Idea for my very own Art Jam/Art Meme

Me and two other ladies on FA (to which I will not mention names... you know who you are ;p) after dinner today went into a sex shop (next door to the restaurant). Inside, we looked at a lot of stuff (bleh... not too interested). Afterwards, the girls and I talked a little about lingeré. So, I asked them "If you had lingeré, what would it look like?" After a bit of thought, I suggested that they both drew it out.
Then it hit me.
I should make this a formal invitation to people I (and others) know here on FA. After all, adult work is allowed (depending on how adult these sexy undies are gonna look).
So, here it is, people... for this little jam (maybe an art meme), all you gotta do is draw your character in the ideal lingeré or underwear (if you're a guy) that you might wear on a night of romance.
Well, that's the idea anyways. There's no due date (maybe later)... probably because I procrastinate alot and have school.
If you want, spread the word around to your friends. I guess what I may do later is to make a journal with all the people who enter the jam (that I know of)... so anyone that enters (if I don't watch them), please send me a note, linking the page.
Anyways, have fun, everyone!

So, my girlfriend, the ever-so-awesome Derr, is having a birthday... tomorrow! I'd made a picture for this momentous occasion, but my damn scanner won't connect to the computer. It's a Dell all-in-one piece of crap... it copies and prints fine... but when it needs to work with the computer... X/
Today, I was supposed to be at work... but I got a little food poisoning (nothing serious), so I've been taking some time out of my recouperation to get this thing working.
We finally found the install disk, so I'm gonna try that. With luck, I'll be able to scan the pic and finish it before Derr's b-day ends.
Then maybe I'll do some more colourings when I get that done.

