Bleh madness
Posted 10 years agoWow.. 34, two kits , one boy one girl.. heh life has been good :)
We.. my company.. yes.. my company of which I own 40% is in the process of providing fibre internet. I evolved from just being able to wrap my head around code.. to dealing with cisco, mikrotik and various flavours of linux and unix.. Landing multi-million dollar projects is just on the horizon .. I have been so busy .. that on average I've been up till 1-3am every night of the week..

Secondlife Mesh Facial Animation ...
Posted 12 years agoHad a look at KenniFox's youtube posts and attempted to figure out exactly how it was possible to animate the 'attachment point joints' such as Mouth, Nose, Skull and so on.. Very little information exists regarding these joints and how to include them... The past week I experimented with a few imports into Secondlife with some mixed results.
I think where I went wrong initially was the XYZ position of the new joints that i parented to the existing rig. I should've zeroed out all values and included end effectors. Oh well... back to re-rigging and weight painting :)
Also.. If i get this working... then I will require the aid of a scripter , so if you're keen, drop me an emaul on postalfoxtodd at gmail.com

'BUSINESS-RELATED' A proposal/request/commission- Cartoon
Posted 13 years agoHi there 2D animators!
How do you feel about doing a paid commission for a new computer company/manufacturer?
Its tech related .. and requires a female cartoon foxy character in a geeky/nerdy outfit to entertain, provide information/mock in a way that is funny and 'catchy'
If you are interested,
please contact me directly on either postalfoxtodd[at]gmail.com or foxworks3d[at]gmail.com
Kind Regards
Ryan

New Models?
Posted 14 years agoIts taken a while to figure out the kinks in SecondLife... Might end up creating
mesh-based avatars sooner than I thought.
In the meantime I've decided to redesign some of my existing characters.. For example:
I wasn't too happy with the Sabrina model. Her 'curves' were not exactly spot on.. The
style was too 'conservative' and in comparison to ZigZag, just didn't cut it.
Expect some 'interesting' updates soon.

I was able to get my brain to complete the last project i was working on.....
[14:25] Ryan Frederick Fox: So, I'm hoping that this will happen again. I even managed to get a good portion done.... oh well...
[14:25] Ryan Frederick Fox: see what happens when you mix caffeine and alcohol
[14:26] Ryan Frederick Fox: gives up and continues to doodle boobs on a toaster

Sabrina Online Project
Posted 14 years agoRight, took me long enough! XD. Here she is in all 3D goodness.
As close as I can get to the original 2D comic strip character..
So now that I figured out all the gubbins and what not the others will be easy.
You have no idea how many times this project almost bit the dust, due
to software limitations and my poor mel scripting lol.
But, I got it right.. and this will serve as a basis slash work-flow
for the others such as ZigZag, Sheila Vixen etc ;)
The problem now is getting enough content ready for the first animation.
So far I'm pretty happy with the way the mesh deforms, might have to
add a few jiggle and bounce deformers -insert evil smirkation here-
Um.. those will prove err especially useful on 'some' of the others. >=)
In the meantime its down to modeling every-day items..
such as Amiga desktop PCs, furniture,architecture... fun.

Fox version three point O'
Posted 14 years agoSo.. The other day someone asked me what it feels like to hit the big three O'...
Slightly taken aback by the question and without keeping my vernacular in check,
I responded:
'What?!? Did the few gray hairs make it THAT obvious? Because if they're
a bother, I'll dye the little ****ers.'
Aaaand so I did! Now to keep an eye out for any more that might surface... Growlph!

Well... A light drizzle and mother nature fecks everything up. Not to mention that the movers were a bunch of morons!
Gawd I had to supervise, watch them like a friggin hawk, especially when they moved all the Sgi gear
. THANKFULLY nothing was damaged, except my nerves.

Posted 15 years agoYesss! I'm no longer renting from anyone! Its been a year and construction on our new home is finally complete. So.. I'll be on a temporary hiatus during the move. However this doesn't mean that the fox will stop work on all his projects.
