literally smacks the bottom jaw off of another bear. Me and another friend were definately shocked to see that... but at the same time, it was pretty cool, given the circumstances.

All in all, last night was pretty cool. We may be hooking up Rock Band for New Year's Eve... so I better prepare my singin' voice - there's a lot of songs I know.