All I knew of was bomb threats in Toronoto bus and subway stations, so I called home, cuz my dad works at the TTC (Toronto Transit Company) as a bus driver and he was at work too. I normally don't do this kinna thing, but today, well... I need to let my feelings out somewhere.
Today was hell for me. The day before, I had made plans with my girlfriend and friend to hang out and do a big gaming spree tomorrow. When I went into work today, I was disappointed to find out that, because of scheduling errors, I now had to work Thursday - the same day I was going to see my girlfriend and friend.
Thursday is the only day (apart from possibly Sunday) where we all have the day off (well, had).
The scheduling error was that the manager forgot to write a shift for the afternoon. He's working in the morning, so he needed someone for the afternoon. One person is just not capable of working on his own (he's very close to being fired, since he just can't seem to get it in gear) and the only other person who could work it left town today and won't be around tomorrow.
That only leaves me.
I should add that my boss is one of my oldest friends, who just so happened to get the manager's position at where I work and got me the job.
I tried to see if I could weasel out of it in any way, but like with the Borg, resistence was futile.
So, disappointed and frustrated at the boss, I call up my girlfriend to break to her the bad news. Sufficed to say, she was disappointed too, though not as much as I. Now, our friend, the 3rd of the Thursday party is staying at my girlfriend's house for a little and is currently at work. We both know she will not like this. So, I have to get back to customers while my girlfriend relays the message.
A few hours of working, I decide to call my girlfriend back to see if we could work out hanging out for a while after me and our friend get off of work. My girlfriend didn't ask and was a bit depressed and tired. She had nothing to do that day and just decided to lay about, which normally seems to make her lonely and, like I said, depressed. Not to mention that our friend wasn't just disappointed, she was mad... but here's the kicker - she was mad at me!
When I asked why, my girlfriend said it was because I didn't stand up for myself and make my boss (and friend) work a double, because it was his mistake the schedule was screwed up.
Well, this was just bullshit to me, which is what I responded with. My girlfriend said that she wasn't taking sides (though I know she felt similarly... but not with me). I said I'd call later.
A little while later, after fighting customer waves to even get a chance to eat, I did manage to call back. Now, my girlfriend was much more depressed, having been bored, lonely and in the middle of a "fight". Also, there was an issue with one of her friends online that didn't help. I tried to console her, but it was hard to understand her. Also, customer (dickheads) kept coming in. After a bit, we agreed that at about 10pm, I'd call back and talk to our friend about tonight (since she'd be home by then).
After I got off the phone, I called my friend/boss back and tried once more to weasel out of my shift. Once again, I got an apologetic no.
Well, she was home when I did call... however, the issue of "so, wanna hang out tonight?" kept being pushed over to "You shouldn't be working tomorrow." Now, it was obvious that my girlfriend had taken my friend's side and both of them were hammering me.
Them:
"He fucked up, you shouldn't have to pay for it."
"He fucked up, WE shouldn't have to pay for it."
"This is why I don't work with my friends."
"Why don't you stick up for yourself?"
"We had plans and he fucked them up."
"You have a choice, Ryan. You don't have to go in tomorrow."
"He needs to get more employees."
"He won't fire you, he's your friend."
Me:
"I don't have a choice."
"Nobody else can do it. Everyone else is busy."
"I'm sorry, but I'm stuck."
"Even if he wasn't my friend, I would still have to go in."
"It's my responsibility... I have a job."
"I can't always get what I want."
"He might not have a choice. His bosses can make him fire me."
I said that we still had the weekend (at least Sunday), but they said that "he'll just fuck it up again" and basicly told me that they didn't want to see me. So, after all of this, I just hung up.
I call my mum to tell her that she'll have to come get me and explained the gist of what happened. She told me that the girls were being unreasonable. Honestly, thinking about it, I'm not sure. Obviously, I haven't been active in like... forever... but there's been alot going on with me over the past few months:
-School (1st semester of 3rd year Multimedia is the most labour-intensive semester...)
-Work (I... must... kill... them... 1 shift a week = murder)
-Driving (I've put it off for various reasons. I need to get that licence!)
-Friends (They eat up any other spare time I have)
Anyhow, there's one more thing that has, quite literaly, slown me completely down... my ankle.
A week ago today (almost EXACTLY 1 week), I was quite literally rushing to finish an assignment for one of my instructors. Instead of him conducting the class it was due in, he stayed in his office halfway across the college from where the class was. It was due around 11 and most people scrambled to finish it. Well, when I heard he was packing up to go home, I pulled my stuff together and booked it down the hall to get to his class.
I probably should have said "Feet, don't fail me now."... because they did.
I tripped about 50 feet from the classroom and did a nasty job on my ankle. I'm not sure how I tripped... either over my own feet, slipped or my ankle just did a 90 degree bend. Either way, it hurt. bad. I hobbled back to the class and managed to get my assignment over via someone else who was also on their way out. One of my classmates, who's been quite the life saver this past semester, also took off to get the nurse. Well... security anyways. They called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. Now... they didn't need to, but the paramedics brought a stretcher.
Anyways, to my luck, it was only sprained... though it was pretty badly sprained. I could not put any pressure on it AT ALL. There was a nasty swell just above my right ankle almost the size of my fist.
Yeah, it still hurts, even now. I can walk on it, but it can still be annoying. So, I'm a bit crippled.
Some other things have been going on, but at least I now have some spare time with class being out for the year. I have some pictures in the works, so maybe I'll be able to get one finished.

Anyways, as usual, I just haven't uploaded. I want to, but there's a problem... I'm getting pounded half to death by assignments. I found out that if I do not get caught up in one course (and I mean THIS WEEK), I'm going to fail the first semester of my final year.
And I have a lot to do to even attempt to catch up.
So earlier today, I felt completely bummed out.
So, sitting down to work on another major assignment, I put on my iTunes, as normal. That song is first in my list and it's just what I needed to put re-awaken the fighter within me, to remember the 'way of the fighter':
"A fighter never surrenders. Even in the darkest hour, we fight until our final breath."
I managed to almost entirely blow through the largest obsticle slowing me down. There's still a mob of smaller things, but I can shoot 'em down. All of this is building up to the collossal battle I will have catching up the class from hell on crack.
I have a picture I want to have up by Hallowe'en, but it looks like the picture will be a casualty of war.
